Yesterday, Boston was attacked. People were hurt, people died. It makes whatever I am going through seem so trivial. How can I be in this depressed state when nothing has happened to me..(I know the science behind it…chemical imbalance in my brain)..but I can’t sit here and be in this funk forever.

My husband sat down with me last night, and told me that we were going to make a plan. We would figure it out. AND I WILL get out of this!

I asked myself this morning why I got into photography.

The answer?

It makes me happy…the whole process of it…finding something that is beautiful, or capturing an amazing moment, seeing the image on the back of your camera, then editing it…going back and staring at your beautiful image over and over again. And then the HUGE smile that grows across your face.

This is why I got into photography 7 years ago. It was NEVER about money. It was always about the feeling it gave me.

I have lost sight of that during this funk I have been in. I have been frustrated business wise….I have been stressed out with family, bills, time…there is never enough time!!!

Today I picked up my camera, and told myself to go outside and find the beauty in life. Find the beauty in my surroundings.

And that is exactly what I did.

When I went outside, I saw a family of geese….and the little babies!!! Ahhhhh!! The beauty in life. I did’t get too close because I didn’t want the Mama to eat me!! haha

There is also a tree that is blooming that I have been sitting on my couch admiring through the back door…did you see what I said..I have been admiring it on my couch….NOT through my lens. Well, I admired those beautiful blossoms through my lens this morning.
