Okay so… I know that everyone likes preparing for Christmas in August.

I am so not good a this, because the year I bought everything in advance I misplaced all my gifts.

So, I still need to shop… but when I go to stores and see countdown clocks I feel a bit like this:

Am I the only one who really dislikes countdowns to holidays? I mean they make me so nervous:

The best part about this is that this dude’s got his own website and YouTube channel. While the kazoo and the ukele might not be sexy, dude makes it work.

[Chris] wanted a guitar with a keyboard but didn’t want a keytar. Like any good hacker he took a cheap guitar and a small keyboard and introduced them to each other. He moved the control knobs to make room for the keyboard and added the control circuitry from the keyboard to the top of the guitar’s body. A 9v battery is used to power the keys and something called “Chris Collins’ transformer trick” is used to amplify its sound. If you know details on this transformer, leave a comment and we’ll update the post. Take a look at the video after the break to see [Chris] perform the Final Countdown on keys and guitar.

The guitar is a Chinese made Telecaster clone and we think he’s the first one to find a realistic use for keyboards that don’t use full-sized keys. [Chris] apologizes for the lack of build photos but we give him a pass; he lost his phone while crowd-surfing and that’s as good an excuse as any for losing some pictures. We can’t wait to see another performance with this gnarly axe once he’s had enough practice to pull everything together!

Ora, se c’è una cosa che mi piace della musica, è che è apprezzata da tutti. Dopo aver visto questo video non ne sono più tanto sicura… credo che al termine di queste immagini gli unici concetti che rimarranno nella mente degli utenti saranno: tortura, dolore, sofferenza e altro dolore.

Gli Europe si stanno contorcendo dal dolore, le mie orecchie sanguinano e tutto questo perchè un gruppo di pischelli ha deciso di usare la pianolina bontempi che ha ricevuto per Natale ed infliggere al mondo la cover più brutta di sempre.

Dopo questo video il final countdown (il conto alla rovescia finale) non avrà più un suono tanto minaccioso e comincierà ad accarezzarvi  l’idea che la pace dei sensi è preferibile alla tempesta di emozioni.

I seriously feel like CNN’s reporting of Obama’s first 100 days and then his second one hundred days is a final countdown.  No other president was so scrutinized by the media. Although at the same time no other president has used the media so much and so effectively at the same time.  It just scares me to hear numbers that sound like a countdown associated with Obama.  What do you think about this?

Quick check-in on Microsoft’s latest marketing efforts. While “cute kids” typically send me running in the other direction, this one is working for me.

I mean, child’s into unicorns and Europe, and I can relate to that.

Es sieht so aus, als habe das Sabotage-Team, das welcher Konkurrent auch immer in die Microsoft-Werbeabteilung eingeschleust hat, eine harte, aber erfolgreiche Woche hinter sich.

Ja, das mit der prOn-Werbung war schon gut, aber dass sie es zuguterletzt auch noch geschafft haben, den vielleicht ekligsten Song aus den 80-ern in den neuen Windows7-Werbeclip einzuschleusen – Respekt.“We’ re leaving together, but still it’s farewell, and maybe we’ll come back, to earth, who can tell?” – na, wem da nicht noch mehr als zwei  Jahrzehnte später das Haargel vor Schrecken gefriert, der muss schon abgebrüht oder stocktaub sein.

Richtig – mit dem finalen Countdown wird das neue OS angekündigt, und das einzige, was da Trost spendet, ist, dass man nicht auch noch das Gejaule der Mattenträger, die das Werk verbrochen haben, hören muss.
