This movie was quite a good movie. It is about a chubby guy who was a very rude man until the very day he died and suddenly woke up in his operation. And because of that one mistake his whole life had turned up side down. He can then see ghosts. Ghosts who have a goal in life that they did not complete, So they come to him to seek his help but then he brutally turns them down. But after getting involved with one he then fell in love with the ghosts task. The ghost was a business man who had been two timing his wife. He then gets killed. She (his wife) then finds another man who was quite… umm… Odd. The ghosts goal is to  separate them and find her a better man also know as the chubby guy!

As a movie I would give this an 8/10 but as a script its a 9/10.

I enjoyed it. But was that enough?

~uh uh uh.. dikala saya mempunyai banyak perkara nak diceritakan, jadual begitu penuh sekali, dan kerja menimbun menunggu. Ohh.. saya nak tulis jugak, walaupun terpaksa berulang kali tutup dan buka skrin ni, bila ada orang datang ~terutamanya bila Project Manager saya datang! ehehehe…

Cuaca

Lewat kebelakangan ini, Malaysia dilanda hujan sepanjang hari, kan? Saya sangka hanya Pantai Timur sahaja, tapi hampir kesemua tempat pun melaporkan keadaan yang sama, jadi terpaksalah saya akui, Malaysia sekarang mengalami musim tengkujuh.

Yang sebenarnya, saya sangat suka hujan. Kecuali sewaktu hujan turun semasa saya mahu keluar rumah dan ingin menaiki pengangkutan awam, atau bila baju tak kering-kering di ampaian, atau ketika saya mahu naik terbang ke mana-mana, kecuali pada saat-saat itu, saya suka hujan!

Sejak dulu saya mempunyai habit suka memerhati rintik-rintik hujan dari anjung rumah, atau pun melalui tingkap yang terbuka luas. Saya suka bila angin serta basah air hujan tu terkena ke muka saya, menimbulkan rasa dingin dan nyaman sekali. Bila merenung pada hujan yang sedang turun, selalu membawa saya ke emosi yang pelbagai, kadang-kadang sayu, ada ketikanya sedih, di suatu ketika lain pula mungkin rasa aman, gembira dan macam-macam lagi lah.

Bila waktu hujan, suasana akan menjadi sejuk dan nyaman. Ramai orang suka duduk di rumah di waktu ini. Manarik selimut adalah sesuatu yang nikmat di kala suasana begini. Tetapi, menikmati secawan nescafe atau teh panas, sambil memerhati hujan yang masih turun, adalah sesuatu yang saya paling gemari.

Teringat sewaktu kecil dulu, pada waktu hujan begini, kami anak-anak kecillah yang paling gembira. Tak seperti sekarang, abah dan mak, atau ahli keluarga yang lain tak pernah marah kami mahu mandi hujan. Aktiviti ini selalunya diakhiri dengan kami beramai-ramai membuat empangan pada sungai kecil di dalam kampung. Air sungai yang mengalir, dicampur dengan air hujan yang turun, sekejap saja empangan sudah dipenuhi air. Sebelum empangan kecil tu pecah, semua orang akan terjun ke dalam empangan yang tak sampai pun paras lutut tu. Tapi itu pun dah cukup menggembirakan kami. Arwah tok pula, ketika waktu hujan ini, sangat suka menikmati secawan kopi panas. Kadang-kala, ada pula hidangan sampingan, ubi kayu rebus, dicicah dengan kelapa parut bersalut gula. Wah, sangat sedap!!

Tapi sekarang, saya sudah jarang menikmati hujan. Tak tahulah sama ada kerana saya yang terlalu sibuk, atau hujan sudah tidak memberikan kesan kepada emosi saya lagi. Tapi kalau mempunyai kesempatan itu, saya tidak akan melepaskan peluang menikmatinya. Errmm…

Sejak beberapa hari ini, officemate saya sangat suka meletakkan gambar-gambar dalam facebook. Tapi saya ada sedikit isu dengan perkara tersebut.

Isu yang pertama, saya tahu, ini agak kebudak-budakkan sedikit. Tapi ntah kenapa, saya rasa sedikit sakit hati bila, mereka buat album dan upload gambar-gambar yang diambil oleh saya. Sekarang saya sudah faham perasaan jurugambar-jurugambar profesional bila gambar mereka diambil dan digunakan oleh orang lain.

Walaupun saya bukanlah jurugambar profesional, tapi saya juga tak suka dibuat begitu. Terasa seperti gambar itu bukan hak saya lagi, bila saya lihat album gambar tersebut dalam profile mereka. Kalau itu hanya gambar si tukang upload, saya tak kisah sangat. Tapi kalau melibatkan gambar orang lain *termasuk saya, pemandangan dan angel yang pelik-pelik, saya terasa seperti itu karya si tukang upload tu pula. Memang sakit hati jugalah saya rasa. Kalau lah kamu semua tahu macam mana kalau saya ambil gambar orang, agaknya, kamu semua mungkin boleh faham perasaan saya..

Isu kedua, sudahlah upload gambar-gambar kepunyaan saya, di-upload sekali gambar saya, dan tag pula saya dengan gambar-gambar tersebut. Ini pun saya tak suka. Itu yang saya benci tentang facebook, kadang-kala saya semacam hilang kawalan ke atas hak peribadi saya. Saya paling kurang suka publish gambar sendiri di mana-mana laman milik saya. Kalaupun saya upload gambar saya sendiri, saya jarang tag gambar saya sendiri, kecuali kalau itu gambar beramai-ramai atau mempunyai kenangan tertentu. Tapi kalau gambar saya seorang, nak pula gambar itu saya sendiri yang ambil *boleh bayangkan macammana keadaannya, dan diambil tanpa apa-apa maksud, tolonglah! Saya memang tak suka mengglemerkan diri sendiri.

Jadi, apa yang saya boleh lakukan adalah, saya bersabar sahaja! Ahahaaa.. Iyalah, perkara-perkara macam ni susah juga nak cakap. Boleh menimbulkan salah faham yang lain pula. Cuma, selepas ini, saya takkan serahkan gambar-gambar yang saya ambil kepada orang lain, atau setidak-tidaknya, sebelum saya upload dulu gambar tersebut.

Dan kepada kawan-kawan yang lain, saya bukanlah begitu rigid. Saya sangat flexible sebenarnya. Beritahulah saya dahulu. Letaklah gambar-gambar yang elok sedikit seperti mana saya memlilih gambar anda semua. Dan kalau itu gambar memang milik anda, saya tak kisah sangat sebenarnya, itu karya anda. Kalau gambar saya buruk pun, saya pasrah saja. Ahahaa.. memang saya pun bukanlah cantik sangat, cuma comel je!

Kerja

Ha memang, kalau dapat membebel, macam dah tak boleh nak berhenti-henti.

Perasaan kucar-kacir yang saya rasa 5-6 bulan lepas, muncul lagi. Terasa diri tidak kompeten dengan orang lain, selalu terasa diri bekerja lebih lembab dari orang lain, selalu rasa lost, tapi masih lagi malas mahu memberikan fokus 150%, dan macam-macam lagilah. Aish.. apa nak jadi dengan saya nih. Ini bukan petanda yang baik!

Walaupun saya sibuk bagai nak rak, tapi saya pun hairan bin ajaib, macamana saya dengan senang hati boleh buat perkara-perkara lain pula ~seperti menulis blog ni. Satu sebabnya mungkin, saya pun dah tak dapat nak prioritize kerja saya. Semuanya ada label urgent. Dan kalau yang tak urgent itu pun, saya selalu je berasa cemas kalau-kalau akhirnya saya terlupa juga, kerana pada akhirnya, yang tiada label urgent itupun, akan menjadi urgent juga!

Ada seorang officemate baru di office saya ni, dia punya minat hampir yang sama dengan saya. Dan ada pula yang menambah-nambah cerita, Farah tu soulmate saya saya, sebab kami berdua sanggup bangun pukul 6.30 pagi untuk pergi berjoging bersama di KT hari tu. Ahahahaa.. macam tu pun boleh panggil soulmate ke? *Seri Nur Fasa, ini schoolmate anda!

I am totally broke today! *that’s the same words I said when I came back from Makassar, right? Actually, I am so broke this week. Right now in my wallet, I have money only enough to pay taxi rent from hotel to airport. Tomorrow I’ll be back to KL. Then next Monday, I’ll be here again! uh uh uh.. (O_o)

When people seing me flying here and there *actually KL-KT-KL, people might be thinking people like me got a lot of money. The truth is, not necessarily!! Sometime, we are poorer than people who look ordinary. Because when you are traveling, you most likely tend to spend more money than you should. *Especially people like me! So, even though you are out of budget, you always think like “alah.. it’s okay to spend more. It’s not that we always come to this place!!” Duuhhh.. it’s a WRONG WRONG WRONG way of thinking!!

*I am scolding myself! (-_-!!)

So now, I’m waiting for friend to pay their debt to me. One of them is from my housemates. One cannot pay because she still don’t get her salary yet. The other one, because I said she could bank in the money after she calculate electric and water bill and deduct from that. Then, I’m waiting the money from who I lend the money with. She will pay, it just that she don’t have money yet. So, I cannot ask about that right now, because for sure she feel worried and sad. ~sigh~

And the worst part is, I have a debt too. Not PTPTN one, nor card credit debt but the one I lend money from my officemate. Today, I went to Pasar Payang to buy something she asked me to buy. And there are a few other officemates too asked to buy things. I hate to say cannot, its like I refuse to help them. I can’t say I don’t have money, there will be a lot of questions follow after that. So I asked the money from her. Luckily, my officemate got money, and she without hesitate bank in the money. ~wheww, thank you!!~

Actually, it’s not that I don’t have money at all. One, I refuse to take it from that bank. That’s my saving *saving to Sydney as well.. ehehe.. The other one, I’m not sure how much I have in there. Use the account only to make online banking and pay the astro bill or top up hp creadit.

This morning, Farah and I jogged along the beach, even though the weather quite windy and I had an early session this morning. Look how windy it was..

But when I went back to hotel, I got dizziness. I still hurry to the hospital, as my boss already waited me there. Luckily, he had session with dental to discuss about charting, something that is not related to me. So I just skip from the session, and wait my user out side the room. Suddenly, I got stomach ache. It’s a weird thing happened to me. Keep thinking why I got stomach ache. So I just took a nap in the pantry. Luckily after 30 minutes.. or more.. ~uh uh (-_-!!)~ the pain disappeared.

When back after work from hospital, Farah and I went to Pasar Payang, we went to Pasar Payang..

Then, we went back to hotel. At 6.30pm, we went out again with my boss to send him to airport. Before that, we had dinner ‘fish and seafood celup tepung’ again..

On the way back from airport, we went to Mydin again *we went to this place almost everyday. Farah wanted to buy an umbrella. Terengganu already start raining all day, everyday!!

Oklah, I’m tired already. Tomorrow morning, I have to wake up early, pakcik taxi will wait for me in the loby at 7am. And I’ll make sure, I take much more photo, like the ‘Collapsed of Sultan Mizan Stadium’, the airport, etc.

Ni saje nak update sikit, sebab tiba-tiba terfikir pulak pasal benda ni.

Saya selalu jadi ’silence reader’ dekat blog orang lain. Bukan apa, selain dari tak mahu jadi penyebuk dan memberi komen yang tidak perlu, saya selalu experience orang macam tak suka je kehadiran saya. Saya selalu je kena, komen saya seakan invisible, sedangkan blogger tu layan je komen orang lain. Ada tu plak, tiba-tiba terus saya dah tak boleh access blog dia. *atau blog engine ada problem?

Kadang-kadang, rasa macam nak kecik hati je. Tapi kemudian saya fikir, takpelah kalau orang tak suka. Ahahaha.. macam bila minat kat orang pulak caranya.

Itu tak ngeri lagi. Saya ada pengalaman yang lagi ngeri. Saya rasa mesti ramai yang pernah experience. Bila kita jadi too open tentang diri dan pendapat kita, ada plak makhluk yang tak dikenali dok marah-marah dan kutk kita. Bukan saja saya kena, saya pernah lihat blog-blog lain pun kena. Kadang-kadang tu saya rasa blogger tu tak ada buat salah apa pun, tiba-tiba ja ada orang tak suka dan beria-ria kutuk blogger tu. Kesian..!! Kalau pun blogger tu salah, atau pendapat tak masuk, tak payah la mengutuk tak tentu pasal. Cakap lah elok-elok, kan? Atau memang jenis suka cari pasal kot.

Oklah.. saya masih di KT. Hari kurang produktif. Aktiviti jogging cancel, pegi kerja lambat, user tunggu lama *kesian user.. maaf, saya tertinggal laptop kat hotel, terpaksa patah balik! dan macam-macam lagi. Tapi Alhamduillah, semuanya ok. Tapi ada sekali tu, ada seorang user ni tiba-tiba je macam nak mengamuk-ngamuk pula pasal system. Erk.. nasib baik tiba-tiba dia tak jadi nak buat session pula. Tapi esok-esok dia akan datang juga.. huhuhuu.. (-_-!!) Tapi tak apalah, bos saya ada!!

Session hari ni habis lambat. Kesian Farah sebab asyik menunggu saya saja. Jadi dia balik awal, dan bila saya siap, terus dia pick saya di hospital, dan kami bergerak ke Pasar Payang. Huhuhu.. sangat gigih!! Tapi sayang, mission still not accomplish! Yang dicari tidak ditemui, apatah lagi Pasar Payang tutup awal. Tapi kemudian kami makan durian di depan Pasar Payang.

Kemudian, kami jalan-jalan tepi pantai, dekat Masjid Terapung. Hari ini angin bertiup kencang, menandakan musim tengkujuh sudah bermula. Itulah, ntah siapa asyik tanya pada saya, Terengganu hujan tak.. it’s cursing!! Kan sekarang dah hujan. ahahaha.. takde lah, saya main-main saja! Kemudian ambil gambar masjid dari dalam kereta saja sebab hujan sudah mula turun. Kemudian makan di Restoran Tatai, berhampiran Pantai Batu Burok. Saya order char kuew teow. Ok, saya suka rasanya. Tapi Farah order mee udang, dan rasanya tak sedap. Kesian Farah. Terus jadi tertekan.

Where to begin..? Should I begin the last week story (which I already forgot why I was so eager to update)? Or this weekend story..? Or Yesterday story.. which was quite interesting! Or today story.. which is quite pac!

Last week story.. I cannot remember anymore. So let proceed to the weekend story.

Weekend Story

On Saturday, I went to kenduri of staff in my office. It was a tea lady’s daughter wedding. I promised to meet up Kak Mas somewhere at LRT station. So we met up at University’s LRT station. To be short, a few other office mates and ex-office mate went to the wedding. Nothing much to tell since it was not my friend’s wedding.

Later, Kak Mas sent me to Amcorp Mall, because my housemates were there. Then, we went to Alamanda, shopping for Permata Hijrah thing. I already went to Alamanda a day before, and bought liquid therapy for my eyes. It had been said could repair eye sight problem. I’m not sure about that yet, but it definitely can make your eyes clearer. One more thing, lately I got sinus quite badly, always felt a little bit itchiness on my eyes so I tend to rub them. Because of that, my eyes got red. So when I put this liquid into my eyes, although it quite smarting, it decreasing the redness.

But, before we went to Permata Hijrah booth, we went to Carefour.. and guess what I saw..

OMG.. I became crazy and see what I got for myself..

After that, we went to Setiawangsa Jusco for solat Maghrib and shopping. Then we went dinner at Sakura Kristal Kafe, inside Jusco. The food was just okay for me.. may be because I ordered something gravy and not spicy, which made me a little bit nausea.

On Sunday, we went jogging at Keramat Recreation Centre, across Jelatek LRT station. When I just about to warm up the body, got a call from Faiz. She just arrived at Sydney, still in the airport, waiting for her friend to pick her up. Thanks Faiz for calling!

After having joging and using all the gym stuff for about 1 hour or more.. then we went to NZ for the breakfast. Unfortunately, we got a little accident on the way back to home. Somehow, Atirah bumped into the road border. I was so pity with her, so I lend her money for changing the tyre. *the tyre totally broke!

We went to having cendol and eating rojak after that.

Monday – Journey to Kuala Terengganu

I went to Kuala Terengganu yesterday with Farah, Domain Team for LIS system *don’t ask much about that system, overall it’s about Lab system. and her 2-weeks proton saga, called Mr. Brown *named after her color. We are traveling about 8 hours, insaf after we got stopped by police roadblock. It was a confusing moment for me *because I never be in a car where had been stopped by police before, and it was a scaring moment for Farah. *But Farah did claim I was scared too.. which at this point aku sengih jelah..

Actually, Farah drove 100km/hr, but the limit is 90km/hr. Farah didn’t realize about the limit, because highway limit is usually 110km/hr. When police stopped us at Bentong, it really confused me, because I did think that Farah didn’t drive fast, until I asked the police..

“Encik.. kitorang kena saman ke?”

Luckily the police just let us go. Thank God for that, but I suspected because we were women, and our face look pale too!

When we arrived at Kemaman, we off the main road to Kuala Kemaman, just because Farah eager to find Hai Peng Kopitiam. Ok.. penat la cakap orang putih. Nak cakap melayu la plak. Saya macam pelik je Farah ni sebab dia boleh je off the road without knowing exactly where to go. Pening saya! Kot adventure pun, kena la ada based, kan! So.. luckily saya kenal seorang kawan bernama Encik Ilmami kan, jadi saya pun calling-calling la dengan beliau. Sampai ke Kuala Kemaman kami sesat, betul-betul dekat tempat orang turunkan ikan. Aduh! So patah balik.. dan kami pun berjaya lah tiba ke Hai Peng kopitiam dengan jayanya!

Lepas tu, kami bergerak terus ke KT, sebab dah lambat sangat. Tiba di hotel pukul 5.30. Check in, solat jamak, then off to pantai pulak, for walking along the beach, jagung bakar santan and A&W rootbeer float.

Balik hotel, solat jamak again, then off to airport Kuala Terengganu to pick up Bambang, the programmer from Jakarta.

Today Activity

This morning, we jogged along the beach. *ohh.. saya sungguh pancit. Tapi tak sempat ambil gambar. Esok saya akan ambil gambar. *boleh ke saya bangun ni, sampai sekarang belum tidur.

Kemudian, aktiviti dengan user berjalan lancar tanpa sebarang masalah.

Pulang dari hospital, Farah, Bambang dan saya bersiap ke Pulau Duyung, planning to catch pembuat bot yang terkenal. Tapi sebab dah lewat, kami terus mencari ikan (dan makanan laut) salut tepung. Oh sungguh sedap sehingga menjilat jari!

Pulang, singgah di Giant. Banyak betul barang yang Farah beli, tapi saya cuma beli sekotak air soya+jagung dan sebungkus mini bun. *Sebenarnya duit saya dah habis beli baju, seluar dan kasut sukan semalam, sebab nak keluar berjoging hari ni!

Oklah, sudah pukul 2.09 pagi. Saya perlu tidur, esok nak bangun pagi dan joging lagi!

An unattributed statement, “Who are Behind the Chaos in Afghanistan,” posted to the Taliban’s English-language web page (PDF version downloadable from non-terrorist site here) shows the Taliban are reading the papers AND happy to keep sharing rumours.

The statement starts off raising an intriguing point:  why did the West start out disarming non-government militias, only to start rebuilding tribal militias later?

After invasion in 2001, Americans announced the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reconstruction (DDR) program which was aimed at encouraging former warlords and gunmen to surrender their arms for cash incentives, employment opportunities and vocational training. After a time, they left the program uncompleted, and opted to raise their own militias under the name of Campaign and Security Guards. These so-called security guards escort American and other NATO member countries military and logistical convoys from one province to another, particularly to Urozgan, Helmand, Farah and other provinces in the south. Some militias are used to detain suspected Afghans.

And guess who do they point to as an example of this?

Recently, New York Times disclosed that following the American invasion of Afghanistan, Wali Karzai created the Kandahar Task Force which is involved in various human rights violations. According to the Times Weekly, Wali Karzai frequently used the Kandahar Task Force against his opponents and on one occasion, they killed police chief of Kandahar province. Similarly, Americans pay tens of millions of dollars to private militia annually for escorting their convoys.

The statement also points out an ethnic rift we don’t hear too much about in the media:

Applying The Sons of Iraq replica to Afghanistan, the invading Americans have created militia from among the Afghan minorities in the north of the country. Recently, they created such militia in Qazal Qila and appointed a Turkmen as commander. The Turkmen and Uzbek are ethnical minorities and their militias are notoriously known for human rights violations during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan.

There are several versions of the “it’s not us, it’s the West doing bad things” riff:

Mullah Brader Akhund, Deputy-Amir of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in one of his interviews said that Mujahideen had captured several groups of armed men who were involved in destroying schools and bridges. They admitted that they were paid by foreign intelligence agencies to do so.

Similarly, the bomb blasts in congested places, which have killed hundreds of innocent civilians, is of great concern to the Mujahideen and the Afghan people. This year in the holy month of Ramadan, a bomb went off in Kandahar just at the time when people were to break their fast. More than 50 people were killed in the explosion. The Islamic Emirate denied having hand in the explosion and condemned it as a horrendous and despicable event. (NOTE:  The Taliban has denied responsibility for the 25 Aug 09 blast before.)

The Afghan surrogate president Karzai complained in a press conference that unknown helicopters were airdropping armed men in the north. According to him, these armed men disturb peace and security there. But Mujahideen in the area say, the foreign invaders airdrop the militia there to target Mujahideen hide-outs during the night and they also attack ethnically sensitive areas in order to provoke racial fighting.

The statement closes with a “c’mon people, now, smile on your brother” statement saying the Taliban will rule with EVERYBODY in the tent:

The only solution is that the invaders leave Afghanistan and let the Afghans to form an Islamic government where people from all ethnicities can participate in the government making on the basis of their talent and services to the people.

All in all, an interesting conglomeration of previous messaging reinforced and pulling in current events to boost claims.

Closer nous révèle donc que le mari de Diam’s, Aziz, est déjà marié à Farah et papa d’une fillette de 4ans. Aziz serait bigame car, ses mariages avec Diam’s et Farah ne seraient que traditionnels. Quant à la fillette, elle vivrait la plupart du temps à Neuilly chez Diam’s, avec Aziz qui aurait simplement dit à la chanteuse qu’il avait une fillette…Mais, les photos de Match avaient mis la puce à l’oreille de Farah, la femme trompée. Elle venait  pourtant de fêter les 30 ans de son mari.

C’est ainsi qu’après une enquête minutieuse, aidée par des copines, elle déboula chez la rappeuse et fit un scandale retentissant. Diam’s demande alors des comptes à Aziz qui nie tout en bloc. La pauvre Farah, elle, vit en travaillant dans un centre pour ados défavorisés. Aziz, lui, serait un croqueur de diamants simplement, qui vivait au crochet de sa première femme et se délecte aujourd’hui de la fortune de sa deuxième dulcinée.

En réalité donc, Diam’s elle-même aurait été trompée par le manège du tombeur de ces dames, Aziz, et, il ne serait pas surprenant qu’un divorce arrive rapidement à moins que Diam’s ne soit raide dingue du bonhomme qui finalement ne profite que d’elle et serait prêt probablement à refaire la même chose une fois qu’il aura obtenu ce qu’il veut. C’est triste. Pourvu qu’elle se ressaisisse rapidement et vire ce garçon pas sérieux.

Mon Dieu quel échec dit. “Jeune demoiselle recherche un mec mortel”  ? Prémonitoire ? Ecoutez bien les paroles et, les deux dernières phrases. Drôle de ménage à trois.

Stardust is a great romance and action movie. It is about a man who makes a promise for his beloved woman and win her heart. In order to win her heart he goes across the wall of his land to bring a star for his beloved. But there is a turn around. The star is actually a woman. After their adventures together they meet a pirate in the sky who helps them see that their love for each other cannot be hidden as well as helping the man become more of a fighter than a coward.

But not only that the 3 wicked witches are on an adventure to capture the heart of the star for eternal life and beauty. They go through the far lands to try and capture her until the end but the girl is protected by the man. Who do not know it yet but love each other. It all falls in to place.

This is practically what it is about. It has comedy romance adventure and action. A great great movie. On average I would give this movie a 10/10 it is a great movie. I love it with all my heart. A perfect movie for teenagers and adults. This is still my favourite movies of all time after all the other movies who have come out after this one. For all the people with a thirst for romance, comedy and adventure this is movie is for you!

Il Times di Londra non molla, in ossequio alla sua tradizione (quella di uno dei giornali più prestigiosi ed indipendenti del mondo) pur di fronte alle smentite del governo italiano (che vi ha aggiunto una minaccia di querela), della Nato e dei diretti interessanti (i francesi); oggi il quotidiano britannico pubblica una seconda puntata (qui il link) alla sua denuncia di presunti pagamenti alla guerriglia effettuati dai servizi italiani per comprarsi un po’ di pace nelle aree di operazione delle nostre truppe.

Ieri l’articolo provava a smontare uno dei casi di maggior successo dell’Isaf in Afghanistan, quello di Sorobi (vedi la sintesi in un post di questo blog), affermando che in realtà la pace era stata comprata per giunta senza dirlo agli alleati, causando così indirettamente la strage dei parà francesi appena subentrati agli italiani nell’agosto del 2008.

Oggi, invece amplia il fenomeno estendendolo anche al Rc-West, in pratica all’area dove è concentrato il grosso delle nostre truppe con base ad Herat ma attive anche nelle due difficilissime province di Bala Morghab e Farah. Secondo l’articolo di oggi (vedi una sintesi in italiano qui):

Mr Ishmayel said that under the deal it was agreed that “neither side should attack one another. That is why we were informed at that time, that we should not attack the Nato troops.” The insurgents were not informed when the Italian forces left the area and assumed they had broken the deal. Afghan officials also said they were aware of the practice by Italian forces in other areas of Afghanistan.

A senior Afghan government official told The Times that US special forces killed a Taleban leader in western Herat province a week ago. He was said to be one of the commanders who received money from the Italian Government. A senior Afghan army officer also repeated the allegation, adding that agreements had been made in both Sarobi and Herat.

Non sono in grado esprimermi sulle accuse del Times (per giunta rivolte ai servizi più che ai militari italiani), di certo appaiono surrogate da fonti diverse e citano persino intercettazioni telefoniche dei servizi americani, ma è altrettanto sicuro che nell’ovest soprattutto negli ultimi sei mesi (ma ricordiamo anche la scorsa “calda” estate con l’Aeromobile nelle stesse zone) gli italiani sono stati in combattimento quasi ogni giorno, che è un elemento sicuramente contraddittorio rispetto al quadro delineato da questi articoli.

Un’osservazione personale. Fermo restando che la tentazione che potrebbe emergere è quella di derubricare tutto alla voce “pessimi rapporti tra Berlusconi e la stampa internazionale” (insomma che piuttosto di affrontare la questione si dica che è solo frutto di screzi e dispetti) e che, comunque, gli effetti sull’immagine internazionale del nostro premier (quello che lui stesso ha definito lo “sputtanamento”) dopo la vicenda escort, non aiuti a dare forza alle pur categoriche smentite governative. Secondo me il punto di tutta questa storia è però un’altro: c’è bisogno di chiarire tutto e farlo subito, non solo per motivi di decoro nazionale (…perdita della faccia…mettiamola così) ma soprattutto perchè i militati sul campo, quelli che rischiano la vita ogni giorno, possono essere seriamente penalizzati da una storia del genere se non chiarita o lasciata (italicamente) perdere per essere poi dimenticata. Chi si trova in prima linea con addosso accuse del genere rischia di non essere più considerato un buon alleato da chi combatte al suo fianco (afghani, americani, francesi, spagnoli che siano) ovvero rischia di ritrovarsi “isolato” e quindi rischia di rischiare molto di più.

Dei “professionisti” tricolori della Task Force 45 si conoscono i reparti di provenienza e la forza approssimativa, 180-200 uomini. Non si sa niente invece delle dotazioni militari, niente degli ufficiali e sottoufficiali, niente della effettiva catena di comando locale, niente sugli avvicendamenti e sui cicli di “operazione”, niente sulla sorte riservata ai feriti mujaeddin e pashtun catturati sul terreno né esiste agli atti del Ministero della Difesa un solo comunicato che riguardi l’attività operativa dell’unità speciale che la Repubblica delle Banane mette ad esclusiva disposizione dei super killer di Enduring Freedom.
Alla faccia della trasparenza e della libertà di “informazione”. Su questa banda di “bucanieri della montagna” il silenzio di giornali e televisione è totale.
Si sa solo, per notizie che rimbalzano in Italia dalla agenzie di stampa afghane nelle provincie di Herat e Farah, che, ad oggi, si contano a centinaia gli insorti “neutralizzati” ed a decine i morti ammazzati tra i residenti per “effetti collaterali” di rastrellamenti, cecchinaggio, tiri di mortaio e “bonifiche” dall’aria.
Ora che la Folgore sta per essere avvicendata la Task Force 45 torna, ad orologeria, alla pratica del rambismo, per alzare il livello dello scontro e per preparare come si deve il “terreno” alla Brigata Sassari.
Tutte le Grandi Unità devono lasciare un “minimum” di caduti nel Paese delle Montagne, sufficiente a cementare solidarietà tra i partner dell’Alleanza Atlantica, a rilanciare sul piano nazionale la necessità della guerra al “terrorismo”, ad instillare nelle Forze Armate del Bel Paese l’odio per un “nemico” che predica e pratica l’Islam, a preparare a livello politico una componente militare di “elite” che offra le esperienze e le specializzazioni necessarie per essere utilizzata, quando sarà “necessario”, sul piano interno come garante dell’ordine pubblico e della sicurezza nazionale.
Una struttura in formazione che sottrae, via via, risorse destinate all’attività di addestramento ed utilizzo del personale delle Forze Armate, acquisizioni logistiche e sistemi d’arma.
Forze Armate che a partire dal Nuovo Modello di Difesa sono state giudicate un peso di cui doversi liberare, elefantiache, obsolete e totalmente inadatte a gestire “operazioni di polizia internazionale” sia dagli esecutivi di centro-sinistra che di centro-destra, con l’esplicito appoggio del Presidente della Repubblica Giorgio Napolitano, del CSD e dei titolari dei Ministeri della Difesa.
Una campagna normativa “acquisti-dismissioni” che parte in sordina dal 1999 e ha preso un’accelerazione da capogiro a partire dall’estate 2006.
Le riforme nella Pubblica Amministrazione annunciate da Brunetta ed approvate in settimana in CdM vanno in questa direzione, al di là dei settori “civetta” sotto tiro.
Per capire cosa si stia muovendo dietro la Task Force 45, dopo mesi di impenetrabile silenzio su questa “unità antiterrorismo”, basterà leggere il seguente comunicato AGI dello scorso 9 ottobre:
“Un capo talebano Ghoam Yahya [un nome con tutta probabilità inventato di sana pianta, ndr] e 25 suoi affiliati [!] sono stati neutralizzati oggi nel corso di un operazione congiunta di militari italiani e statunitensi. L’episodio è avvenuto a 20 km da Herat. Secondo quanto si apprende la Task Force 45 che seguiva il gruppo di insorti già da ieri, è entrata in azione. Appresa la notizia il Ministro della Difesa si è subito complimentato con il CSM gen. Vincenzo Camporini e con il comandante delle forze italiane di Herat generale Rosario Castellano.”
Ecco come il titolare di Palazzo Baracchini ha cercato fraudolentemente di coinvolgere le Forze Armate nazionali in questo nuovo massacro che porta una firma esclusiva: quella della NATO.
Una manovra vergognosa per scaricare sui vertici militari del Paese i malumori di un’opinione pubblica fortemente contraria all’avventurismo bellico della Repubblica delle Banane, una responsabilità che è soprattutto “politica” ed “istituzionale”. Quel “nessun ritiro dall’Afghanistan” pronunciato dal marito della signora Clio da Tokio, all’indomani della morte dei sei parà del 186° Rgt. Folgore, la dice chiara.
Non siamo mai stati teneri con i sostenitori della “missione di pace” dell’Italietta in Afghanistan ma che Camporini sia al corrente del “lavoro” che fa la Task Force 45 “tricolore” è largamente improbabile. Sparare nel mucchio non serve, anzi, è fuorviante e dannoso.
Si sa che La Russa non va per il sottile quando c’è da compiacere il Presidente del Presidente. Lo stiamo attentamente monitorando dal G8 delle “donne” alla Farnesina alla presenza della bocca ad uso poliedrico della Carfagna e di Frattini, a partire dalle mete estere, Corea del Sud e Giappone e dalle frenetiche, ormai quotidiane, convocazioni al Quirinale dei “pezzi da novanta” del Bel Paese nel tentativo di ritardarne l’implosione.
Il conflitto tra Napolitano e Berlusconi non è sulla costruzione a passi da gigante di una Repubblica Presidenziale, che va benone ad entrambi, ma su chi dovrà occupare il seggiolone del Colle con pieni poteri. L’ex fascista “O ‘Sicco” lo vuole destinare alle chiappe di Fini, “papi” vuole metterci le sue. Il resto sono chiacchiere e depistaggi.
Una struttura coperta quella della Task Force 45 che si avvale, sarà bene dirlo, di grosse complicità al Comando Operativo Interforze di Centocelle.
Il curriculum di Camporini, caso pressoché unico, è esente da qualsiasi frequentazione “imbarazzante” a Bruxelles od a Washington.
Frequentazioni che aprono la strada da sessant’anni esatti alle più alte responsabilità nelle Forze Armate dell’Italietta e dischiudono, dopo la quiescenza, le stanze nelle società di Finmeccanica od abilitano ad altri prestigiosi incarichi nelle “istituzioni”, in istituti pubblici o privati, in Italia ed in Europa. Incarichi sempre lautamente retribuiti.
Possibile invece che ne sia stato informato, a cose fatte, il comandante del West Rc di Herat, Prt 11, che non batte da tempo per il verso giusto in attesa di incassare una promozione.
La Task Force 45 non dipende né da Castellano né dal suo diretto superiore gen. Bertolini ma dall’ammiraglio G. Di Paola, un ringhioso cane da guardia con un formidabile pedigree NATO, eletto il 13 febbraio del 2008 Segretario Generale del Comitato che riunisce i vertici militari dei 28 Paesi aderenti all’Alleanza Atlantica, quando era ancora C.S.M delle Forze Armate per decisione del CdM del governo Berlusconi.
Un ammiraglio pataccato da Bush con la Legion of Merit che condivide con Will C. Rogers III, l’ex Capitano di Vascello dell’incrociatore USS CG-49 Vincennes, responsabile dell’abbattimento con due missili antiaerei RIM-66 Standard di un Airbus dell’Iran Air (volo 655) e della morte di 290 passeggeri sul Golfo Persico durante il volo Bandar Abbas-Dubai, il 3 luglio 1988.

Prince of Persia ed Elika

Finalmente dopo quasi un anno dalla sua uscita ufficiale ho appena finito questo settimo capitolo di una delle mie saghe preferite: Prince of Persia. A dire il vero più che settimo capitolo lo definirei l’inizio di una nuova serie di capitoli di nuova generazione, visto che non ha nulla a che vedere con gli altri episodi della saga. Si, perchè a parte le movenze classiche del principe e il nome dell’asina uguale a quello della principessa delle ‘Sabbie del tempo’ (Farah), questo capitolo si differenzia in tutto a partire dalla grafica interamente in cell shading (stile Street Fighter IV). La particolarità principale che troverete solamente in questo gioco è che non si può morire. Nel caso in cui sbagliate un salto e cadete giù (cosa che vi capiterà molto spesso) la vostra compagna d’avventura Elika vi salverà prontamente portandovi sull’ultima piattaforma da cui siete partiti. Per quanto riguarda i combattimenti (che sono davvero pochi) neanche qui potete morire in quanto, se il vostro nemico vi sta per finire, la vostra amata Elika vi salverà ancora (in questo caso però l’energia del nemico si rigenererà parzialmente). A proposito dei combattimenti c’è da dire che anche in questo, il gioco può definirsi unico e senza precedenti in quanto non vi potrà mai capitare durante il gioco di affrontare più di un nemico alla volta. Tuttavia, elecando tutte queste particolarità potreste pensare che sto facendo una critica negativa al gioco, ma non è affatto cosi. Il principe di persia (di cui non sapremo mai il nome) mi ha saputo ancora una volta entusiasmare con le sue mitiche piroette, con la sua agilità fuori dal comune e con questa co-op con la principessina Elika volta a salvare il suo intero regno! Però devo dire che la storyline non è che mi sia tanto piaciuta, soprattutto per il finale. Per quanto riguarda la longevità, infine, vi dico solo che avrei potuto finirlo tutto in una volta perchè è veramente capace di farti azzeccare a livello drogato. Però, purtroppo, una volta finito il gioco non vi resta altro da fare che spegnere la vostra consolle e iniziarne un altro. Comunque vi consiglio l’acquisto di questo videogame anche se il mio preferito resta e penso che resterà per sempre “Le sabbie del tempo”.

Il principe alle prese con una semplice camminata sui muri

TRAMA

La trama del nuovo Prince of Persia è completamente distaccata da quella della trilogia de “Le Sabbie del Tempo”; perfino il principe perde le doti “regali”, cioè ora più che un nobile assomiglia ad un vagabondo, un predatore di tombe, anche se i costosi mantelli che possiede fanno capire che si tratta comunque di una persona di casta alta. Sperduto nel deserto alla ricerca della sua asina Farah (che non ha nulla a che vedere con la compagna del principe dei vecchi episodi, anche se il riferimento ad essa è evidente) si imbatte in “Elika”, la principessa del regno in cui si svolge la vicenda, e insieme raggiungono il tempio in cui è custodito l’Albero della Vita, la prigione magica del dio del caos Ahriman. Per un motivo che si scoprirà durante la partita, il padre di Elika libera Ahriman, disperdendo la Corruzione, un liquido nerastro che porta devastazione e morte nei luoghi in cui si diffonde, e liberando i servi del dio. Il nostro compito sarà proprio quello di “risanare” i Terreni Fertili infettati dalla Corruzione, usando la magia che si scopre possedere Elika, e imprigionare Ahriman.

Articles in El Paso Inc. and the EP Times have stated that we could see the Farah project in full swing by 2010.  With this in mind, I wonder what kind of retailers they have been speaking with.  Could we see a project like ABQ Uptown?   Not sure…but did you know that ABQ Uptown was a Hunt Project…as in Hunt who is based here in El Paso.

I  know that we don’t have as high an income and are the top metro area in the State but wouldn’t it be nice if we saw a project like ABQ Uptown set up shop here or maybe a lifestyle center like the one below?

There is something that page 193 of the yearbook, page 6 of the March issue of the RoundUp, and episode two of BHS TV all have in common. It’s not where it takes place, what’s going on, or the fact that Barrington High School is mentioned several times in each. It’s senior Farah Shirzadi.

With wide brown eyes and energy bursting out of every pore of her body, Shirzadi is no average high school student—and her “lifelong goals,” as she calls them, are not of any average pupil either. Rather than aspiring to be valedictorian or homecoming queen, Shirzadi wishes to be Barrington’s “most pictured” (by finding her way into every source of high school media.) From the yearbook, to the school website, and even in the background of BHS TV, Shirzadi has found her calling as the Where’s Waldo of Barrington High School.

Shirzadi’s goal to be the most pictured began as she walked through the doors of the high school freshman year, yet didn’t take off until her junior year, as recounted in the 2009 edition of The Corral. “According to the index provided, I met my goal of being in the yearbook many times—nine pages to be exact,” said Shirzadi. Shirzadi also finds herself often playing the role of an extra in BHS TV, walking behind interviewees as if she is walking by naturally. As Shirzadi said, “I enjoy being somewhere in the background.”

So how does Shirzadi get just about everywhere? “It always helps to be involved in as many clubs and activities as possible,” Shirzadi explained, who is a proud member of five clubs at BHS, as well as an athlete on the club lacrosse team.  “I also like to submit pictures from football games, dances, etc,” said Shirzadi, adding with a laugh, “I submitted 25 pictures to the yearbook this year!”

At the RoundUp, we saw Shirzadi’s name printed many times on our pages, as she appeared in every issue of the 2008-2009 school year, in both quotes and pictures. “I do prefer to be quoted, because then I can easily voice my opinion to Barrington,” said Shirzadi, “But either way it’s awesome.

While Shirzadi is content for now with her frequent appearances in Barrington’s media outlets, there is one place where she hopes to see her picture in her this year. “My lifelong goal is to be pictured on the school’s homepage,” said Shirzadi. For a girl who’s found her way into every source of news, it doesn’t seem like too hefty of a task, yet Shirzadi knows the unique difficulty of being on the homepage all too well. “I’d have to do something like win state in a sport, which is not going to happen because I play a club sport,” she explained. “Or do something magnificent like win Mr. Barrington.”

Junior Kristy Dodge, who had the privilege of living out Shirzadi’s homepage dreams after competing in the state competition for tennis, said that being on the BHS website was “a true honor,” and added with a smile, “it was a good reward for my accomplishments.”

Yet Shirzadi keeps her hopes up, knowing that even if she never makes it to the homepage, just being pictured at the high school is enough. “It’s all about being at events and supporting the school,” explained Shirzadi. “I’m all for school spirit.”

Friends of Shirzadi’s, such as senior Joey Gallagher, have also joined in on the picturing craze, yet it has become evident that they simply can’t beat Shirzadi’s dedication. “Farah and I are sure to take pictures together, and submit them to the yearbook,” admitted Gallagher.

“I always wonder if people notice that I’m in every single RoundUp or if they just read the articles without noticing me,” said Shirzadi. Although she enjoys being most pictured, Shirzadi said it has nothing to do with her own self-esteem. “Don’t worry,” she said, “I’m not a narcissist or anything. I just like being there for Barrington.”

No matter what the source of Barrington media is, Shirzadi is sure to be there. “If they’re looking,” said Shirzadi, “then I’m there.”

 Veramente, ci avevano detto (ed alcuni ci credevano pure!) che la permanenza del contingente italiano in Afghanistan fosse una ‘operazione di polizia internazionale’ volta all’instaurazione della democrazia… in nome della libertà… per la difesa della pace… per il ripristino del diritto… ed altre fiorite “fantasie lessicali” che infarciscono le banalità propagandistiche in ogni campagna bellica.
Inoltre, la missione militare in terra afgana avrebbe dovuto pacificare l’intera regione; stabilizzare la turbolenta area, compresa tra i monti dell’Hindokush ed i deserti del Belucistan; piantare i semi di una solida democrazia e liberare le donne dalla schiavitù del burqa…
Infatti, gli osservatori europei contestano qualcosa come due milioni di schede contraffatte alle ultime elezioni, che hanno visto la riconferma del presidente uscente Ahmid Karzai. A proposito di diritti e dignità femminile, proprio il presidente Karzai è il firmatario di una legge che, oltre al divieto di circolazione per le donne sposate, stabilisce lo stupro coniugale e, di fatto, la pedofilia col matrimonio di bambine con meno di 12 anni.

E per questi eccezionali risultati spendiamo milioni di euro ogni mese, mandando a crepare i nostri soldati!
Delle migliaia di “danni collaterali” tra la popolazione civile, notoriamente, non frega un cazzo a nessuno.
Adesso sappiamo che la presenza militare dell’Italia in terra afghana è soprattutto una questione di prestigio nazionale e di ‘onore’… secondo un lessico ideologico di stampo ottocentesco e proto-fascista, che ben si addice alle moderne guerre coloniali dei nuovi imperi e del loro contorno di truppe ausiliarie.
Infatti, dopo ben 7 anni di guerra non-dichiarata, l’Afghanistan è frazionato in satrapie semi-indipendenti, dove i vari Signori della Guerra confluiti nella traballante ‘alleanza anti-taliban’ esercitano un potere feudale, ripartito su base clanica, e puntellato dai contingenti militari stranieri.
Il controllo del governo legittimo-laico-democratico non va oltre il centro di Kabul. Sulla sua stessa sopravvivenza ben pochi scommetterebbero, qualora venisse meno il supporto armato delle forze NATO.
Il tempo del conflitto viene dilatato in una spirale che si avvita su sé stessa in un moto perpetuo dai tempi indefiniti, senza una reale prospettiva di soluzione né evoluzione, nell’immanenza di un tempo presente cristallizzato nella minaccia perenne.

“Il tempo di guerra è il periodo che la gente trascorre sotto i bombardamenti. Molti popoli oggi conoscono il tempo di guerra, direttamente, come i nostri nonni e genitori hanno conosciuto quello delle guerre mondiali.
 Il tempo della guerra non è la contingenza del conflitto armato ma è il periodo in cui tutto ruota intorno all’idea della guerra, ai suoi riti, alle sue minacce. Questa idea pervade oggi ogni politica e ogni attività internazionale. Sembra che non ci sia più altra soluzione che la guerra, altra chance che la guerra. Per farla le è stato perfino cambiato il nome. Gli stessi sforzi per la pace ruotano attorno all’idea di evitare la guerra e nel frattempo essa è tenuta allo stato di immanenza, con la paura. Il tempo della guerra significa che essa è sovrana e sovrasta ogni attività umana. Mentre il tempo di guerra è razionale perché rappresenta un punto eccezionale di esplosione della violenza, il tempo della guerra, come forma mentale, è una tendenza di lungo periodo e quindi irrazionale perché contrasta con le aspirazioni più utili all’uomo: la pace e la cooperazione fra i popoli. Paradossalmente, si può avere il tempo di guerra mentre si cercano la pace e il rispetto dei diritti, ma il tempo della guerra porta soltanto a percepire i diritti come giustificazione per la guerra.”

Sono le riflessioni del Gen. Fabio Mini, riprese da un’intervista di Anna Luisa Santinelli (14 Luglio 2009). Per intenderci, tra i suoi moltissimi incarichi, il generale Mini è stato addetto militare in Cina; osservatore militare in USA; Capo di Stato Maggiore del comando interforze NATO per il Sud-Europa; Comandante NATO in Kosovo; e grande esperto in studi strategici.

Winston Churchill asseriva che la guerra fosse una cosa troppo seria per lasciarla ai generali. Evidentemente non aveva mai conosciuto i politici italiani…

Da bambini tutti abbiamo giocato coi soldatini, ma qualcuno continua a farlo anche da adulto con risvolti preoccupanti. È il caso di Ignazio Benito La Russa, lo scoppiettante Ministro della Guerra arruolato alla corte di Re Silvio.
La Russa appartiene alla nutrita schiera di imboscati che, ottenuto l’esonero dal servizio di leva, si improvvisano grandi strateghi e, travestiti da generali, tengono il proprio culo comodamente al sicuro dietro le retrovie. In qualità di ministro, probabilmente si crede un incrocio tra Rommel ed Alessandro il macedone.
La Russa ferox, quello che trapiantato da almeno 40 anni a Milano parla ancora come un picciotto da “Commissario Montalbano”, è colui che più di ogni altro si è battuto per la modifica delle regole di ingaggio, che disciplinano la condotta dei militari italiani impegnati in missioni all’estero. Con la rimozione dei “caveat” e l’estensione delle ‘regole’ in senso maggiormente operativo, per interventi armati di tipo offensivo e l’impiego attivo in azioni di combattimento, il contingente italiano è diventato a tutti gli effetti una forza belligerante impegnata in operazioni di guerra. È superfluo dire che ciò risulta in palese contrasto con il dettame costituzionale e le finalità stesse della missione.
Tuttavia, La Russa (alias la ‘Volpe di Battriana’) non era ancora soddisfatto…
Vuoi per distinguersi con gli altri contingenti occidentali; vuoi per acquisire benemerenze atlantiche; vuoi per una insana idiozia… la Volpe di Battriana ha ottenuto che il corpo di spedizione italiano (2800 unità) venisse dislocato nel pericoloso settore sud-occidentale dell’Afghanistan, tra le province di Herat e Farah (proprio là dove i talebani sono più coriacei), insieme ad un distaccamento di 500 soldati di stanza a Kabul (a rotazione tra paracadutisti e alpini).
Nella loro nuova veste operativa, le truppe italiane, devono arginare l’avanzata dei talebani che da Farah premono verso le province occidentali del Nord e contenere le infiltrazioni dei talebani cacciati dall’offensiva anglo-americana nella vicina provincia di Helmand.
Soprattutto gli italiani devono assicurarsi il controllo ed il costante sminamento della route 517, la principale arteria stradale che attraversa tutto il territorio di Farah e collega il capoluogo provinciale alla cosiddetta ‘Ring Road’: la circolare dal quale si irradiano le principali linee stradali dell’Afghanistan.
La ‘messa in sicurezza’ della route 517 è il motivo dei frequenti giri di perlustrazione delle pattuglie meccanizzate dell’esercito italiano. A battere la strada 517 sono i convogli formati dal veicolo VTLM ‘Lince’, che la truppa chiama meno prosaicamente “scarrafone”. Maggiori sono le uscite di pattugliamento, più aumentano i rischi di attentati esplosivi ed il rischio di cecchinaggio a colpi di lanciagranate RPG… Si tratta di attacchi come quello che il 14 Luglio 2009 ha ucciso il c.m. Alessandro Di Lisio.
Approssimativamente, questo è il trappolone esplosivo nel quale lo zelo della Volpe di Battriana ha cacciato le truppe italiane.
I famosi ‘blindadi linge‘, come li chiama La Russa, sono una variante del versatile VM-80 di produzione Iveco, rinforzati con una corazzatura leggera. Al contrario dei più resistenti autoblindo PUMA e dei pesanti cingolati DARDO, hanno il pregio di essere più veloci, più maneggevoli e dinamici ma, a dispetto di quanto si dice, offrono una protezione sicuramente minore per l’equipaggio. E l’ultimo attentato nella capitale Kabul lo dimostra in modo eloquente.
Nell’esplosione che ha ucciso sei paracadutisti del 186° Reggimento c’era anche il c.m. Pistonami, che il 03/08/09 aveva rilasciato un’intervista profetica a Barbara Schiavulli, inviata del settimanale “L’Espresso”. Il reportage aveva un titolo eloquente: “Trappola Afghanistan”.
Ne riportiamo una parte significativa:

“Il primo caporalmaggiore Giandomenico Pistonami, come il collega Di Lisio deceduto il 14 luglio scorso, è un mitragliere, quello che sta in ralla, il più esposto perché sbuca con il corpo fuori dal Lince. “Esco tutti i giorni, faccio da scorta a materiali e persone”, racconta Pistonami, 26 anni di Lubriano (Viterbo): “Il mio è il ruolo più importante della pattuglia, ho più campo visivo e uditivo, con un gesto posso fermare le macchine che passano”. Un lavoro pericoloso, di concentrazione e tensione che lascia poco spazio alle emozioni. “Purtroppo la mia famiglia guarda i telegiornali”, aggiunge con un sorriso, “ma sono tranquilli quando mi sentono tranquillo, per fortuna ci sono Internet e il telefono”. Il posto che occupa Pistonami qualcuno lo chiama ’sedile della morte’ e spiega che ormai molti mezzi militari di altri contingenti tengono il militare dentro al blindato con un sistema di comando per pilotare la mitragliatrice fuori. Per quanto riguarda i nostri, il ministro della Difesa Ignazio La Russa, pensa di aggiungere una protezione, una sorta di torretta. Il ministro ha anche promesso l’invio, già approvato da un decreto, di due nuovi Tornado, che si aggiungeranno ai due parcheggiati a Mazar-i- Sharif, non appena sarà pronta la pista dell’aeroporto di Herat, sulla cui data di apertura non ci sono tempi certi. I Tornado italiani, come quelli tedeschi, per ora vengono usati come ricognitori, ma il governo non nega la possibilità di aggiungere cannoncini, trasformandoli in mezzi che possono sostenere azioni di combattimento. Ma tutti questi accorgimenti per rendere più sicura la missione arriveranno fuori tempo massimo, comunque dopo il periodo fatale che coincide con la campagna elettorale. Così, mentre in Italia il governo si spacca sulla questione cruciale se rimanere o meno in Afghanistan e la Lega, Bossi in testa, mostra tutto il suo scetticismo, qui i soldati affrontano la loro guerra quotidiana senza nemmeno il conforto di avere alle spalle un esecutivo concorde circa l’utilità del loro impegno.”

Redeployment from the south could bring resistance from British forces struggling to control the Taliban insurgency in Helmand Province. Pakistan surely won’t be too happy either.

Somebody named Jon Henke wants conservatives to boycott WorldNetDaily. A blog called the League of Ordinary Gentlemen commends them for it while referring to Jerome Corsi, Michelle Bachmann and Glenn Beck as crazies. Then someone named Jason Linkins from the Huffington Post jumps on WorldNetDaily with the bold claim that WND faces an organized challenge from the right.

Really?

I know WorldNetdaily is controversial. I’ve read WND since its inception in 1997. Joseph Farah shows rare courage to challenge both the left and the right. He’s a man of conviction who actually repudiates the label of conservative. He passionately believes in the ideals this country was founded on.

Henke maintains that WorldNetDaily is “hideously embarrassing for the right”. So he’s organizing a campaign against them.

Actually I find Henke to be hideously embarrassing and typical of the wimpiness that runs rampant through the Republican Party. Henke and his ilk are scared to death of folks like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann and Glenn Beck. With everything else facing this country Henke wants to boycott WorldNetDaily?

Courage is a rare virtue. One we have lost in our feminized, androgynous culture. Accommodation is much more highly valued. The Founding Fathers were men of rare courage. Men who literally risked everything for a dream. Men who incited revolution and went to war to fulfill that dream. If the Founding Father’s had been men of accommodation we would be part of the British Commonwealth today.

Having followed Joseph Farah for years I can say that he is a man of courage, not accommodation.

Good luck Jon. Joseph Farah’s stared down bigger cowboys than you. But hey, you can feel good about yourself. George Soros is behind you all the way.
