LG à sorti un joli spot qui rappelle beaucoup de choses.

En fait, c’est même assez nul, car ils ont copié le spot de Sony sorti il y a quelques temps. Musique post-rock, déferlement d’une hypostase du produit dans le calme d’un centre-ville américain, le tout saupoudré de luxe,calme et volupté. Si j’avais bien aimé les premiers spot Sony qui annonçaient ce principe, je trouve que pour LG venir jouer sur cette idée créative est osé et pas du tout inspiré.

En effet, c’est est la marque de fabrique de Sony et LG en copiant les codes, risque, à mon avis de semer la confusion…à moins que ce sois une stratégie pour ne pas laisser le champs libre. Mais j’aurais tendance à préférer cette fameuse phrase, n’imitez pas, innover… Et pour le plaisir, deux spot Sony Bravia…

De nieuwste Bravia spot is er! Voorlopig is hij echter enkel voor Azië bestemd. Ik vermoed dat het net zoals de vorige spot (Pyramids) een lokale spot zal blijven.

Ik vind het alleszins de minst indrukwekkende spot uit de hele Bravia reeks. Het mist een beetje de Fallon touch!

Un alt concept absolut superb folosit de Sony pentru o nouă reclamă. Au fost folosiţi aproximativ 460 milioane litri de spumă. Trecătorii s-au jucat în spumă, iar producătorii au invitat locuitorii oraşului Miami să imortalizeze momentele folosind camere foto Cyber-shot şi α şi camere video Handycam.

2 – As reported all over the wire yesterday, word is Jimmy Fallon, ex-SNL skit killer, is going to be tapped for the open Conan O’Brien slot on Late Night. There was talk that Carson Daly was hoping for the nod, but Fallon seems to have major network support. I actually think this could be a good spot for him because now he won’t have to worry about those silly things like lines, looking at the camera too often or trying to steal the scene, because it will already be all about him. 3 – Yesterday I showed up two hours ahead of time for a performance at Amoeba Records in Hollywood by the comedy genius of Flight of the Conchords, but it turns out I hugely underestimated the drawing power of Norwegian Folk/Comedy Duos because they hit max capacity with hundreds of people, including my sad self, still waiting down the block. Ah well, at least I know they are going to have a second season of their HBO show and a new album just came out. If you have funny bones, go wake them up again with their new material.

4 – It’s time to go back to Middle Earth! Del Toro has officially signed on to direct the back-to-back prequels of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit stories. No word yet on casting or anything else like that, but his official signing is a huge step for this seemingly perilous production. I wouldn’t expect to see a finished product out of this until 2010 or so, but we’ll be hungry for it by then. Hmmm…when should I get in line for tickets. Next week? [via Defamer via Variety]

5 – I actually thought this case was over, but it seems I was way off. Wesley Snipes was just sentenced to three years in jail for tax evasion charges in FL. This was the maximum sentence allowed and it truly feels like the judge was trying to send a message to the rich and the famous. No word on any type of sentencing appeal, but I would be more worried about that judge waking up with Blade standing over his bed growling at him. [via Starpulse]

7 – The first half of the final Harry Potter movie has just gotten a release date of Nov. 19, 2010. At first I was angry because that is such a long time away, but I quickly remembered that there is still one more movie in between that will reach the screen and keep the palettes happy. 10 – There are tactless people in this world and then there are those who are just plain ignorant. A man who runs an online gun shop, the very same one that sold the guns to the shooter at the VA Tech massacre, chose to give a speech yesterday on that very same campus about holding onto the second amendment right to bear arms. He argued that students on college and university campuses should all be allowed to carry concealed weapons since they have the right to defend themselves, but let me just ask, who the hell are they defending themselves from?! The people they are afraid of being shot by are the very people you sold the guns to first! The abuse and retardation of the second amendment exists now solely as a black hole of violence and pain that feeds on itself and draws more and more people into its grips by the day. [via CNN]

For SONY’s new TV spot, which airs May 1st, they filled three city blocks with foam. This just looks fun. And to think someone is getting paid to make this. Ahh, the good life.

Check out Fallon London’s new commercial called the Foam City for Sony Bravia.  The only thing that could top this commercial would be getting the chance to be in Miami for the filming of it.  See what you think…

And don’t forget this oldie but goodie for Sony called Bouncy Balls.

Salió nomás “Foam City”, del mostro Juan Cabral. Y es hora de retractarme. En buena hora. Con la humildad que se merece un aviso en el que trabajó una crew de 150 personas más los 200 actores más la gente de la agencia más bla bla bla, digo que no me gustó, que me resultó más de lo mismo, que no lo vi como un paso adelante ni en la carrera de Cabral ni en la comunicación de Sony.
A ver: para qué está la publicidad: ya lo habíamos hablado antes. Para individualizar, para “marcar” una marca y hacerla única. Pero también para que esa marca crezca respecto del mercado y respecto de ella misma. En ese sentido, el comercial de los edificios explotando pintura fue una excelente segunda parte del famosísimo Balls. Porque propuso lo mismo pero desde otro lado. Porque fue atractivo y porque fue de alguna manera inolvidable también.

Paréntesis: hablando de continuación de campañas. A que no vieron esta de Bravia, hecha en y para Egipto en la línea de “Colour like no other”? Je, los agarré, neófitos. Está buena, bastante.
Sigo con lo que venía.

Pero acá me parece que no. Y eso que pintaba bien desde lo disruptivo: llenar una ciudad balnearia de espuma, de nieve.
Pero terminó siendo poco atractivo. Sí, está bien filmado, pero no sé… no hay imágenes para el recuerdo (como el payaso corriendo por Glasgow en los edificios explotando paint), no hay una gran banda sonora. No sé. Me había ilusionado mucho y terminó siendo un producto bueno, digno, interesante, buenazo. Pero no la bomba termonuclear que estaba esperando. Más que nada por ver qué hacía para superar esa maravilla con música de Iron Maiden que te dejaba los ojos y los oídos más que felices.

A internet inova ao trazer para as empresas a resposta imediata e o contato direto com seus consumidores. O seu atual estágio – a chamada web 2.0 indica rejeição ou aceitação espontânea em tempo real de uma marca. Ninguém mais terá dúvidas se um produto é bom baseado em pesquisas encomendadas.  Basta procurar no Google, pesquisar comunidades no Orkut, consultar blogs ou perguntar no Yahoo Respostas. E isso, de certo modo, assusta.

Resultado?  Em pouquíssimo tempo os vídeos gravados pelos convidados viraram febre na internet, atingindo um grande número de pessoas . E o melhor: com baixíssimo custo. Hoje, com o lançamento da campanha (veja abaixo), blogs como Blue Bus, Brainstorm9 e Comunicadores de plantão, comentaram o resultado da campanha e a iniciativa que já haviam divulgado. 

É preciso ouvir para entender seus clientes.

A internet está influenciando as decisões de compra de consumidores.  Por isso, é necessário monitorar, dialogar e saber como lidar com esse  tipo público. Anos atrás checávamos e-mail, consultávamos extratos bancários, comprávamos ingresso para cinema. Hoje não saímos de casa sem consultar o site da balada antes. 

O movimento é ascendente e é preciso pensar em longo prazo. Só não podemos esquecer que se tratando de novas tecnologias o futuro já está acontecendo. E tempo, como sempre, é dinheiro.

Ya tenemos nuevo anuncio de la gente de Sony.

Nos sorprendieron en su día con aquella cuesta invadida por miles de pelotas de colores, con aquel edificio en el que se iban sucediendo explosiones de pintura, o con aquellos conejitos saltarines.

Y en este caso, han decidido inundar de espuma las calles de Miami, haciendo las delicias de todo aquél que pasara por allí. Si es que siempre me pierdo estas cosas…

Para conseguir dicho efecto, han contado con la mayor máquina de espuma del mundo, capaz de crear 2.000.000 de litros de espuma por minuto, o lo que es lo mismo, llenar una piscina olímpica en 24 segundos.

No está nada mal, aunque no quiero ver esa máquina el día que se estropee y pierda el control.

This commercial makes me want a Sony camera!  The video was shot by over 200 Miami locals using a variety of Sony cameras after the streets were flooded with foam…

I suppose it had to happen sometime. The other ads were too iconic and the buzz was too big. I suppose even Mozart had an off day now and then. Even Rembrandt. Even Tori Amos…

If I had to sum up my response to the first of the Foam City ads it a single word, it would be “meh”. I’m suspicious though and I think there’s something up their sleeves still. The spot is short, really almost more of a teaser compared to the others – it’s only a minute long. We haven’t seen the end of any of this yet. Maybe this foam thing is all an elaborate ruse, and they’ve really filled a Hawaiian volcano with multi-coloured confetti and streamers and filmed it erupting glitter into the air while the rest of were watching suds in Miami. Maybe?

Despite the fact that I’m a little underwhelmed, it’s still better than almost any other advertising you’ll see. My reaction to this is a lot like watching “Eyes Wide Shut” – bad Kubrick is still better than almost anything else. Being a little less of a genius is still more genius than most of us. And with that, here’s the spot…

Wel, na heel wat getwitter, geblog en getease is het dan eindelijk zo ver. De derde vierde grote Sony commercial is klaar. Na de balls en paint waren de verwachtingen ietwat hooggespannen, maar het resultaat is gewoonweg teleurstellend. Misschien wordt het tijd om me tot het boeddhisme te bekeren.

Don’t get high hopes and watch it.

En voor Sony: Tijd om uit een ander vaatje te tappen.
