Peter Serafinowicz gets lucky.

Only time for a short one this week everyone. I’ve had internet problems so I haven’t had a chance to roam the wastes of the internet this week.

So time to dig something out of my youtube favorites list. If you haven’t heard the new Daft Punk song ‘Get Lucky’ go listen to it now.

Despite its success in the music charts, an official music video has yet to surface. UK comedian Peter Serafinowicz has made one in his own unique way.

Now I’m sure theres something more going on than ‘Its a slightly weird video of a 3 headed man signing a song’. Or maybe its just weird. After all, this was a guy who made a music video of footballers and a crowd engaging in man loving with PS2 graphics.

Easily one of the most memorable characters from the Star Wars Franchise, Yoda, has that charm in his front backwards jumbled remarks as he has the strengths of a great ( scarily agile and skilled ) warrior! Also, the least hypocritical zen/teacher character I’ve come across in life or in fiction!

Ever wondered how Natsu Dragneel would look as a female character? Well the image above illustrates how a female Natsu would looks awesome as well as strong. In usual Fairy Tail style, I’m sure that she’d be a massive fan service towards all the fans that would watch it, she’d also be really powerful, seeing as though she’s the female version of the great and powerful Natsu Dragneel. What would you call the female version?

The fantastic artwork above of a female Natsu Dragneel was drawn by Nicksor who did an amazing job of making it. He’s also got a good number of different types of art which I think you should definitely check out.

Although the previous days have been packed with me trying to get my ducks in a row, something did come to my attention recently. One of my fellow artists at the Hussman Center mentioned he was drawing the castle featured in Castle Aspergis.

He is an incredible artist, more so than I. I have seen his comic book art and remain consistently astonished.

Maybe I’ll put it up when he’s finished, with his permission of course!

Martin and recently started watching the televised version as well; really enjoying the story so far (have only reached episode 8!). I thought I would do a piece inspired by it! It was fun to practice with oils for a change and make stencils.

Fanart Friday - Adventure Time

For a long time when I struggled with art block I would draw fanart. When I became more ‘serious’ about art I would berate myself for that because I wasn’t doing ‘serious’ work. And so I wouldn’t draw anything.

This was obviously dumb.

I’m still working through that and trying to let myself draw more fanart, because a) I’m at least drawing SOMETHING and b) Drawing my favourite characters makes me happy.

So, I’m starting fanart Friday here! I’ll be posting one or two (maybe more!) fanart scribbles from…well anything really; every Friday.
