Vampire Weekend!

Im pretty stoked, because I’m going to see one of my favorite bands with Miss Morgan tomorrow, VAMPIRE WEEKEND!! Ok, yes, they are kinda hipster, and apparently it’s the in thing to hate on hipsters. But whatevs, if you wanna dress like a hipster, and still put out awesome tunes, well, just do what you gotta do. I saw them a few years ago, after they released their first album, at the 930 Club (which, if you’ve never been, is always a good time!) They put on a great show, and I hope they are able to do the same at Merriweather Post Pavillion tomorrow. Ive seen some great performers there, and VW has A LOT to live up to. I expect I will come home with an excellent addition to add to my concert tee collection. I was rockin’ this tee before Jonah Hill made it cool in Funny People (although, mine has blue text). Below is a video of my favorite song of their “new” album, Contra.

And here are some pictures from the concert at the 930 Club. I unfortunately wont be this close next time. But maybe I will be able to enjoy the show a little bit more as I wont be throwin’ ‘bows trying to keep my spot, and wont be worrying about getting really good photos. Enjoy!

Kings of Leon @ Merriweather Post Pavillion

I’m off to see Kings of Leon tonight!!!! Michaela and I came into the tickets kinda last minute thanks to Jimmy, and so we are foresaking sleep and professionalism to go. I’m totally stoked since its their US Tour 2009 kick off. And with the rain that is undoubtedly coming, I’m pretty excited to be under the pavillion! I’ll post photos (hopefully I can get some good ones!!) and a review later this week!!!

So you might remember back in May where in this post, and this post I waxed on and on about how much I love Kings of Leon. Well, here it is August, I’ve been listening to them pretty much non-stop, and I STILL LOVE THEM!!! So I figured that after three months, I would definitely know what my favorite songs are. And therefore I will depart this information upon you, and it is up to you to go forth and obtain so you can be as cool as the rest of us KOL fans. (Hint: if you go to the Songs of the Week post, some of them are available there )

More exciting news, I may be able to go to the concert in MD on 9/8. Hopefully the wifey can manip the work schedule so she can go!
