<p>(Campania, Italy) From <em>Wikipedia</em>: <strong>Falanghina</strong>, also called <strong>Falanghina Greco</strong>, is a variety of wine grape of <em>Vitis vinifera</em>, used for white wines. It is considered a characterful ancient grape variety which may have provided a basis for the classical Falernian wine. It is cultivated on the coast of Campania north of Naples, and frequently consumed in southern Italy along with seafood. <p>(Campania, Italy) Founded back in 1770 [the estate] has been brought to new life by Pasquale Clemente, the current owner. During the groundbreaking for the restoration of the ancient building, it has been discovered a wonderful samnitic necropolis, whose finds are now exhibited at the Archeologic Museum of Montesarchio. 10 Ha of old vineyards. The vineyards are 70% Falanghina and 30% Aglianico, plus 1 ha of Fiano, 0.50 ha of Greco and 0.50 ha of Coda di Volpe. All the vineyards are planted at about 300 meters on volcanic soils with significative presence of limestone. Most of the vineyards are about thirty years old.
