Ma femme a récemment obtenu le Samsung Player (aka SGH-F490) et j’en ai profité pour faire quelques photos comparatives avec le Nokia N810. Comme vous pouvez le voir, le Player est un peu plus petit, entièrement tactile et assez sympa dans l’ensemble, tant au niveau design que fonctions (APN 5MegaPix, Lecteur multimedia, Bluetooth…). Pour avoir pu l’utiliser un petit peu, le Player s’avère assez pratique, même si l’UI, quelque fois un peu laborieuse aurait pu être améliorée De plus, et alors que les modèles avec écran tactile se multiplient, je ne suis pas encore convaincu à 100%, j’aime bien avoir un clavier (old school forever), et vous chers lecteurs, le tactile, ça vous tente?

Another touchscreen from Samsung, the SGH-F490 is a 3.5G HSDPA device with a large 3.2 inch screen with an unusual 240 x 432 pixel resolution. This is roughly a 16:9 ratio, indicating that the F490 is optimised for widescreen video playback if rotated by ninety degrees.

The Samsung F490 features the same “Croix” interface found on the Samsung Armani phone, which probably pitches the handset directly against the iPhone in terms of market appeal. The screen also has a type of tactile feedback, so pressing the icons results in a slight vibration, similar to Motorola’s “haptic” technology.

On the back is a 5 megapixel camera with flash, but there is no mention of autofocus which would be a serious omission on a camera of this type. And although the F490 supports HSDPA high-speed data in addition to 3G, the handset does not support WiFi.

Internal memory is 130MB, and this can be expanded with microSD cards. The SGH-F490 also has a standard 3.5mm socket for headphones, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0. It’s a relatively slim unit at 11.8mm thick.

There’s no wording on price or availability, and Samsung haven’t exactly been forthcoming with all the technical details, but we would expect to see it in the next few months.

Samsung probably hates it when people compare their devices to the Apple iPhone, but when you officially announce a cell phone like the Samsung F490, the comparisons are inevitable.  Now it’s official – the Samsung F490 has a large 3.2-inch TFT touchscreen display that covers nearly the entire front face of the phone. Underneath are a few touch sensitive controls for basic stuff like initiating and ending a call. The display can also be used in landscape for video watching. Features include 130MB of internal memory, Bluetooth, USB, tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and HSDPA. Look for the Samsung F490 to drop in Europe next month for $780.

Samsung F490, which launches in the UK in mid February, offers a huge 3.3 inch 16:9 wide screen display, enabling panoramic views of photos and videos. Samsung is also pushing the phone’s internet browsing capabilities, because, in addition to the large screen, the phone comes with a Google search engine and renders pages both vertically and horizontally.Despite a beefy set of features, including HSDPA web browsing speeds, the handset measures just 11.8mm deep, which is positively slimline for a smartphone. It also features the new Croix UI user interface, which enables users to control the phone’s features by tapping and dragging. For example, you can adjust music volume by stroking the screen from left to right or right to left.

Other top features include 30fps video playback, stereo Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headset jack.

In den nächsten Monaten sollen drei neue Lifestyle-Handys von Samsung in den Handel kommen, darunter ein Touchscreen-Handy mit 5-Megapixel-Kamera und ein GPS-Handy. Daneben haben die Koreaner offenbar noch ein Dual-SIM-Handy in Petto.

Touchscreen-Handys liegen spätestens seit dem Apple iPhone groß im Trend. Der jüngste Sprössling dieser Familie kommt aus der koreanischen Handyfabrik Samsung. Er hört auf den Namen SGH-F490 und soll in den nächsten Monaten bei uns in den Handel kommen. Darüber hinaus kündigen sich mit dem SGH-J700 und dem SGH-i550 zwei gut ausgestattete Multimedia-Handys an. Offen ist bislang, wieviel die neuen Samsung Handys kosten werden.

SGH-F490 Das Touchscreen-Handy soll in die Fußstapfen des F700 Qbowl treten – eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit lässt sich zumindest äußerlich nicht abstreiten. Beim SGH-F490 kommt allerdings keine Tastatur zum Einsatz, bedient wird es hauptsächlich über das 3,2 Zoll große berührungsempfindliche Farbdisplay. Tasten unterhalb des Bildschirms dienen zum Annehmen und Beenden von Telefonaten. Zudem wird eine wesentlich leistungsfähigere Kamera mitgeliefert, so dass Bilder jetzt mit einer Auflösung von bis zu 5 Megapixel aufgenommen werden können. Ein Media-Player ist standardmäßig vorinstalliert, ebenso wie ein E-Mail-Client und WAP. Der interne Speicher beläuft sich auf 130 MB, ein Erweitern ist über optionale microSD-Karten möglich. Die mobile Datenübertragung erfolgt über Triband-GMS, UMTS und HSDPA.

Das SGH-i550 ist Samsungs erstes Handy mit integriertem GPS-Empfänger und kann somit zu Navigationszwecken eingesetzt werden. Die entsprechende Software lässt sich über einen Hotkey unterhalb des 2,6 Zoll großen Farbdisplays mit einem Klick aufrufen. Kartenmaterial sowie Informationen über Standorte oder Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich per HSDPA auf das Handy laden. Für Unterhaltung bei längeren Touren sorgt ein Musik- und Videoplayer. Er unterstützt alle gängigen Formate. An Bord findet sich auch eine 3,2-Megapixel-Kamera, die Datenübertragung erfolgt per Bluetooth und USB.

Der Slider ist mit einer 1,3-Megapixel-Kamera, einem Musik-Player für MP3-Formate sowie E-Mail-Client und diversen Organizerfunktionen bestückt. Zur Datenübertragung stellt das SGH-J700 eine Bluetooth- und eine USB-Schnittstelle bereit. Der interne Speicher des Triband-Handys beläuft sich auf acht MB, ist aber erweiterbar.

Im Netz kursieren zudem Berichte über ein weiteres Handy von Samsung. Bei dem SGH-P720 soll es sich um den Nachfolger des Armani-Handys handeln. Im Unterschied zu diesem, biete das P720 allerdings Platz für zwei SIM-Karten, die parallel betrieben werden können. Wie sein Vorgänger wird es über einen größzügigen 2,6 Zoll Touchscreen verfügen, der durch ein aufklappbares Cover geschützt wird.
