Look at this tub and sink. They’re strategically placed close enough to one another that the faucet could swivel, lower and raise to serve both tub and sink. This would obviously save on material and labor costs. It’s kept very simple. With the stone wall being pretty basic/earth tone, I like it!

This could be very innovative if I am seeing something that is real. A swivel faucet that lowers and rises to serve both tub and sink. Your thoughts?

Take a look at the things, stuff, electronics, picture frames, glass tops to counter tops. Microwave ovens to, George Foreman Grill to the Ron RONCO Rotisserie oven ~ “Set it and forget it” (they never mention what a royal pain in the rear end it is to clean that thing up. But it does cook a great piece of meat. Reel-to-Reel is still the best in quality but you can’t buy one. Beta should have easily beat out VHS but id not. Technology? Perhaps. Who moved faster, was more aggressive, got things going was who became the winner. It really didn’t have a thing to do with quality back then because ppl chose to buy VHS to record. It looked like crap but everything off of the TV set did then. Now it’s Blu-ray and HD-DVD over which format will become the dominant high-definition DVD platform. It’s a flip of the coin and who is the faster runner. So as you see things in your home that were brand new yesterday may be completely out of date today….. Wow my brain flatulated just then and I forgot where I was going with all this. I remembered and will tell you where, back to the basics as we should. I just read and article the other day on this upstart company that builds homes. Yea, big deal you’re thinking. The thing is these homes are ridiculously small somewhere around25 sq ft with a cozy (have ppl always noticed when the word cozy is used that the writer means cramped?) anyway, price tags for these one wheelers about 4 times the size of an outhouse is around 35k. Three br, 2 bath homes built in the 70’s were going for 25k – 30k. Inflation is definitely going to be the death of this country UNLESS we do go back to the basics and stick with them. I am relearning myself. I am fixing things rather than replacing. I am buying used instead of brand new. I ask the cashier at department stores if they have a coupon I can use. Most do. There are coupon books out there that serve the community from dining out to golf. Typically it’s a 2-for-1 deal which is great. So I came across this Loo and the first thing I thought of was Pitcher and Bowl. Now we obviously have better plumbing and such so it’s not entirely necessary to go back too far but back far enough where everything seemed much more peaceful, a simplicity to life, a relaxed hr or two in the sun drink a cold root beer. Take a look at the basin then look around your home. Try and find things that have given us a great advantage over some things but now how can we tone it down so that it is “greener”, better for the consumer, and the quality is unmatched. Send me your ideas. This could stimulate whole new workforce and this is a great thing!

Freakin’ awesome dream.
Just amazing, really.

Had a dream that I went to the future (so I was still the present me in my mind, but I was in the body of my future self), and apparently, I was a very famous fashion designer-slash-photographer (which makes sense–right now, I actually AM an aspiring photographer, and before I wanted to be a photographer, I had wanted to be a fashion designer).  I had an assistant who was walking me to my store, which was in a very large building that was similar to a department store, except it had a bunch of stores stacked on top of one another….kind of hard to describe.
Basically, we started out at the ground floor, which housed the smallest and most inexpensive stores in the building.  We were going up the building in sort of a spiral pattern, and the higher up in the building you went, the bigger and more expensive the stores got.  Basically, it started off with the lowest part of the building, and a few stores in that part.  The higher up we got, eventually, there was one store per floor, then one store every two floors, etc.

Apparently, the current trend was “ruffles,” as that’s what all of the clothing featured…which, personally, I found highly unattractive (not that the clothing looked bad, because it didn’t.  It’s just REALLY not my taste).

We eventually got to the very top of the building, and the assistant and I stood in front of a limited access only door.  She told me that this was MY store, and motioned to a poster near the door.  “Recognize that?” she said, and smiled.  I looked at the poster, which featured a very bad crayon drawing of a picture I had taken (one that I actually DID take in real life).  “Uhhh….sure?” I replied, and we went inside.

In one part of my store, there was a gigantic half pipe (yes, the kind that skateboarders use), and in that part of the store, there was a little girl having her birthday party.  When she and her friends saw me, they got very excited and happy, and couldn’t believe that I was there.
I started running up and down the half pipe for some reason…

Eventually, I stopped, and the bottom of the half pipe turned into a pool, and there were a few models that were wearing my clothing in it.  I started doing a photoshoot with each model individually.

That was pretty much where the dream ended…it was pretty freakin’ sweet though.
Despite the fact that it was weird as hell, that’d be a pretty cool reality for me 

Came across this image today, it reminded me of a lady in my office I have nicked named “China doll”, she does not look real, too beautiful and extremely petite, she also likes her labels.

GerMichael the Stylist

 GERMICHAEL MONTIA COLE is making a grand entrance onto the fashion scene.  Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, he brings new insights, new ideas, and new concepts to the world of fashion.
Upon first moving to Ypsilanti in 1999, he met a man by the name of Don W. Shelby, Jr.  Not knowing it at the time, this man would soon be the catalyst needed to propel him in the direction he should go.  Don Shelby serves as the pastor of Burning Bush International Ministries, with churches in Ypsilanti and Jackson, Michigan.  He’s a man with remarkable taste and impeccable style.  He became Germichael’s pastor, spiritual father, friend, and most of all his mentor–fashion mentor. 
Germichael was humbled by Pastor Shelby’s giving spirit as he soon became the recipient of the many clothes and accessories that Pastor Shelby no longer wore.  This simple act of kindness thrust Germichael into the wondrous world of FASHION!

 As he began to develop his own style and fashion sense, others began to take notice.  His keen eye has the ability to bring looks together that the average Joe couldn’t even dream.  In 2007 a close friend asked him to “style” him for a photo shoot.  This went exceptionally well.  The photographer, Jeffrey Cross (J. Cross Photography) was more than pleased with Germichael’s work, and encouraged him to really take the limits off and go full throttle in the industry.  Shortly after, in April of the same year, Germichael Montiä Fashions was born.  Germichael Montiä Fashions serves as a Fashion Styling and Image Consulting business with the motto “Empowering Your Fashion Sense.”  While there are many designers and fashionistas all over the globe, Germichael looks to Mr. Fonzworth Bentley and Ralph Lauren as his main influences and fashion icons.

Germichael knew that simply putting a new twist on familiar designs would not be enough, he needed to create new designs altogether.  In May of 2007 he began working at American Tailoring where he quickly learned techniques that would allow him to put his own spin on things.  To further his studies he enrolled at the International Academy of Design and Technology where he was able to hone his craft and increase in knowledge by exploring such topics as design history, fashion trends, marketing, couture houses, and the like.
Today Germichael’s work can be seen walking down local runways, and in photo spreads for many area models. 
It may have been a bumpy ride on the way to fashion ave, but the trip has sure been worth it.  Get on board, and GET EMPOWERED!

On his way to Venice, leaving from airport Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle, 87 years old French fashion designers Pierre Cardin accused pains and was immediately hospitalized, according to airport sources.

Pierre Cardin was in the boarding room when he started feeling sick. He was transported by a private ambulance to an American hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, near Paris.

In May, Cardin was hospitalized two days in Marseille, after a power failure. Five days before he was hospitalized for a double fracture of the scapula after he felt from a ladder.

Pierre Cardin, who opened the doors of his fashion house in 1949, remains the head of an empire with an estimated turnover of 6 billion, of which however began to separate.

In 2008 he occupied position 71 in a top of the largest fortunes in France, with 500 million euros, according to Challenges magazine’s annual ranking.

Is the greed a fault? Nonsense! In such lovely boxes, created in limited edition for Ladurée, by Consuelo Castiglioni, the fashion designer of Marni, those macaroons are so tempting! XS sized fashion victims:  forget them! For the others: let’s ourselves be tempted! What a great idea! From December the 1rst in Ladurée’s shops in Paris, London, Dublin, Tokyo and Switzerland.

Should there be a trend that never goes out of fashion, it would be the passion for long skirt.  It’s one of the classics in clothing style that never dies.

Every now and then, fashion industry introduces an in-thing on wardrobe.  Vintage, retro, and rockabilly styles took most part of 1950s; Victorian and hippy clothes in 1960s; punks in 1970s; hip hops in 1980s and 1990s; and in 2000s, anything goes with a touch of futuristic and techno designs.

But no matter how these styles flooded every one’s closet, for women, the fervor for long skirt never fades.  In fashion runways, fashion designers and trend aficionados never miss those modish long skirts.  With all the styles and designs introduced, long skirts had overcome the tests of time over the passed centuries.  Women from all walks of life wore them in their own choice of fabrics and cuts, simply non-decorated or embroidered with sequins, beads, and laces.

Looking at different perspectives, women have implicit and obvious reasons for having long skirts their passion.

As apparel, long skirt is the most modest today.  Almost all types of clothing one can see in most women nowadays reveal delicate parts of the body, enticing something unethical and immoral thoughts and acts.  With long skirt, a woman can keep secret what must be kept in secret.

At present, long skirts are considered trendsetters.  But for people who have worn them first, they are for protection.  They wore them very long and loose-fitting.  It was not in 19th and 20th centuries only that long skirts were introduced.  Even women in the ancient times such as the Israelites, wore long skirts mainly for protection and obedience to a commandment given to them – not to wear clothing that are of men.

Long skirt is more than a fashion material.  It plays a vital role in gender identification.  Because its creation was primarily intended for women, it gives everybody an impression that someone wearing a long skirt is a woman.  Long skirts accentuate a woman’s femininity and help to easily distinguish a female from a male.

Women’s passion for long skirt is beyond fashion.  As long as a woman exists, there will be a trend for long skirts.

Marc Jacobs and I have always had a strange relationship. He was one of the first fashion designers that I really fell in love with. Maybe it was his always present grunge aesthetic that I always sensed. This collection he did for his diffusion line in Fall 2008 just blew me away. It was received luke warm by a lot of fashion journalists but I loved it.

He mixed a punk with the 80s in such a grown up way. The looks remind me of what I would wear to an 80s party. Try to mix it up a little! Go Punk! Go Marc!

I love the boots with the buckles and the zips. He really hit the nail on the head with the accessories this season.

The Battle of the “SOAP DISH” Yea! Man, this one is fun. Every country on the planet, how many countries are there? Is it 194? 204? Just as human beings this would be a good thing to know. I mean look at it this way, if you asked some extreme liberal pet owners who are constantly bleeding from the mouth about everything but what truly is important in Santa Monica, how to get to the 405 they would look west first (west is towards that large body of water often referred to as the pacific ocean) and say something like this. Also, these are natives of the Westside, here we go; “well, it’s not that way because the water is that way. I don’t think it’s down there either. I have just never seen a freeway down there. It could be up there. Now did you say Pacific Coast Highway? Oh, the 405 freeway… the 405, mmm, do you know what it’s called?” This is when the out of towner walks away and is feeling sorry for the person. The thing is all freeways have a number which most people go by; the 405, the 5, the 101, the 10… the 405 is called The San Diego Freeway. So this is how you tell a native of CA. And this same person who just sounded ditzy and harmless screamed at a homeless woman. I witnessed this. Check it out. The homeless woman was petting a dog tied to a parking meter. The dog was shy and was cowering down. The mouth bleeding no sense of direction pet owner woman comes storming out of boarders with about $100 worth of pastries, 8 bags of no caff, organic, locally grown, hand picked and foot crushed beans gutless wonder coffee and starts frantically untying her dog from the meter. The homeless woman who probably has not touched a living creature in a while but maybe a bug or a spider said very politely to the woman (this is freakin priceless b/c it is so Santa Monica. I hate Santa Monica and hope the entire town drops into the ocean. They do have the best cupcakes in the world there though, tough call) anyway, she politely says to the breeder bleeder; “I tried to pet your dog. He’s so shy and he’s beautiful” when Christine Columbus got in her face and raised her voice just short of yelling and said; he’s not shy, he hates people who smoke cigarettes!” then she stormed off. The homeless woman was priceless. She just smiled and said; “he’s still a pretty dog” Oh, I almost forgot what we were doing here. The battle of the Soap Dish and how many countries are in the world. For the 3rd time in my entire life I got something right. Cause for celebration! We don’t, who ever “we” is, we don’t count Taiwan as an official country so there are currently 194 countries in the world. This is kind of bull-shit though. Think about it. We don’t consider Taiwan as an “official” country but the Vatican is a country within Rome. It’s not a wonder that I got into the shi… the FashionLoo business Ok, the best soap dish in the world and the worst.
As usual, the Italians have “cleaned up” on the soap dish battle. Here it is…

Italian – aged brass bath soap dish

Yea, Yea, Yea... aged brass, Italian... so what! Now look at ours, USofA...

Because we were almost disqualified for our previous soap dish were given a one-time only replacement opportunity. I can assure you we didn’t go to the 0.99cent store this time, we went to “Soap Dish traveler de la Creme” where only the best, top-shelf only, optimum and finest plastic stuff is sold at a discount. I honestly felt in my heart of hearts that we would undisputedly walk away with the award for the first time ever.We got it alright, “FashionLoo, worst Loo accessories ever” award. Our fine Pop Culture item which was most difficult to locate loses to a rusty old tub soap dish that they call “aged brass from Italy” Who cares??? Ours is in a claw foot tub. It’s personal now. We are already designing our own accessories from this point forward. Surely we’ll be opening FashionLoo 3 ~ “Accessories; Personalize your Loo. After all, it is you”. Even the name is a hit. See what Europe has next week… Ha Ha Ha! I already smell success and can see gold going to the bank! We’re talking Cream de la Creme here and not creme brulee < burnt cream. So claw foot pop culture soap dish lost the battle, but not the war! Take a good long hard look at him…

I love this bathroom. Check it out… the windows are unique or at least rarely seen anymore. That sink I know goes for under $100, the colors are perfect and for this Loo a person couldn’t find better matching tones. Two things I will caution you about, the toilet handle is on the left side when looking at it. Eljer is made that way. They’re next to impossible to find. Now sitting on the toilet to TP is sticking out from the wall. Either a TP stand that you can move around or have the it inserted into the wall with copper casing. It would be perfect. I am a pain in the ass aren’t I I have a feeling this Loo is in the UK.

Love it! Side wall lamps, the colors blend really well, the floor looks awesome. The only thing is the toilet handle is on the left side. This may be an Eljer. Move forward with EXTREME caution people.

This Loo has awesome colors. nice dark blend then whoever tossed in the contrast with that trim of bright white. A little too contemporary for me but it still has a very nice look to it.

Yea, a mostly green kitchen is like some chick with hundreds of tatts not ever wondering what she’ll look like as grandma. Kitchens… they’re so overrated! And btw, The Brady Bunch just called and they want their kitchen back now!

One red apple in this pic would have made it a great shot.

The extremes between the two are quite disturbing. Why isn’t there a divider between the two in the… hell, I don’t know if it’s contemporary or retro. Without a divider, I cannot go. Not even open to discussion. Why isn’t the Peace Corp there? Now the other one I have an issue with as well. The chair to the right in the back is totally wrong for this Loo. No debates, not even the color can convince me it belongs with this bathroom. Whoever put it there really screwed up. I’ll bet you, that person put it there when they were setting up the photo equipment and didn’t notice. He/she should of went all the way like having Mickey sitting on Goofy’s lap during the shoot. Or maybe Pops drinking a hard one with a cigarette stops to watch after he’s been told ten times to stay out of view. Then it just so happens the shot they pick is the one where Pops is scratching his balls. Good continuity people are hard to find. I may go with the no divider, Turkish prison Loo. I’ll sleep on it. Anyone else?

They just quite didn't get everything in the DIY FashionLoo Remodeling class. No divider is grounds for... termination.

That chair in the back on the right is totally screwing this up. Two great FashionLoo's today but because of a couple of significant details they're both ruined. Great job team!
