As Yvonne states “This message is normal when running the fax server on a Windows 7, 2008 or Vista system. This is because of a security restriction in Windows that does not allow the service to directly interact with the desktop, so the fax server needs to switch to application mode when you open the user interface of the fax server.” Click here to visit her page for more Fax related info.

$ sudo aptitude install efax

$ lspci

Saving paper is just one benefit of signing up for unique toll free phone service features. Toll free service has become a necessity for successful businesses, organizations, and not-for-profits. According to reports, 98% of Americans use toll free numbers regularly. Businesses can see increases of as much as 600 percent if an advertisement includes a 1-800 number. Toll free numbers increase market reach, enhance customer confidence, establish recognition of brand image, and sustain businesses during times of a weak economy.

(Nov 4)

I kind of hate the idea of a ‘virtual’ journal – because I really love the idea of paper and pen (or ribbon). Still, this might end up working out. Two redeeming things about the prospect: the way word processing allows for a unique kind of elasticity in editing; how the screen is effectively made of light. The first thing makes really literal that line Nancy takes up that I’m so interested in, about writing leaving no trace of its drafts (as contrasted to painting – which I’m especially interested in - where the materiality necessarily retains everything, paint as packrat). And I do love the idea of real traces (fax machines! A fax diary?) and of following what trains of thoughts get scratched out (strikethroughs like graffiti tags – maybe…). But that can be so overwhelming, too much for those of us who aren’t even sure that we want our trains followed – or get so paranoid about the followers that the prospect derails us.
The other point is about the screen. It’s upsetting to me to not have actual ink on a page but Hockney’s comments justifying his iphone paintings are comforting: “the images always look better on the screen than on the page. After all, this is a medium of pure light, not ink or pigment, if anything more akin to a stained glass window than an illustration on paper”. A medium of pure light! It’s hard to think about even the dark text as light, but it must be, otherwise I would have the words in shadow all over my face as I type this. Although – isn’t there a level on which this happens? If we had extremely developed perception, could we tell what was on a screen by the face looking at it? I mean not by the expression in response, but by the patterns of light and colour (as if the two were independent; faces going blue from tv screens vs. breath-holding).

Sandra Rodrigues of America Forever

With their constant spewing against the LGBT community, they have now become virtually one of the biggest PRO LGBT groups around! With every other anti-LGBT and anti- human rights group like the Sutherland Institute (Paul Mero) and Eagle Forum (Gayle Ruzicka) just wishing they’d shut up and go away.

Earlier this week at the now infamous City Council meeting in Salt Lake City, which ended with a unanimous vote to provide Fair Workplace and Housing laws for LGBT citizens, America Forever leaders like Sandra Rodrigues decided that showing naivete would be the best road to take. Their rants included stories about the “little old lady” who rents out her basement and would be forced to rent to “the gays” who would make out in front of her grandchildren, and the small business owner who would have his employees “acting all gay” around him. Unfortunately for America Forever, both grandma and any business under 15 employees are actually exempt under these ordinances, but hey.. technicality right?

Times were when America Forever could be counted on to show up at every opportunity with their 12′ by 4′ signs shouting “shame on the gays,” but we haven’t seen them for a while! Where have they been? Well apparently Sandra Rodrigues, chief kook of the kooks, was called in to her bishop a month or so ago and asked to stop being so public because it was making the church look bad!

Now that the LDS church publicly endorsed the fair workplace and housing ordinances in Salt Lake City, the Rodrigues clan is none-too-happy with the Mormon leadership. Below is their flyer that they faxed to 80,000 people and businesses this week. My response? Keep up the good work kooks!

Nancy Pelosi, the Botox Bolshevik Bimbo herself, succeeded in strong-arming just enough of the democ

Nancy Pelosi, the Botox Bolshevik Bimbo herself, succeeded in strong-arming just enough of the democrat representatives, plus one traitorous republican Joseph Cao of Louisiana, into selling America into slavery.

I encourage you, and as many people as you can stir into action, to fax, write, call, and e-mail these deluded anti-Americans their “pink slips.” They need to know that if we are in their district, we will vote against them. They need to know that if we don’t live in their district that we will donate money to their challengers, work for their opponent’s campaign, make phone calls, put up signs, e-mail people, and do ANYTHING within our power to ensure that their tenure in Washington is OVER. They also need to know that we are not doing this ALONE. We MUST do this as a united front to sweep these people from office. If we don’t, we are finished. Their power will be complete, the districts will be restructured to elect who THEY want, and nothing that we say will matter in the slightest anymore (not that it matters much to them now).

Our last line of defense protecting us from total tyranny now is the senate. We must PREEMPTIVELY do the same with them as I mentioned above. If cooler heads do not prevail, and this sprint towards communism and the indentured servitude of all Americans isn’t stopped, I fear that the consequences for America will be violent and bloody.

Why do I say this? I hear things. Ask yourself how much will you let your government take from you before you snap? They tax away so much of your income that you can’t make your house payment, can’t afford to buy enough food to eat every day of the week, get your car repossessed because you can’t make that payment, and can’t send your kids to college, how will you react? When you’re sick, or worse you’re children are sick and there is a 3 week to 1 month wait to see a doctor, what will you do? Two weeks into the wait for that doctor visit, your child has pneumonia, can’t breath, is turning blue, yet you can’t see a doctor, what will you do? Is there a point at which enough of your liberty has been taken from you that you will actually get mad enough to forcefully try to get it back, or die trying? Nearly every day I hear people who UNDERSTAND liberty discussing that very question. These are things that probably haven’t been discussed by rational people in this country since the 1700’s. This is a scary time. Again, I must be clear that I am NOT advocating any sort of revolution or violence. I’m just telling you what I hear. People are scared. The “American Way” is about to be destroyed, and some of us aren’t ready to see that happen.

That is why I’m BEGGING you to do everything you can to help staunch the political bleeding and help convince our elected officials to act rationally. They can’t continue to spend and tax the way they are while also destroying the economic engine that makes tax revenue available. They can’t continue to destroy the lives and freedom of Americans and assume that there will be no consequence. Most importantly, they can’t do all of this to us and be excluded from the repercussions.

Below is a chart from The Liberty Counsel that compares where several of the various health care bills stand on hot button issues. So far, ALL of the democrat proposed versions STINK ON ICE. You be the judge. Do you like the idea of paying penalties for not buying the government mandated insurance? Do you think it’s fair that illegal aliens won’t have to pay that penalty? Do you like the idea of the national health care identification cards? Sounds kind of like the mark of the beast to me. Do you like the fact that EVERY VERSION THUS FAR calls for RATIONING OF HEALTH CARE? If none of this seems to bother you, then take the blue pill and go back to sleep.

After their album “Feel Good Hits of a Nuclear Winter”, not being as sucessful as hoped,

After their album “Feel Good Hits of a Nuclear Winter”, not being as sucessful as hoped, they decided to release the EP “Fax of Death”, proving only very slightly more popular than their debut, still managing to draw in new fans with the post nu-rave feel they’re going for. Hailing from London (but these guys have Italians and Nigerians in their band…) their sound is different from the generic Libertines vibe we get from Londoner bands that have been popping up recently.

Marginally different from the album, “Fax of Death” sees Laurel Collective choose a more upbeat feel, what defines “more upbeat” would be the synthesisters and the smoother, less grizzly approach to vocals. In the song “Fax of Death”, it sounds like a mesh of Vampire Weekend, Dutch Uncles, and regrettably Elliot Minor on one half of the vocals. That’s not exactly a good thing, as I’m pretty certain that isn’t the sound they were going for. On “Window” we hear a similarity to band the Ghost Frequency (RIP). Perhaps not the vocals, but definitely the overall sound is similar to that of theirs, as well as the old Hadouken! tracks.

The EP hasn’t necessarily been a hit yet, but I’m feeling a re-release in the near future when they’re a bit more well known and gigged a bit more to get the name around town would get them positive results. I hope to hear more of these lads.
