Suffice to say, or maybe not, the last week or two has included a razored face (Blue to self), some late night car climbing (Blue) and an impromptu sleepover with Saviour (the Dood), a long and lovely weekend in Devon (all four of us, with friends), a professionals strategy meeting (everyone else), a lot of body art and body blows (Blue), a bad back (the Wave), a fire in the kitchen (Blue), two trips to the dentist (Doodie, then me – ouch), a visit from the ambulance service (for Blue, manic as a street preacher while the Dood snored), a broken finger (me, more ouch) and about 5 visits to or from Family Futures and social services, all on different days.

I have no brain or focus or will to explain any of these events further at the moment but can say that they all in one way or another relate to the disclosures Blue made just before Christmas. OK, all except Devon and the dentist.

I should also say that tonight, although the Wave is out snookering (snooking?),  Blue actually went to sleep before 9.30pm. He tried to make it bad, he really did – he was desperate for me to tell him whether I was or was not Father Christmas, because he was apparently being teased about it at school (in May?!) but I didn’t, and he accepted it. Ta daahhhhh. A minor, but significant, miracle.

And I love this teapot.
