It’s difficult to let go of the glitz, I’m already longing for even the most kitsch and garish of yuletide trinkets. I remember clinging on to Christmas cards gift wrap and tags and even quality street wrappers well into January as a child. Just heart-wrenching isn’t it?

Fortunately last night, among the dull bric-a-brac that remains in the now plain room, I spotted one of my presents, a shimmering bottle of W7 Limited Edition Crackle nail polish in the enticing shade of earthquake Gold.

I started with a coat of Barry M Nail Paint in Navy, a deep midnight blue with a gentle sheen, these polishes are fantastic, they glide on like a dream and stay put. The range of shades is amazing too- 54 different colours!

Just 1 Coat is Needed

When this coat was completely dry, it was time to put the crackle to the test.

W7 isn’t a brand I have heard a lot about, but I will definitely be finding out more, the thick, smooth polish applied easily thanks to the brush, a generous fan of strong, soft bristles.

I’ve used crackle polishes before but it’s still spellbinding to watch the polish shatter before your eyes, amazing results can be  achieved much quicker than when using magnetised polishes, this polish dries more rapidly too. I’m a fan of Barry M’s Nail Effects Paints but they can be difficult to work with, I found the black paint in particular to be very sticky.
