Hy.       egy történt egy fiúról, és egy lányról.. meg történt események alapján. Az egész onnan kezdődött, hogy a lány felvette a fiút msnre.. amit a fiú tőlem kérdezett meg, hogy ki az. hogy én nem tudom-e .. és már meg mondta a lány, hogy hogy hívják és azt mondta a fiúnak, hogy ő milyen aranyos meg minden.. és meg kérdezte hogy jár-e vele?.. és találkozni akart a fiúval… a fiú is akart vele, de egy este.. én is ott voltam a tescoba amikor találkoztunk. a lánnyal.. nem tudom mit beszéltek mert én a kosárér szaladtam el és akkor még nem is annyira érdekelt ez az ügy.. Másnap én is fel vettem a lányt msnre, és olyanokat mondott… hogy a volt csajom azzal dicsekedett neki, hogy engem lesz*pott.. ami persze NEM igaz!! mielőtt félre értések lennének… és ez már utalt arra, hogy feltörték az msn-jét.. és így teltek a napok máig.. amikor is fel vette a fiú a lánynak a másik msn-jén. ahol ki derült, hogy a lány egyáltalán nem is akart járni a fiúval és a kiírásában.. “Szeretlek Csabi.” szóval. és a fiú nagyon le van törve… ebbe csak az a legrosszabb, hogy a fiú mindent komolyan vett.

I feel like I grew up too damn quickly. I’m half a year away from being a college graduate. I’m thinking about my professional future. It kind of scares me.

I’m sitting inside FIU’s student newspaper office at the school’s Biscayne Bay Campus. I have my just-bought copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in my backpack, as well as some loose timesheets from the Miami Herald and today’s assignment for my Print News Reporting class. One part of my brain is telling me to skip out on class and join the fray on Xbox Live, while the other is telling me that I’ve skipped too many classes already to play Borderlands and Uncharted 2.

I just got off the phone with the publisher of a very popular video game news blog, and he wants me to forward the story idea I sent to him a couple of weeks back to the site’s editor in chief.

It’s hard to contain my excitement.

A few months ago, I really couldn’t think about life beyond college. It’s one of those things your brain thinks of but can’t handle, so it just emits smoke from its lobes.

I’m a journalism student who got into journalism for the wrong reasons.

Namely, I really wanted to write about video games — not necessarily as a game critic (although I wouldn’t mind that either), but really as a video game journalist.

I’ve dreamt of it since I got my first issue of EGM back in 1999 or so.

So go figure: I’ve worked for FIU’s student newspaper for more than a year, and I’ve worked as an intern at the Miami Herald for about two months now, and  I dare say I’m not too shabby at doing conventional journalism either.

But it just doesn’t do it for me.

Don’t get me wrong, though. I recently did a story about a former  homeless man who turned his life around and is on his way to Harvard for law school. I loved doing that story. People never cease to amaze me. If I couldn’t cover video games for a living, I wouldn’t mind doing stories like that for a living. There’s something really beautiful about the way humans speak and behave, and being a “documenter” of our species is a job that I find to be very admirable. I’ve grown an affinity for journalism because of stories like these.

But sadly, documenting the lives of the average and not-so-average person is not what journalism is entirely about. I recently covered a local mayoral debate.

I won’t go in to detail for ethics’ sake, but it’ll suffice to say I didn’t like it.

But I love video games.

And not just the games. I love the communities. I love the characters of the industry like Kojima, Fils-Aime, Itagaki, Pitchford, Jaffe… you name them. I love 1337 speak. I love forum trolls. I love everything about the gaming culture.

Covering dudes like the aforementioned ones is definitely something I’d like to do because not only would I be writing about the games, but I’d be writing about those characters. Then I’d really be doing what I loved: writing about games and documenting the average and not-so-average people who make up the human race.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.

All I’ve got on the table so far is a freelance opportunity with a video game news blog. Let’s see where that takes me.

The Eagles harbor a little more experience, if not as much talent as the Heels, though it looks like the size of UNC’s frontcourt could play a big role in the rebounding again. The Eagles are only in their third season of Division 1 classification, but that isn’t stopping them from taking on a bevy of ACC opponents this season: UNC, Miami, Va. Tech and N.C. State. NCCU will join the MEAC conference next season. I can’t say that I’ve seen them play,  but with the Eagles starting three experienced guards, it could cause some problems in the transition game. Against FIU the Heels coughed the ball up like they had swine flu. Against a guard-heavy team that could create some turnovers that lead to opposing layups.

They blinded him with science: First-year head coach LeVelle Moton is an alumnus of NCCU (‘96) and their third all-time leading scorer. His nickname was “Poetry ‘n Moton.”

So when Marcus Ginyard took the steal from Will Graves and made his way to the basket in the season opener vs. FIU, I was expecting an efficient, predictable layup. The type of play that I think is the gold standard of Ginyard’s playing style.

Wrong.

The dunk that ensued was unexpected. It was a show of flash, and also confidence, considering there was a defender in the area. And when it boils down to it, it was just a good f’ing dunk.  We gave Ginyard’s dunk co-top-play honors. Here is a sweet little sequence of pictures by the News & Observer’s Robert Willet.

Time to tell all your football friends “Goodbye.” Time to say, “Hey, I’d love to stay at work a little longer tonight, but really, I can’t. It’s a 7 o’clock tip-off.” Time to jump around. Time to strategically wear Carolina blue clothing items on gamedays. Yes, ladies and gentlmen, it’s college basketball season.

The Heels take on Florida International tonight, though if Golden Panthers coach Isiah Thomas had his way, FIU would be playing Ohio State. As season openers go, the whole Isiah thing has given this one a little punch for me, a little extra pizzazz that playing FIU would not have had without it. Plus, it’s Isiah’s first game as a college head coach. I’m interested to see if he’s got game in regards to coaching college kids. That and the fact that this kicks off the 100th season of Carolina hoops.

I was going to take some time and post any local previews about the game, but TarHeelBlue has kindly done that for me, so let’s not let their diligent work go unnoticed. Check it out.

Three things I’ll be looking for:

1) Larry Drew II at the point: If (as some of those game previews suggest) the Heels really are a Final Four caliber team, they will need a strong point guard. Drew II did not play significant minutes last year and as such is a big question mark.

2) Cutting down on turnovers: From memory, I believe Carolina had something like 20 turnovers in the exhibition against Belmont Abbey. That’s unacceptable. UNC fans have been spoiled by the likes of Ty Lawson, who seemingly never gave the ball away. The turnovers didn’t just come from Larry Drew II, who dished out eight dimes to his three turnovers, however, they were spread out over the team.The whole group needs to focus on taking care of the basketball.

3) Post play: It’s what should be the Heels’ strength this year, so let’s see it in action, eh?!

Isiah Thomas lost his coaching debut at Florida International tonight. To an NAIA team. By 10. Northwood, coached by Rollie Massamino who led Villanova to the 1985 national title, beat FIU 71-61.

Lester Hunte was Northwood’s leading scorer with 18, and Patrick Horstmann had 13.  Marvin Roberts and Phil Gary Jr. led FIU in scoring with 15 points each.

FIU opens the season next week against North Carolina. That should be fun.

It wasn’t always pretty, but ASU used a controlling ground game to come away with a 27-10 victory over FIU Saturday night at ASU Stadium.

The Red Wolves (2-4, 1-2 SBC) out-rushed FIU 276-32 yards on the night, and held the ball for nearly ten minutes more than FIU (1-6, 1-3 SBC) to capture the win.

“(FIU) did everything in their power to keep us from running the football,” ASU head coach Steve Roberts said.  ”(But) we said ‘we’re going to do it’.”

The victory was the Red Wolves’ first since the season opener and snapped a four-game losing streak.

“We played really hard in the four losses that we had,” Roberts said. “A lot of teams would have done the common thing and sort of pack it in, but I’m proud of our football team for being uncommon and continuing to fight the way they have.”

After an ugly first half that had the Red Wolves ahead just 7-0 at the break, ASU opened the second half with an offensive intensity not seen since their first possession of the game. ASU took the opening kickoff of the second half 75 yards in seven plays in just three minutes off the clock to take a 14-0 lead on a 5-yard touchdown run from Derek Lawson.

Roberts noted several coaching adjustments made at halftime that led to the increased production in the second frame. ASU had 200 yards rushing in the second half compared to just 76 in the opening frame.

Josh Arauco pushed the ASU lead to 17-0 with a 26-yard field goal with 2:44 remaining in the third quarter.

Despite trailing by three scores, the Golden Panthers wouldn’t go away late, and pulled within a touchdown before ASU halted the momentum.

FIU’s first scoring drive of the night didn’t come until late in the third quarter. Following the Arauco field goal, FIU drove 41 yards in eight plays and put points on the board with a 36-yard field goal from kicker Dustin Rivest. The drive was helped along with a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty from ASU’s Demario Davis on the first play of the drive.

Following a missed Arauco field goal on the next possession, FIU drove the ball downfield in eight plays covering 79 yards in just under three minutes, ending in a two-yard touchdown run by FIU’s Darriet Perry to pull within seven at 17-10 with 8:25 left in the game.

FIU forced a punt on the next Red Wolves possession, but took over deep in their own territory at the seven-yard line with 6:28 left in the game, trailing by just a touchdown. Two plays later, FIU standout receiver T.Y. Hilton had the ball knocked out of his hands by ASU’s Marcus Brown and ASU recovered with 6:15 left at the FIU 14-yard line. On the next play, Reggie Arnold muscled a defensive back over on his way to the pylon and ASU put the game out of reach at 24-10.

Arauco would later add his second field goal of the night for the final margin.

Leonard had a big night on the ground, running for 120 yards on 15 carries in the contest, marking a career high performance for the senior. Reggie Arnold had his 16th 100-yard rushing performance and his first since the season’s opening game. Arnold finished the game with 104 yards on 23 carries.

“That was a physical football game offensively,” Leonard said. “We were running the ball, they knew we were going to run it, they knew what we were going to run, and they still couldn’t stop us.”

Young ASU receiver Taylor Stockemer also had a good day for the Red Wolves, The redshirt-freshman pulled down four catches for 81 yards in the game.

Hilton came into the contest averaging 73 yards receiving per game, but was slowed by nagging injuries and the ASU defense. Hilton caught just three balls on the night for just 24 yards. Hilton’s first catch of the night didn’t come until five minutes into the fourth quarter.

ASU asserted themselves offensively the very first time they had the ball, with an 11-play, 60-yard drive that ended in a 5-yard touchdown throw to Jeff Blake with 6:22 in the first quarter, the only pass on the entire drive.

After that drive, however, ASU could only muster 79 yards the rest of the half. ASU threatened to score with just under nine minutes left in the second quarter, scrimmaging second and goal from the six-yard line, but Leonard fumbled the ball, and FIU recovered to halt the drive.

Sophomore Ryan Aplin was inserted at quarterback for the last two series of the half, following Leonard’s lost fumble, but couldn’t muster any greater success. In total, Leonard put the ball on the ground three times on the night, but only lost it once.

Just one game removed from committing 16 penalties against ULM, ASU was flagged nine times for 72 yards Saturday night against FIU.

The announced Homecoming attendance was 18,779.

ASU will venture out of conference play next week when they travel to play Louisville next Saturday.

Az emberek társas lények, ezt mindenki tudja. Néhányan az igaz szerelmet fiúban találják meg, néhányan a lányban -nemtől független- és ez így rendben is van, a világ kezdi elfogadni (jobb helyeken).
De a kérdés sokunk szájából hangzott már el: Létezik e fiú – lány barátság?

Szerintem nem, vagy maximum egy ideig létezhet, aztán egy apró kis érzelmi változás a két barát közül, és minden megváltozik. Megpróbál a másik közelébe kerülni minden percben, és máshogy is viselkedik. És ez vagy egy szerelmet eredményez, vagy a két fél összeveszését, elválását egymástól, és így egy jó baráttól -szerelemtől- szabadulunk meg. Ez sokunkkal már megtörtént valamilyen formában. Egy baráttal nem jó összejönni, mert a végén elveszítjük azt. Ez a mondat tipikusan inkább lányok szájából hangozhat el. Én nem így gondolom 100%-osan. Ha valakivel összejöttél, hogy eleinte csak barátok voltatok, akkor az érzelmi kötődés nagyobb. Így ha el is hagyjátok egymást, lehettek újra barátok, sőt még közelebbi, mert jól ismeritek egymást.

A tökéletes barátság fiú és lány között akkor jöhet létre, ha nem vonzódnak egymáshoz pl. nem heteroszexuálisak. Vagy nevezhetünk egy erős szerelmi kapcsolatot is barátságnak , mert akit szeretsz, az egyben a legjobb barátod is lehet.

Bár a barátság is csak minimális vonzódással jöhet létre, mivel ha nagyon taszítana a másik, akkor még idegesítene is.

A fiúk között sokkal erősebb a baráti kapocs, mint a lányok közt. Náluk meg lehet találni az igaz barátot, mert nem másznak bele nagyon egymás személyes szférájába, vagy ha igen azt se olyan véresen fogják fel mint a lányok…

Cada dia pienso sobre la necesidad que hay de reformula y repensar nuestra FEPUC- Federacion de Estudiantes de la PUCP. ¿Por que no agarra viada la federacion como en sus años mozos? ¿Por que los estudiantes, pese a tener muchos amigos en facebook, no la reconocen como una institucion fuerte y de representacion real? ¿Por que los estudiantes no se involucran en la vida politica gremial como si lo hacen en la vida del cogobierno? Cada dia me hago estas preguntas, y la respuesta es la misma…. A LA FEPUC LE FALTA ALGO.

El año pasado postule a la presidencia de la federacion, y creo que aunque gracias a una masiva contracampaña iniciada por A.D.B un personaje “queer” de derecho, pero que siguio con ataques de rebote de todos los aliados de Coherencia Universitaria – hablo de Accion Critica en Sociales, Frente de Izquierda en EEGGLL, y Reforma Derecho, en Derecho- , no termina tan mal como querian. Un 30% aproximadamente respaldo la candidatura loca y golpeada, de un “fosil politico” como algunos me han tildado.

Sin embargo, debo admitir que en ese 30%, veo las ganas verdaderas de REVOLUCIONAR. De no seguir pensando que la federacion debe ser la casa de amigos, o la casa de citas, o la casa para guardar mochilas, como ha venido siendo en las ultimas gestiones.  Veo esperanza, a fin de cuentas. Porque fueron estudiantes de Ingenieria, EEGGCC, Arquitectura y Educacion, los que respaldaron la candidatura de ACCION UNIVERSITARIA, la que dirigi por azares del destino.

Es cuando tenemos que pensar ¿que queremos hacer? Yo creo que mi opcion y la de muchos que queremos a la PUCP y que queremos a la federacion, sera REVOLUCIONAR. Muchos podran decir que soy loco, por pretender algo asi, por olvidar lo que se vivio en el 2008 en las elecciones fepuc del año pasado, pues a ellos les digo PARA REVOLUCIONAR HACE FALTA DE LOCOS, SINO TODO ES STATUS QUO.

En un proximo post expondre una propuesta de REFORMA FEPUC, una verdadera reforma de fondo que pretendera inyectarle esa vida que le falta a la federacion.

Los invito a PENSAR DIFERENTE, a CAMBIAR…. ese fue mi compromiso con Sociales en mi candidatura al Consejo de Facultad. Hoy Sociales vive una de las reformas administrativas y academicas mas importante de su historia. Creo haber cumplido, con vehemencia y con compromiso. LO QUE LE FALTA A LA FEDERACION ES REVOLUCION.
