Ok look. We obviously have to come to an agreement. Swearing at each other won’t get us anywhere. Neither will arguing about who won. So I suggest that we give you Walrus and we keep Icicle. But at least we got back into the CP Warfare spirit. Nice battles, it was fun – even the arguing. So yeah, I agree with Ads. Let’s see what Sergie says now…

I agree, this was good battle. But I think since you didn’t give us Yeti with Walrus, but only Walrus, then we will have 1 more thing before we agree. You either declare RPF as the best medium army, and become close allies or fight again and see who earns it, and probably have more arguments again. -.-

If you choose the first option, the RPF will announce you as the 2nd best medium army due to sportsmanship and active, reasonable leaders. We will also present an “close-brother allie treaty” which will make RPF and MFW a brother army, also making RPF help MFW at any battle they wish us to attend. If RPF is in trouble, MFW also could help if they have time. Sounds like a good deal unless you want the same thing over again with Option 2.

Fiasco121’s Forever Banned Status: Now Active

I do not know why in the world did Fiasco change our chat’s pass, and ran away to MFW. That is treason, probably one of the worst things you could do in the army.. their was a fair amount of people on RPF chat. There was friend’s of Fiasco, and people who didn’t know him. I told RPF the reason of why he should be banned forever from RPF. 1) He changed xat password. 2) He ran off to MFW. 3) He showed one of the worst leadership moves ever, retreating. 100% of the RPF chat voted on “Yes”. Fiasco, you are now officially fired from RPF permenatly. Have a nice life.

Karakoran: Approved

The Mysterious Freedom Warriors have 2 servers that belong to the old U.S.R.P.F. (Yeti and Walrus). I want to put back everything that the past leaders lost, and glue it back on our nation page. So MFW, we are at war until you give us Yeti and Walrus. We will be invading their capital tommorrow, Icicle. This is a very important battle, so if you think you deserve a promotion I recommend attending the invasion. If MFW bring allies, that means we can bring our allies.. I don’t think we want ACP to be involved in this, right?

UMA & RPF Conflict

UMA wanted to take over Tuxedo on Thursday, but Crazyboy86 cancelled it because he is a good friend of mine and why in the world would they want to take over Tuxedo? Just a reminder for you UMA’ians, ACP and RPF share Tuxedo ever since Oberst533 and Boomer20 were RPF leaders. Taken off the ACP site,

I have been watching the Nacho site for weeks now and have not been able to find a single post of much relevance to the army.  Between Jayson not posting at all and Aka’s posts of some random video and message saying “Comment” the Nachos have fallen a great deal.  Not to mention the hostility Aka in particular has shown ACP in the past.  Some of us think it’s time for a change.

Aka and Jayson have been in armies longer than most of our penguins have even existed.  There is no denying what they have accomplished, but at the same time, it has become apparent neither care enough anymore to be effective leaders of the Nachos.  For this reason, Icey and I have been called in to dispose of them.

ACP and IW will be declaring unrelenting war on the Nachos until Aka and Jayson are out of power.  The first such event will take place this Wednesday.  ACP and IW will invade two separate servers simultaneously, taking out Shiver and White House.  Pack your bags soldiers, we’re off to war.

Yeah, RPF is doing actually really good. Sergie & Josh decided to unite as brothers and take control over the RPF and it’s survivors. The RPF needs recruits, so go ahead and join at the “Join” page right now.. seriously.. The RPF has been a major army, look at us now, just another small army getting stepped on by other armies such as the allmighty ACP. Even though I believe that Commando717 was our source of activeness due to his humor and awesome leadership. *Sigh*, yes we all miss the old days when you would get insulted by Commando717 and then have a big laugh. We can all do that though, we just need “everyone” to help us rebuild. Everyone is allowed to join, except Oagalthorp. I got basketball practice so I won’t be online on chats from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.. that’s PST. I would also like people to start working harder, and recruit as much as you can. I know recruiting is a boring thing.. seriously.. We all hate CP, but I don’t want RPF to go out like that. We just all need to unite.. Cooperation is our key right now. I am scheduling a Recruitment Session, hopefully more than 3 people can show up; -.-

So I thought I’d start off by sharing some (5 to be exact) of the total time suck blogs currently in my life.  These are the reasons I stay up too late, don’t get as much work done as I want and how I end up staring at a computer for 15 hours everyday.  Since they suck time from my life, I thought I’d share them with you, so they can suck time from your life as well.

A few are funny, a couple are relevant to our culture, some are relevant to marketing and advertising and others are just blogs that I can’t stop looking at, no matter how hard I try. Let time stand still:

Het is ons altijd aangeleerd om niet te lachen met andermans ongeluk, maar voor een keer zien we het door de vingers. FAIL blog is één van de meest hilarische blogs op het internet. Het mag dan ook niet verbazen dat de site de Webby Award 2009 ontving voor people’s voice in Humor and Weird. En dat voor een site die nog geen twee jaar geleden werd opgemaakt. Leechio, de bedenker van het concept, heeft goed begrepen dat de één zijn ongeluk de ander zijn geluk kan betekenen.

I have re-discovered my favorite site on the internet– Stuff White People Like. What is beautiful about this site is it’s simplicity– It’s short, well written and cleaver.  These types of sites seem to have exploded all over the internet in recent years. Earlier this year Ben Huh did an interview with Mixergy.com and shared some insight into how he built a network of these sites anchored by I Can has Cheezburger and Fail Blog that generated 218 million page views in September alone.

In terms of content and community management he has it dialed down to a science:

• Site visitors are lazy! – There are TONS of alternatives for your customers so following the KiSS model (Keep it Simple, Stupid) minimizes their opportunities to get distracted.

• Content + more content – You don’t want to shut visitors out that want to spend more time. If you’re following KiSS content generation should be easy and you can pass it off to users. In the case of I Can Has Cheezburger there is no shortage of cat pictures and stupid captions to put under them.

• Quality Content= Value – Think of these sites like fast food restaurants. Items on the dollar menu are cheap and easy to make and a $1 double cheeseburger seem like a great value.

• Get innovated once you have their trust – I got in the habit of reading Texts From Last Night every morning while eating breakfast. Then they released the Iphone app – Texts From Last Night meet another morning routine

Anyone thinking of investing time or money into one of these sites has one big question: What happens when the fad passes? Huh points out that allowing the community to guide the content will ensure that visitors keep coming back. Even if/when one of these sites runs its life cycle all that’s lost is the design and software developed for the site. Computers and humans can be reassigned to other projects that generate other KiSS sites….
