<p>My little blog. How you have grown.</p>
<p>Do you remember the time we had together when I worked in Singapore? And I was lonely, away from home and I had you to keep me company? I&#8217;m sorry I neglected you then. I&#8217;m sorry I never really got a chance to tell you about all the interesting, diverse food culture Singapore had to offer. Did you know that Singapore has the most food bloggers per capita in the world? You should have been one of the shining ones, but work required 60+ hours a week from me. It was hard.</p>
<p>But this year, I made up for it, didn&#8217;t I? We made Melbourne our home. Again, for me. You, for the first time.</p>
<p>When we, you and I, moved back to Melbourne, you neglected, me bored and unemployed. I started cooking and I wrote to you about it. Remember the <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/04/22/fig-mozzarella-ham-and-rocket-salad/">Fig, Mozzarella and Rocket Salad</a>? That post started our big Melbourne journey together. Remember how I got given a whole bunch of fresh figs from Nana&#8217;s tree? Throughout May and June (when I wasn&#8217;t busy going places), I started telling you about <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/category/food-review-japan/">Josh and my honeymoon trip to Japan</a>, even some about<a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/category/food-review-singapore/"> Singapore</a> and snippets of my travelling around South East Asia especially<a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/category/food-review-malaysia/"> Malaysia</a>. I&#8217;m sad though, that I never told you much about Thailand, my home. We will need to fix that.</p>
<p>Over the few, but productive months that I also took you to <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/07/21/red-centre-trip-cooking-in-alice-springs/">Central Australia</a>. I started working again in July (enough travelling)  and that was when I could afford to take you out to <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/food-reviews/">all the fabulous eating places Melbourne had to offer</a>. Remember my silly drunken review of <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/11/18/melbourne-food-review-cafe-vue-cocktail-night-cbd/">Cafe Vue cocktail night</a>? And the fabulous <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/25/melbourne-food-revie-maha-bar-grill-bond-st/">Maha</a>, <a href="/2009/08/11/melbourne-food-review-bar-lourinha-little-collins-st-city/">Bar Lourinha</a> and <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/11/21/melbourne-food-review-sichuan-dining-room-hawthorn/">SiChuan Dining Room</a> with all its chilli glory. And <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/05/31/melbourne-food-review-coopers-inn/">Coopers Inn</a> &#8211; where I had my 21st birthday the rerun. And Tempura Hajime? Who could forget <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/melbourne-food-review-tempura-hajime-south-melbourne/">Tempura Hajime</a>? Fresh plump scallops stuffed with uni. Droolworthy. Not to mention the dingy little Thai place, <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/16/melbourne-food-review-me-dee-thai-restaurant-springvale/">Me Dee Thai</a>,  in Springvale that does proper Thai food and the infamous <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/08/01/melbourne-food-review-pelligrinis-espresso-bar-city/">Pellegrini&#8217;s Espresso Bar</a>. I still have lots to tell you. I haven&#8217;t even told you about my eternal Melbourne favourites: the Cellar Bar for its charming Italian heart, Mitsuno for its wonderous &#8216;Japanese-inspired&#8217; cuisine. I haven&#8217;t even told you about Bombay By Night properly and how much we love these places. But I will.</p>
<p>I experimented a lot too. I made all sorts of interesting food. What about my seafood craze? The <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/17/steamed-blue-swimmer-crabs-with-thai-seafood-sauce/">simple steamed blue swimmers</a>? My first perfect <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/21/spaghetti-con-vongole-spaghetti-with-clam-sauce/">spaghetti con vongole</a>? <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/10/18/nicoise-salad-with-seared-tuna-my-way/">Nicoise salad with seared lemon &#38; thyme tuna</a>? The <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/13/seafood-paella/">paella</a>? What about the roasts? <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/24/roast-beef-and-yorkshire-puddings/">Beef with Yorkshire pudd</a>, <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/09/06/roast-pork-roast-veggies-real-gravy-and-apple-sauce/">pork with apple sauce</a>, <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/05/10/mothers-day-roast-roast-lamb-with-rosemary-and-garlic/">lamb with rosemary and garlic</a>, <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/05/04/roast-chicken-with-real-gravy-and-roast-vegetables/">chicken with fabulous gravy</a>. Not to mention the <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/10/25/spaghetti-with-asparagus-broccoli-lemon-and-shallot/">greenie spaghetti with asparagus, lemon and shallot</a> that I made up after being inspired by the farmers&#8217; market (we do love our <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/11/07/pictures-from-boroondara-farmers-market/">farmers&#8217; market</a>, don&#8217;t we?) and<a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/07/30/best-lasagna-in-the-world/"> Joshua&#8217;s best lasagna in the world</a>.</p>
<p>Josh has been making lots of Thai food lately. I&#8217;m so proud of him.</p>
<p>Have I ever told you this little fact: people on the internet are by far most interested in <a href="http://spatulaspoonandsaturday.wordpress.com/2009/06/03/how-to-boil-an-egg-in-the-microwave/">how to boil an egg in a microwave</a>. It&#8217;s so strange that every months, hundreds of people from all over the world learn how to boil eggs on Spatula, Spoon and Saturday. One of those mysterious things in life, I suppose.</p>
<p>We have many years of posts ahead of us. I have asked the lovely Tara who is a talented graphic designer, and with my old web development skills, we will give you a brand new face. Not that you need it. You are already beautiful  but you do deserve a unique, new face. It will take time. But I will work on it.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, I still have lots to tell you about food. Hear me out. Don&#8217;t get bored of me yet.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;">The makie is a crafting technique from old days in Japan for more than a thousand and several hundreds years ago.<br />
Use an urushi lacquer as an adhesive and sprinkle pure gold powders, pure gold leaves, silver powders complete it as a picture on a various adornment, therefore called maki-e(sprinkled-picture).The makie was refined over time and became the gorgeous art, craft peculiar to Japan.<br />
To make the highest grade makie, heap up the picture pattern with the urushi lacquer or the charcoal powders and draw the picture pattern again with the urushi lacquer as an adhesive and sprinkle gold powders on top and draw with the urushi lacquer more, then polish up the picture pattern.<br />
By repeating such process many times, the makie has the picture pattern with gorgeous delicate three-dimensional impression.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;">The contrast between the warm moist skin touch of the urushi lacquer and the cold feeling of gold and silver creates a marvelous harmony of the makie.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">1. <span style="color:#ff00ff;">Kebanyakan wanita tidak bisa menghasilkan ASI yang cukup.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Hampir semua wanita menghasilkan ASI lebih dari cukup, bahkan sering kali timbul permasalahan seputar pasokan ASI yang terlalu berlebihan. Seorang bayi yang kenaikan berat badannya lambat, atau bahkan cenderung mengalami kehilangan berat badan, seringkali bukan disebabkan karena ibunya tidak cukup menghasilkan ASI, tetapi bayi tersebut tidak berhasil untuk mengeluarkan dan minum ASI yang dihasilkan oleh ibunya tersebut. Biasanya, hal ini disebabkan oleh pelekatan — yaitu posisi mulut bayi pada payudara ibu — yang kurang tepat. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting bagi seorang ibu baru untuk segera, pada hari pertama kelahiran, dipandu untuk melakukan pelekatan secara benar oleh seseorang yang benar-benar mengerti mengenai teknik pelekatan yang tepat.<br />
2. Normal kok kalau payudara/puting terasa sakit pada saat kita sedang menyusui.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Walaupun bukan sesuatu hal yang aneh jika pada hari-hari pertama menyusui seorang ibu akan merasa sedikit kurang nyaman pada payudaranya, tapi kondisi ini seharusnya hanya berlangsung selama beberapa hari saja, dan tidak boleh menjadi sedemikian parahnya sehingga seorang ibu menjadi takut untuk menyusui bayinya. Rasa sakit yang amat sangat pada puting ketika sedang menyusui menandakan bahwa bayi belum sempurna pelekatannya. Sakit atau lecet pada puting yang berlangsung selama lebih dari 3-4 hari tidak boleh diabaikan, harus dicari tahu penyebabnya. Membatasi waktu menyusu pada payudara juga bukan merupakan cara yang tepat untuk mencegah timbulnya puting lecet. Usahakan agar tindakan mengistirahatkan payudara dan puting sakit sebagai solusi yang terakhir.<br />
3. 3-4 hari setelah kelahiran bayi, ASI memang belum (cukup) keluar.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Seringkali memang nampak seperti demikian keadaannya karena posisi pelekatan bayi belum sempurna sehingga bayi tidak berhasil untuk minum ASI yang tersedia dalam payudara ibunya. Pada saat belum banyak ASI yang tersedia (memang normalnya demikianlah keadaannya untuk beberapa hari pertama), posisi pelekatan bayi harus sempurna sehingga bayi dapat mengeluarkan dan minum ASI dari payudara ibunya. Kalau tidak, maka sering terjadi “…tapi dia sudah menyusu selama 2 jam, kenapa yak kok masih lapar…”. Ketika pelekatan belum sempurna, bayi tidak dapat minum ASI pertama yang dihasilkan oleh ibunya, yaitu kolostrum. Siapapun yang menyarankan anda untuk memerah/memompa ASI anda untuk mengetahui berapa banyak kolostrum yang dihasilkan jelas tidak memiliki pengetahuan laktasi, dan sebaiknya abaikan saja sarannya. Ketika pasokan ASI ibu menjadi banyak, kadangkala bayi tetap dapat minum ASI walaupun pelekatannya kurang baik.<br />
4. Bayi harus menyusu pada setiap payudara masing-masing selama 20 (10, 15, 7.6) menit.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Namun demikian, harus dipastikan bahwa bayi tidak sekedar “ngempeng” pada payudara tapi benar-benar “minum” dari payudara. Apabila ternyata seorang bayi sudah berhasil minum ASI selama 15-20 menit dari satu payudara, kemungkinan besar dia tidak mau lagi minum dari payudara yang lainnya. Kalau dia hanya minum selama satu menit pada satu payudara, kemudian mengisap sebentar-sebentar atau bahkan jatuh tertidur, selanjutnya hal yang sama juga terjadi pada payudara yang lainnya, maka besar kemungkinan bayi akan tetap lapar. Seorang bayi akan menyusu dengan lebih baik, lebih efektif dan lebih lama apabila pelekatan mulut bayi pada payudara ibu telah benar.<br />
5. Bayi ASI membutuhkan tambahan cairan air putih ketika cuaca sedang panas.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! ASI mengandung seluruh cairan (air) yang dibutuhkan oleh bayi.<br />
6. Bayi ASI perlu tambahan asupan vitamin D.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Semua orang butuh vitamin D. Produsen susu formula memang menambahkannya pada produk mereka. Namun, bayi lahir dengan lever yang penuh dengan vitamin D, serta kebiasaan menjemur bayi setiap pagi juga membantu dia mendapatkan tambahan vitamin D melalui sinar ultra violet. Vitamin D sifatnya larut dalam lemak dan dapat disimpan oleh tubuh. Dalam keadaan tertentu, misalnya ketika ibunya sendiri ternyata menderita kekurangan vitamin D, maka memberikan tambahan suplemen vitamin D kepada bayi bisa dianggap perlu.<br />
7. Seorang ibu harus mencuci putingnya setiap kali sebelum mulai menyusui.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Pemberian susu formula kepada seorang bayi memang harus sangat memperhatikan faktor-faktor kebersihan, karena susu formula merupakan tempat yang baik untuk berkembang biak-nya bakteri dan juga rentan terhadap kontaminasi. Membersihkan/mencuci puting malah akan menghilangkan minyak-minyak alami yang melindungi puting dari resiko lecet karena puting kering.<br />
8. Dengan memompa/memerah ASI, seorang ibu bisa tahu berapa banyak ASI yang dihasilkan olehnya.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Seberapa banyak ASI yang berhasil diperah/dipompa tergantung pada banyak sekali faktor, termasuk tingkat stres seorang ibu. Seorang bayi yang menyusu dengan benar bisa mengeluarkan ASI dari payudara ibunya jauh lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan jumlah ASI yang berhasil diperah/dipompa oleh ibunya sendiri. Jumlah ASI yang berhasil diperah/dipompa hanya bisa menjadi indikator terhadap seberapa banyak ASI yang bisa anda perah/pompa, bukan sebagai tolak ukur atas jumlah ASI yang bisa anda produksi secara keseluruhan.<br />
9. ASI tidak cukup mengandung zat besi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan bayi.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! ASI mengandung zat besi dalam jumlah yang tepat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan bayi. Apabila bayi lahir cukup bulan, maka zat besi yang terdapat didalam ASI bisa memenuhi kebutuhannya sekurangnya untuk 6 bulan pertama. Susu formula mengandung terlalu banyak zat besi, dan zat besi yang ditambahkan dalam susu formula tersebut sangat sedikit yang terserap oleh usus bayi, sehinga sebagian besar kemudian dikeluarkan kembali lewat BAB bayi.<br />
10. Lebih gampang memberikan susu dengan botol dibandingkan bila menyusui secara langsung.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Namun demikian, seringkali proses menyusui menjadi sulit karena para ibu tidak mendapatkan bantuan praktis yang diperlukan pada saat pertama kali mulai menyusui bayinya. Suatu awal yang buruk memang dapat membuat proses menyusui menjadi sulit. Tetapi, kesulitan tersebut tentunya dapat diatasi. Kadangkala menyusui pada awalnya memang dirasakan sulit karena ibu tidak mendapatkan bantuan yang diperlukan sehingga timbul berbagai kesulitan. Namun, seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, berbagai kesulitan tersebut dapat diatasi dan menyusui menjadi semakin mudah.<br />
11. Menyusui membuat ibu tidak bebas beraktivitas.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Tergantung bagaimana anda memandangnya. Seorang bayi dapat disusui dimana saja, kapan saja sehingga sebenarnya lebih membebaskan bagi sang ibu. Tidak perlu menggotong segala macam peralatan pembuatan susu formula kemana-mana. Tidak perlu cemas memikirkan dimana dapat menghangatkan susu formula tersebut. Tidak perlu khawatir kesterilan proses pembuatan susu formula tersebut. Dan yang terpenting, ASI tetap dapat diperah/dipompa apabila ibu memang harus meninggalkan bayi dirumah.<br />
12. Tidak ada cara untuk mengetahui seberapa banyak ASI yang diminum oleh bayi.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Memang tidak ada cara yang mudah untuk mengukur seberapa banyak ASI yang dikonsumsi oleh bayi, tetapi bukan berarti anda tidak bisa tahu apakah bayi anda cukup mendapatkan ASI. Pastikan bahwa posisi badan bayi pada saat sedang menyusu, serta pelekatan mulut bayi pada payudara ibu telah benar sehingga bayi dapat MINUM ASI dan bukan hanya ngempeng. Bayi BAK minimal 5-6 kali dalam sehari, dan selesai sendiri menyusunya dengan cara melepaskan sendiri dari payudara ibu. Bayi tampak, tenang, kenyang dan tidak rewel ketika selesai menyusu, dan setiap bulan ada kenaikan BB bayi yang wajar.<br />
13. Dewasa ini, susu formula hampir sama kandungannya dengan ASI.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Pernyataan bahwa susu formula sama kandungannya dengan ASI juga sudah pernah dipropagandakan produsen susu formula pada tahun 1900-an, bahkan jauh sebelumnya. Susu formula masa kini cenderung disama-samakan kandungannya dengan ASI, walau sebenarnya tidak. Setiap kandungan yang tidak terdapat dalam susu formula (tetapi terdapat dalam ASI) diputarbalikkan oleh produsen susu formula dan dianggap sebagai suatu nilai lebih. Intinya adalah, susu formula sama sekali berbeda dengan ASI, susu formula berusaha menyamakan diri dengan ASI walau dibuat berdasarkan pengetahuan yang sempit dan tidak menyeluruh tentang apa kandungan ASI sebenarnya. Susu formula tidak mengandung zat antibodi atau kekebalan tubuh, sel-sel hidup, enzim-enzim, dan tidak mengandung hormon. Dibandingkan ASI, susu formula mengandung lebih banyak zat aluminium, mangan, cadmium (sejenis logam berat), lead (sejenis timah hitam) dan zat besi. Susu formula juga mengandung jauh lebih banyak protein dibandingkan ASI. Kandungan protein dan lemak yang terdapat dalam susu formula juga berbeda dengan yang terdapat dalam ASI. Kandungan susu formula tidak berubah dari periode awal menyusui hingga akhir, dari hari pertama ke hari ketujuh ke hari ketigapuluh, dari satu ibu ke ibu lainnya, dari satu bayi ke bayi lainnya. ASI dibuat khusus hanya untuk bayi ANDA. Susu formula dibuat dan disamaratakan untuk semua bayi. Susu formula hanya mampu membuat bayi menjadi gendut, tetapi bayi tidak mendapatkan kandungan nutrisi dan zat gizi lainnya yang dibutuhkan, yang semuanya terdapat dalam ASI.<br />
14. Apabila seorang ibu menderita penyakit infeksi, maka dia harus berhenti menyusui.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Menyusui justru malah akan membuat bayi lebih tahan terhadap infeksi, dengan sedikit sekali pengecualian. Pada saat sang ibu mengalami demam (atau batuk, muntah, diare, ruam, dsb), sang ibu sudah menularkan infeksi tersebut ke bayinya jauh sebelum ibu tahu bahwa ibu sedang menderita sakit. Perlindungan terbaik bagi bayi yang mengalami infeksi adalah ASI. Apabila bayi menjadi ikutan sakit, maka bayi akan lebih cepat pulih bila bayi tetap mendapatkan ASI. Selain itu, mungkin saja sebenarnya sang bayi lah yang menderita infeksi dan menularkannya kepada ibunya, tetapi bayi tidak menunjukkan tanda-tanda sakit karena bayi terus minum ASI. Juga, infeksi payudara, termasuk di dalamnya rasa sakit dan pembengkakan pada payudara, bukan merupkan alasan untuk ibu berhenti menyusui. Bahkan, infeksi payudara akan cepat pulih apabila sang ibu terus menyusui, terutama menyusui dengan payudara yang sedang sakit.<br />
15. Apabila bayi menderita diare atau muntah-muntah, maka ibu harus berhenti menyusui.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Obat yang paling mujarab untuk infeksi saluran pencernaan bayi adalah ASI. Hentikan segala macam jenis asupan lainnya untuk sementara waktu, tetapi lanjutkan pemberian ASI-nya. ASI satu-satunya cairan yang dibutuhkan oleh bayi ketika dia sedang diare dan/atau muntah-muntah, kecuali dalam kasus tertentu yang sifatnya luar biasa. Bayi merasa lebih nyaman ketika sedang menyusu, ibu merasa lebih tenang ketika sedang menyusui.<br />
16. Apabila seorang ibu sedang mengkonsumsi obat-obatan, maka dia harus berhenti menyusui.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Hanya sedikit sekali jenis obat-obatan yang tidak aman untuk dikonsumsi selagi ibu sedang menyusui. Apabil ibu sedang minum obat, maka ASI akan mengandung sedikit sekali obat-obatan yang sedang diminum ibu tersebut. Walau begitu, apabila Anda cenderung takut untuk minum obat selama menyusui, ada baiknya Anda mencari obat alternatif yang lebih alami.<br />
17. Seorang ibu yang sedang menyusui harus sangat memperhatikan jenis makanan yang dikonsumsinya.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Seorang ibu yang menyusui memang sebaiknya mengkonsumsi jenis makanan yang mengadung gizi seimbang, tetapi tidak perlu mengkonsumsi jenis makanan tertentu atau bahkan menghindari beberapa jenis makanan. Seorang ibu yang menyusui tidak perlu minum susu untuk dapat menghasilkan susu. Seorang ibu yang menyusui sebaiknya mengkonsumsi makanan yang sehat dan bergizi. Namun, apabila terdapat riwayat alergi di keluarga, misalnya alergi seafood dan alergi susu sapi, maka ibu menyusui perlu lebih hati-hati dalam mengkonsumsi jenis-jenis makanan tersebut.<br />
18. Seorang ibu yang sedang menyusui harus banyak makan untuk dapat memproduksi ASI yang cukup.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Seorang ibu mampu memproduksi ASI secara cukup, kecuali apabila seorang ibu masuk ke kategori sangat kurang gizi untuk periode yang cukup lama. Umumnya, bayi akan mendapatkan ASI sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Banyak ibu yang khawatir apabila ia tidak banyak makan maka akan mempengaruhi produksi ASInya. Sebetulnya tidak perlu kuatir. Banyak / tidaknya makanan yang dikonsumsi ibu tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas maupun kuantitas ASI. Ada ibu yang makan lebih banyak selama menyusui, ada yang makan lebih sedikit, dua-duanya sah-sah saja dan tidak mempengaruhi ASI. Seorang ibu boleh saja makan makanan dengan gizi seimbang sesuai dengan seleranya.<br />
19. Seorang ibu yang sedang menyusui harus minum banyak cairan.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Seorang ibu seharusnya minum sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan rasa hausnya. Ada beberapa ibu-ibu menyusui yang selalu merasa haus ketika sedang menyusui, namun ada juga yang tidak. Jangan terpaku pada ketentuan bahwa harus minum sekian gelas air per hari.<br />
20. Seorang ibu perokok sebaiknya memang tidak menyusui.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ff00ff;"> TIDAK BENAR! Seorang ibu yang tidak bisa berhenti merokok seharusnya tetap menyusui bayinya. Penelitian telah membuktikan bahwa ASI menurunkan resiko efek sampingan yang secara negatif ditimbulkan oleh asap rokok, seperti penyakit paru-paru pada bayi. Memang akan jauh lebih baik apabila ibu tidak merokok, namun jika ibu tidak bisa berhenti merokok, maka lebih baik ibu merokok dan menyusui daripada ibu merokok tapi memberikan susu formula kepada bayi. </span></p>

Firstly, there is the fact that you do not have to spend time searching or typing in a lot of website addresses because your only one click removed from your favourite sites. Secondly, the bookmarks can be stored on a website suitable for it so you can open them anywhere. Finally, you are able to see how other tagged there bookmarks and share common interest and websites.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0 0 10pt;"><span style="font-size:small;"><span style="font-family:Calibri;">There are not many things that I can find wrong about bookmarking. However, there are a few downsides on bookmarking. For instance, if you only bookmark on your own pc you get lost as soon as you use another one and also if you do save them online but the site crashes. In fact, I believe that people sometimes do not even remember to go to some sites because they always used the bookmark technique. On another point, there is the fact that sometimes you are interested in let say old movies but you do not want others to know that. Your bookmarks can tell on you.<br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>a bit of my whereabouts and doings: for the past few days, i went to lumut to attend a fabrication review to one of the company&#8217;s project. it had been a wonderful time where i learned a lot of things, technical and human interactions. going there with my boss also is a new experience. its not that hard to please your boss, and get to know them personally, since there are human too. the perception that boss is scary and strict and bossy is a negative perception that may hinder you from doing well in your job.</p>
<p>at the end of the trip, i stopped by at beloved uni and met few old friends. thanks plato, otai and most special ones, m****m (the identity cannot be disclosed for safety reason haha) for hospitalizing me there. driving back to kl in total downpour was something too. ya lah, raining season kan. rain everywhere, so please drive carefully (haha takde kaitan).</p>
<p>the saturday night was closed up with a carol at e-curve. what a nice movie. the christmas carol. i definitely going to watch it again, this time with a pair of 3D glasses. my expectation of the movie was high, and yet it meets. spending time with <a href="http://missjewelz.wordpress.com/">her</a> was superb too. long chat, catching up each others life stories and awesome dinner really make my night. soo sorry to <a href="http://diaskrusaya.blogspot.com/">him</a>, i cant make it to his house since the movie ends at 2.30 and its not really nice to crash into someone&#8217;s gate in the middle of the night.</p>

<p>and my cold sunday morning (supposedly should sleep until lunch time) was greeted by the meows of my deary cats. pity them. they had been sick for the past 2 weeks, and i think i had dine my best to make them return healthy. i found a lot of vomits in their cages, and their leftovers which is supposed to be hard and black, are gravy and green. i dont know what can i do next. fareez&#8217;s theory: they are stress because being caged too long, so i&#8217;ll try to free them for few days and lets see if there is changes.</p>
<p>i am seeking your helps dear readers, how to get back my healthy, active kitties. i suspected that the vets that diagnosed them gave wrong meds, or maybe the cat food we gave them is expired.</p>
<p>advise please.</p>

<p>Oh my god, I am so stoked about this place. I have read John Lethlean&#8217;s reviews on Epicure (<a href="http://www.theage.com.au/news/epicure/enter-the-dragon/2008/01/31/1201714146706.html">review 1</a> &#38; <a href="http://www.theage.com.au/news/restaurant-reviews/sichuan-dining-room/2008/06/17/1213468378795.html">review 2</a>) and in both reviews he stressed about how interesting the menu is so we decided to give it a go one (very) late Saturday lunch.</p>

<p>From the outside, the restaurant looks just like any other suburban Chinese restaurant (which was why we&#8217;d never been) but the dining room was large and spacious (I guess it also helped there only three tables were taken up) but the inside was rather nicely decked out. We, of course, have a TV playing Hong Kong movie in the corner (you&#8217;d need that).</p>

I was so excited at how interesting the menu is. I have never even heard and or read about many of the items. So, with that in mind, please don&#8217;t think too badly of me that I ordered four dishes between the two of us.<!--more--></p>

<p style="text-align:left;">The first &#8216;entree&#8217; was pickled wood ear mushrooms and chilli. Personally I object to it being called fungus because that just kills the dish&#8217;s appeal. The vinegar smell was very strong but strangely enough it didn&#8217;t really taste very vinegary at all. It was rather salty. I can&#8217;t say I liked it very much but at least I have tried something new. I still remember my former boss Sila&#8217;s reaction a few years back when she came across woodears &#8216;Ewww!!! It looks like ears! I can&#8217;t eat that!&#8217;</p>

<p>We had to order the &#8216;devilled chicken.&#8217; It didn&#8217;t really matter that it was probably the only dish in the menu we had heard of. Let&#8217;s face it, why wouldn&#8217;t you order the dish that had more chilli and Szechuan peppercorn in it than the chicken? It was awesome. The chicken pieces were well flavoured and the Szechuan pepper numbed my tongue. The sensation was just unbelievable. Sure I have had this gong bao dish before but it was never as intense and delicious as this one.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">John Lethlean mentioned this dish in his review. I love anything coated in the salted egg yolk and deep fried and I have had a few dishes with it before (mainly pork, chicken or prawn) but I have never heard of it being done with corn kernels. A basket of it came (i.e. a lot of food) with a bit of sprinkles on top. I didn&#8217;t really quite get the idea of the sprinkles on top but that didn&#8217;t bother me.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">The corn kernels were yummy. It was piping hot and crunchy with sandy, salty egg yolk &#8216;batter&#8217;. It was the best thing since sliced bread. I swear if they sell this at the cinema instead of pop corn, I would be in heaven. The corn used, I suspect, was frozen corn kernels. I was actually expecting tinned corn and was pleasantly surprised. Yum.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">I was forewarned by the picture menu that the &#8216;noodle&#8217; in this dish wouldn&#8217;t exactly be noodles but I was still mildly surprised when these bubbling claypot of bright green cubes showed up. This dish presented itself a little bit later than the rest and by then I had sufficiently assaulted my poor tongue with the previous dishes (it was numb). I found this dish to be rather hot.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">The &#8216;noodle&#8217;, I believe them to be jelly cubes made from mung bean &#8211; so for those of you who are familiar with the mung bean product, it wasn&#8217;t so different. It was semi crunchy and chewy. The sauce was the typical Sichuan feel, hot and salty. I brought most of it home as it was just too much food. And I feel bad for not doing it justice at the restaurant.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">The food here carried that very typical Szechuan flavours &#8211; the hot, the spicy, the salty and the oily. I loved it. It wasn&#8217;t toned down for the Australian palate and there was no chilli rating. You just order it and hope that you are strong enough for it. It was hot and gutsy and I loved it for that. Oh yeah, did I mention I loved it? Josh did too.</p>

The waiters were incredibly nice and professional (a rare find in a suburban restaurant, I tell you). The food was so incredibly interesting and honestly good. Handsome and richly decorated dining room. And cheap. Did you notice how cheap the dishes were?</p>

The Gloucester River Falls on the Gloucester River of course, are located within the Gloucester Tops section of the Barrington Tops National Park in New South Wales, Australia. This area is my favourite spot in New South Wales.</font></p>
<p align="justify"><font size="3" face="Calibri">Over the next week I hope to post photos of this area – not just the falls, but the surrounding area as well. I hope you enjoy them.</font></p>

<p>Last week my baby girl KJ came to town. So where&#8217;s better than taking her to the most fabulous cocktail event in town?* Nowhere! The Cafe Vue** Cocktail Night is hosted weekly on a Friday. For $75 over the space of 3 hours, you get the most fabulous cocktails and matching degustation plates from Vue. Bargain, I say!</p>

<p>The night started at about 7.30pm when the first cocktail was served (yes, they ran a bit late) and concluded at around 11pm (we left at 10.30 because we were starving) when people cleared off. So you&#8217;ll understand, I&#8217;m sure, the degradation of the picture quality due to lack of lighting and sobriety.</p>

<p>Our very first cocktail was called Cytrus Pegu, which was Belvedere vodka with err&#8230; lots of citrusy, orangey things done to it. The lovely waitstaff did announce every course and explained the logic of each make up of each cocktail. Suffice to say, they thought about it a lot. And we drank a lot. So I&#8217;m really sorry I can&#8217;t tell you more. What I remembered though was the lemon curd that lined the glass. It was so yummy I attempted to lick it clean. This lovely this little cocktail was served with a perfect little scallop served with buttery linguine and cucumber. Yum. But then we were starving. A tip: get some food in you first. The 5 courses served there were just not sufficient.</p>

<p>Our second cocktail of the night was by far the winning horse &#8211; the apple and chilli martini. But it wasn&#8217;t a normal apple &#38; chilli martini, no, no. They started with 50% alcohol vodka and steep all the yummy flavouring fruits: apple, pear and chilli. It was intensely apple. It was intensely pear. And it was intensely chilli. No, it wasn&#8217;t hot at all. But it did taste every bit chilli. No only that, they attempted to turn it into a frozen cocktail by freezing it with liquid nitrogen rather than blending in ice (cos that would be too easy and &#8216;we would lose too much alcohol concentration&#8217;) so as delicious sounding as that sounds, it was lethal at about 50% alcohol. But oh my god it was yummy. They also topped it with deseeded chilli and a slice of dehydrated apple.<!--more--></p>

<p>To go with the fabulous cocktail, we were served rainbow trout sashimi, smoked salmon mousse and crouton. It was quite good too but when you were enthralled with such a fabulous cocktail, this took the back seat. The poor thing.</p>

<p>Our next up was a pretty little thing called &#8216;Balsam Sling.&#8217; To be perfectly honest, I couldn&#8217;t remember anything other than cranberry juice and vodka (naturally). By now, I have realised that three full strength cocktails are wayyyyy too much for little lightweight me. So I began to off load this to Jacqui, who was the champ for the night. KJ who is even more lightweight than me, had begun to palm off most of her cocktails since cocktail number two to Jacqui.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">It was served out of this whipping implement thingie &#8211; the kind they use to whip cream? Sorry he did tell told what it was called but remember the previous 50% alcohol cocktail? Me neither.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">This was, in essence, a toasted sandwich. Cafe Vue is rather well known for their toasted sandwich and waffle &#8211; they make it an art form. As far as toasted sandwich goes, this one was rather good. But it was definitely the most welcome dish because it seemed the most filling so far. Maya doesn&#8217;t eat pork and they forgot and served us four servings anyway so I scored the spare. Maya got something with tuna instead. I was too drunk and Maya was too hungry for photos to be taken. I asked why it was called &#8216;waffle&#8217; and the waiter had mentioned &#8216;artistic license.&#8217; Too drunk to argue.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">This was the black raspberry julep. Vodka, obviously. Raspberry stuff. And mint. Let me describe a little bit of my physical condition to you, I had the most terrible hay fever but this point and together with the cocktails, it rendered my nose entirely useless. I couldn&#8217;t smell a thing (or taste a thing) But guess what? I could taste the mint and the raspberry in every sip that I took, which was three. I gave up after three because I know I would totally be sick in the toilet, which would have required me to walk through the lovely Bistro Vue, past all the lovely rich people dining there and through to their lovely toilet. So no. That wouldn&#8217;t do! I palmed off the rest to Maya, while KJ palmed hers off after one sip to Jacqui. What a champ.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">The little platter served with the raspberry julep was comprised of ewe&#8217;s milk cheese (French and strong, and at the right temperature), almond biscotti (yes they called it toast) with raspberry jelly, and cherry and fennel salad. They were all really yummy especially the salad. But again, having my nose not working full well, I can&#8217;t rave more about it. I would have otherwise, I&#8217;m sure. But I have to consider the possibility that we were absolutely starving as well. And yes, I was too drunk to notice the flash wasn&#8217;t on. I have a little point and shoot. So yes, flash is sometimes mandatory for me. Stop turning your nose up at me, SLR-ers!</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Unlike the other courses, our dessert arrived first. It was called textures of pistachio. I only vaguely remember one blob to be cold, sweet thingie with almond in it. The other blob was not as cold but much sweeter. The green crunchy bits were sugary pistachio. Yeah. Did you expect a better description? Bad luck!</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Our last cocktail felt like a bit of a disappointment as everyone was looking forward to it. Description went something along the line of vodka with steeped vanilla seeds and dark chocolate. It was topped off with a cherry that had been submerged in Kirsch, which tasted seriously strong and it was the only thing on the night that tasted seriously strong. I do have a flashed picture but the fact of the matter is, it wasn&#8217;t a pretty looking cocktail (that was probably why it was served at 10.30) it was kinda dark muddy brownish with a bit of red. Not pretty. It tasted too sweet to me. None of us liked it very much &#8211; and all everyone could think about was dinner/supper at this point.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">So we sauntered off to the only placed that seemed to be open at 11pm. Your Thai. I know. Believe me it went down hill from there as we eventually ended up at Charltons. So you know what I mean when I said down hill.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">So I guess the question on everyone&#8217;s mind would be: was it worth it? Paying $75 for cocktails you couldn&#8217;t drink half of and food that still left you hungry? My answer is a resounding &#8216;Hells yeah!&#8217; We loved it. I&#8217;m going back and I&#8217;m taking Jacqui with me. What a champ.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">I also ran into Fergei from <a href="http://whatiatelastnite.blogspot.com/">What I Ate Last Night</a>. We both noticed each other taking photos and she asked a lovely waiter whether I ran a blog and the lovely waiter came up and asked me. So I ran up and drunkenly introduced myself. Seriously, I hope I wasn&#8217;t being too embarrassing because I really can&#8217;t recall what I said to her.</p>
