Its been a while since I posted anything and I know I promised to be more frequent, but I’ve been super busy, horrible excuses aside  let’s get straight to the point.

Today I will feature two lovely girls that I met recently, I just love their style and felt that I should share it with you guys. They have the most colorful style and a personality to match!! Meet Shezane and Natasha…

A pair of lovely with style to die for, i love the print of their skirts, they are absolutely gorgeous!! I could do nothing to contain myself.

Oh and the back of shezane’s dress, lace and cut off, too much beauty in one picture, I’ll let the rest of the images speak for themselves, because you know a picture is worth a thousand words

Internet meet Natasha!!

I just adore this look, especially how she chose to accessorize, with bright and bold jewellery, and the denim shirt just pulls the look together. I give her  full stars , wonderful choice of wardrobe, wonderful choice of accessories, being young this just oozed youth and joy. you cant help but smile back.

Shezane’s minimalist approach was beautiful, her dress was beyond gorgeous and i love that she chose simple accessories to accompany it. the satchel bag was a good choice as it gave the look that “POP” appeal.

As for Shezane, her outfit was both daring and conservative, and i loved it! She’d paired it with a leather biker jacket (not pictured), i love the look it was absolutely gorgeous (if i hadn”t said that before).

So today’s post was going to be my very first real attempt at an OOTD, but let’s just say it did not work out, anyway here’s a post about johari that’s been laying around in my drafts for ages enjoy

Johari is a Kenyan fashion house that uses African print and vibrant colours in their designs. Johari was set up by the Johari foundation as a non profit social enterprise, with 100% of the profit made used to support the programmes of the Miale Community in Kenya.

Meaning “something precious” in Swahili, Johari is a social enterprise that not only produces exquisite hand crafted jewellery but creates opportunities for vulnerable young women in Kenya- so that they can build a living for themselves and their families.

The materials for their designs are locally sourced and handcrafted in Kenya. The Johari pieces are an imprint of the Masai culture, as the designs are traditionally African yet with a modern twist and commercially appealling as they are wearable unlike many designer items. Every piece of clothing and jewellery tells a story within its prints, design and colour.

The simplicity,is what attracted me to Johari. The traditional patterns and prints are beautifully fused with avid bright colours. With the pieces in darker colours like in their Spring/ Summer 2010 collection, the African imagery lives on.

The clothes and jewellery are very practical. With a mantra, “Beauty with a reason”.

to be fair everything she wore the entire season was crazy, beautiful and tasteful. i know this piece is a bit late, but here it is finally.

HIJAB! any scarf that matches any colour included in  the kaftan of choice can be worn or just plain black, BUT i suggest you wear a coloured one since the rest of the outfit is black…

I suggest sticking to the chunky bangles,as they just pull it all together  or a cocktail ring

I am in LOVE! The Jawaher Collection, by Swarovski Elements is “the latest initiative for the fashion connoisseur in the Middle East.. using crystal as a creative material to show a light fueled allure”. The exhibition took place in London in late October and ran until November 1st.

The collection communicates the sheer elegance,class - and love for bling - depictive of the fashion scene of the Gulf. The jewlery is beautiful, the photos – inspirational, and the initiative is not only encouraging to a hijabi fashion blogger like myself, but so pleasing as the prominence of fashion in the arab world expands and is recognized.

now lets get down to business

the first piece which is a base for both styles is this deep-purple jumpsuit:

i just love the wide-legged style, its just very comfortable, and the colour just exudes elegance….

now we move on to the next statement piece, the shoes

i find the zip detailing to be absolutely gorgeous,( i don’t know exactly who they are by)but if you could find a pair just like it or even close to it the better for you

NON-HIJABI

in addition to the above i found these beautiful Swarovski elements earring and a gold Russian dome ring from style thirteen to go with it:

these two are enough “bling” according to me but you could always use more jewellery pieces…

for a look with bangles you could wear studs…for example these gold plated amethyst purple butterfly studded earrings, from soobest.com

THE HIJABI LOOK

Of course on top the staple pieces  i.e the jumpsuit and shoes…i thought of adding this adorable black boyfriend blazer from LC Lauren Conrad.

first of all i would like to start by saying, i love everything Amanda wore in this movie, its girly but looms on the dark side  as wel, plus her fiery red bob, added the extra “umph!”  to the whole  look. fantastic outfits and am about to show you why.

Dark midnight blue and black party dress with black stilettos this look is fantastic for any fancy event you may be going to, or even a night out on the town, the shades of dark colours  are very classy and simple to pull off..

One of my favourite dresses in the whole film! Dark red, blue, orange and purple peter pan collared velvet dress with heeled boots and sheer black tights:) This is an awesome party look but if you throw it together with a cardigan and old military boots you’ll transform this into more of a daytime look. switch out the sheer tights for leggings for a more covered look.
