Being  such a Great friday, I’ve decided to throw down some heat.

Rockford-native-indie-band, “Hey Champ!” have been on the scene for awhile and I thought it was about time they get their 15 minutes on Cartel Radio.

Having been signed on Lupe Fiasco’s 1st and 15th label for the past year, they’ve been busy. Besides opening for last year’s Lupe tour and being on tour themselves they’ve been in the studio producing some great tracks and remixes.  As well as collaborating with “The Cool Kids” (Yes, The Cool Kids).  Check out their latest track together below: (We Are) Champions.

Mengapa temperature beku dan titik didih air pada skala Fahrenheit memiliki angka aneh 32 derajat dan 212 derajat?

Untuk kejadian sehari-hari macam membeku dan mendidihnya air, kedua angka tersebut memang aneh, bahkan bagi mereka yang biasa menggunakannya. Angka-angka tersebut terlanjur demikian karena seorang pembuat botol dan fisikawan amatir Jerman bernama Gabriel Fahrenheit (1868-1736) membuat beberapa keputusan buruk.

Peralatan untuk mengukur temperature sudah ada sejak 1592,walaupun belum seorang pun tahu definisi temperature, dan tidak seorang pun mencoba memasang angka-angka pada alat ukur itu.

Maka di tahun 1714 Fahrenheit membuat tabung kaca berisi benang air raksa yang sangat tipis. Ia memilih benda cair itu karena cantik, mengkilap, dan mudah dilihat sewaktu naik dan turun akibat pemuaian atau penyusutan karena mengalami pemanasan dan pendinginan. Akan tetapi thermometer Fahrenheit seperti alat sejenis terdahulu tanpa angka, dan terpikirlah olehnya untuk memasang angka-angka pada alatnya, maksudnya supaya orang-orang lebih mudah membuat perbandingan.

Maka Fahrenheit mulai merancang seperangkat alat untuk dituliskan pada tabung kacanya. Namun,susunannya harus sedemikian sehingga air raksa akan naik ke angka yang sama pada semua thermometer ketika berada pada temperature yang sama. Dan disinilah Gabriel mulai berulah. Para sejarahwan mungkin masih berdebat soal jalan pikirannya sesungguhnya, namun cerita berikut mungkin masuk akal.

Pertama, ia berpendapat bahwa karena sebuah lingkaran penuh memiliki 360 tahap yang disebut derajat, alangkah baiknya jika thermometer pun memiliki 360 tahap-sekalian menyebutnya derajat-untuk rentang antara temperature air beku dan temperature air didih. Akan tetapi 360 akan menyebabkan tiap derajatnya terlalu kecil, maka sebagai ganti ia memilih 180.

Kini mantaplah satu derajatnya, yakni tepat 1/180 jarak tabung antara tanda air membeku dan tanda air mendidih, selanjutnnya ia masih bingung tentang angka yang dipakai. Nol dan 180? 180 dan 360? Atau 32,212?(bukankah 212-32=180?).

Maka, ia memasukkan thermometer nya ke dalam sebuah campuran paling dingin yang dapat dibuatnya-sebuah campuran antara es dan suatu bahan kimia yang disibutnya ammonium chloride-dan disebutnya termperatur itu “nol”.(Gawat, dalam hal ini Anda terlalu arogan,Gabriel!! Begitu yakinkah Anda bahwa orang lain tidak akan mampu membuat temperature hamper 460 derajat di bawah temperature Anda.)

Ketika ia mengukur temperature nya tubuh dia sendiri, termometernya naik sampai 100 angka. (Baiklah, tepatnya 98.6 tapi jangan lupa menyimak kenapa angkanya demikian.) itulah salah satu kelebihan Fahrenheit ; sebagai manusia ia ingin agar temperature tubuh manusia mencatat angka 100 pada skala thermometer.

Sesudah itu, ia memasukkan termometernya ke dalam campuran es dan air, dan menemukan air raksa di dalamnya 32 derajat lebih tinggi daripada temperature nol campuran dinginnya. Maka, itu sebabnya titik beku air menjadi 32 derajat pada skala Fahrenheit. Akhirnya, jika temperature air mendidih harus 180 derajat lebih tinggi dari itu, berarti ia mendapat 32 angka + 180, atau 212. Sampai disini dulu cerita tentang Gabriel Fahrenheit.

Enam tahun setelah tubuh Fahrenheit menjadi sama dengan sekelilingnya, seorang astronom Swedia bernama Anders Celsius (1701-1744) mengusulkan skala centigrade untuk temperature, yang sekarang kita sebut skala Celcius. Centigrade artinya 100 derajat; ia menetapkan ukuran derajat sedemikian sehingga antara titik beku dan titik didih air terdapat 100 derajat, bukan 180 derajat. Selanjutnya ia mendefinisikan “temperature nol”nya pada titik beku air, sebagai titik acuan yang dapat diolah dengan mudah. Maka ia menetapkan titik didih air jatuh pada temperature 100 derajat.(Yang menarik,dengan alasan yang hanya diketahui para astronom Swedia, Celsius mula-mula menetapkan 100 untuk titik beku dan nol untuk titik didih, tetapi sepeninggal orang membalik ketetapan tersebut.

Lalu, bagaimana dengan angka 98.6 yang oleh sebagian orang disebut sebagai temperature tubuh manusia “normal”?  Itu jangan dianggap serius. Suhu manusia berubah-ubah sedikit tergantung waktu dalam sehari, atau dalam sebulan(untuk wanita), juga karena metabolisme. Akan tetapi suhu manusia memang rata-rata berkisar pada 37 derajat Celsius pada kebanyakan orang, maka dokter menyebutnya “normal”. Coba berapa harga Fahrenheit untuk 37 derajat Celsius? Betul, 98.6 derajat, angka yang kelihatan keren daripada angka bulatnya..

Bicara soal konversi, saya tidak pernah bosan untuk mengumumkan sebuah cara mudah untuk mengonversi temperature. Saya tidak tahu mengapa guru-guru terus menerus mengajarkan rumus-rumus yang rumit itu di sekolah, dengan angka 32, kurung-kurung dan pecahan yang tidak tetap,padahal ada cara yang lebih jauh dan lebih sederhana namun akurat.

Bagini caranya :

Untuk mengubah Celsius ke Fahrenheit, tambahkan 40 kalikan dengan 1,8 kemudian kurangi dengan 40.

Untuk mengubah Fahrenheit ke Celsius,tambahkan 40 bagi dengan 1,8 kemudian kurangi 40

Hanya begitu saja. Rumus di atas mujarab karena (a) 40 derajat di bawah nol pada kedua skala mempunyai temperature yang sama dan (b) satu derajat Celsius 1,8 kali besar daripada satu derajat Fahrenheit.  (180:100=1,8).

Ada satu hal yang sering dilupakan : thermometer sesungguhnya hanya mengukur temperature mereka sendiri.

Coba renungkan. Sebuah thermometer dingin menghasilkan bacaan temperature rendah; sebuah thermometer panas menghasilkan bacaan temperature tinggi. Sebuah thermometer tidak memberikan bacaan temperature sebuah benda sampai kita menempelkannya di benda itu dan menjadi hangat, atau menjadi dingin, sampai sama dengan temperature benda bersangkutan. Itu sebabnya kita harus menunggu sampai temperature demam dihangatkan oleh tubuh kita sebelum memberikan bacaan yang benar.

Perlu di ingat! Termometer suhu badan bukan mengukur temperature tubuh melainkan mengukur temperaturnya sendiri.

Por si fuera poco que Twitter nos persiguiera por todos lados, ahora también nos sirve cervezas. Bueno, digamos que no es nuestro barman, pero sí nos “ayuda” a saber cuánta cervez nos queda, si la hemos tirado bien, la temperatura… etc etc y un sinfín de etc, que para mi gusto son inútiles pero que me apetecía que conocierais por el efecto que, según mis amigos, hace en mí el Twitter.

Este es el tirador de cerveza (con Twitter integrado) (y he aquí el tutorial de cómo lo hizo, por si alguien le quiere seguir el juego)

Así que cada vez que se sirve una caña, el tirador envía a twitter la temperatura de la cerveza (en grados Farenheit), la cantidad aproximada de cerveza que queda y las veces que ha usado el tirador.

I need to explain my insanity.

Normally I wouldn’t write about someone I still work with, but (obviously) I’m going to make an exception because there is no way anyone can explain this situation in a way that makes my coworker’s behavior sane (There are always two sides.  And there is another side here too, but it’s crazy).

It’’s been rather hot out lately, but it’s been cool most of the summer.  Unfortunately, my office hasn’t been much cooler than about 80 degrees farenheit all summer.  That means most days I can sit outside and be cooler than I am in my office (and even if it is warmer outside, at least there’s a breeze).

Finally I couldn’t take it anymore.  The digital thermometer on my wall read 81 degrees this afternoon.  That’s ridiculous.  So, I walked down to the office that has the thermostat and it’s set at 76 degrees.  Well, that’s not right.  Not only is my office hot, there is no airflow.  It’s suffocating.

I alked over to tell the worker in charge of maintenance in my department.  I explained the reading on my digital thermometer and that the thermostat setting.

The coworker’s repsonse was something to do with the fact that the HVAC workers had just done a PM (preventative maintenance) check on the system a week or so before.  So, I just stood there and gave this lady a blank stare.  Inside I was saying “how does that help me”, “does that make my office comfortable?”, “so?”

Then, when she saw I wasn’t leaving her office doorway, oh I swear this  is true, holy crap I couldn’t make this up it’s too stupid and there’s no flipping punch line, she hands me an old-fashioned mercury thermometer and says that I should verify the reading on my digital thermometer with the mercury thermometer! WTF?  I’m uncomfortable enough that I looked at the digital thermometer (It’s hanging below my bulletin board so papers from the bulletin board hang over it)which read 81 degrees but this isn’t enough reason to look into the situation?  I need to use this old ass thermometer that we shouldn’t even still have (we were told to turn our mercury thermometers in to the hazardous waste removal company) to double check what my body and my digital thermometer are telling me before she will acknowledge my complaint?!?! What am I supposed to do with that damn thing? Take my temperature?  Should I bend over and grab my ankles so she can do it?

It gets crazier too!  First, we were talking about a 5 degree farenheit difference between the thermostat and my office.  She gave me a celsius thermometer with a range of -20 to 150 degrees. That 5 degree farenheit difference is only 2.8 degrees celsius.  But I’m supposed to verify the difference on a thermometer that has a 170 degree celsius range (or  a 242 degree farenheit range to verify a 5 degree difference).  You can’t be that precise with a thermometer that has such a large range.

If she would have said that she didn’t want to spend the money to call the HVAC people out again or that the thermostat was turned up to save money (or to conserve for environmental reasons), I would have nothing to say.  Those are legitimate responses.  I was never promised the workplace would be kept at my preferred temperature.  But to hand me that thermometer was just insane.  She makes me want to drink.  No one should have to deal with that kind of nonsense while sober.

So, I walked away from her office into the next office with the thermometer in hand.  And I did what any other normal person would do: I showed the thermometer and explained the situation to another coworker.  And then we started giggling.  I know it’s not mature, but the whole thing is stupid that I needed to make a joke to shake it off.  And as soon as thermometer lady heard us giggling, she couldn’t take the thermometer back fast enough.  Even she must have realized how petty and ridiculous she sounded.  She practically chased me down the hall and tackled me in order to get the thermometer back from me.  And the whole time, she’s prattling about how we should take a baseline reading with the thermometer in her office first and that yesterday she was warm also and how she had set the thermostat to a lower setting and and and.  Really just nervous babbling.  She didn’t babble when she told me I needed to verify that my office was hot.  WTF? If you’re going to act crazy, stand by the crazy.  Own that fucking crazy.

Anyway, the outcome was that the HVAC guy was out at our site about 20 minutes after she retrieved her thermometer.  And I didn’t even have to have my temperature taken rectally!

The HVAC worker said that the thermostat wasn’t reading the temperature right and that he would be back tomorrow with a part.  We have a contract.  Unless there is gross negligence on our part, it doesn’t cost us to have the HVAC guys come out.  So the whole thermometer deal was just an excuse for my coworker to avoid having to do the hard, hard job of calling for service!

Thanks for listening to me vent.  I feel much better now.

Ya hace más de un mes se dio a conocer que Wu Zun y Zhou Xun protagonizarán la versión taiwanesa de Full House, aunque se dice que no será un remake de lo realizado por Song Hye Kyo y Bi, sino una adaptación del manga original.

Este drama será dirigido por Niu Cheng Zhe, y se filmarán escenas tanto en Taiwan como en China.

La historia tratará de la separación de ambos paises por 60 años, una chica de Beijing (Zhou Xun) de repente recibe una noticia de Taiwán, en la que le informan sobre una herencia de su abuelo. Entonces ella viaja a Taiwán y descubre que la casa de su abuelo ha sido rentada por una gran celebridad (Wu Zun).

Full House ha sido uno de los mejores dramas que he visto, y sin lugar a dudas, fue un éxito en Korea, difícilmente podrán igualar a la realizada por Bi y Song Hye Kyo, es que ya estamos acostumbrados a ver remakes, que bueno,la historia se hace súper conocida por nosotros, pero si esta no será una copia, sino una adaptación del manga, entonces esto es muy distinto.

Aunque la actuación de Wu Zun no me es para nada desagradable, y su grupo musical (Farenheit) tampoco lo es, no lo veo en el lugar de Bi, y menos a la protagonista, que no conozco para nada, y jamás igualará a Song Hye Kyo.

Y para quienes no lo sabemos,  Zhou Xun ganó el premio a mejor actriz por la película “The Equation of Love and Death” en el Asian Film Awards (AFAs) de este año, además ha participado en varias películas y dramas reconocidos.

On Friday, Mrs. Cutter and I decided to take off work and visit Hershey Park.  I have been to HP a few times in my life, but it has been about ten years since my last visit.

First off, the drive up 270 towards Pennsylvania could be a trip by itself, as there were lots of good restaurants and attractions that we might visit if we had time: Farmstands, pancake restaurants, and paintball!  What more could you ask for?

Sadly, the weather report called for rain, which would put a bit of a damper on our day.  So we wanted to be sure to get in as much activity while we could.  Naturally, we first went to the ride with the longest line: Farenheit.  This roller coaster sent you up a hill that was pretty much vertical, and then almost straight down.  I liked it, Mrs. Cutter did not.

And then, the rain started.  It was only a drizzle, so we figured we’d be OK.  We went to the Great Bear coaster which had a warning sign that in case of rain, lubricants might drip on you.  They weren’t lying about this as Mrs. Cutter and I both got lube from the track on our clothes.  Aside from the drippings, the coaster itself was pretty good. 

We next headed to the SooperDooperLooper.  Back in the 80s, this was HP’s feature coaster, as I remember seeing people wearing “I Survived the SooperDooperLooper” T-shirts.  But naturally, as more advanced coasters get built, the older ones lose a bit of luster.  I’d say how well it has held up, but we didn’t get to ride, as when we got near the front of the line, the rain had picked up to the point where all coasters had to be shut down.

The rain continued for awhile, so we had to find non-coaster forms of entertainment.  We went on the swings, which are a lot less fun when getting rained on.  We saw that a musical show was about to start at the ampitheatre, so we decided to sit down and watch.  What we saw was “The Ultimate Road Trip Show” where the cast sang songs related to possible road trip destinations.  I’m not sure how to best describe this show, so I’ll just say that it killed some time.

They also had a zoo there, so we walked around and saw various animals.  Nothing too exotic, and certainly nothing you wouldn’t be able to see at a local zoo.  One complaint is that animals do not respond to my commands and perform when I ask them to.  I’ll have to add “Learn to control animals” to my to-do list.

We were getting tired of being in the rain, so we were going to head home.  Then we noticed that some of the water park rides were still running.  Figuring that we were getting wet anyway, we got changed and went on the giant flume ride.  They have warning signs that you will get wet on this ride.  They aren’t kidding.  It seems like water just keeps falling on you.  Next, we tried the Roller Soaker which is a roller coaster where they keep spraying water on you.  This sounded great in theory, but by the time we through the line, we were dry and cold, and the prospect of getting splashed wasn’t as appealing.

After we got off the Roller Soaker, the weather had cleared up, and the coasters were being run again.  After one more trip on the giant flume, we got changed and tried to hit a few more coasters.  We did three more, but then we left the park to do what everyone really goes to Hershey Park to do: Visit Chocolate World.  When HP first opened, they used to let you tour the actual chocolate factory.  But now, they have a whole building with a ride that simulates the factory tour.  The ride guides you through the chocolate making process and has singing audio animatronic cows.  At the end, they give you a small sample Hershey bar.

After the ride, you end up in the Hershey gift shop.  This is the most dangerous place in the world, as there is a lot of chocolatey temptation everywhere you look.  Mrs. Cutter and I bought four bags of chocolate, some of which actually survived the rest of the weekend and was brought into Mrs. Cutter’s workplace.  We still consumed our body weight in Hershey Kisses though.

On the way home, we got a rare treat and stopped at Sheetz for dinner.  We’re still awaiting the day when a Sheetz opens up near us.

Overall, despite the rain, we had a pretty good day.  While the rain may have delayed some of the fun, it also helped keep the lines shorter, so we probably got as much in as we normally would.  if we ever go back, we’d probably plan to go for two days, as HP is huge, and there were a lot of attractions that we missed.

ok, so the hANa kimi season 2 was canceled…  much to my dismay, i was reaaly looking forward for the sequel even it would be just a movie,.. or much better another idol drama starring all the cast of HANA KIMI TAIWAN would be a smash!!!

I wonder if they are planning somehow a movie or another idol drama???

many are really mesmerized and enchanted not just by ella chen and wu chun as well as jiro wang also danson tang but all the unique cast and qualities of the HANA KIMI TAIWAN CAST…

I read from a gossip site that the reason there wont be any hana kimi season 2 because it didnt gathered much ratings as much as the season 1 however i really don’t care as long as there is a sequel or a movie since hana kimi season 1 kept me puzzled as to how the story of the whole cast will go..

I mean what will happen if jiro wang and danson tang find out about ruixi’s gender?? will they fall in love and what will happen to quan??? as they are no longer ambigous with their realtionships?? will they become more intimate???

anyway…

if i were the script writer of the HANA KIMI SEASON 2 it will go on like this… what do you think???

HANA KIMI SEASON 2 PLOT:

ruixi manage to graduate  at ying tae…  and even though they go on separate lives,… they still communicate through emails, calls and texts..

ruixi went back to america as for quan,.. he still practice high jumping the others went back to their home town… Mei tian,.. remains at ying tae as the schools doctor,…

3 years later…

ying tae was closed due to bancruptcy,… and so Mei tian had to resign and find another corporate to work as a doctor..

along his way,.. he stumble with quan with jiro, danson, and da sho..

coincidently they are working at the JK corporate entertainment industry..

Mei tian was hired to be the corporate doctor..

a little later,.. ruixi called to quan that she is returning  taiwan, quan happily and enthusiastically tell everyone the news,.. but do take note that jiro, danson tang and da sho still has not yet known ruixi’s real gender..

ruixi didnt give any details however to quan where she is going to work,.. and ruixi also doesnt know where quan works,….

quan was expecting ruixi to arrived early in the morning so he hurriedly went to the airport together with the others to welcome ruixi,.. but then ruixi connecting flight was delayed and her phone was out of reach,..

2 days later….

there was a buzz at the jk company..

a newcomer will arrive one of the asset of the jk company and will be working with the advertisement department where quan and the others are assigned..

quan was curious.. and so they are assigned to welcome the newcomer,.. they prepared the hall for the event…

moments later everything was ready… everyone are waiting…

and as this lady approaches the center stage,..

quan was surprised that it was ruixi after all…

jiro, danson tang and dasho,. were familiarizing the face,.. and as ruixi introduces her name,… the three of them were shocked!

especially jiro,.. his heart beats a lot faster that he couldn’t breath..

as they all meet,… ruixi apologize for lying and hiding her real gender identity,.

and finally ruixi is reunited with quan…

but now that the others finally know her identity.. what will be the impact will this do to their relationship with the others?????

a whole lot of romance and comedy with quan, danson and jiro fighting over ruixi,.. and mei tian,… being a lot more manly…….

Histoire de coller à l’actualité encore toute brulante et frétillante de l’E3 et en attendant les prochaines conférences événementielles à venir (TGS, Leipzig), la rédaction d’OwShitz se propose de faire le point sur les jeux qui risquent de nous en mettre plein la gueule ces prochains mois. Le tout dans un climat de subjectivité totalement assumé. Et sans images, parce qu’on est des gens austères.

- Bioshock 2 :

Parce que Bioshock est certainement le jeu le mieux écrit  de ces dernières années, servi par un univers post-utopiste oppressant et un gameplay au poil. Et ce deuxième volet marquera l’apparition du mode multijoueurs qui s’annonce très sympa (inspiré de Modern Warfare pour le levelling), et que putain, le solo nous mettra dans la peau d’un fucking Big Daddy. Classe ultime.

- Diablo III :

Need hack’n’slash sérieux, et le label Blizzard c’est souvent bandant il faut bien le dire.

- Modern Warfare 2 :

Probablement peu de nouveautés à prévoir pour cette suite mais quelque part on s’en tape fort puisque les ingrédients du précédents opus seront présents : un scénario ultra scripté mais intense, et un putain de multi. Je signe.

- Dante’s Inferno :

Le nouveau jeu de EA Redwood Shores Studio, les papas de Dead Space; ce FPS/Survival horror sorti de nulle part l’an dernier pour tabasser tous les codes et rouages échaudés du genre. Espérons que les p’tits gars sauront réussir le même coup de maître, parce que bon, si ça peut m’éviter d’acheter une ps3 pour God of War.

- Heavy Rain :

J’ai pas encore de PS3 mais je kiffe David Cage et j’attends beaucoup ce Heavy Rain ultra ambiancé et qui, j’espère, sera aussi innovant et captivant que l’avait été le scandaleusement sous-côté Farenheit à l’époque.

Car la bande annonce à l’E3 m’a donné sacrément envie mine de rien.

- Golden Sun DS :

6 ans d’attentes… 6 fuckin’ années. Les deux premiers opus étaient juste excellents, Golden Sun a su vite construire son univers avec ses propres mécanismes de jeu et son très bon scénario. Bref, ma DS a hâte, oh oui.

- Star Wars : The Old Republic :

Le seul MMORPG qui peut, et va, faire du mal aux gros du moment ( l’indétrônable WoW, WAR, LOTRO… ). Plus les informations arrivent à son sujet, plus mes mains deviennent moites. Et puis bon sang, quel trailer à l’E3 !

- The Legend Of Zelda Wii 2 :

Car un Zelda est un Zelda, point.

- Final Fantasy XIII :

Bon hein… j’ai grandi avec les FF, alors même si on crache sur eux pour aucune raison apparente, je vais pas me gêner pour attendre la sortie avec impatience. Malgré ce qu’on dit de lui, je le trouve beau, avec une héroïne graphiquement sympatoche et des combats qui ont l’air dynamiques.

- Dragon Age Origins :

Un des plus beaux rendus graphiques. Et parce que jouer à cache-cache avec des patibulaires armés, c’est rigolo.

- Assassin’s Creed II :

La suite d’un jeu vidéo original qui promet pas mal d’innovations. Et il faut dire que planer en toge avec une invention de Leonard de Vinci au-dessus de Venise pour reluquer les décolletés plongeants des jeunes demoiselles masquées, c’est rigolo.

- Le prochain The Legend Of Zelda sur Wii :

Un Link plus mature que dans tous les Zelda précédents, ça donne envie. Et sauver Zelda pour la énième fois, c’est… nan elle est lourde à se faire kidnapper cette nunuche.

- Replay :

Parce que jouer avec le temps c’est rigolo.

- Golden Sun DS :
Ayant adoré les deux premiers opus, je ne peux qu’espérer être charmé par ce jeu totalement inattendu.

- Star Wars : The Old Republic :

Un trailer absolument magnifique, du Kotor version online (une histoire propre à chaque classe), ce jeu s’annonce être une merveille dans le monde du MMORPG.

- Zelda : Spirit Tracks :

Fan des Zelda depuis longtemps, je ne veux surtout pas en manquer ne serait-ce qu’un seul.

- Prototype :

Des pouvoirs intéressants à utiliser, un trailer sympa, une histoire basique mais qui paraît alléchante.

- Blood Bowl :

Un jeu du genre Mario Football mais en version Warhammer et plus bourrin, un jeu qui promet d’être fun !

Le premier est juste le meilleur jeu de tous les temps, le deuxième est infame. J’espère que celui là sera à la hauteur.

- Diablo 3 :

Les premières images sont sacrément aguichantes, j’ai hâte de taper du monstre à la chaîne.

- Marvel Ultimate Alliance Fusion :

J’avais adoré le premier ainsi que les vieux Xmen Legends. S’ils reprennent la même formule avec pas trop de changement et de nouveaux graphismes j’achète sans hésiter.

Après le bien mais pas terrible Fallout 3, la licence retombe dans les mains des gars de Black Isle, les créateurs originaux. Youpi ?

- Brutal Legend :

Tim Schafer est de retour, avec ce jeu coolzor qui bénéficie d’un casting 4 étoiles et d’une ambiance marrantometol.

Jiro Wang ha parecido en la   revista Men’s body.

En la revista concede una entrevista en la que, pese a a imagen de felicidad que da, nos explica que ha tenido un pasado triste. Cuando pequeño actuaba como autista, y, por enfermedad de su padre, se vio obligado a hacer turnos con su madre para cuidarlo en el hospital, al que iba antes y después del colegio. Confiesa que siempre ha querido vivir en una familia convencional, pero que la realidad que le tocó era muy diferente.

Tras la muerte de su padre las cosas se pusieron aun peor, ya que se tuvo que poner a trabajar con urgencia. Sin saber cómo, acabó entrando en la industria del entretenimiento y comenzó a rodar It Started with a Kiss. En este punto tiene muy buenas palabras para Ariel Lin, que le dio valor para seguir adelante y valoró su persistencia, que le hizo llegar donde estaba.

Además sobre sus compañeros de Farenheit comenta que le apoyan y le hacen avanzar cada día, cada uno con sus cualidades y optimismo.

Habla también de su futuro, asegurando que, pese a que cantar es su pasión, la actuación se ha convertido para él en algo adictivo, y quiere ponerse el reto de interpretar a un personaje malvado para superarse.

El famosísimo manga de Nanaji Nagamu, Parfait Tic!, recopilado en 22 tomos, verá la luz con actores de carne y hueso gracias a la cadena de televisión GTV, que ha adquirido los derechos a la editorial Shueisha.

Aún se desconocen los detalles de la producción, salvo que la actriz que dé vida a la protagonista, Fuuko, sería Selima, integrante del grupo musical S.H.E. En cuanto a los protagonistas, Daiya e Ichi Shimpo, se rumorea que caigan en manos de Calvin y Aaron, integrantes del grupo Farenheit.

Fuuko es una chica muy alegre que vive en una división de departamentos. Un día su vida dará un giro de 180° con la llegada de sus nuevos vecinos, los primos Shinpo, Daiya e Ichi. Los dos son muy guapos, pero radicalmente distintos. Daiya es un chico alegre y despreocupado, pero también todo un casanova; mientras que Ichi es callado y en un primer momento da la sensación de ser muy borde. El primer encuentro de Fuuko con los primos Shinpo no es muy grato y para colmo, de ahora en adelante asistirán al mismo instituto.

First thing we’ll do is create a class called ConversionFormulas.

Inside this class we’ll create two methods. One to convert from Farenheit to Celcius, and another to convert from Celcius to Farenheit.

Inside your ConversionFormulas class create these methods:

Let’s analyze the first line of each method for a bit. When you create a method you can give the method parameters to use. Let me explain what this means:

Let’s say you’re the boss of a sushi chef. You buy him a new knife one day and instruct him on how to gut the fish, cut the fish, scale it, cook it, etc. The chef knows that how to act when he recieves a fish. His instructions were explained by his boss. One day he gets a fish and proceeds to do everything a chef is supposed to do.

It’s a similar situation with methods. You build methods that will work with other controls,methods,etc. Our ConvertTemperatureFarenheit method knows it will recieve 2 textboxes and that’s how we have built it.

You’ll see why we did this in a second.

In your Form1 class create an instance of your ConversionFormulas class:

Now go to your design tab of Form1 and double click on one button, then double click on the other.

Bueno, no puedo estar más contenta. Me acabo de enterar de que Doramamex, se hará cargo de subtitular la serie de la cual recién les hablé y que  se encargó de juntar a los cantantes taiwaneses Rainie Yang  y Jiro Wang.

Doramamex es un excelente fansub, donde un grupo de trabajadoras chicas nos entregan en súper buena calidad las series que la están llevando. Así ocurrió con Boys Before Flowers y espero que pronto puedan sacar el primer capítulo de Superstar Express, para disfrutar del particular humor de Mars (Jiro) y el nuevo papel de Rainie como una chica agorafóbica.

Como estoy entusiasmada con la serie, y también porque me encanta Farenheit, quise dejar la canción de entrada de este TW drama, que ya va en su séptimo capítulo. Ojalá les guste la canción, (tiene la letra en pinyin y su traducción al inglés)  a mi me llamó la atención de que Farenheit esté más roquero aunque no pierden nunca su lado pop.

Como los dramas Taiwaneses son mis preferidos, y conozco los trabajos de algunos actores de allá, no me quiero perder la oportunidad de hablar de ToGETher, dorama que logró juntar a Rainie Yang y Jiro Wang, pareja que a mi gusto, me encanta y encanta. Con sólo ver el título esto ya dice mucho… un simple juego de palabras…

La historia es súper simple… Mars cuyo nombre real es Zhuang Jun Nan (Jiro Wang) es una superestrella, que ha ido perdiendo popularidad, debido a malos comentarios realizados por las revistas de espectáculos (los paparazzis se encargan de dejarlo en un estado casi denigrante, puros malos entendidos). Producto de esto, su situación económica se vuelve decadente hasta el punto de que tiene que dejar su departamento full equipado y a su asistente y mejor amigo Yi Zhi (Ji Qin) a su nuevo archienemigo  Ben (Wang Jian Long), la nueva estrella naciente. Gracias a esto, el decide ir a la Universidad y vivir una vida más o menos normal (su primer día fue chistoso, premio a su egocentrismo… total; él es MARS!!! ) y conoce a Chen Momo (Rainie Yang), una niña agorafóbica (aunque no la describiría así, a ella le gusta pasar desapercibida… MUUUY desapercibida); quien es practicamente obligada  a darle un paseo por la universidad. Sus vidas quedan más que entrecruzadas cuando se entera que Yi Zhi lo ayudó a rentar una habitación en el hogar de Momo.

La forma de ser de los personajes es lo que me encanta, a Jiro siempre le han tocado personajes cómicos y esta no es la excepción, Mars al principio es un egocentrista al máximo, pero a medida que transcurren los capítulos vemos su lado más humano y como poco a poco va aceptando la llegada a su vida de Momo (y las dulces consecuencias que trae esto consigo). Por su parte Rainie cambió totalmente su personaje de Miss no Good, al de una chica ultra tímida, amante del manga y figuritas del príncipe Kasaba. Momo vive en su hogar junto a su hermana mayor, Chen Chu Chu (Linda Liao) quien le da más de un dolor de cabeza a la pobre Momo, y también convive mucho con su amigo de la infancia Wei Jia Sen (George Hu), quien es un excelente nadador, pero su CQ es de un niño pequeño. Lo bueno de él, es que adora a Momo.

Que más puedo decir, la banda sonora contiene canciones de Farenheit (la banda conformada por Jiro) donde la canción de cierre es la canción digamos que con más significado para Mars (viendo los capítulos se darán cuenta el porque). Para los curiosos que quieran escucharla, se llama “Momo” ~ “Silently”.

Como dato, la emite las cadenas taiwanesa CTV y GTV, los días sábados y/o domingos (dependiendo de la cadena televisiva) a las 21:00 hrs. Se estrenó el 15 de febrero de 2009 y su director es Lin Zi Ping. Para quienes la quieran ver online, pueden hacer click en mysoju.com donde podrán encontrar los capítulos en español e inglés.

Toute matière se dilate quand elle chauffe et se contracte quand elle refroidit. C’est parti­ culièrement vrai des métaux, dont les variations de température peuvent modifier les dimensions de façon très visible. Le mercure est un métal aux propriétés intéressantes: à température ambiante, il est liquide.

Autrefois, c’était ce métal qu’on utilisait dans les thermomètres, mais comme il est également très toxique, il a été interdit en France en 1999. Une faible quantité de mercure enfermée dans une tige de verre graduée permet de mesurer la température car, en se dilatant, le mercure prend de plus en plus de place dans la tige.

C’est le scientifique suédois Celsius qui, au 18e siècle où de nombreux savants travaillaient sur la mise au point du thermomètre, choisit de noter 0 degré la température à laquelle l’eau se solidifie et 100 celle à laquelle elle s’évapore. D’autres échelles, comme l’échelle Fahrenheit sont utilisées aux Etats-Unis.

Le tout premier instrument de mesure de la température, le thermoscope, a été mis au point par Galilée. Il s’agit d’un cylindre rempli de liquide dans lequel sont plongés des objets flottants de masses diverses. En fonction de la température, qui fait varier la masse volumique du fluide, les objets les plus lourds coulent et les plus légers continuent de flotter. Le thermoscope de Galilée est encore aujourd’hui parfois utilisé comme objet décoratif.
