I accomplished a lot today. At least more than the rest of all the other days combined. I was able to cook veggie burgers. And that’s an achievement because I have been wanting to repeat that recipe ever since I invented last month. I upgraded it a bit though and added corn ships, tortillas, pumpkin seeds and oatmeal bran for a more protein packed burger

I was also able to finish the book that mommy gave me yesterday. Financial literacy IS important
And I am glad to have read such a powerful book. The next tasks that I set upon myself include writing a book review about it.

1. I was also able to finish watching ‘fast and furious’ which I think is HORRIBLE TITLE considering this is the fourth installment in the franchise. Scriptwriters, what were you thinking?

Right now I am thinking of how to spruce up my dinner because I decided to stay in and save the 50 pesos for fare and who knows what else if I go out. I need to save and invest my money. Where? You ask
THAT is the question that I need to think about SOON. And of course I need to have a source of income so I would HAVE something to invest and hence have an exponential income. Bonds, mutual funds, the whole bit

My name is Robert Farago, and I used to modify my ride. Back in the day, I couldn’t afford what I really wanted to drive: a Dino. (A Pinto station wagon is about as far as you can get from a Dino whilst remaining in the same solar system that’s home to planet Earth.) So I spent my hard-earned money on  Pirelli P3s. And sway bars. And God knows what. OK, a Nachamichi tape deck. Then, when I saved-up enough for a Mazda RX4, I swapped out the gearbox for the RX3’s more aggressive unit. And again. And again. RX7? Rear ribbed metal thingie over the hatch and numerous performance mods to the suspension, tires, wheels, engine and so on. Somewhere along the line I realized that no matter what I did to my car, it screwed-up something else. The manufacture spent millions achieving the perfect balance of ride comfort handling, reliability, cost, etc. Why did I think I could do better? I couldn’t. So I stopped. Whilst Mehta recovers from his coronary to pen a suitable rip-post, I’ll say this to enhance his experience: the only thing worse than a ridiculously modified car is its owner.

Sure, modded motors are an expression of the owners’ individuality. The best of the breed require tremendous mechanical skills and a vivid imagination. I admire hot rods and kit cars and race-modified cars and scissor-doored Toyotas. Truth be told, I’d give my left testicle for a RUF Porsche. And thank God we live in a free country, where car owners with little to no taste can sink billions of dollars into an endeavor which has about as much social utility as cigar smoking. Seriously. The American economy needs you! Party on Dudes.

But please don’t ask me to admire that shit. That’s what really grinds my gears. The other day, I was filling-up with high test, when a fart-canned Honda Accord with a giant wing zizzed-up next to me. As I said, fair enough. But then Sunglass Man smirked at my GL and literally patted his modified sedan. Puh-lease. At least when I was an jerk I wasn’t an jerk about it.

At the end of the proverbial English day, I’d prefer to see a well-loved example of a bone stock ride than something that’s been taken seriously sideways. Speaking of bone stock, a heavily modded car is like a T-shirt with the word “Hung” on it. Even it’s true, it’s proof positive that it doesn’t always pay to advertise. If you know what I mean.

Yesterday, I got my History midterm back and passed with a B!!! History is my absolute WORST subject and I hated it before I went to this class but I can’t believe that I actually got a B. *daybrightener!* Fell asleep watching Fast and Furious. Only good movie on the tele last night. What the hell did I do before… oh yeah. Went skating and learned my first jump – The Bunny Hop. It feels ridiculous but I guess you gotta start somewhere, right? I can’t land on my toepick for some reason… hm. I’ll try again today. Going skating with Joe [flamer that showed me the Jessica and Hunter videos... bffl!] after class today. Should be fun.. been waiting to skate with someone for a while so I’m super excited :3

The Cars and Trucks In Fast and Furious 4 Movie

Making a car racing film like “Fast and Furious” is not that easy to make. It requires great knowledge in cars, engines, and many other stuff related to it.

Cars in movies are expendable. They’re not respected, not worth preserving, nowhere near cherished, disposable, subject to abuse, and constantly thrashed. It doesn’t matter if the cars are Ferraris or Ford Crown Vics or any other expensive cars, the job of any vehicle in a movie is to tell the story effectively — even if it must be destroyed in order to do so.

Some of us will think if all the cars shown in the movie are real or just a clone. Well, watch this video and check which among those cars that you’ve seen in “Fast and Furious” movie were real and which are not.

I was lying down on the couch with a fever and all I wanted was cheese and crackers and deli meat. Every bowl of shredded cheese brought out didn’t have a good texture or taste so I couldn’t eat it. I was watching this weird indian movie that was a combination of Fast and Furious and Baghban. The movie’s name was Subhadra [which is my aunt's name]. Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachan were in it and my aunt was commenting on how young Amitabh looked or something.

[This dream took place 5 minutes ago when I was taking a nap next to my aunt and brother. They hadn't started watching an Indian movie when I was asleep and I could have sworn that when I woke up, they would be watching the movie I dreamed. I've never dreamed in a different language before.. but it had subtitles so it's okay. *thumbs up* Before I took a nap, I passed out on the stairs and now I'm missing my first exam for my PED116 class which I only have once a week.  Well bury me alive and shit on my grave. This sucks. ]

If they cast Vin Diesel in Christopher Lambert’s role, this film is headed towards a dead end. Didn’t he learn from Chronicles of Riddick?

I love the original Highlander. Christopher Lambert’s Scottish / French accent. Sean Connery as a Spanish Egyptian with a Sean Connery Accent and Clancy Brown as the awesome Kurgan. A perfect mix for any film involving sword fighting immortals. Then there were sequels but we don’t talk about them in these parts.

Now the news is out that there will be a reboot / remake of the original film which is really cool. Then you read they want the people behind Fast and Furious to make it which is not so cool. Fast cars and immortals are a tad different. Does this mean Paul Walker and Vin Diesel will be taking over the original parts. Dear Supreme Being of your choice I hope not.

Los Angeles, CA September 22, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that it has tapped the filmmaking team behind this spring’s hit film FAST & FURIOUS – director Justin Lin and producer Neal H. Moritz – to direct and produce respectively the studio’s re-imagination of the cult film HIGHLANDER. Summit’s HIGHLANDER is being written by IRON MAN screenwriters Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Peter Davis, long time producer of HIGHLANDER, will also produce the film. Summit acquired the rights to remake the cult classic from Davis – Panzer Productions, Inc. in May of 2008.

Summit’s film will expand on the original HIGHLANDER’s core mythology of immortals battling amongst us, hunting each other through the ages by tapping its newly minted creative team to take its re-imagination to new heights. Plans call for the re-imagination to spur a new franchise for the studio.

I found this walk around video on youtube of a 1993 Mazda RX7 with a Veilside wide body kit. I mean the car looks completely different and for the better I think. We have seen this body kit before, know from where? Anyone? Anyone? That’s right this kit belonged to Han from the Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift movie. In the movie the car was black and orange, I’m sure you remember now.

La Raza. On Tuesday, August 25 at a news conference at Beso Restaurant, NCLR President and CEO Janet Murguia and Executive Producer Eva Longoria revealed that there will be 11 actors and 8 actresses competing for Best Actor and Best Actress.

Among those vying for Best Actor of the Year title are “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” leading man Javier Bardem, “Two Lovers” star Joaquin Phoenix and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” actor Ramon Rodriguez. Meanwhile, the actresses receiving nominations include Cameron Diaz, Eva Mendes, Michelle Rodriguez, Penelope Cruz and Rosario Dawson.

Beside the performers in motion pictures, a number of film crew also get a shot at winning Behind the Scenes honor. “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” director Kenny Ortega, “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” helmer Guillermo del Toro, “Twilight” make-up artist Jeanne Van Phue and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” cinematographer Claudio Miranda are among them.

The larger number of nominees for each category is part of the significant format change for this year’s ALMA Awards. “If you like the ALMA Awards, you will love this year’s show because we’re bringing you more of what you love most, unique musical pairings and the best Latino entertainment,” Murguia shared on the changes.

The 2009 ALMA Awards will be taped on September 17 at the Royce Hall Auditorium at UCLA and aired on ABC Television Network the next day, September 18 from 8:00 to 10:00 P.M. ET/PT. Eva Longoria will co-host with George Lopez. To give special honors to Salma Hayek and Oscar De La Hoya, and special tribute to the late Ricardo Montalban, ALMA also honors the best in television, music and sports television.
