I watched the series finale of Jon and Kate Plus Eight. I used to love that show, until all this drama started going on between the two of them. I don’t care what people say about Kate, she is there for her family. Watching what she says vs what Jon says, you really just can’t feel bad for him. He was bitching about how getting married so young and having so many kids so young took up his life, and he didn’t have a chance to enjoy his twenties. Well, I sorry, but last I checked, you willingly signed up for all of it. You asked Kate to marry you, you both went to get fertility treatments to get the twins, and them proceeded to use fertility treatments again to get the sextuplets. None of those events that ’caused you to miss out on your twenties’ were unavoidable. You signed up for/worked to get where you were. I think that after several years and eight kids, it is a little too late for you to revert back to your early twenties.

People can say what they want to about Kate, but seriously, how would you act if you were trying to take care of eight kids and one douche of a husband? I just feel so bad for those kids.

Today is not a good day for science… WordPress failed during the “twitter fail” post.

So my ignorant father is apparently pissed and trying to get out of paying for everything. As if I haven’t accepted responsibility for my actions with school, but because he has some wife he is responsible for (not that I don’t like Aimee, but…) I may have to stop going to school. It is evident now more than ever that I need to seek out scholarships. Please Lord help me!

Well, Rick and Aimee, if you someday read this, this is what I have to say:

I screwed up. I overestimated my ability in school and failed. This is not to say that I am not smart. I have 12+ years of academic excellence to prove that this is a one time mistake.

I am not like others. I was stupid last year. Stupid, cocky, and underachieving. I thought I could coast through my education. But this experience has taught me how to grow into an academically adequate person, and I full-heartedly believe in myself. Yes, I hid my grades and I lied. But I was scared, and going through and identity crisis. I have always been the brainy, intelligent one that wanted to learn.Suddenly, I was the one who failed out of college. College is all I have ever wanted to do with my life thus far. And I failed. That was an emotional, self-loathing roller coaster that terrified me, yet also forced me to grow up. I am ready to return to NIU a better, older, more improved Rikki.

The important thing now is that I have taken steps that will lead me back to NIU and I can start fresh with a new slate, 4.0 GPA, and I can make things happen for myself.

Dad, if you get out of paying and I do not get to go to school as a result, I hope you know that we will be done. FOREVER. I understand the consequences of my actions but I will get my college degree, even if your bull-headed stubbornness slows me down. I am better than you in so many ways, and this is one of them. I may have screwed up, but part of being an adult is accepting responsibility. This is what I am doing.

More than once you have treated me like dirt, you have put me on the back burner. I have come to learn that I don’t need you in my life, as much as I may want you there. If you push me hard enough, you will lose a daughter.

In closing, and this goes to everyone, do not let things stop you from getting what you want, even if that thing is yourself. I made one of the biggest mistakes that I will regret for the rest of my life. But I also know that I have grown as a person, and I know that if I didn’t keep working my way through school, I would learn to hate myself. Even if it’s your own flesh and blood looking down on you as a disappointment, you can find better family out there that will believe in you, share your strife with you, and pull you up when you are so far down you can’t even recognize yourself. This person is my mother, the strongest, most amazing woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Everyone, please pray for my mom tomorrow as she goes to battle my father in court. We desperately need some financial stability as far as school is concerned, and the little bit from my Dad would be a God send. Please please pray. I know I screwed up and hardly deserve it, but I still ask for forgiveness and reassurance that me and my beautiful mom can breathe a little bit and focus on other things than my Dad’s vengeful trial. What a looooooooooser.

Dad, I hope you enjoy your life with Aimee. She’s going to be the only family you have left when it’s all over.

Dass der “öffentliche Raum” zunehmend von akustischem Müll penetriert wird, ist unleugbar, und dass sich genügend Menschen “Stille” oder “Ruhezonen” wünschen, ebenfalls.

Die Art und Weise jedoch, wie das Akustische Manifest formuliert ist, ist nichts anderes als dümmste populistische geistige Scheißerei (man sagt auch Durchfall), die sich als intelligent oder elegant formuliert ausgibt, und doch nur Gemeinplätze, Verallgemeinerungen, Binsenweisheiten und schlicht Blödheit zu bieten hat.

Damit sabotiert sich das Unternehmen selbst: das an und für sich lobens- und unterstützenswerte Vorhaben, “akustische Menschenrechtsverletzung” als solche zu zeigen, an den Pranger zu stellen und die Forderung des Akustischen Manifestes nach Stille als Menschenrecht werden durch die dümmliche Formulierung des Manifestes ad absurdum geführt. Ohne irgend eine Form von Differenzierung wird dort nur auf gut österreichisch herumgesudert, geseihert und gelabert, ohne Ziel, Plan oder gar konkreten Vorschlägen.

Da hat man sich in Linz wohl verhört.

In einem Interview gab der  Nintendo of Americas Präsident zu das er das Line-Up für die Wii als äußerst deprimierend empfinden würde und er sehr enttäuscht ist das niemand anspruchsvolle Spiele für die Wii entwicklen würde .

Herein below is an email to Twitter regarding their engaging in censorship to protect California Attorney General Jerry Brown, Oakland City Attorney John Russo and Alameda County D.A. Tom Orloff’s corruption in an ongoing case reported to the U. S. Attorney General, Department of Justice.

On October 17, and 21, 2009  I sent emails to Twitter complaining about a “suspension” of my account (@nowtruth) for allegedly replying to tweets sent to me and “suspicious activity”!
I have not received any response to my rejection of the claims and contesting of the “suspension”. The idea that someone can have their account suspended for replying to tweets sent to them is preposterous!!! Isn’t that the process? Further, there were @mentions, not replys, for which your system does not seem to be able to distinguish the difference!!
However, when someone tweets you, you can and should reply with a meaningful response. ALL of the @mentions/replies/responses were to related items or news of a related nature to the attention of those mentioned, not anyone else. So there is no spamming issue. What’s the offense?
There is NOTHING suspicious about this action! Were you contacted with a report of reply spam? Our tweets are all you need to establish their validity. The tweet was regarding the corruption on behalf of California Attorney General Jerry Brown, Oakland City Attorney John Russo and Alameda County D.A. Tom Orloff in an ongoing case reported to the U. S. Attorney General, Department of Justice. We have received several @mentions from people sympathetic to those parties had have tried tirelessly to silence this case and the information about it from getting out to the masses in an effort to protect them. The specific tweet in question was displaying an email from John Russo threatening a KPFA reporter, Gabrielle Wilson, if she proceeded with a radio broadcast of a show with Brown, Russo and the plaintiff in the case.

During the week of August 23, 2009 Miss Wilson received a phone call from Evan Westrep from Brown’s office. He left a voice mail message for her at radio station KPFA stating he would pass her interview request along to Brown’s schedulers.

During that same week, Miss Wilson received emails and phone calls from Oakland City Attorney Russo’s press director Alex Katz. One email Katz sent to her and Sasha Lilley, interim Program Director at KPFA, with a cc: to Mark Moromodi, Supervising Deputy for the Oakland City Attorney, proclaiming that City Attorney John Russo was not involved in the case, yet he wanted her to answer questions as to why she wanted to provide a forum for the plaintiff, al-Hakim whom he alleged had posted threatening videos about John Russo. Heres an copy of that email that was a twitpic sent to our followers:

Katz followed up that email with a voicemail message he left for Miss Wilson after the close of business just hours before the scheduled broadcast was to occur threatening her and warned Miss Wilson not to broadcast the interview and demanded she speak with him before she aired the scheduled program. He did this though he wanted Miss Wilson and KPFA to believe that John Russo and the City Attorney’s office was not involved in the case and had nothing to hide! Luis Medina, a manager in the music director’s office at KPFA then calls Miss Wilson just hours prior to the scheduled broadcast and leaves a voicemail message warning her that it was very important for the broadcast not to occur. He also stated that there might be very serious repercussions taken if she were to proceed as planned. She even received a phone call from the long-time regular show host, Emmitt Powell whom was contacted by the station in response to Russo’s effort to censor the show.
Miss Wilson proceeded to host the program all alone to comply with the City Attorney and KPFA’s censorship directive…without any of her invited guests. You can listen to that voicemail message here.

Russo proceeded to engage in censorship by forcing the cancellation of the show and trying to conceal it from the public. Russo and Brown claim that they are not involved in the case yet irrefutable evidence prove otherwise! If they are not involved and have nothing to hide, why censor the show? Those actions are public now as the reporter released a statement on their crimes of which this is merely another instance of. Now for you.
You aren’t engaging in censorship are you? Have you been contacted by any of these parties or their representatives, including Alex Katz, Joe Trippi, Jeremy D. Thompson, or anyone else regarding this alleged violation of Twitter policy? Is this a problem of your system not being able to differentiate between a reply and an @mention?
I certainly know that if you were investigating suspicious activity in this case, you need to take a look at the actions of those that got you to comply with their desire to censor this case and their continuing crimes for which Twitter founder Evan Williams, co-founder Biz Stone, and Twitter are now involved. We will not stop our civil and criminal investigation in this matter as we proceed, it only widens and deepens in it’s breadth and depth.
There’s nothing even remotely suspicious about our tweets, we will not be censored, and we are continuing to investigate yours and their suspicious activity and to prosecute those involved in these continuing crimes. Anything you need to further investigate feel free to call.

Have you heard the saying “life comes at you fast”? Usually that statement refers to some unexpected event or tradegy in ones life. Unfortunately, that is the way life is, unpredictable. The scriptures point out this fact, and warn that we should be prepared for the unexpected. The rich man thought since he had barns full of goods he would just relax, but life came at him fast, and he died. He failed to include God in his plans which was a fatal mistake. The five foolish virgins planned on going to a wedding, but life came at them fast when the bridegroom was delayed. They had not prepared by taking extra oil. Those who were prepared for a delay were taken into the wedding, and the door closed while the foolish were away buying oil.

Life, death, the judgement, are all things the bible says we need to take seriously, because their arrival can, and most likely will, be sudden. If they come at you fast will you be prepared or out buying oil?

So i figured I’d post a double whammy tonight. Aside from the problems I see in the health care bill as well as the other 58% of America who are opposed to it. I find the more i comb through the news that one thing has been absent since Friday of last week and that is everyone has conveniently forgotten that our unemployment rate has shot up to the dreaded 10.2% mark. For those of you who grew up in the 90’s ; i was born in 1982 and in 1983 the US was going through a pretty bad recession then, I was only 1 and although i do not remember it I often reflect on what my parents had to endure during that time when we moved from Indiana to Arkansas.

Yea the news sucks and no one wants to continue to sulk over it but it’s not something that we can just ignore. This issue is that big purple elephant in the corner that everyone pretends isn’t there. Anyways, back on point, the more you hear about the health care reform going on in this country you hear less and less about an even bigger issue, unemployment. Now 10.2% is the number that are currently out of work but this number does not reflect those who quit looking or recently got laid off.

Our representatives are doing nothing to fix this and haven’t since it slowly began its ascension to the rate its at now. While people continue to lose jobs and their homes as a result of their job loss we are worried about passing a 1.030 Trillion dollar health care bill. While much of the stimulus money still sits unused.

Obama to be quoted: “The Stimulus Package has saved or created 650,000 jobs”

Real numbers being released every month show a steady loss of jobs between 300,000-500,000 jobs. The package was said to have stopped it from climbing over 8% ..and as you can see it failed in doing so. Auto Industries that failed to run their companies efficiently and hence asked for a bailout, banks who lent money to people who couldn’t pay it back went under and asked for a bailout too.

As it stands right now over 8.3 MILLION people have lost their jobs in the Unemployment report by the Department of Labor – Economic Report for October 2009. Kind of makes that supposedly 650,000 seem like a drop in the bucket. Essentially the government got a blank check from the American people and are now trying to spend their way to recovery while people day in and day out lose their livelihoods, their homes, and everything they have worked their entire life for? So my question is this Congress, when are you going to quit playing with the American peoples hard earned money and actually get us out of this mess, or will we have to find a group who will?

Life is weird.  My grades are soaring for once and I’m not sure how.  Two electives I’m doing great in, and I never thought I could do so well in one of my in-major classes this semester.  I was actually so freaked out about taking it, certain I would do horribly.  Now here I am, one of the few in the class who has all A’s on the three major assignments so far.

I also finally got a distraction from my shattered heart, but it came in the form of a “conduct referral” from my university.  It really threw me.

Hey guys I’m smoking again!  (i suck, i know)

The part that really got me was when I found out it was being mailed to my parents’ house.  I was already semi-drunk when I realized I’d better call them.  While they of course won’t open it, they are now wondering what exactly is going on.  I hate worrying my parents so much.  Plus it always seems like I am the problem child.

The referral is far too atrocious to let them see.  Also they know me as the crazy/wild child, so I am assuming they might think that I’m lying about it.   I am planning on getting out of it or getting revenge (okay i know that doesn’t work).  The entire write-up is false besides when he states that I called him a “douchebag.”  Anyway, by next week at this time it will all be over.

And months ago I said by December I would be fully off of the ciggies, so I technically haven’t failed yet (and yeah the date falls with the new smoking laws).

On the other side I had an incredibly good weekend and met a really nice guy.  He added me on facebook and messaged me a few days later.  He’s one of the most hilarious people I know and I’m certain if he hadn’t come, with me, C, E, and her latest guy she wanted (jerk of course and she ended up in tears), to this party on Saturday night I wouldn’t have had much fun.  So there still are some decent, non-jerks out there.

A careless Russian forklift driver was backing up his vehicle, and he must not have been paying attention, because next thing that happened was boxes of wine and vodka crashing down on him. He actually had destroyed almost all the warehouse’s contents in one go! Over $189, 000 worth of vodka and cognac crashed to the floor as the forklift hit the shelves. Despite this major accident, no one was seriously hurt. Here’s the footage of the accident…

A firm, the Ryugyong Hotel Investment and Management Co., was established to attract a hoped-for US$230 million in foreign investment. A representative for the North Korean government promised relaxed oversight, saying, "The foreign investors can even operate casinos, nightclubs or Japanese lounges if they want to."

Construction gone bad…

Though the basic structure was complete when construction came to a halt in 1992, the building shell sat vacant and without windows, fixtures, or fittings for 16 years. A rusting construction crane at the top assumed the role of a permanent fixture.

Even though the hotel still dominates the Pyongyang skyline, it has proven difficult to obtain information about the hotel or its future from North Korean sources. The problems associated with the hotel led some media sources to dub it "The Worst Building in the World", "Hotel of Doom" and "Phantom Hotel".[11]
