Moving my blog from blogspot to here at WordPress! (: I’ve used wordpress on many of my domains, now I’m just using it freely.

I did this about a half an hour ago. I found a bunch of awesome photos from foto decadent that I just had to mix together and texturize. I like the turn out at the bottom but the top is too bright and unfocused/not sharp. I still love it though and the boy/girl concept I was trying to percieve in the picture turned out pretty good. (:

I’m getting new hair. Finally. I have seriously had this weird mixture of “buttered toast blonde” and then my natural dirty blonde roots coming in from the top (massively, trust me). Here’s what I definitely dream on getting:

But I know that will definitely cost too much and I want to have something more natural (I know what has happened to Maddi? o__o). So I am settling on this:

Aside from wanting this hair color/style (but I just got straight-cut bangs so fail -,-) I also want that girls outfit. The high-waisted shorts and crop sweater/top. I love it! I also love the high-waisted shorts with the boyfriend-tee and some leather jacket. It always looks stunning.

I am breaking out like crazy and it’s not anything good to my already-low-self-esteem. Thanks, a lot whoever made me and made up puberty. BULLSHIT.

The original Family Guy Star Wars spoof was certainly well made, had some great inside jokes for both fans of the popular cartoon show and the beloved sci-fi flick. Immediately after the first, there was buzz about when or if a second was going to be made and sure enough a trailer has been released (a long time in the making!).

Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Dark Side será lançado em DVD, Blu-ray e no iTunes no dia 22 de dezembro nos EUA. Como fiz quando foi lançada a primeria paródia, assim que o episódio sair na net conto para vocês todos os detalhes desse episódio especial.

The full length trailer for Family Guy’s Empire Strikes Back parody Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Dark Side premieres today on iTunes and YouTube. Interestingly, the trailer is shot for shot remake of the original trailer from the 1980 classic The Empire Strikes Back. Here’s hoping it has a few more jokes than the first offering- movie references will only get you so far.

The saga continues as Luke (Chris), Leia (Lois), Han Solo (Peter) and Chewbacca (Brian) have evaded the dreaded Imperial Starfleet led by the cunning, conniving and curiously short evil lord Darth Vader (Stewie), setting up a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. The second edition of the Family Guy Star Wars saga has come upon us. The trailer has released today and it appears to be just as up to par as ‘Blue Harvest.’ Great Star Wars references mixed with classic Family Guy comedy come together to bring you entertainment.

Ausschnitte aus der fantastischen Dokumentation “Music for the Movies: The Hollywood Sound”. Hier wird besonderes Augenmerk auf die Zeit des sogenannten “Golden Age of Hollywood Music” gelegt, also der klassischen Filmmusik der 1930er und -40er Jahre. Übrigens gibt es auf der Goldsmith Doku DVD noch ein schönes Special Feature: Goldsmith bei den Recording Sessions zum Film “The River Wild”. Da bekommt man einen sehr schönen Insiderblick, wie es bei solchen Aufnahmessions so zugeht:

Diese Dokus sollten als Pflichtprogramm für alle angehenden Filmkomponisten gelten! Und zwar nicht nur, aber auch , um sie daran zu erinnern, dass Filmmusik eben aus mehr besteht, als aus Hans Zimmer und Konsorten!

Selbst Family Guy, wo es ja ständig musikalische Zitate gibt, kennt sich aus mit dem “Golden Age” und zollt Tribut. Kleine Aufgabe: welche Original-Filmmusik wird verwendet (ab 0:37) und von wem stammt diese?

Definitely the highlights of this volume are the extraordinary Stewie Kills Lois/Lois Kills Stewie episodes. I remember watching “Stewie Kills Lois” when it first aired and I was blown away (well not as blown away as Lois) and I couldn’t wait for the conclusion after the courtroom cliffhanger. They were the debut of the season seven, factual? (I can’t hold track of which season is which on Family Guy anymore) . Did you ever wonder what would happen if the Griffins actually knew Stewie’s corrupt intentions? Well, you’ll accept out in these episodes without future episodes being jeopardized. Yes, things will return to “normal,” but, as Stewie says, he hopes you’ll appreciate the glide. I found it droll (and a miniature unique) that “Stewie Kills Lois” re-aired on Mother’s Day. I have the Target special edition of this volume which includes a frigid mini poster featuring those episodes. This volume also includes the last we’ll peruse (I guess) of Brian’s short lived romance with Jillian. I wish that were not the case because she was hilarious! Anyway, here is what you rep with Volume Six:

Disc 1:

“No Meals On Wheels”–The Griffins begin up a restaurant. To boost the obscene turnout, Joe offers to develop “Grand Pete’s House of Munch” the fresh hangout for his buddies…but not his cop buddies. That “Cripple Tron” was beautiful monotonous.

“Boys Do Weep”–Lois tries out for the recent church organist (highlight: Herbert plays and sings “I Know What Boys Like”) and when she gets the job, she forces her family to go to church. When Stewie spits up the communion wine, he’s believed to be possessed by the devil, so the Griffins glide to a more tolerant fraction of the country…Texas. This was a fine one until Gilbert Gottfried ended it on a listless designate.

“No Chris Left Slack”–Chris is expelled from James Woods High School for being the dumbest student. He ends up at his grandfather Pewterschmidt’s alma mater Morningwood Academy, but is hazed for being terrible. Highlight: Stewie as King Friday. Oh, and am I the only one who hates that fighting chicken?

“It Takes a Village Idiot, and I Married One”–While vacationing at Quagmire’s cabin, the Griffins swim in a toxic lake. After an Amadeus parody (they determined grew relieve their hair speedily), Lois is outraged when Mayor West tells her he is allowing oil companies to dump extinguish in the lake. Lois decides to urge against him, but will she be objective as susceptible to corruption?

“Meet The Quagmires”–In this “Help to the Future” parody, Peter gets death to let him go wait on in time to 1984 so he can have fun during his bachelor years. When he turns down Lois for a date, he finds he has changed the future. Peter is now married to Molly Ringwald and Lois is Mrs. Glenn Quagmire! Highlight: Peter keeps going attend in time to fix his mistake and keeps making the same mistake (he makes Homer Simpson seem like a genius) .

Disc 2:

“Movin’ Out (Brian’s Song) “–Brian tries to demonstrate he’s serious about Jillian by challenging in with her. Meanwhile, Meg gets a job at a convenience store, but when she gets Chris a job, she ends up fired while Chris and the boss talk movies all day. I didn’t like the ending because I liked Jillian as Brian’s airheaded girlfriend.

“Possess It Or Not, Joe’s Walking On Air”–Ha! They got the title from “The Greatest American Hero.” Highlights: Fred Flintstone confesses something unpleasant about Betty to Barney Rubble, Dr. Hartman and Mr. Pewterschmidt’s protest comparison, frogs on vacation in Ethiopia. Out of guilt for holding Bonnie succor, Joe undergoes an experimental map to fetch his legs wait on, but ends up walking out on his friends and family (accept it? “walking out”) .

“Stewie Kills Lois”–Now for the highlight episodes of the season. Lois and Peter go on a fly without Stewie. Stewie is so inflamed he threatens ruthless revenge, but Brian doesn’t enjoy he really means it so he dares him to really go through with it. Stewie: “I did it! I killed her! She’s wearisome! Ha, Ha, Ha!… [falls]… Ow! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!…Oh yeah, that’s factual.” The cliffhanger to this episode is awesome!

“Lois Kills Stewie”–Stewie looks like he has finally taken over the world, but there is one last hurdle: the final showdown with Lois. I don’t remember seeing the “Never Will Be Missed” musical number during the TV airing.

“Padre De Familia”–After a Veteran’s Day parade, Peter becomes a rabid American patriot who goes on a campaign against all illegal aliens…until his mother gives him some repulsive news.

“Peter’s Daughter”–After Meg almost dies in a flash flood, Peter becomes overprotective, especially when she wants to date a young, fair doctor (why he would want to date Meg is never explained) . Meanwhile, Stewie and Brian fix up an faded house.

Disc 3:

“McStroke”–Peter joins the mustache lifestyle, which includes stepping in as a volunteer fireman and saving a man from a burning McBurgertown. Given a lifetime of free burgers, Peter eats so distinguished he suffers a stroke and decides to sue the restaurant. His case is aided by a talking cow he finds in “Dacow.” Included is a parody of those stagger scenes from “The Monkees.” Meanwhile, Stewie becomes the favorite high school student, Zack Sawyer, but doesn’t fare well at “Anal Point.”

Special Features–OK, one episode on a DVD seems like a gyp, but there are a lot of extras on this disc. They include, and are not diminutive to, “Family Guy 100th Episode Special,” “I’m Enormous (and the babes go wild) ” music video, “Family Guy Live-Just For Laughs,” and my common section of the bonus features: “Deleted Scenes” of which there are lots.

People who are complaining that they left episodes off this area have a somewhat pleasurable gripe. The thing is, the Family Guy series is sold in “volumes” as opposed to “seasons” like other shows (this was primarily done because of the short length of the first two seasons (volume 1 DVD) ) . The predicament is that this made the volumes be one number slack the seasons (volume 2 is season 3, volume 3 is season 4, etc) . Now it seems they have decided to keep a determined number of episodes in each status, regardless of the season they were on. Family Guy Volume 5 has most of season 5 (as according to the season episodes list on [...] except the final five episodes. The volume 6 state starts with those five episodes and goes into season six from there, which is why some season 6 episodes are missing. I suspect they may be doing this to bring the “volume numbers” to be the the same as the “season numbers” so there’s less confusion. I don’t know for definite. But I’m fairly confident that the missing episodes from this spot will be on Volume 7. Hope this helps people. While I don’t necessarily trust the people who do out the DVDs, I do absorb that Seth MacFarlane and the rest of the people slow the exhibit would not allow the fans to lose out, especially sinc the fans are the reason the reveal came wait on with unusual episodes (a fact that MacFarlane always mentions) .

Nachdem bereits mit Family Guy: Blue Harvest der erste Star Wars Film parodiert wurde, folgt Ende diesen Jahres die zweite Parodie der Family Guy Macher zu Star Wars. Mit dem Movie “Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side” setzt man nahtlos an Blue Harvest an und parodiert nun den Film “Das Imperium schlägt zurück” alias Star Wars Episode V.

Heute wurde ein erster offizieller Trailer veröffentlicht und zumindest in England soll der Film noch am 28.12.2009 als DVD, DVD Limited Edition und Blu-ray veröffentlicht werden. In Deutschland ist der Film aktuell für den 26. Februar 2010 angekündigt und wird bei uns wohl nur als DVD veröffentlicht. Doch nun viel Spaß mit dem ersten Trailer:

Does anyone else do this?

 I think I forget sometimes that television is fictional and not real life. Even if it’s a reality show a lot of the situations are scripted. I very often find myself watching TV and yelling at the screen.

 A recent example: I’m a Family Guy fanatic. I personally believe some of the best television is animated shows, but that’s for another blog. Well anyway on Sunday’s show we learned that Quagmire doesn’t like Brian.  HATES HIM!! I mean he can’t freakin’ stand him. Who knew? So the whole episode Brian is trying to win over Quagmire by engaging him conversation, surprising him and taking him out to dinner. Quagmire’s not impressed. Finally Brian just asks him, why does he hate him so much. Quagmire lays into him, watch below:

Brian is my favorite character, but Quagmire is right about him. He’s definitely flawed. My only issue is Quagmire you hate Brian for hitting on Lois all the time, aren’t you the one who slept with your best friend Cleveland’s wife Loretta. Are you really in a position to be judging anyone?

 I know this is TV, but that really irritated me. Like on General Hospital there is a character loosely based on Vogue editor Anna Wintour named Kate Howard. Kate grew up as Connie Falconeri  in the hoods of Bensonhurst, but escaped the ghetto, changed her name and identity to reflect a fictional uppercrust Connecticut upbringing. She became super rich and wildly successful. Fast forward to now, it turns out her cousin Olivia got pregnant as a teenager by mob boss Sonny Corinthos (swoon, ok sorry). Olivia never told Sonny or her son about each other.  Olivia and Sonny’s son is now an undercover cop who’s infiltrated Sonny’s  mob family in an attempt to bring down the father he never knew he had.

 Here’s what irritates me. Kate is the main one telling Olivia not to keep secrets and  to tell the truth. Chick, your whole life is based on a lie.  Your WHOLE life. Shut up who are you to tell someone not to keep secrets. I guess its okay for you to do it, but no one else. Get out of here.

 Then my favorite is Maury Povich and his paternity tests. People get on there and actually say “I’m 100% sure I’m not the baby’s father.” Did you use a condom? “No, but I’m 100% sure.” Ok idiot, if you slept with her without a condom there is a chance its your baby. It may be a small chance but its a chance.

The only thing worse than that to me is people who say I’m 1000% sure. How can you be 1000% sure. That’s not even possible.

 I know, I know I watch too much TV but really guys come on.

While on the planet Hoth and being chased by Darth Vader (Stewie Griffin), young Luke Skywalker (Chris Griffin) has a vision of his dead mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert), who tells him to go to the planet Dagobah and learn the ways of the Force from Jedi Master Yoda (Carl). Luke has a vision of the Empire capturing his friends. Believing this to be true, Luke forgoes his Jedi training in order to save his friends and confront Vader.

Elsewhere, Princess Leia (Lois Griffin) finds herself attracted to the scruffy pilot Han Solo (Peter Griffin) and, against all odds, the two fall in love.
