Pat Phelan and Florian Seroussi, two of the co-founders of MaxRoam have saved their customers a million dollars in the past year! MaxRoam is a SIM card that you can put into your GSM phone so that when you travel you don’t get charged roaming rates. Brilliant? Absolutely.

MaxRoam launched at TechCrunch40 last year and has since made a lot of noise in the media. Conclusion? Next time you’re planning on traveling, make sure to pick up a MaxRoam SIM card and save a lot of money.

Well, TwitterFone got out the door last night. Powered by technology from Dial2Do, VOX Telecom, and Zong and people-wise by Florian Seroussi, David Marcus, Pat Phelan and the whole Dial2Do team.

TechCrunch gave us a lovely review, and judging by the initial comments and requests for invites, there’s plenty of interest in the service! We’re looking forward to seeing how people use the service, and hearing their feedback over the coming weeks and months.
