Just ordered Sayuri Sugawara’s new single from Play-Asia, “Kimi Ga Irukara”. You might remember her as the singer for the Final Fantasy XIII’s theme song. I mentioned about her in my previous post.

She’s a talented singer and she’s really lucky to be chosen by Square-Enix by making her song to be Final Fantasy XIII’s theme song. She will be really famous in the future, as there’s FFXIII’s advertisements everywhere in Japan.

So as you can see, Square-Enix promoting FFXIII in Japan, is helping Sayuri as well. Was surprised at first that they didn’t chose a more famous singer like what they always do (Utada Hikaru, Koda Kumi, etc), since this is their biggest game yet. But it’s all fine as long as the song is nice ^^

And omgz it’s like 5am now already, gotta hit the sack now, nights people!

Today the official website for Final Fantasy XIII updated again with the content seen in the latest scans. Most notably are 2 new areas: Mount Yaschas and Pulse fal’Cie (which doesn’t really sound like a name.). Furthermore the last chapters of Final Fantasy XIII’s novel were added and the Original Soundtrack is featured in the Special section.

Especially note that Lake Bilge is not yet listed in the “Field” section. Lake Bilge is a crystallized area seen in many trailers and according to the press who were able to play it in private at GC last August, it was a gorgeous, special place similar to FFX’s Mount Gagazet and Lake Macalania.

We’ve seen this area in important story sequences like the end of the Extended ACC trailer where Lightning hits Snow (my header). I think that this place will is very important and might even be featured in the (possible) English demo version.

A Sony realizou eventos em Tokyo, Osaka e Nagoya, com vários PS3 e PSP à disposição do público para experimentar os novos jogos das plataformas. Eu? Eu fui no de Nagoya, que é pertinho. Cheguei no local uma hora antes do negócio terminar, e não peguei nenhuma fila. O mundo é dos espertos!

Claro que, por ter chegado tarde, eu joguei poucos jogos. Pra falar a verdade só tinha uns 10, 11 jogos sendo demonstrados. Joguei 3: Final Fantasy XIII, Kidou Senshi Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT PLUS e Gran Turismo.

Primeiro eu joguei Final Fantasy XIII. Eu sou fã de FF, de todos os FF principais eu só não tenho o 2 (terminei só o 3 e o 7 apesar disso). À primeira vista o jogo é bacana. Mas querem saber de uma coisa? Eu acho que não compraria um PS3 por causa desse jogo. Acho que eu tô ficando de saco cheio dos personagens do Tetsuya Nomura. Olha o cara aqui do lado. Tenho a impressão de tê-lo visto em Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. O jogo em si parece bom, mas vendo de perto o Odin em uma tela grande pela primeira vez me fez rir muito jogando. Tem um videozinho com este que vos fala jogando um pouco. Tá no fim do post. O vídeo pára até um staff do evento avisar que é proibido filmar. Quem diabos inventou esse negócio de proibir filmagens de demos de jogos? Coisa mais besta.

Eu não gosto de batalhas muito complicadas. Talvez seja por isso que eu prefira gastar um bom tempo jogando Pokémon ou Dragon Quest. Principalmente quando o negócio é travado que nem FF, já que você tem que esperar uma maldita barrinha de tempo encher para finalmente poder atacar. Acho isso ridículo, “Bããã, enquanto a barrinha não enche eu não posso atacar, então tenho que ficar esperando aqui que nem um bobo”. Fãs do active system podem xingar à vontade. Bem, isso é o de menos quando a história é pelo menos intrigante. Eu gostei pacas do FF7! Detestei o FF8! FF12 tem uma história muito interessante, mas o jogo em si é chato pacas. E FF13? Como todos sabem, os gráficos de FF13 são magníficos. Claro que não era tudo o que foi revelado nas primeiras vezes, mas é de fato um jogo muito bonito. Pra falar a verdade eu não sei nada da história ou sobre o perfil dos personagens, realmente nunca dei muita bola para o jogo. Mas me deu uma pontinha de curiosidade pra saber do que se trata. Não que eu vá comprar um PS3 por causa disso. Espero que a versão do Xbox 360 será região livre. Já que não vai sair por aqui no Japão mesmo!

Gundam vs. Gundam NEXT PLUS é a conversão do arcade de mesmo nome, menos PLUS. Aliás, menos plus é ótimo. Eu nunca joguei nada de Gundam vs. Gundam, então a primeira impressão que me ficou é de que o jogo é uma zona. Vai ver porque era o demo e eu não tava com saco pra saber como o jogo funcionava de fato. Mas a batalha entre os Gundams por mais que seja uma zona me fez querer o jogo. Fãzaço de Gundam como eu não tem jeito mesmo, vai acabar comprando.

Por último, Gran Turismo. O jogo já saiu, a net tá cheia de review por aí, e eu peguei o jogo pela primeira vez. Eu adoro jogo de corrida, então é natural que eu tenha interesse pelo jogo, mas como já vi que não tem modo carreira, fico com um pé atrás. Mas deve ser divertido pra fazer umas corridas enquanto eu estiver naquele tédio. No mais, joguei este no PSPgo, e definitivamente se eu for comprar um PSP novo, este será o 3000 (tenho só o PSP-1000). Sabe aquele troço analógico do PSP tosco pra caramba? Ficou mais tosco ainda no PSPgo. Horroroso.

E é isso! Nenhuma informção útil. Desculpe fazê-los perder tempo lendo esse enorme texto. Afinal quem é que vai confiar num texto dum nintendista fanático que foi no evento da Sony? … tá, eu tenho um PSP e um Xbox 360, antes de tudo eu sou um gamer fanático, tá?

Ah Famitsu, you absolute beauty. Everyone’s favourite Japanese gaming rag has revealed a slew of new Final Fantasy XIII screenshots, underlining the fact that the game is almost ready to ship in the East, then launching in the UK sometime in Q1-Q2.

Thanks must go to Square-Enix for giving us British gamers the last bite of the Final Fantasy apple time and time again. Much appreciated lads…

Another commercial for Final Fantasy is airing in Japan at the moment. It is 15 seconds long and takes place in a Japanese school. The dialogue is fairly easy so this is what I understand:

Sensei (Teacher): I will be absent tomorrow

Gakusei (Student): Why will you be absent?

Sensei: (I’ve waited for this for three years)

<Watashi (I): Me too! 4 years!>

Besides TV commercials some nice posters were spotted in Japan with Lightning renders:

I wonder if the game will be promoted like this in the West. The game will be released here in a few months: March 9th.

Final Fantasy XIII Perfume

The different perfumes are said to be named after multiple characters within the video game. One of the confirmed fragrances is the 50 ml “Lightening” bottle, named after the main character of the same name, which will go for about $83 in the US. It has been confirmed to have hints of yellow peach, citrus, and other fruity and delightful smells to go along with it. This particular bottle will be ready by April.

People are saying that this is a bit much, and that Square Enix is milking the Final Fantasy series a bit too much now. They have recently announced that they will be coming out with their own line of drinks as well. It would really be something if this highly anticipated game turns out to be a standard rpg game without any stand out features. I wish the best for Final Fantasy XIII, and hopefully, the new perfume coming out will be as good as the game is.

The first promotional video of Final Fantasy XIII was aired in Japan at an unknown time recently. It’s a promotional video for the Elixir beverage but still shows mainly the game itself.

Today it was posted on YouTube and surprisingly it includes never before seen footage of all characters. You can watch it below or on the official site of Suntory (In the “Movie” Section):

Move over Calvin Klein and other over-priced smellies, a newcomer is soon to enter the market, ready to splash over Japanese gaming enthusiasts. Square Enix is will be releasing a fragrance inspired by Final Fantasy XIII’s heroine early next year (reports Siliconera). Called Lightning eau de toilet, the perfume smells of sweet peach, followed by rose and a feminine musk which could actually be rather pleasant. A 50ml bottle will cost ¥7,140 which is a pricey conversion to £50. That’s a pound a ml to smell like Lightning. Even more if anyone does decide to import it. This is one piece of gaming merchandise that I think I’ll steer clear of.

De acordo com o site Uffsite.net a versão PS3 que estará já à venda no próximo mês no Japão, não terá instalação obrigatória no disco.

De acordo com a imagem abaixo, da suposta contra capa do jogo, não existe menção da instalação obrigatória e confirma que o save do jogo será de 500kb, bastante leve.

Outras informações que podemos retirar da imagem diz respeito ao som do jogo que usará a alta qualidade de LPCM 5.1 e que os filmes CGI serão a 1080p e não a 720p.

Esperamos asiosos pelos dados da versão do X Box.

Parece que vamos a tener FF XIII hasta en la sopa de aqui a su lanzamiento en Europa en Marzo.

Y esque, a falta de un mes para su lanzamiento en Japon, ha salido una imagen interesantisma de la contraportada mostrando detalles tecnicos del juego para PS3 (recuerdo que el juego en 360 no vera la luz en el pais nipon).

Como podreis observar en la imagen que dara pie a esta entrada, se puede entender que el juego tendra tres codificaciones diferentes de audio: Audio sin comprimir PCM 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 y DTS  Digital Sorround 5.1.

Sin duda, un apartado muy muy cuidado si se dispone de un aparato capaz de reproducir estas pistas.

Pero la cosa no acaba aqui. Segun parece, el juego correra nativamente a 720p, no obstante, las CGs (los videos prerrenderizados [generados por ordenador] para los que no entendais estos palabros tan intelecto-tecnicos que se inventan nuestros colegas ingleses) correran a 1080p, o en otras palabras, a Full HD, eso que parece tienen alergia los juegos actuales.

De todos es sabido el buen hacer de SE con estas escenas, asi que si ademas nos las enmarcan en una Full HD y le sumamos el sonido antes mencionado, tenemos un espectaculo audiovisual digno de un cine (solo en estas cinematicas, claro).

Por ultimo, parece que se confirma que no habra instalacion alguna, cosa que alegrara a mucha gente (a mi HDD de la consola tambien, al pobre cada dia le pesa mas el culo de lo que traga).

Asi pues, aun sin saber si el resto de apartados del juego estaran a la altura del nombre, parece que en cuanto a prestaciones tecnicas (siempre hablando aqui de PS3), Square a hecho los deberes.

Me imagino, y esto es a titulo personal, que en 360 o bien caparan pistas de audio (dejando solo DD) o bien bajaran la resolucion de las susodichas CGs, porque si juntamos estos videos que, ya de por si, ocupan una barbaridad, y varias pistas de audio que tambien ocupan muchisimo… mucho me temo que el DVD se queda sin espacio con los primeros 10 minutos de juego… Ya se vera conforme se acerque el lanzamiento occidental.

Square Enix dévoile la nouvelle bande-annonce japonaise du très attendu Final Fantasy XIII.

A noter que le thème du jeu que l’on peut entendre (Sayuri Sugawara – 君がいるから, Kimi ga Irukara) sera remplacé par le titre My hands de Leona Lewis dans les versions occidentales.

FFXIII est attendu le 9 mars prochain chez nous.

For anyone who hasn’t been following, I like to review a lesson before I move on, even when I ace the test the first day. Today was pretty simple and I had an easy time with it. Tomorrow I shall move on and hopefully have an easy time with that lesson too. =P

I think I got about 5 hours of sleep last night (with nobody to blame but myself), but that didn’t stop me from doing my Japanese lesson. I’m actually surprised at how quickly I’m progressing through. At this rate I’ll be done with the first set of lessons from the japan foundation in another 15 or so days. It’s a little slower than I’d like to be comfortable enough for Final Fantasy XIII, but that may be a little far out yet. Besides, I never really expected to be comfortable with the language at a quick rate.

I know I kinda promised to review FFXIII quickly (ish), but with the surprisingly large price tag and the impossibility to ship anything around Christmas at a decent rate it may be a bit longer until I get it. I guess we’ll just have to see how that turns out.

Must… sleep… now…. Oyasumi nasai! =D

Personatges

També sabem alguns dels noms del personatges del joc.
Notcis Lucis Caelum:
És el personatge principal, el seu nom significa “La Llum del Cel Nocturn”, encara que se’l segueix coneixent com “El Príncep”, ja que pel que han dit els responsables del projecte, és l’hereu de la família reial que governa la ciutat . El seu color de cabell és negre. Porta una gran espasa en la que veiem un motor entre la fulla i l’empunyadura, semblant en grandària a la Gunblade de Squall Leonhart del Final Fantasy VIII.
Stella Nox Fleuret
L’antagonista per ara confirmada, el seu nom significa “El Floret de l’Estrella de la Nit”. Una noia rossa que fa servir d’arma un Floret i de mateixos poders que noctis, que se sent obligada a enfrontar-s’hi però també porta una relació amistosa i fins i tot amorosa amb aquest.

Argument

De moment, Tetsuya Nomura, ha comentat, que el joc es basarà en una línia de Hamlet, de l’escriptor anglès William Shakespeare. Nomura, vol que el tema principal, parli sobre l’ambigüitat moral, donant-nos a triar diferents camins, que dependran de les nostres eleccions. La seva història serà veritablement absorbent i una mica més adulta, de moment no sabem res més sobre l’argument d’aquest joc, ja que encara esta en desenvolupament.

Per a que pogueu apreciar la qualitat gràfica i visioneu els personatges, ús deixem els dos petits tràilers que us mostraran això.

I aquí us deixem el segon tràiler que no fa gaire que va sortir.

Se acerca la salida al mercado del nuevo Final Fantasy XIII, se dice que a mediados de Diciembre verá la luz en Japón y que, como es costumbre, en Europa no estará disponible hasta Marzo del próximo año 2010.

Ni que decir tiene que este juego es uno de los más esperados por los millones de fans que esta saga tiene en todo el mundo.
