I am working on a project where I am dealing with cookies a lot. Before this toolbar I had to go to the options menu and click  clear all data button to clear all the cookies and cache.I saw this tool on my bosses laptop and found that its much easier to clear the cookies from the toolbar. He send me the link for this toolbar and extension for Firefox.

You’ll be amazed as how many features this extension has.

Gee… too bad there is not something build into firefox to help sort out which extensions are in conflict-, or allow the user to inflict a pecking order… that’d be grrrrreat.

Mozilla에서 제공하는 새로운 Firefox 동기화 도구.

북마크, 암호, 히스토리, 설정, 현재 열려진 탭, 입력 폼 등을 지원한다. 확장 기능을 제작할 수 있는 API를 제공하나, 아직 개발 단계여서 현재 Weave 용으로 만들어진 확장 기능은 거의 없다.

Mozilla에서 제공하는 서버를 회원 가입 후 이용할 수도 있고, 서버를 직접 설치할 수도 있다.

Firefox 3.5 이상만 지원.

Delicious(옛이름 del.icio.us) 공식 Firefox 확장 기능.

Yahoo! Inc.에서 만든 공식 제품이니만큼 꽤 괜찮아 보인다. 한편 공식 제품이니만큼 정식(?) 기능만 제공한다.

리소스를 많이 먹는다는 제보도 좀 있다. 하긴 실시간으로 자동 동기화하고, 이런저런 (잡다한) 기능이 꽤 많다. 메뉴에 ‘Delicious’를 더할 필요까진 없잖은가? 그 많은 Yahoo! 서비스들 확장 기능 만들 때마다 메뉴에 더할 텐가?

Yahoo! Inc.로 넘어간 후에 뭔가 Yahoo! 냄새가 나는 거 같다. ‘Y!ou’라는 상풍명도 새로 만들었다.

Nice Firefox extension to check both dead and duplicate bookmarks. Still in experimental but I haven’t had any problems with it (except it being slow, I have huge amount of bookmarks.)

Both AdBlock Plus and Karma Blocker accomplish the same goal.  One with block lists and one with SpamAssassin style rules.

Cookie management extensions are deficient by comparison.  None are pro-active based on intent of placing cookie.  TACO is a step in the right direction albeit primitively.

Firefox의 컨텍스트 메뉴로 맥의 사전 어플리케이션을 실행시키는 Firefox 확장 기능. 맥의 편리한 사전 기능을 Firefox에서는 사용할 수 없던 아쉬움을 조금 달래준다. (via peroonの日記)

정확히 말하면 이 프로그램은 선택된 단어를 DICT 프로토콜 처리기로 보내는 기능을 한다. 이미 다른  DICT 클라이언트나 플러그인을 사용하고 있던 경우라면 혼선이 생길 수 있다. (예: OmniDictionary)

이 확장기능과 유사하게 작동하는 Mac OS X Dictionary Add-On도 있다. 이 확장기능은 맥 OS 자체의 프로토콜 처리기를 사용하므로 브라우저의 DICT 프로토콜과 독립적으로 동작한다. (/usr/bin/open DICT:///검색어 실행)

p.s ‘Look Up in Dictionary’는 Finder에서 보여주는 컨텍스트 메뉴의 이름을 딴 것입니다. 한국어로는 ‘사전에서 찾아보기’로 되어 있음.
