Fate: a very addictive game maybe to addictive! i just played the demo and need to know more before full review so wildgames if you hear send me an unlock code for a good or bad review and remember its not up to me but up to fate (you created him he should be on your side).

Pokemon Pearl: Pokemon pearl is one of the best pokemons yet with lots of cool pokemon and better graphics than the rest of the pokemon (apart from diamond) . pokemon pearl is also one of the most addictive and fun pokemon games yet with some new cool hidden secret pokemon (Rare) so if you’re thinking of buying a pokemon get pokemon pearl!

Runescape: Runescape is a massive rpg online multiplayer game with good graphics good quests good interface and just an alround good game and the best part is its free and you dont have to download anything (unless you haven’t got java) i reccomend this game for all game players.

Exteel: A great game where you are a robot fighting other robots whilst gaining levels buying weapons and skills exteel is a good online game i reccomend this game also.

Oblivion Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the best of all the elder scrolls great graphics a fun RPG with a great story lots of guilds there are more skills more spells more weapons more everything a great game 10/10 a must play there are also cool quests you can do so get out there and destroy the gates of Oblivion!!!!!

Azurik:Rise of Perathia: this is a pretty good game about a young man (azurik) also skilled fighter finds himself playing the role of hero when the elemental disks the only thing keeping perathia from falling are shattered and spread across the lands by one man who accidently found the most dark and evil of all disks this man also kills his and azuriks own master (Both have the same master) azurik must find all the disks to keep perathia from falling into the darkness! i rate this game 9.0/10 Very good Bravo!

Ah, Loverboy. My theme of a Friday afternoon at work, I’ll just start singing it as I’m cleaning. Okay, granted it’s been half term the past week and I wasn’t at work on Friday, but still!

I realise that I may be a little obsessive compulsive. A while ago, I started working on a method to choosing what to bring with me for the Omega Sektor NC Soft Minicon. Next April. Yeah, getting a good headstart on me there. I realise that last year I brought a lot of redundancies and such, and I did similar when I went to Bristol Comic Expo 2008. I brought boots, shoes, a nice skirt and a top to possibly wear on the Saturday evening out with my friend, but slummed it in Jeans and a tank top in the end. Y’know, the chic geek casual look.

Not for OS 2009 though! Or as I like to call it, OSMiCon. I just couldn’t fit NC Soft into the title either… though NC-OSMiCon is just a few numbers and a C short of being a Federation starship registration.

What’s the plan, I hear you ask? Well, firstly I shall be taking -3- bags. Yes, that’s a lot, but! These aren’t big old bags like I had with me last time. Bag Number 1 is my laptop bag. This will be used for carrying a few changes of tops… and that’s pretty much it. The rest of the space in there will be for phat lewt. Bag Number 2 is the Red NC Soft bag I got as a goodie from the last NCOSMiCon, which will contain essentials such as feminine things. Bag 3 would be my trusty handbag, carrying money, mobile, medication and train tickets. No huge green holdall to wander about with! If I can get a ASUS Eee PC before then, that’d probably be among my possessions along with the charger. Oh, DIgicam too. And MP3 player.

Note to self, pick up Blue bag next year if they do them.

Still, as you can tell, I’m looking forwards to it already. The last NCOSMiCon I was at was a great laugh, despite me breaking one of the Cardinal Rules of Meatspace, having a panic attack in front of NC Soft Sidekick Wild_Red, incidents of gender confusion, sleep deprivation (my own fault), and generally making an idiot of myself at times. I’m still a newbie at meatspace interaction, honest. The staff at Omega Sektor were all great, as were the people I met too. Of course I have a somewhat vested interest in attending the next one, and hoping someone else may also be able to attend. And that’s all I’ll say on that matter.

Onwards with MMO, geek and other such stuff!

City of Heroes: Pain is Psychic Clockwork Defeat All Missions on big layered outdoor maps. We’ve been trying to put together some of the Guardians of Destiny to do the Imperious TF, but it’s a case of getting access to the Midnighter Club first for a lot of members, and as they don’t count as Zone or Mini Story Arcs, that means having to clear other arcs first for players.

My Psychic blaster is level 11 now, but not had time to level him much more, and I did some… gasp, Pick Up Grouping on Umbral Pulsar, my ‘Redeemed Division’ Warshade, that involved chats about non-travel powered heroes, vehicles, and other such stuff. One thing of amusement was this:

Guild Wars: I. Hate. Pick Up Groups.

I had my first PuG today. It was awful. It all started off well, except for the Me/N’s odd ability to take a ton of damage and yet not have Ether Feast in their skill bar to heal up, even when her health was redlining. She then went afk around the time of the first Devourer boss, and then logged soon after. Down to three. The team leader of the party, a R/Wr insisted we didn’t do the bonus mission as ‘takes 2 much time lol’. How eloquent. He then disconnects right near the end of the mission, and the last member, a Em/Mo, went down in the opening volley of char attacks, leaving me to deal with 5 wave of enemies by myself.

I came, I saw, and I kicked ass. Now, I’m a Mesmer/Elementalist, but honestly? I don’t really use my Elementalist powers that much. At all. I removed Lesser Glyph of Energy and the one that heals when you use spells simply because… I didn’t need it! And it showed as I taught those filthy pyromaniac Tauren wanabees who was the boss.

I had to run the mission again afterwards so I could complete the bonus mission, but score, one of the mobs dropped Vial of Dye [Black]. That’s 6 Platinum (or 6,000 Gold) in the bank. Score. Next up: Nolani Academy.

World of Warcraft: I’ve not actually done much in WoW lately. I did log on to do some RP, but I just wasn’t in the mood for the irrepressible rogue, Zack Tanner. Need to gb2/Outland/ soon, but firstly  I think I may run some more low level instances for loot, crafting materials and disenchanting stuff.

Exteel: Level 8! Always fun to log on and blast some mechs to kill some time, I’d really recommend people trying it at least. Come on, the game is free and the client is under a gig in size! You can spare a gig for some mechanaught shooting action, right?

Lineage 2: Though I can’t spare time for this. More on it later, but me and the game just do not like each other. It just wasn’t fated to work. I’m sorry Lineage 2, you’re just… too…. disagreeable with me.

Phantasy Star Universe: Cutscene, please. How many more cutscenes are you going to unleash on me, with your terrible voice acting, repeated emotes that usually have no reference to what’s going on and look ridiculous, and cliched storyline. C’mon Sega, Phantasy Star 2 and Phantasy Star 4 were great! And this is what you do to us? If it wasn’t for cool photon swords, I wouldn’t know why I bothered.

Oh, I miss your old control scheme and spell system. Photon recharge for individual weapons kills meseta. Fast.

Coming up today is a fairly robust roundup of the MMO market to my knowledge, from things I’ve played and things I’ve yet to. So saddle up, put on some chaps and get ready to be taken for a ride through the fields where the MMO’s roam and the Developers groan.

Below you’ll find news on 9 different MMO games and some other tidbits too, so read on!

City of Heroes/Villains: Issue 12 has been out for a few days now, and I’ve started to look into some of the Midnight Squad missions with fellow RP’ers from EU RP guilds The Militia and The Silent Tempest. For the first two missions I’ve done, let me just say. There’s a hell of a lot of Rikti. Attack of the X-Box armour too, in the case of Headman Gunners. People are reporting some connectivity problems, though that may just be the UK to Mainland EU infrastructure, which is less than stellar and literally a tangled web in places.

Psychic Blast/Mental Manipulation continues to be very fun, and at the UK Games Expo there’s a new addition to the Saturday line up at Draw the World Together; frequent Games Workshop artist Karl Kopinski.

There are still Known Issues with The Midnight Hour, so people having problems with the game should check it out there. Also, two community members have worked on a comic to celebrate Issue 12, which can be found in PDF form at this link. Good work, Chase Arcanum and Cinder Flame!

Dungeon Runners: Currently receiving patches for its retail launch, the free-to-play MMO has recently had some changes in Build 121, that include members getting 15% more experience. Of course, technically this is not the case, they get 100% of the exp. People on free play accounts such as myself have had an exp gain reduction of 13.6%. Of course, membership does only cost $4.99 if it really bothers you.

They did add a new system where completing a quest gives you a 15% exp gain bonus (Named ‘15% more cowbell’ in honour of the SNL Blue Oyster Cult skit), and general ‘class’ tweaks (though the game is a classless system in essence, it just affects how you start off) plus some PVP reworking to make things more fair. The retail box is due out in late June at this moment in time, and includes a free passive skill that summons a Bling Gnome to gather gold for you. Build 123 was release a bit later that added some more tweaks to the game and some bug fixes. The game still only has US servers, with no current plans to my knowledge for a EU server and release.

Exteel: The MMO3PS Mech game, another in NC Soft’s Free to Play lineup, had a content patch a few days ago that added some new weapons (for Credit purchases, instead of the micro-transaction NCCoin), skills and some bug fixes, including to the rapid refresh of the lobby screen that made selecting a match to play in hellsome. No word on Clans yet though. As with DR, no plan on an EU release as of yet.

Tabula Rasa: Deployment 8.4 has been live for a few days now, bringing some class changes, tweaks, bugfixes and content to the game. My playtest during the trial is still going, and I’ve found myself oddly split over what to think of the game. It’s cool, definitely, and the setting is rather funky, but parts of the execution, the missions and the interface just don’t seem to appeal to me. Of course, the trial is still ongoing with keys still available, so skip back a few posts or look on the official site for your chance to get in on the action.

Also throwing out a plug to the Tabula Rasa Unoffical forums, which are run by a friend of mine (and DJ at Titan Gaming Radio) Gangrel. I’m sure if you have questions about the game, this place is a good start to finding answers. You may also wish to drop by TabulaCast and TabulaBlogger for more information on the game.

World of Warcraft: Level 60 has been hit, the grind for gold continues to get my epic mount and riding skill. Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational event will be occurring in Paris on June 28th and 29th, where visitors will be able to experience a hands on playtest of the upcoming expansion ‘Wrath of the Lich King’, which will take heroes to Northrend to face the bitter cold of snow and darkness. Or embrace it as the Death Knight Hero Class, which has just had some more details released about it.

There is still no beta for the expansion, though certain competitions from the company have guaranteed invites as a prize.

EVE Online: Playtesting will begin today for their latest content update, the Empyrean Age, scheduled for Summer release on the live servers. Bringing more content, gameplay changes and ways of play to the star system, people can check out the space-faring sci-fi game with a 14 day Free Trial. I’ve played EVE myself, but didn’t really find it to my liking. A bit too much of a small fish, huge pond, bigger sharks feeling, if you get my drift, but give it a try yourself and see.

The game may have some competition for its genre soon, from the upcoming Jumpgate Evolution. Time will tell to see how the battle plays out.

Guild Wars: Some skill balancing is coming soon for the MMORPG, which you can read the details on here over at the offical GW wiki. Some bug fixes were also brought in with this patch, which is always good. Also this weekend you’ll get Triple key and lockpick drops during play time, and when using Lockpicks on chests get double points towards the Lucky/Unlucky Titles. I really need to get playing some more on my Mesmer/Elementalist, but what with Tabula Rasa, City of Heroes and World of Warcraft, I’ve just not had the time.

Lineage 2: I’ve still yet to try my trial of this game, but I have some news for you! The event for the latest content update to the game, Hellbound, has been extended to the 27th of May, allowing you more time to partake in the activities. Of interest is the Adventurer’s Guides, that will assist new players with special novice weapons available from Level 6 plus. Good time to give the game a go.

Age of Conan: The latest contender to the MMO market, currently in Early Access for EU players, recently had some issues with missing nipples on character models. The dev team was quick to state on the patch launcher that this was nothing to do with censorship and a mere technical issue. Considering you decapitate, disembowel and eviscerate people, you’d think -nipples- would be the last of the censors worries. Oh wait, male nipples are fine, female nipples are sexual and will corrupt innocent youths who shouldn’t be playing the game at all. Go Team America!

Good news for all those RP’ers out there who didn’t want to play on Aquilonia, an RP-PVP server. Funcom have finally put up an RP-PVE server, named Hyrkania. When it’s time for me to test the game, and I will, I’ll check out both servers so I can try and get some ideas on PVE and PVP. Got some character concepts ready for giving RP a try.

Oh, one game I’m keeping my eye on is Aion, which from what I’ve seen of gameplay footage looks very fluid. Warhammer Online may also get a look in from me, even though I’ve not had much to do with the IP or that of 40k.

Oh, I hear the folk over at NC Soft Austin have been working on a new fantasy MMORPG. Scott Jennings speaks about it and the industry over in this interview. Whether this has anything to do with the Java engine world building tool that the Austin folks have been working on, well, who knows?

That’s right folks, it’s the mandatory MMORPG news post 1! I also need to start thinking now for a suitably unwitty title for post 2 whenever that comes!

As a somewhat avid, some would say rabid (and to them I say ‘grrrrr’, swipe and foam at the mouth), MMO player, I feel it is my duty to waste storage space on the interweb waffling on about what I think and feel.

Tabula Rasa: Now, at the moment, I’m just installing the client now. Rather silly of me, I’m downloading it instead of using the handy pre-order CD I got in a goody bag at the City of Heroes Minicon at Omega Sektor in Birmingham, March 2007 (/plug). 17 minutes to go so far. But what pre-conceptions do I bring with me to the game?

Well, from what I’ve seen on YouTube, I’m… not really sure -what- to expect. I feel the best way is to just walk into the game and face it head on. MMOFPSRPG chimera, even though it is in third person, is kind of what I’m expecting. Mix the bastard child of CoH and Starship Troopers, along with Exteel, and this is the kind of gist I’m getting. Still, got my 5 day trial code ready to play, and may grab the NC Soft Starter Pack for it too to give it more of a try if needed. For only £1.99 for a client disc and 14 day trial, I feel that’s good value!

World of Warcraft: Yes, it’s that game. Warcrack, World of Evercraft, whatever you wish to call it. An intermittent year on from first starting playing and my main Alliance character, Zackary Tanner, has reached level 60. The vast expanse of Outland now awaits me.

But what do I make of Outland? Firstly, the quest rewards. I can understand why they call them ‘Welfare Greens and Blues’, but damn are they sweet, and they were the perfect things to boost Zack’s equipment and stats up for taking on the hoards of demons. Currently stationed at Honour Hold while running about Azeroth as well, at the moment the level grind has been replaced with something else.

The gold grind. You see, I need an epic mount. +100% travel speed? Yes please, Outland is a big place after all, and filled with many a demon. And annoying, user error (IE. my own) means that I accidently sold a [Forumla: Enchant Weapon - Crusader] for 1/100th of it’s market price. Mmm, the princely sum of 1g 30s. Someone got a -real- good deal thanks to that. Ah well, World of Grindcraft continues with me running old instances to get various materials to sell, craft with, or disenchant, as well as flinging the things I can’t disenchant over to my friend.

It’s also kind of scary to see how fond the RP community on my server (That’d be Ravenholdt, RP-PVP) are of me.

Wrath of the Lich King brings some promising features, such as the ability to ride on the mount of another player. Will be rather cool for hitching a ride, especially on characters who are a lower level, and it’ll make ferrying people about much easier. Death Knights are apparently as of this moment unlocked for those who are level 55, I can’t quite remember if they have a quest to unlock, but they start off at a higher level, with a selection of greens and blues. I may have a little mess about on one to see what they’re like. It’s also a case of one per account per realm server.

Still, from an RP perspective, playable Death Knights are almost as bad as Vampire Princesses of Stormwind in Goldshire. Or all the ERP that takes place in public channels. I’m looking at you Goldshire!

The new profession of Inscription may be interesting, giving you a boost to your abilities, such as quicker recharge, more damage, or other side effects. I’ve also heard promising rumours of enchanters being able to sell enchants through the Auction House, which would make leveling Enchanting -much- easier. Oh, new dances and haircuts too, plus the ability to change hair styles. I hope we can change faces and facial hair too…

City of Heroes: Issue 12: Midnight Hour is live! Villan Epic Archetypes, the Soldiers of Arachnos and Widows for people with level 50 heroes, Powerset Proliferation, a brand new zone set in the past, and new story arcs to do with the Midnight Squad.

I’ve yet to play it myself, I deliberately avoided trying it out on Test as I was suffering from CoH burnout, and still kind of am, but may have a bimble on there tonight to see what’s what. And check out the mass of Quality of Life Changes, including stuff that should help stop the inf spammers that have been plauging the server as of late.

RP wise, I still really need to recharge my batteries for CoH. I dunno what came over me, though I think it may be burnout from trying to set up a new Supergroup, and 3 year syndrome may be another cause. Over three years actually… wow, January 2005. It’s been a long, long time.

With NorCal buying the IP from Cryptic, I’m hoping for big things, and possibly a bigger sequel. With a non-graphics chewing engine. More on that later. Speaking of graphics…

Age of Conan: What kind of MMORPG post would this be without mentioning FunCom’s new flagship (If the name sounds familiar, they were behind Anarchy Online.) The game is for one, certainly not hard drive or download friendly, considering something like a 23 gig client and a 15 gig patch for it. That’s bigger than WoW and FFXI with all the patches and updates put together.

Graphically, it’s pretty. Very pretty. But of course, graphics come at a price (except oddly in Guild Wars case) and there may be issues for many who want to play the game. I’ve seen it chugging in beta on a fairly hefty machine, and I’ve heard cases of it chugging on real hardcore gaming machines, and having issues with multi-core processors.

Gameplay wise, I only played a little bit with it in Beta, I found it was very… well, WoW-ish. It was a very pretty WoW, with a combat system that was a bit more involving and certainly interesting, but WoWish all the same. Plus making a character on a poorly lit galley may be good for IC reasons (even if having all your characters in the story starting off as a slave and winding up in a pirate town), when it comes to seeing what the hell you’re doing, then you’re a little out of luck.

I’ll be hopefully grabbing a buddy key to dip my toes in the water and unleash the side of me that likes dressing up in leather and being scantily clad.

Moreso.

Guild Wars: Well, I’m surprised.

I first picked up Guild Wars in November 2007. By that I mean a friend brought Prophecies for me as it was only £10 and I was intersested in playing, mucked abotu with it a little and got confused. Lost the game client in crash and didn’t pay much attention, until I decided for a break from CoH.

When you get down to it, GW is a nifty game, and certainly innovative from its design, marketing and payment approach. Letting you solo with henchmen (or in Nightfall/Eye of the North with Heroes, who are Henchmen+) or teaming up, though I’ve yet to do the latter is refreshing from games such as Final Fantasy XI, where soloing is auto-masochism, but less fun.

No subscription fees means you can come and go from it as you want without worrying about payment, making it a very casual, relaxed thing to play, and the instancing means you don’t have to worry about killstealers and can be sheltered from some of the more, well, immature chat in outposts and towns. I did find one problem with the instancing, which is where on the Prophecies mission to get into the game proper, someone quit the team at the end which meant I couldn’t talk to Prince Rurik in the scene afterwards as we were all warped to Post-Searing Ascalon City.

PVP wise, well, I haven’t tried that yet, but the way of splitting the main PVP game from the game proper to help with loot imbalances and such seems like a good idea in theory, one that WoW have borrowed for their Tourney servers. Considering ArenaNet is made up of ex-Blizzard employees, that’s gotta say something.

Finally, to wrap up this leviathan of a post, I shall mention three things in passing, all NCSoft games.

Exteel: An MMO3PS (That’s 3rd Person Shooter. Go me, I’m making up acronyms!) that’s free to play with microtransactions for NCCoin to buy better stuff (I think it’s about 2000 NC coin for $20, which can buy you a complete mech and array of weapons, paint job and skills to go with it.) Twitchy game, and there’s a few issues with it still, but hopefully they should be ironed out. Worth getting if you like stompy mechs and just logging on to relieve some stress.

Dungeon Runners: Parody, thy name is Dungeon Runners, especially where Diablo is concerned. Free to play, mostly (You get more features and earn exp 15% quicker if you’re a member, it costs $4.99 a month, which is about the price of eating something for lunch in pounds) you play an eponymous Dungeon Runner, who’s goal is to run into dungeons, murderdeathkill, complete quests and run out again with phat lewt. The humour of the game, quests and interface is very tongue in cheek, and as mentioned earlier parodies Diablo a lot. A small client too, and while I haven’t teamed with anyone or done much chatting, it may be worth it just if you’re looking for something to do and a small creature or several to maim.

Lineage 2: After reciving a free trial key to this now somewhat ageing Korean MMORPG at Bristol Comic Expo, I’ll be giving this game a try soon.

NCSoft’s Exteel is a science fiction based shooter. Game play is based around piloting a mech through various game modes, equipped with a panoply of different weapons. The game seems solid, and NCSoft is testing a micro-transaction system which allows you to buy weapons and items for Exteel. Personally, I haven’t been able to play the game for more than 5 minutes. The game starts acting all wonky on my computer and tech support seems unable to figure out why, which is why this post is a preview instead of a review. On a positive note, NCSoft’s tech support for free players is excellent.

I na press release NCSoft announces the introduction of their microtransactions system for in-game items, NCCoin. The first game to get this is the mech game Exteel, but the press release indicates that other future games as well as existing games may also get into NCCoin at a later stage.

Which other existing games will get NCCoin? With this model being more accepted in Asia my guess is that the Lineage games might get it. Neither Tabula Rasa nor City of Heroes/Villains are particularly item centric games, so they do not seem very likely targets. Getting enough in-game currency to buy stuff one may need is not a big problem in either game either, although City of Heroes/Villains have started to get plagued by rare item farming activities, so perhaps there are some opportunities to squeeze some cach out from farming players there.

I’m not sure about the viability in Guild Wards for this; it was too long ago since I played it and I never got very far in that game anyway.

Exteel 2.2.1.0 – Juego Primera Persona Online

Además, este armamento es actualizable -se ganan créditos a lo largo del juego- y cada robot es totalmente configurable según tu manera de combatir: mayor velocidad, mayor potencia de fuego o mayor resitencia a los impactos de otros jugadores.

Su sistema de juego, en segundo lugar, te sonará si has jugado a Rakion o Gunz ya que se trata de acción pura a través de diferentes modos de juego: DeathMatch (todos contra todos) Team DeathMatch (equipos contra equipos), Territory Control (Control de Territorio) y Last Man Stand (el último en pie). Algunos de ellos salen en muchos juegos online, otros como Territory Control -modo de juego en el que gana quien más puntos estratégicos domina- o Last Man Stand -el último que quede vivo, gana- son más novedosos.

En tercer lugar hay que hablar de los gráficos del juego que son impresionantes. Excelente en los decorados y en el modelado y animación de los robots y, además, Exteel cuenta con efectos visuales para las armas impresionantes. Los efectos de sonido son lo más destacado del apartado sonoro, aunque el juego tiene una banda sonora que está muy bien, pero que no escucharás por la cantidad de disparos que hay en cada partida. “

Es lo que nos dice nuestro amigo de Softonic, pero para ser mas sincero, nos olvidamos de todo eso y me kedo con dos:
La positiva es que tiene unos graficos exelente y muchos chiches…
La mala es que todo es online, desde tener que registrar al usuario en la web, hasta tener que esperar a que se descarguen las actualizaciones del juego por mas de que ya este instalado…
Ahora, les tiro la ultima pero no se me maten porke igual el juego da! La practica… es lo mas denso..
