With excitement in the air a new look is exactly what the doctor ordered.

A romantic twist on a classic look.

Colour eye shadow and colour lined eyes are making a comeback in a big way this spring. I am tots digging the ultra-soft, feminine and pretty violet smoky eye as seen on Naya Rivera.

To get the look:

1. Gently prep the eyes with a long wear eye primer to help lock the light shadow in place. Using a wide eyeshadow brush gently to build up a colour base. Gently brush the colour from the inner corners of your eye outwards. Build up the colour intensity as you brush the colour to the outer corners of your eyes. (You are going for a gentle cat eye).

1. Repeat and shadow line your lower eyelid.

1. Next, apply a violet eyeliner. To prevent smudging I recommend using a waterproof pencil. With the liner apply a heavy line to vamp up the cat eye look on the upper lid.

1. Apply a light line to the waterline of your lower eyelid.

Let the eyeliner settle, curl your lashes and apply mascara.
