Anyway, i feel for the guys too, after all his friends are inviting him to an ambush date, so from his view is “let’s see if whatevername like this one”.

(written by: Willy Yanto Wijaya)

Nusselt number is defined as:

where h = convective heat transfer coefficient (W/m2K)

lamda = thermal conductivity of fluid (W/mK)

L = characteristic length (m)

which can be viewed as the ratio of convective to conductive heat transfer across the boundary (surface). It is, as a matter of fact, can be derived easily from the Newton’s Law of Cooling (convective term) and the heat conduction term (at the same condition as the heat convection). Therefore, it becomes obvious that:

Nusselt number is a dimensionless number. The characteristic length (L) is determined by the direction of the growth (thickness) of the boundary layer.

Then, what kind of physical meaning does this Nusselt number imply? If Nu=1, this means that the convection and conduction terms have relatively similar magnitude and thus is characterized by the laminar flow. On the other hand, large Nu implies that the convective term is dominant, which typically characterized by turbulent flows (usually Nu value in the range of 100-1000).

Therefore, by understanding the Nusselt number of a flow system, we can infer the dominance between convection and conduction heat transfer terms, and thus enabling us to design better and more efficient thermal engineering systems, especially in the convective heat transfer field.

I suppose you’ve heard about how I set my husband’s cock on fire so no one else could have it. Yeah, not the best thing I’ve ever done, although it ranks among the top three in instant gratification. I should’ve listened to my mother: “If you break your toys, you’ll have nothing left to play with!” I had intended to buy him a Feeldoe to stick up his ass. Then I could still have my kitten kebabed, then lock his silicone sausage in a drawer while I’m at work. The whole death thing was kinda accidental. My bad.

So now I’m in the market for a new dick. If you have one, you’re welcome to submit an application on his behalf. That is, provided that said meat mallet satisfies the necessary qualifications (and my insatiable pickle jar). My new pleasure pipe must be able to read at a second-grade level and whistle. He must enjoy metal. And not Korn and Slipknot with their Frenchified size-queen overcompensation. I’m talking Watchmaker, played at eleven. And he needs to be able to complete secondary tasks, such as handing me the scalpel when I play surgeon on my girlfriends and pressure washing the house. Bonus points if he likes nachos.

You know, none of this would have happened if the goddamned thing would have stayed at home like he was supposed to. When I told him that there would be consequences, he just sagged over his beanbags and apologized. Well, sorry doesn’t cut it, jock hose. Everyone saw him at the park, making out with that skanky blond who drools garlic mashed potatoes. It really hurt my feelings. And there’s only one thing that mends a broken heart: a half-pint of Häagen Dazs and lighter fluid.

But, hey. You don’t have to worry about that. I’ll feed you and play with you and buy you toys… I’ll even make a little ID tag at that machine at the mall so you can find your way home if you get lost. I’ll wash your turtlenecks and make sure your pillows are soft and smooth. Oh, and I’ll shove you places that aren’t on the map. But if you work hard, you’ll get a fish oil massage.

(editor’s note: a lot of people have a hard time with this topic) What’s the difference

(editor’s note: a lot of people have a hard time with this topic)

What’s the difference between you and a celebrity (of course, assuming that you are not a celebrity… if you are, then just answer ‘nothing’!)? For all of us, really, the answer is ‘not much’; they might have a larger bank account, spend more money on their appearance… but really, the one major difference you will notice is that they are less accessible than we are.

If some deranged fan wanted to see us, they would be able to google our address (or get our complete domestic profile through Intelus for $19.95) and walk up and knock on our front door… and we would probably answer it, personally. Celebrities (or rich people) don’t do that. First of all, they have a gate, and security, and a maid or butler who is trained on how to deal with the public… and, if they are uber-celebrities, then they will have multiple houses and the general public won’t even have a clue, where they are going to be and when.

Why are celebrities so paranoid? Well, I don’t know that they are, or maybe they are. What’s that line from Mel Gibson’s Conspiracy Theory? ’Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean someone isn’t trying to kill you.’ And with all the celebrity stalker cases recently, it’s a pretty convincing argument. Celebrities have more to lose. So, they become ‘less accessible.’

Why do we need to be less accessible? Well, in the ocean, there are small fish swimming around, and there are larger fish too. And, all too often, the larger fish eat the smaller fish, and possibly a larger fish still eats the large fish. It’s an adversarial world. The bigger fish are able to eat the smaller fish because they are more accessible, the bigger fish have ’stalked’ them… they know their habits, they know where they live, what time they are home, when they sleep, where they eat, (and the bigger fish can swim faster than the smaller fish). And, they can use this information for their own advantage.

Whatever sized fish you might fancy yourself to be, there is possibly a bigger fish out there who will pounce on you if they get the chance, so, why give them the chance? Become inaccessible.

Don’t tell everybody (or anybody!) what you’re going to be doing and when, and how often. Rather, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. Foster some mystery. It will be more exciting for you and for them. Cancel your Facebook account, or at least stop updating your status regularly. Can you do that? You will find that it is difficult. Because others don’t want you to do that. You will find that this pisses off your loved ones the most. They like to keep tabs on you, psychically, and if they are unsure of your whereabouts, your habits and schedules, they can’t quite get a fix on you… ah-ha! Now, we’re getting somewhere!

If you’re accessible physically, then you are accessible psychically. People can touch you (energetically), hold you, mold you, impress upon you any idea they want to… if they can find you. So, don’t let them find you.

Inaccessibility is something that Don Juan talks a lot about in the books by Carlos Castaneda, about the study of knowledge and power. Since we are so much more psychic than we realize, the thought forms of other people affect us much more than we may realize. So, if some otherwise well-meaning parent wants you to be their conservative son or daughter and not become a lawyer for the ACLU, but rather marry a rich conservative from your home town and settle down and have lots of babies.. (whether this is something you’d want for yourself or not), you might feel this inexplicable desire to do just that… except it isn’t your desire… it’s their’s… but they were able to get to you, because you were too accessible. If they can’t find you inwardly… they can’t manipulate you! And even your dearest loved ones will try, whether they are aware of it or not.

We need to be inaccessible, because we will feel the subtle pressure, from outside of ourselves, to be something we’re not, yet we will unconsciously conform. We really want to be free to grow in our own natural direction, but we can’t if we bend to other influences.

Even more importantly, we need to be inaccessible to ourselves. If you know what you are going to do tomorrow, or next week, or next year, then you, yourself, are impressing some static personality onto your fluid self, and you will limit your chance for growth considerably. You need to become a mystery… to yourself!

The interesting thing about explaining being outside of the gender binary is that you first have to

The interesting thing about explaining being outside of the gender binary is that you first have to explain what gender binary is in order to understand what it means to be outside of it. There is no quick and easy way to explain what it means to be genderqueer and even after several attempts at trying to explain it, people still don’t get it because they are stuck trying to put it in a box.

The gender binary is a form of hierarchy and oppression. It divides the human race into two groups instead of uniting us as one. Most people’s concept of self is centered around their identity and it influences the course their entire life. It controls how most people will treat you down to which bathroom you can use. I want no part in it.

For me, genderqueer is beyond male and female. I don’t want people judging me based on genitals or my body. My private parts do not define me as they do with so many of my fellow humans. If we are to eventually have equality in the world, we need people to be treated as people not as genitals.

It is strange to me that I get treated with more respect and taken more seriously when I get mistaken for a male verses a female. I don’t like being called, “Honey,” “Sweetie,” or “Dear” because of the body I happen to exist in. At the time it happens, I don’t even know where to begin because it’s socially acceptable. Just because something is tradition doesn’t make it right.

It embarrasses me that our species didn’t have a women’s rights movement until War World II, that there was a division at all. It wasn’t that long ago and it still isn’t over. It won’t be over until we abolish gender all together. As long as there is separation into groups, one group will oppress the other until people understand equality isn’t the same as sameness.

I imagine a world in which males wear skirts as often as females. A world in which people can just be people. No gender, no sexuality, no racial tension. That we can be fluid and undefined. Once you start worry about defining something, you lose it. It’s like grasping sand, the tighter you grip it, the faster it slips through your fingers. Be free. As long as you know yourself, that’s all that’s important. People like what they like and that should be it.

The problem with society is that most people don’t know themselves. They know an illusion which they considered to be self – but all those layers are fake. What’s real, is that we are all human and all need love. If we learned to love and accept each other regardless of outside fluff, we can have utopia.

Being genderqueer to me gives me the freedom of having a label for those who need boxes but still be able to be outside the box. It’s not fully definable and that’s okay because our language is flawed and can’t express all aspects of being human succinctly.

Greetings, tonight I have been sitting at my computer spending most of my time flicking insects of my screen and key board! It has been 40 degrees in the shade, this is scary for we have only just come into Summer. This is typical weather for January. Our teak dining table was hot to the touch and we couldn’t sit inside. What on earth is going to happen in Jan/Feb our hottest months?

Living in the country is for lack of a better word/s absolutely Awesome, however these high temps are debilitating, especially for those that have to work outdoors.

The bugs up here are gynormous and freaky!

All I can say is that if you are hot and bothered keep atomisers close to you, spray yourself regularly and keep up your fluid intake.

Let’s pray that we have a safe summer. Remember to take the correct precautions to prevent accidental fires!

Be safe and be wise.

Liposuction and medical tourism in Asia

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that sculpts your body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, such as your buttocks, thighs and upper arms. Liposuction (or lipoplasty) is a plastic surgery procedure that uses a combination of a vacuum and suction to remove fat in problem areas Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty (“fat modeling”), liposculpture or suction lipectomy (“suction-assisted fat removal”) is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, to the neck, backs of the arms and elsewhere. The fat is usually removed via a cannula (a hollow tube) and aspirator (a suction device). singapore liposuction surgeryThe magnitude of fat removed varies by doctor, method, and patient, but the average amount is typically less than 10 pounds (5 kg). There are several factors that limit the amount of fat that can be safely removed in one session. The most important surgical challenges of any liposuction procedure is:

Remove the right amount of fat
Cause the least disturbance of neighboring tissue, such as blood vessels and connective tissue
Cause the least discomfort to both patient and surgeon
Leave the person’s fluid balance undisturbed
Ensure speedy recovery
Try and get the desired look the patient wanted.

Ultimately, the operating physician and the patient make the decision. The procedure may be performed under general or local (“tumescent”) anesthesia. The safety of the technique relates not only to the amount of tissue removed, but to the choice of anesthetic and the patient’s overall health. It is ideal for the patient to be as fit as possible before the procedure and to have given up smoking for several months. Recovery depends on the extent of the liposuction. Generally patients are able to return to work within two days and two weeks. A bandage is worn for two to four weeks.

Dry liposuction Wet liposuction
A small amount of fluid, less in volume than the amount of fat to be removed, is injected into the area.
Super-wet liposuction
In this method, the infusate volume is in about the same amount as the volume of fat expected to be removed. This is the preferred technique for high-volume liposuction by many plastic surgeons as it better balances hemostasis and potential fluid overload (as with the tumescent technique).
Laser assisted liposuction
Laser assisted liposuction is a procedure that uses thermal energy to affect lipolysis.
Tumescent liposuction
Tumescent liposuction is the step that precedes, ‘wet liposuction’. Under this procedure the surgeon injects a solution containing a local anesthetic and vasoconstrictor directly into the subcutaneous fat that needs to be removed.

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly, that he brought home.

One day a small opening appeared he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours. It struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, but, it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. He continued to watch the butterfly, he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and the body would contract. Neither happened!

In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

The man acted with well-intentioned kindness but he didn’t understand the consequences. The restricting cocoon and the struggle required to get through the tiny opening, were nature’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been and we could never fly

So the next time you are faced with an obstacle, a challenge, or a problem, remember the butterfly. Struggle a little – then fly!

To preface this post, I subscribe to other Mac blogs to see what they are writing about and to disco

To preface this post, I subscribe to other Mac blogs to see what they are writing about and to discover what other applications other avid Mac users are testing out. I love doing this because there is a lot of people who know a lot about the Mac and, what I like to call the “hidden gems” of Mac applications. It is a great way to be in the know what is the latest and greatest when it comes to the Mac. So last week, I was reading a blog post from Mac Stories (which by the way, is an amazing blog and I love reading his stuff!) titled “30 Web Apps You Should Turn into Mac Apps Using Fluid”. But as I saw the title it caught my eye. I have been reading a lot about Fluid, but I really didn’t know a whole lot about it. But as I read this blog post, I started to realize that Fluid was an app that was going to essentially declutter my web experience. I don’t know about you, but before I started to use Fluid, I would have about 6 or 7 different tabs going on my web browser (email, facebook, Pandora, calendar, work email, Twitter, ESPN, etc). Now with Fluid, life is so much easier, let me tell you how.

Fluid is an app that takes just about any website and turns it into its own standalone application that you can start up from your desktop on your computer. For example, take Facebook, I use it all the time, but if I want to use it I have to open my web browser and if something is already open, I need to create a new tab and then get to Facebook. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just have a Facebook application right on my desktop that I can just click onto and wham, Facebook opens up as it’s own application. This is what Fluid does for you! So now, instead of opening up several different pages or tabs to get everything I need, I just made Fluid apps for websites that I use frequently. Below is a snapshot of just some of the ones that I have made.

As you can see I made a Fluid app for Jott, which I just previously blogged about, Gmail, Pandora, Facebook, Brizzly (a Twitter and Facebook Client), and Google Calendar. Now, the nice thing about this is that I don’t have to always open up a web browser to open one of these web apps, I can just click on the icon and that site will load. Let me show you how this is done. You will see that it is very easy and in no time you will hopefully love it!

The first thing you need to do is download the free fluid app, you can get it here (http://fluidapp.com). After you download the app, click on it and you will get a screen that looks like this.

Pick a website that you would like to use as a Fluid app. In this example I will use Jott. So in the “URL” box, I type in www.jott.com. Then in the “Name” box, I can put something like “Jott” or “My To Do List”, then select a location for the application and an icon. Now as far as the icon is concerned, you can leave it as it is and Jott will have an icon you can use, but I have noticed that most times when you do this, the icon is very blurred and doesn’t look good. So I went online to Google and just searched for “Jott Icon” and there are a myriad of choices for icons out there. Pick the one you like, right click on it, then select “Save Image As” and then pick a location as to where to download it. Then go back to the Fluid app screen and now you can pick your icon by letting it know where it is. Here is a short demo video to explain all of this.

So there you have it! Fluid is an amazing app that, in my opinion goes a long way to declutter your web browsing experience. I love the fact that now when I need to go to my Google Calendar, I can just click on the Fluid app I made for it and not have to open a browser or another tab within a web browser. If you like Fluid, again go and check out the Mac Stories blog about the 30 apps that you should have as Fluid apps; they are great ideas and I have a lot of them. Feel free to comment below about any apps that you have created into Fluid apps; I am always looking for more ideas for Fluid apps.

Thanks again for reading, I really appreciate it! I love doing this and I hope my passion and simplicity shows through my writing. If you already haven’t done so, please add me on Twitter (theeasymac) and/or become a fan of me on Facebook (The Easy Mac)

In diesem Fall jedoch aufs Kennwort speichern verzichten!

Funktion: Anwendung herauslösen

Verknüpfung am Desktop/im Startmenü, etc. erstellen

Anwendung starten

Optimale Fenstergröße wählen (merkt sich die App für den nächsten Start)

Fertig.

Welche Anwendungen sind prädestiniert für WebApps?

Facebook

WordPress

derstandard.at (in der express-Version, aktuell beta)

Fahrpläne von ÖBB, VOR, besonders: itip (Wr. Linien), wenn man die Abfahrten von einer bestimmten Haltestelle im Auge behalten will

Radio Live-Streams: z.B. fm4.orf.at

vermutlich auch: GMail, Google Docs (nicht getestet)

Wikipedia
