Corey Bohan top rated BMX rider, in 2006. Lets’s see what he is up to.

btw there were some gossips about him and Adrina Patridge. Oh yeah,… here they were seen together

but phuck that, let’s see some skills on the next video: Corey Bohan – Night riding footage by Red Bull team:

like that vid, tight tricks!

But frankly speaking, i think there is something wrong with his style, but his technics is indisputably awesome.

one more his video from Red Bull Empire Of Dirt 2008

And the last video, but not the least, Corey also appears to be here on Fiji on Red Bull Tabua.

I am sure they got thousands of great photos and clips there. Stunning landscapes! check it:

Really fantastic shots of big wave surfing by BBC. Dylan Longbottom surfing a 12 foot monster barrel wave recorded in a super slow-mo.

watch it in HD quality 1080 p, just to enjoy all those vortices, when it is shot under water. Incredible!

The half way point of the marathon was exhilarating for me. I was feeling strong, and my time was ou

The half way point of the marathon was exhilarating for me. I was feeling strong, and my time was outstanding. I wondered if I could keep it up, but I remembered several folks telling me that you run much faster than you train, so I wasn’t worried.

Having seen Amy and the girls between mile 13 and 14, I was ready to go the distance.

We smartly let up a bit as our second half progressed, and I was feeling so good that I began to wonder if the 20 mile wall existed. Well, I discovered that it does. At 18, my legs started to tighten. My wind was still great, but the weight of the race was crashing in on me. 8 miles to go seemed like a million.

My running buddy was starting to pull away from me a bit, and every time I worked to catch up with him, I discovered that my legs were getting progressively worse. We passed the 20 mile mark amid family and friend cheers, but I figured I would not be able to keep within eye distance of my buddy for much longer.

At 22 miles, there was wall with a door built into it in the middle of the road. A sign on it read, “Don’t hit the wall. Slap it!” Metaphorically, the idea was not to succumb to the dreaded marathon wall but take action against it. I was happy to make it through the wall at all as my right hamstring felt like there was a baseball sized knot in it.

Twice I told my buddy to run on ahead, but he wouldn’t do it. Finally, I told him, “Don’t worry, there is nothing that is going to keep me from finishing but you need to run your race.” Ultimately, he did, and I’m glad for him. He finished 10 minutes ahead of me.

The last 4 miles were going to be solo.

At 23 miles, the course came to a ridiculous ascent. It didn’t end with a plateau but with a hard right turn and a smaller but no less arduous climb. That was the last time on the race that I passed any one. Folks were stopping left and right, and most of them were stopping to massage out muscles aches. My run was slow but still a run nonetheless.

I kept praying, “God, please help me finish this. Please be merciful to me.”

Along mile 24, we ran beside Panther stadium which took us under a bridge. There was a thunderously loud marching band playing underneath. Their joy was encouraging but the deafening sound was the most motivating. It was so loud under that bridge I had to keep running.

Finally, I hit mile 25, and I knew I was going to finish. I picked up my pace a bit and started scanning for the finish line. I seemingly had forgotten the .2 part of 26.2. That .2 was a final run into a chute that was ridiculously up hill. I crossed with a smile on my face joyfully as I saw Amy and the girls cheer me on.

The volunteers give you a blanket, a medal, and a Gatorade (which I drank in a millisecond). Then I was incredibly aware of the vomit smell as so many before me had been hurling all around the finish line. I hadn’t wanted to throw up until that smell, and fortunately, I was able to hold it down.

As I hugged my family, it felt like the temperature dropped 20 degrees. After so long on the road, you just don’t notice the temperature any more, but I definitely did once I stopped running. I was freezing.

As I walked in circles trying to figure out what to do, I realized I just wanted to go get a shower and rest for a minute. The problem was that our car was at least a one mile walk away which was as painful for me as the last couple miles on the course.

I’ll probably run another marathon, but next time, I’ll be the one in control my pace. But until then, the experience is still a wonderful paradox for me: full of absolutely joy and terrifying misery at the same time.

Over the span of his career, he not only achieved enviable fame but also equally enviable wealth. He was considered the man to promote products that mean success in life. So he endorsed and promote many high lifestyles products. In the process, apart from him, the advertisers, the media, the ad agencies, the PR agencies, the goods manufacturers, etc. all made tons on money alongside him.

Now that he is caught in a scandal, which is more titilating than scandalous, all of the media – press, websites, feeders, paparazzi, reporter, etc. are having a good time collecting any small nuts and bits about his life that can add spice to the already hot news item of his affairs. He is now the most searched person on the search engines such as Google, Yahoo, AOL, Bing, etc. The media and paparazzi are trying to find some more skeletons (even a small bone is a treasure now) in his cupboard. Everybody has turned into a newsperson and is expecting to make a good amount by exposing about Tiger Woods. Sometimes the dead are more valuable than the living ones.

No doubt, it is said that, once you are celebrity, you automatically become a public property, and under the scanner of a million eyes. You probably loose your old privacy. All you life becomes social and the public turns you into a demi-GOD and expects you walk the line that the society has drawn and you not expected to deviate, however little whatsoever. Or else, its a field time again for the media to show the ‘other’ of you.

We all want to become famous, but wonder how many can handle such a situation when it arises.

Thanks to a free month-long trial subscription to Netflix, I have now watched the entire 5 seasons o

Thanks to a free month-long trial subscription to Netflix, I have now watched the entire 5 seasons of Weeds, and season 1 of Californication.

I found this dramatic interlude highly enjoyable. And it got me thinking about the extreme stakes narrative trend that both shows utilize. While both shows are naturalistic, in emotion and character, they flirt with the surreal in their constant crazy heightening of unrealistic stakes and plot. While I personally have never hurled myself out of an airplane, or “gotten air” on skis, sure, I can see the appeal. Likewise, there is a distinct thrill of watching Nancy Botwin (Mary-Lousie Parker) of Weeds decide, upon finding herself confronted with a threatening drug dealer, that a quickie with him by her car is too irresistible to pass up. After a few seasons of Weeds, I found myself thinking, just how far can this possibly go? And go they have, while maintaining just a thread of believability, or at least they are maintaing the suspension of disbelief.

Similarly, Californication has the same surrealistic realism that makes the show both unbelievably enjoyable as in, enjoyable and only barely realistic (LA is like that, but also not like that), but the writers and actors have taken it one step further. David Duchovny’s Hank Moody has an extreme stakes personality. Talk about a thrill.

He is constantly being humiliated and yet never humiliated, never defensive. He owns up to everything, embraces every personal flaw, owns everything, and is indestructible as a result, at least as of season one. It’s breathtaking to watch the imperviousness of a character who never denies who they are and how badly they act. He is in a constant state of hurling himself into the void. He is also hugely successful as a likable character. Deeply flawed, he is fundamentally a good person. (Hooker with a heart of gold, anyone?) He is simultaneously an excessive lover of women, and an excessive lover of womenkind.

I don’t know if the appearance in the mainstream of these kama kazi stories and characters represent a bit of our collective yearning to go loco in the face of our very difficult political, economic and environmental circumstances and the difficult future which seems to loom ahead. Stories have always been useful as a means of throwing ourselves, experientially, into the void, and getting to see how it feels without having to actually climb Mt. Everest with an oxygen tank. And while some actually choose to stand on the mountain top and push off, I am going to stick with the storytelling from those daring writers who imagine themselves there and then dream up what comes next.

The Nuclear Football (also called the Atomic Football, President’s Emergency Satchel, The Button, The Red Button, The Black Box, or just The Football) is a black briefcase meant to be used by the President of the United States of America to authorize a nuclear attack while away from fixed command centers, such as the White House Situation Room. It functions as a mobile hub in the strategic defense system of the United States. The President is always accompanied by a military aide carrying a “football” with launch codes for nuclear weapons.

It is a metallic Zero Halliburton briefcase carried in a black leather “jacket.” The package weighs 40 pounds (18 kg). A small antenna protrudes from the bag near the handle. A black cable is employed that loops around the handle of the bag and the wrist of the aide.

There are four things in the Football. The Black Book containing the retaliatory options, a book listing classified site locations, a manila folder with eight or ten pages stapled together giving a description of procedures for the Emergency Broadcast System, and a three-by-five inch card with authentication codes. The Black Book was about 9 by 12 inches and had 75 loose-leaf pages printed in black and red. On the ‘vital’ page listing possible responses to a nuclear attack, retaliatory options appear in red” and were labeled: ‘Rare, Medium or Well Done.’ The book with classified site locations was about the same size as the Black Book, and was black. It contained information on sites around the country where the president could be taken in an emergency.

If the President, who is Commander-in-Chief, decides to order the use of nuclear weapons, he would be taken aside by the “carrier” and the briefcase opened. Once opened, a command signal or (watch) alert is issued to the Joint Chiefs. The aide and the President would review the attack options and decide upon a plan, such as a single cruise missile or a large ICBM launch. These are precoded, preset war plans, developed under the SIOP, or Single Integrated Operational Plan, which at one time represented the entire joint US/UK plan for “disassembling” the USSR by means of nuclear weapons. It is unclear if it uses SATCOM or VLFT (very low frequency transmission), or VHFT (very high frequency transmission). Next, using the SATCOM radio, the aide would make contact with the National Military Command Center or, in a post-first strike situation, an airborne command-post plane (likely a Boeing E-4B).

Before the order would be processed by the military, the President must be positively identified using a special code issued on a plastic card, nicknamed the “biscuit.” The United States has a two-man rule in place, and while only the President can order the release of nuclear weapons, the order must be confirmed by the Secretary of Defense. Once all the codes had been verified, the military would issue attack orders to the proper units. These orders are given and reverified for authenticity.

The football is carried by one of the rotating presidential military aides (one from each of the five service branches), who occasionally is physically attached to the briefcase. This person is a commissioned officer in the U.S. military, pay-grade O-4 or above, who has undergone the nation’s most rigorous background check (Yankee White). These officers, who are armed, are required to keep the football within ready access of the President at all times. Consequently, an aide, football in hand, is always either standing or walking near the President or riding in Air Force One, Marine One or the presidential motorcade with the President. There are three such ‘footballs’ in existence — the first travels with the President, a spare is kept at the White house and the third is with the Vice President.

BASE Jumping : a very Extreme Sport BASE jumping is not a sport for the faint of heart. Athletes who

BASE Jumping : a very Extreme Sport

BASE jumping is not a sport for the faint of heart. Athletes who practice this intense sport climb to the apex of tall buildings, canyons, or other structures, jump off and enjoy a period of free falling, then open a parachute and coast to the ground. The acronym BASE stands for building, antennae, span, and earth, which make up a comprehensive list of what types of fixed objects BASE jumpers plummet from. Span is a term that includes all kinds of bridges, or any other structures that span over a valley or chasm. Earth means anything from cliffs to mountains to canyons. BASE jumping is extraordinarily perilous for a selection of reasons, but the commonest reasons for injury and death have to do with failure to maintain a clear area round the sportsman during the jump and the landing. If the wind is against them or if they make a boo boo during the launch of their jump, athletes infrequently collide with the object that they have leaped from. Because BASE jumping areas are often not designated for this guerilla-style sport, the makeshift landing targets that jumpers shoot for are barely massive enough to make allowance for a safe jump, and many BASE fans meet with serious and infrequently lethal wounds because they haven’t been ready to steer themselves to the landing area in time.

many folks liken BASE jumping to bungee jumping without a bungee cord, but it is basically much more close to skydiving without an aeroplane. Jumpers practice lots of the same systems that divers use to maintain stability and altitude awareness while they’re in the air. Before becoming a BASE jumper, an athlete must finish a full course of skydiver training. After they have their full skydiving validation, the following step for anyone interested in BASE is to get a coach in the jumping community who can teach them how to take on these ambitious freefalls. Only experienced divers can even consider a BASE jump because this type of unguided and somewhat unpredictable activity needs incredibly sharp appreciation of altitude, and some stellar free fall method.

BASE jumping is one of the most unsafe sports practiced today. Every year, BASE jumping leads to many deaths, and most major BASE societies and clubs have seen 1 member perish in pursuit of the game that he or she loved. Because no 2 jumps are alike, it is very hard to forecast what will happen after you start plummeting towards the ground. This means that to survive a BASE jump, you want to have a particularly level head, a ability to react to surprises without panicking, and lightning speed reflexes that will enable you to make instantaneous adjustments in your position or your course. However [*COMMA] no amount of experience can guarantee that you will complete your jump without mishap, so even really accomplished jumpers are taking serious risks every time they gear up to hurl themselves off of a building, antennae, span, or natural cliff.

Each year we see the release of countless updated sports titles from publisher giants like EA and Konami. The problem with sports games is, very rarely they offer a new experience. Even publishers like Activision knows the fruits that exist within franchises like the Tony Hawk series. With countless sports titles on the market, it’s hard to imagine where they all came from. This week I want to take you back to 1987, where the extreme sports title California Games was born.

California games focused on sports primarily popular in California (coincidently), which at the time included skateboarding, footbag, surfing, flying disc, roller skating and BMX. We have a sports title that provided an experience of not one, but 6 extreme sports. Although the company who published this title later filed bankruptcy, California games received modest reviews, and has been ported to numerous consoles and mobile apps.

The game itself delivered some great examples of early videogames integration of sports, with particularly in depth skating and surfing available in the game. The game also provided a brilliant 16-bit soundtrack that also contributed to the games success. This undoubtedly is one of my favourite games on the Mega-Drive, and if your a retro gamer, this might be worth investing some of your spare cash on.
