Tigertail Beach is also part of the Florida birding trail. Due to the barrier island that is forming at this beach, many seabirds are taking up residence here. Tigertail Beach’s lagoon is great for fishing as well. Fishermen will be able to see lots of activities, especially right at sunrise or sunset.

If you are just looking to work on your tan and grab a bite or a cocktail, you will love South Beach. On South Beach you will find the Island’s hotels and bars at your disposal. Just walk up the sand and go to one of the Beach Bars to watch the sun set over dinner.

Jackson was such a cutie pie!! I just wish he would smile more, he has really cute smile! He didn’t care much for water, so mom had to constantly with him, and shot weren’t all that i wanted them to be. We did our best, i think some with mom came out really nice. Overall, everyone liked them.

Today i had a chance to shoot 2 lovely models, Kara and Amy.

This is Kara, she is one gorgeous young lady, with the most beautiful eyes, and one terrific smile. I found her very camera friendly, and very easy to photograph.With her facial features, she would make an exceptional portrait model.However, i found her somewhat awkward in her posing for a full body shots. I understand she is very young, and lack of experience, she has a lot to learn. So i will leave it at that. None the less, i see a great potential for this young lady.

Florida has some beautiful beaches. Recently, we went in search of  one famous for the largest outcropping of Anastasia limestone on the Atlantic coast, Blowing Rocks Preserve. Its unusual name comes from the up to 50 foot “geysers” created when wind drives surf through holes in the rocks. I wanted to photograph the beach at sunset and again at sunrise the next morning. On the day we chose, an easterly wind piled the sea high enough for some real wave action. We arrived in late afternoon only to find that the preserve’s hours are from 9:00 to 4:30! Disappointed, we searched for nearby beach access and  found Coral Cove Park, also known as Little Blowing Rocks.

We found the beach deserted except for a few active shorebirds.

The next morning we crawled out of our beds at 5:00 and drove the 15 miles from our motel back to Coral Cove, determined to catch the sunrise. The waves had calmed somewhat and once again we had the beach all to ourselves.  As the horizon began to glow, I readied my tripod, camera, and cable release for the big moment.

I set my camera free of its tripod and walked the beach allowing the fresh ocean breeze to envelop me as I took in the glory of this unique time and place.

Like every beautiful experience this one had come to an end. We left the beach and stopped on the way to enjoy a view of  Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse.

I treasure the memories of this trip because it taught me to look beyond frustrated plans and hopes to seek and enjoy the beach least traveled.

To get started on this blog, I am going to catch up on some recent visits I have made in Florida. One of which was illegally camping on Sebastian Inlet (but I won’t say our spot)! It is absolutely gorgeous! The beach is very clean, as well as the water is very blue. Since it is a bit away from the city, at night you can see an array of stars. I went with my boyfriend, it was very romantic!

Sexy radio amateur

Yet another victim of thinking that semi-dressed sexy girl will help pumping the sales.

“When sunning in Florida take a break from the rays and check out the hot Icom radios in our cool store!”.

Ok, I could imagine this girl is dreaming about new pink Lexus, a gallon of Dior perfume, top of the line bluethooth with white gold finish. I could even imagine that the girl slowly thinks how this Miami beach sucks comparing to Bora-Bora beaches full of sexy muscle machos around.
And I do not believe that she would be thinking about amateur radio equipment: antennas, telegraph keys, capacitors and portable dual-band UHF transceivers (“Damn! The new Icom IC-92AD is rugged, submersible and has 5 watts output! This is 3.5 watts better than my old one!”).

Conclusion: The “coolest amateur radio store” is running by folks in their 65+ who already forgot what the girls like this one may think about during their summer vacations.

I don’t BELIEVE so much time has passed since I last wrote. I think I last left you on my way to Rainbow, which was so long ago, that I can’t even begin to write about it except to say that it was awesome—a truly beautiful experience in a beautiful place, with beautiful people. I’ll write more about it later. While I was there I wrote in my journal (like the old fashioned paper type) so I’ve got things to say, but not now. Quick update: Ryan and I finally made our way back east to good ol’ Massachusetts (my parents missed me…awwww), but just a week later we got back in the car and drove down to Florida, which maybe isn’t the smartest thing to do I the summer because it’s a freakin’ sauna down there (oh, and it rains quite a bit!) but we’ve been staying cool, camping out a lot where there are cool ocean/gulf breezes, drinking a ton, and crashing at the occasional cheap motel when it’s just too painful.

Meanwhile, I came across some great lists while I was researching where to go next and thought that since summer in Florida stretches on forever, these should be quite up to date even in a few months from now. So here ya go!

I have met Pat and her family at 7pm, and didn’t realize it’s going to be 9 of them. Whew, if I knew that prior, I would have started this at 6pm, to give us a little more daylight. Despite short time, we managed to get some good shots. With 3 children being present, and Hannah, being the youngest one, it was a little difficult to get the to cooperate.  It was funny, because Pat’s husband completely refuse to smile, I didn’t know to do. Cracking jokes wasn’t really working, so I had to chase him with my camera for some candid shot, hoping to catch his smile. It worked, this was one lucky shot!
