Hello, all. Beteen here.

Apologies for the long absence of posts everyone!

Shale has been unable to post recently and I’ve been dealing with some annoying account troubles for Clone Wars Adventures. I now have some free time so…

Here’s what’s been confirmed about Felucia and what comes with it!

NEW ABILITIES: We will have Tier 2 Abilities, for example, if you’re a Sith Lord half way or more through your battle class then you will have a Tier 2 Ability unlocked. A Tier 2 Ability is an improved version of an ability, meaning more damage (and hopefully) more range

CHARACTER STATS: Once you get half way through your battle rank your health and damage will increase substantially, making enemies in previous combat zones weak compared to you (1 shot K.O anyone?)

SARLAAC PIT: Oh what a beautiful sight…

FRIENDLY NPCS:

Boss (Special Operations Brigade)

Captain Rex (501st)

Kix (501st)

ENEMIES:

That’s all for now!

Stay tuned, and may the force be with you!

Howdy there! It’s Shale here back with some more news about the game. As announced at SOE Live

Howdy there!

It’s Shale here back with some more news about the game. As announced at SOE Live 2012, (formerly Fan Faire) the developers will be releasing two new combat zones in the future and more. Two of the confirmed combat zones are the plant-world of Felucia and the watery-world of Kamino. Right now the developers are focusing on the Felucia combat zone, Clone Wars Adventures Developer ‘Mourde’ says that this will be the hardest combat zone yet and people who haven’t leveled their battle class yet to max level may have a little trouble half way through. According to rumors/facts on the forums, they will be introducing the following to the new combat zone.

Mission Terminals

Sarlaac Pit

Separatist Outpost

(Remember that some of these may be true and some of them may not be, I haven’t seen any confirmation from the developers yet)

Mourde also tweeted about the Felucia Combat Zone stating the following messages,

#CloneWarsAdventures players – Felucia is gonna be pretty cool.

— Justin Dazet (@JustinDazet) February 14, 2013

@amnerys_fan Nope, not yet. I can’t give you an exact release date yet… but less than three months.

— Justin Dazet (@JustinDazet) February 14, 2013

Just sent out some #CloneWarsAdventures screens of new combat zone for approval. If the Dark Side doesn’t interfere they’ll be up next week!

— Justin Dazet (@JustinDazet) March 2, 2013

What do you think about the Felucia Combat Zone? Also, regarding the new Day/Light addition to the game, Mourde posted a thread on the forums talking about a new Day/Light function that would be added to Coruscant. He replied around two times saying that they will be released at the end of March and they are currently testing with another game’s Day/Light function, also that they will be planning to add the Day/Light function to other planets in the game later.

What do you think of the news overall? Post some feedback and i’ll try to reply!

Felucia: After a fierce space battle, followed by a massive troop landing, the supporters of the former warlord Maroth lost the control of the planet Felucia. The troops of the Warlord Reezo now set out to control the planet, finishing the last pockets of resistance and caring of the prisoners. Parts of the planet remain damaged by the combat.

Warlord Reezo took the control few time ago over the Warlord Maroth, which the fate is yet unknown. The worshipers of Maroth following the Warlord Hastega refused the new master and the war sparkled between the two faction. Even if Reezo has most of the troops and the equipment, the rebels have a better technology. Reezo won the battle after he was able to gather two fleets and concentrate more firepower than its opponent.

General Darth Tempest and a Consortium Alliance lieutenant with her troops

The victory is as much symbolic than it is military, the Great Hall of Felucia is the home of the Consortium Alliance since generations. Even if they have to give up the planet, the troops of Hastega still remain a danger. Their fleet may not match Reezo’s they are still able to damage the supply lines. According to the combatants the civil war will continue as long as the leaders are still alive.

photo credit: starwars.com The Clone Wars gets ever closer to the 3 part Season Finale with the most

The Clone Wars gets ever closer to the 3 part Season Finale with the most recent episode, Bounty Hunters. Here’s the breakdown:

After crash landing on Felucia, Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka come across a village in peril. A pirate gang has been raiding their precious supply of nysillin crop. In an effort to curb the piracy, the peaceful villagers have hired a group of mercenary bounty hunters to protect them. The Jedi are faced with the decision to help the villagers or continue on their way; however, the stakes are raised when the pirate leader reveals himself to be the Jedi’s old nemesis, Hondo Ohnaka.

The Monkey: This episode took all of my complaints from the last few episodes and fixed them all. The plot actually made sense; the Jedi weren’t on a random mercy mission that paled in comparison to the larger war (as many episodes do have them do). Instead, they are stranded, having no choice but to stay and become involved. There was a sufficient mix of plot, character and action. The return of Hondo helped tie the episode to the rest of the series, and a familiar face is always nice to see. And best of all, they didn’t kill him off! Frustrated with Admiral Trench’s untimely demise, I was worried this episode would follow suit, killing off an interesting character that continues to have potential. I was pleasantly surprised; Hondo lives to fight (and appear in future episodes) another day!

The animation continues to impress on The Clone Wars. Felucia was beautifully animated (reminding me of the wonderful Felucia levels in The Force Unleashed video game). Production designs were great on this episode as well, with a new Vulture Droid docking station showcased, as well as some nifty ejector seats.

What I loved most about the episode was it truly fit the bill for what the creators have preached from the beginning – that The Clone Wars episodes are mini-movies. But few of the episodes have really lived up to this. Bounty Hunters was the perfect example of the “mini-movie” concept. It truly felt like a feature length film condensed into 20 minutes. Perhaps it was the montage scenes of the villagers learning to fight, perhaps it was the whole “bounty hunters and Jedi unite” plot line, but the episode worked!

In only a few minutes, the viewer is attached to the band of bounty hunters, invested in the villagers’ plight. Sugi is strong and likable, a great counterpoint to the stereotypical bounty hunter, a stereotype even Obi-Wan must overcome. Embo’s fighting style has garnered sufficient buzz and for good reason; his unique “hat tricks” added something new and never-before-seen to The Clone Wars. And Seripas was a wonderfully designed droid fighter, with an even more likable “interior.” The fact that this episode was able to introduce these new characters so quickly – and actually make the viewer care about them – is a testament to the strength of the script and the deftness of the direction.

Last note: I really enjoyed the heightened violence of the episode. The bounty hunters showed the pirates no mercy, smashing them into electric fences, brutally shooting them off speeder bikes. While it wasn’t over the top or gratuitous, it was exciting to see some killer action after a string of less-than-great episodes.

The Weasel: What happened to Rumi Paramita? The hooded Frenk bounty hunter was the least present of the bounty hunter gang. She was wounded during the fight and did not appear at the end of the episode…did she die? If so, why is it totally glossed over? Sugi and the others hardly pay it any mind; when Embo got hurt, it was a great, dramatic moment…why leave Rumi out? I thought this was odd, even a bit callus.

While not really a negative point, I was hoping Anakin would cut the bothersome Kowakian monkey-lizard in half! (He made a swipe for it, but Hondo intervened). Maybe it would have been a bit too much, even for one of the more violent episodes…

Best episode of Season 2 so far…can’t wait for the last few episodes!
