Anda tahu Fist of the North Star/Hokuto no Ken? Jika ya, maka paragraf no. 1 ini tidak usah dibaca. Jika tidak, ini ada penjelasan singkat. Fist of the North Star atau Hokuto no Ken adalah cerita mengenai perjalanan seorang ahli beladiri “Fist of the North Star”, yang bernama Kenshiro, dimana dengan kemampuan tersebut, ia dapat menghancurkan– atau meledakkan (serius!) tubuh musuh-musuh yang menghalanginya. Dynasty Warriors developer and publisher Koei officially announced Hokuto Musou for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 today, a lucrative blend of the popular Fist of the North Star manga and proven Musou gameplay.

That announcement leaked a bit early, as Famitsu exclusives are wont to do, but Koei was generous enough to offer a clear, non-scanned, non-crap footage look at Hokuto Musou today. Most of what you’ll see are stills from the game’s opening cinematic, but two shots of in-game action also await you.

According to official word, gamers will “unleash a myriad of devastating fighting techniques and finishing moves powerful enough to bring down whole buildings,” cause enemies to “violently explode on screen” and trigger “the instantaneous breakdown of internal organs.”

Hokuto no Ken will be produced by Hisashi Koinuma of Samurai Warriors fame and feature the voices of Katsuyuki Konishi and Fumihiko Tachiki.

As someone who has unusually fond memories of Fist of the North Star’s brand of fisticuffs and exploding bodies—mostly born from playing Last Battle on the Sega Genesis—I’m looking forward to the game’s release in 2010.

Oh, no she did not just throw the first punch.

Thanks to Methuse’s long time friend Sandy, I was able to learn a lot about keeping a baby from crying by following the five S’s. Sandy is an avid follower of Oprah and whatever Oprah recommends, well Sandy gets it. Last week, when in Santa Clarita, she lent me a cd and dvd by a Dr. Harvey Karp titled “The Happiest Baby on the Block”. Dr Karp was able to come up with the five S’s to help a baby in what he calls the “fourth trimester”, which is the baby’s first 3 months outside the womb. This is the transition state from mom to the real world. Off the top of my head, the 5 S’s are in no particular order, Swaddle, Shush, Suck, Swing, and Side. You do not have to apply all of the S’s at one time. The S’s basically try to mimic the elements that a baby has come to know inside the womb. It is an incredible piece of information for any new parent and even some advanced ones.
The swaddle is one of the main S’s that you should do properly. That is keep their arms to the side and wrap them so that their arms can’t get out but Calvin has this thing where he won’t sleep until he is resting his hand on his chin/cheek. It is so freaking cute and everything I go to grab the camera, he moves. However with persistence, I was able to get him just as he was falling sleep.

Ich kann es nicht so recht glauben, dass der (Sonn)Tag schon wieder fast vorbei ist. Gerade erst habe ich mich heute gegen Mittag aus meiner Wohnung bewegt und mit einer Freundin ein asiatisches AllYouCanEat-Lokal besucht. Ungefähr zwei Stunden und 13 vollgefüllte Teller später bewegte ich mich in einem Schneckentempo wieder nach Hause und besetze seitdem (mehr oder weniger wach) meine tolle Couch. I just saw a great commercial on television!  ZOMG and !!  Oh sorry, my sarcasm kicks in sometimes uncontrollably.  So annoying.  Where was I?  Oh yeah, local television commercials are awful.  Simply awful.  There’s a local gym that apparently decided to make a commercial of an ugly fat guy eating a burrito followed by a big red circle with a line through it.  Really?  Hmm.  Who are they targeting?  People that hate burritos?  My question to them is ‘what do you have against burritos?’.  I mean, burritos are yummy as hell.  Especially those crazy burrito places that advertise ‘burritos as big as your head’.  What?!?  As big as my head?  Let’s slow down Speedy Gonzales, and think about this.  If you eat let’s say, two burritos, a bit later you’ll remember those burritos.  Now extrapolate that to a burrito as big as your head, as big as your head. That doesn’t sound like a good time to me.  So next time a friend says ‘hey, you wanna go get a burrito?’ you should reply ‘as long as it’s not bigger than my fist, that’s the biggest thing I can fit in my mouth.’.  If that’s actually true, well done.
