I had the privileged this Fashion Night Out to attend the Fall Preview of their 2012 Collection.  As soon as you enter the outdoor event you were pleasantly greeted with a friendly smile and wine your choice of red or white. I am a white wine girl so I grabbed a glass and proceed to a seat back with my little super model in the making Asia.  After we chose a seat we walked over to the  hors d’oeuvre table. The view of the Atlanta skyline was divine the weather was beautiful.

I was pleasantly surprised that the store used friends and customers to model their new items. The women sashayed the outdoor runway while mingling with the crowd showing off each piece. I loved their energy and personality.  They really helped the audience see how the every day woman would wear the collection. The Fall Fashion collection included a lot of mix and match pieces. It also had different reversible pieces that I adored.

The inside store displays are visually stunning! Very creatively arrange for maximum flow from one end of the store to another. The staff was very pleasant and inviting they were ready serve.

American Homeless Veteran Foundation 2012 Celebrity Fashion Fundraising Gala

Attending this event was a two for one bonus for my husband and I. It was our four year dating anniversary and I really needed to get out and get inspired as a designer new to the area of Atlanta. I have been to many events around Atlanta claiming to be fashion shows but they were very amateur to say the least. I wasn’t hanging in the right circles to find out the best that Atlanta had to offer in the way of Fashion. So I joined another fashion group. This group has put me on to some of the hottest shows everywhere THE FASHION MOVEMENT on Facebook.   As a designer your need local inspiration and as a women you just need to get out of the house and be FABO-Lust!

American Homeless Veterans (AHVF) is committed to President Obama’s goal of eradicating homelessness among Veterans by 2015. This event was not just about glitz and glamour but @darrellbogan is committed to this initiative and events like these and more to help fund the cause.  He pulled one of our great Veteran’s who served our country for four years and came home to find herself and two children living out of their car with no place to go, up on stage.  Darrell awarded her a New Refrigerator and food to fill it for her new home they helped provide her with, after he announced this the audience poured out from their hearts and wallets. They begin to hand Darrell money, so much they had to get a separate bag to collect it . It was a moment of such awe it made me so proud to be a American!    This event was hosted by Markina Brown @CBSAtlMarkina fb.me/1z7VqfrBv one of the most Stylish Meteorologist I have ever seen. We tune in not for the weather but for her Daily Fashion Show. I felt like I was transported back to NY Fashion Week  @MBFashionWeek #MBFW . The Stage was draped in black the windows were draped in black the seating lined to perfection four rows on each side with gift bags for the front row elite. I forgot to tell you about the reception before the show hosted by Bombay Sapphire its was small and intimate two open bars with three signature drinks. I tried the cranberry & ginger-ale splash with Bombay Sapphire blue but since I’m not drinker I couldn’t get through it. They didn’t spare any expense on the dose of @BombaySapphire.  In fact they let you make your own. It was very fun and the bartenders were pleasant and inviting. Gorgeous ladies dressed in Aqua blue handed out tickets for more free drinks inside the show.

My pictures aren’t the best I had D-List seats (I haven’t worked my way or pocket book up to the front yet) they were only four rows back so I had a great view of the show. Many of Atlanta’s Finest were there but in my view sat

The show opened with a Flawless Jacket from my new Fashion Designer Crush Nicci Hou @niccihou and her Luccid Dreams collection. The tailoring of every garment was impeccable. The model danced along the stage for the opening act with every movement you could see the see the fabulous detail of the ruffled bell sleeve. It is every designers wish to send out a masterful and brilliant collection that awes the crowd and she achieved success twice because she closed the show with her Bad Romance Collection.

She will be showing at NY Fashion Week and I am not surprised because her work deserves center stage.

The Matrix – This trend gives me the freedom to express inspiration from one of my favorite Futuristic Fashion movies. All black, leather (faux), and minimal effort, this look wears itself you just need to add the attitude.  I would wear Alexander Wang and Michael Kors.

When creating my fall wardrobe I make a picture file of the items that I want to try from beauty to apparel. Fall piece come out in late July early August.  As I see the items I try them on and I start to plan my wardrobe. I try to buy the staples pieces at the end of fall heading into spring because they are up to 70% off. If you can build up a savings for your Fall/Winter wardrobe you can go on a spree. If not picture out the outfit you want to wear then sale hunt the items like a scavenger hunt and your prize is you get to where the whole outfit and blog about the whole experience.
