okay i was really hoping to sleep by 130am but i was packing up my work area and i figured i wanted to take a couple shots of what i did yesterday so that you’ll have something happy to look at today! :)

i’m totally in love with the new bottlecap designs i came up with… i can’t pick a favourite!

the “too weird to live, too rare to die” one is totally LOVE! i am very sure i’m gonna make that one into a ring! : ) the quote was by the late Hunter S. Thompson.

Yesterday I cut some daffodils from what seems like hundreds lining the driveway. They were a pleasant surprise when they popped up a couple weeks ago. Someone who lived here before us was a serious gardener. Today just felt so much more like spring, not only is it the first day of April but it’s so much warmer. I experimented with sewing a few little birds that are potential Mother’s Day gifts.

Here are a few in purplish-blue felted wool.

Here they are in different light looking a little closer to their true color.

I think so far I prefer the floral.

Felt birdies have arrived just in time for spring! Hopefully spring is just around the corner, even though the snow keeps coming. These little birdies are knitted from 100% merino wool and then felted. All of the felt birds are hand-sewn and possess a cute button on their wing and a ribbon for hanging. Each Bird measures 6.5″W X 2.5″H. All three birds are placed in one of my hand knitted bowls and this one happens to be green for spring, yay! Birdies are super cute and would brighten any room!
