The national television media has once again rewarded us for our great, and to some surprising, record this year. On Sunday, December 14th, the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers will play at 4:15pm, instead of their regularly scheduled game of 1:00 pm, at M&T Bank Stadium. This game will be the Game of the Week on CBS that week.

The Ravens are 5-0 against the Steelers at home since 2003. Their most recent win came during the final game of the 2007 season when the Ravens back-ups defeated the Steelers back-ups 27-21.

The Steelers currently hold a one game lead over the Ravens this year in the AFC North. There is no doubt that this game will be for that very same AFC North Championship and a secure spot in the playoffs.

With the exception of Big Jeff, I don’t know anyone excited about the fact that NBC will become the New England Broadcasting Network for the next couple of months. Thanks to the incredible awesomeness that is the NFL flex schedule NBC will be taking the rights to every Pats game from now until they lose, which will likely be next summer in the pre-season. The only exception to this is the Monday night game on ESPN on the 25th against the Eagles. I loathe this system. Because we have the best football team, possibly of all time, we are bleary eyed from the beginning of November till the end of the season?!? Stupid, stupid, stupid! Take your ad revenue, your John Mellancamp commercials, roll them up in a nice little ball, and shove it up your ass.

Now on to the game… Satan Bill Belichick and the Evil Patriots roll into Buffalo for what looks like an easy win. The Bills have a pretty decent quarterback, who they’ve elected to have ride the pine. JP Limpwrist is a joke. Coming off weeks in which he beat a pretty bad Bengals team, he managed a whopping 157 yards against the Dolphins, yes the same Dolphins Brady threw 4 touchdowns against in the first half of a game. The same Dolphins that had such a depleted secondary that Tom had to throw late in the 4th quarter against because their front seven were so “stacked”.

The Pats have been getting praise from some in the media, but trashed by others saying that they have a flawed ground attack and won’t be able to play ball with the Colts and Steelers. Are you kidding me? We destroyed the Browns who managed to almost knock off Pittsburgh and you’re telling me they’re going to be a test. I THINK NOT! And the Colts, are you serious? We proved we could be the Colts, in their stadium, and now they’re losing players faster than I’m losing my hair and they’re going to come to Foxboro, in January and topple the Pats? I don’t think so. I think we’ll see plenty of the Peyton Manning face.

Prediction this week, Pats 42 Bills 10. Brady goes for 4 scores, in the first half. Maroney rushes for a 5th score as they burn clock in the third and pretty sure that the defense will be running back at least one pick of JP Limpwrist. Who knows 42 may be an understatement.
