believe me jake cuenca has something to do about this post. jake pic taken at bench store gateway mall.

so bridget was in town again (she leaves monday) and our beach getaway became a manila tour which later on became a super late binondo lunch and videoke session coz the booking office in gateway bridget got her tickets from is a bit inept. anyway, we arrived in binondo by 2pm and after parking rode a pedicab to wai ying fastfood in ongpin. 50 bucks for the pedicab ride. wow. we should have walked.

the food is quite authentic but not that great. dimsum was ok and the spareribs too. but the chinese restos in malls are much better. we just wanted the china town feel of it all.

i suddenly missed hap chang near the midtown side of robinson’s ermita. they had the best steamed fish ever. soooo tender and enough richness and oiliness of the sauce and the taste is just unbelievable. they also had this really cute waiter who looked like jake cuenca (told you)!!!! too bad they changed managements and i dunno what happened to the fish and more importantly, to waiter jake.

after wai ying we went to eng bee tin (why was the store smelling that way?) and to binondo church then did 2 hours of videoke at music bank in timog (nice place, clean and cheerful staff!)… then went to bridget’s place in katipunan and had dinner with her parents then watched mmk (part 2 of ninoy-cory story) and pbb.

of course i don’t have to tell you about the stories and jokes shared and the laughter all in between. there’s nothing like sharing a day with old friends and talking about the past especially the funny silly things that are pretty much blackmail material.

Incredible food, great panoramic views, ample parking, convenient location, and home to Saipan’s best steaks — this is how the Revolving Restaurant 360 can be best described to anyone who is looking for that perfect place for an enjoyable lunch or dinner.

360 Revolving Restaurant Consulting Chef Hubert S. Friedle said that a lot of changes has been done to the lunch and dinner menu for the past weeks.
“We have so many new items on our menu to suit the tastes of all individuals from all age groups,” Friedle said.
Dining at the 360 Revolving Restaurant is like dining at the top of the world where the best of everything is at your fingertips.
Highly recommended are the Chef’s specials (from $17 and up) including Chicken Chop, Pork Tenderloin in Vodka sauce, blackberries and orange fillets, Fillet Mignon, Mediterranean Spiced, Roast NZ Lamb Rack, the 360 steak “Steve,” beef tenderloin tips “Stroganoff”, Pork Loin Cordon Bleu. You can splurge your way up to the delectable $80 “surf and turf” live Maine lobster and CAB tenderloin steak. All specials are served with rice, French fries, baked or mashed potatoes, and vegetables of the day.
For $9.95, diners can avail of the daily 360 Lunch Club specials which include choices of Breaded Mahi-Mahi sticks in the basket, French fries and tartare; Double-layered ham, peppers and Cheese Quesadilla with salsa and sour cream and Jalapenos; Ceasar salad with grilled chicken or Mahi-Mahi, or Spaghetti Bolognese with garlic bread.
I ordered the grilled Mahi-Mahi with Spaghetti. It was served in a huge platter, the servings so generous that there was no chance I could consume everything by myself no matter how hungry I was.
Add a few bucks more to avail of the super deal ($14) for lunch and get hamburger steak with mushroom sauce, fried egg, rice and vegetables with soup or salad starter.
The 360 Revolving Restaurant menu also carries a wide selection of starter soups and salads, appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, pasta and pizza, special menu for the kids, and seafood creations. Go for the superb steaks from $15 Sirloin steak to the 360 favorite — the 16 oz. Certified Angus Beef Rib Eye for $38.
After a satisfying meal, you can’t say no to any of the sweet temptations – ice cream scoops or the 360 Chocolate Mousse for $4, Peach Melba for $4.50, rainbow ice cream cake at $5.5 or fruit and sherbet as available.

Customer service a priority

Food and service at the 360 Revolving Restaurant gets better all the time as the management focuses on instilling on its its staff the importance of customer service.
“Everyone in the restaurant has specific functions but we instill to them that whatever they are tasked to do, we share the common goal of giving customer satisfaction because that is what counts the most,” Friedle said.

Quality in every bite

The 360 Restaurant serves only Certified Angus Beef.
“We serve only high quality meat with a distinct taste in every bite that customers come back for again and again, and we never fail to satisfy our customers,” he said.
He added that the 360 Revolving Restaurant stands true to its commitment of serving only the best.
“If its steak, it should be Certified Angus Beef and the 360 Revolving Restaurant is the place to go to,” Friedle said.
With the approaching holidays, Friedle said the 360 Restaurant is coming up with tailored packages to help families and groups celebrate and fit the budget. The restaurant can accommodate a minimum of 75 persons to a maximum of 110 persons.
The 360 Revolving Restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5-10 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 5-10 p.m. for dinner on Saturday.
For reservations or inquiries, visit the 360 Revolving Restaurant at the 8th Floor of Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe, call 287-4639, 285-0360 or 234-3600 or visit www.360saipan.com.

Everything fresh from the sea from seaweeds, shells to fish are offered in a very affordable price. When it comes to dining, seafood delights are certainly at the top of the tri-kadas menu.

Off we go to Macapagal Avenue where this charming and spacious restaurant is located. Easy accessible from all directions, commuters will have no problem getting there since busses and jeepneys regularly ply the stretch of the Macapagal Avenue. Bringing your own car won’t be a hassle since a large parking area is situated in the immediate vicinity. Robbie’s is just one of the many restaurants that line this area. Others present’s almost the same food as Robbie’s but the difference is perfectly clear once crowds of people starts marching in. And we are one of those throngs of people who descend to this place to experience their delectable foods.

Tri-kada at Robbies

Clean and brightly lit surroundings welcomes weary and hungry guests to this place. Upon entering one will have the impression that he’s in a very classy yet homely place that immediately beckons anyone to relax and have fun while enjoying their favorite seafood treats. Draperies of soft immaculate white linen dangles from the corners and extends to the whole part of the ceiling covering its entirety. To complement this, red light coming from chandeliers made from capiz shells and turn of the century- styled white lamps adds to the romantic ambiance of the whole place. Fully air-conditioned rooms definitely add to the appetite of the customers.

Let’s talk about the staff. Neatly groomed waiters and waitresses clad in black pants and shirts attentively serve the customers presenting the menu with candor and enthusiasm. Always alert and or sensitive to the customers needs, they are one more reason why this joint is frequently visited.

Wait a minute they still have more surprises in store, we were ushered outside to a large “kubo” that can accommodate about a dozen people. If you want to dine here its free of charge. Eating al fresco is definitely a must for customers. Feel the cool breeze of the winds blowing from the Manila Bay.

Here’s the gist and unique in this kind of place, after ordering, the staff then would go to a nearby market to buy the raw ingredients to be cooked. In short, what you are actually eating is fresh catch from the ocean. Superb!

The Foods!!!

By our own estimate, a P2, 000 budget would be enough to satisfy the appetite of a large family. The staff informed us that it would take about 15 to 20 minutes for the orders to start coming in, just a small time to wait considering the sumptuous treat that awaits us. While waiting one can elapse the time by admiring the beautiful surrounding, glorious servings of oceanic delicacies satisfied our cravings.

Giant prawn tempuras dipped in sweet and sour sauce is my favorite. Other bestsellers are the lapu-lapu with sauce, spicy crab, baked tahong and many more.

Tri-kada loves eating!

Going to its fourth year, Robbie’s definitely mastered the art of treating people excellently. Robbie’s indeed lives up to its expectations and exceeded it even more.

Rodel: I would go for an 8, the ambiance where we ate are great because we have a great view of the manila bay at the back, customers can choose whether they like to be in an air-conditioned room or a more fresh air environment. I definitely love the bake tahong. The price is just right and affordable. And the good thing is – it’s open till 3am so if you felt hungry in the middle of the night, this place could be the answer to your problem.

Rice cakes are so famous in Korea that you’d always see them in K-dramas. But we also have our version of it in the form of, Puto. & it’s one of my favorite foods. There are actually many variations of this but its traditional form is of plain white color.

I like all kinds of Puto but my all-time favorite would have to be this one~

…so yummmmmmy!!! especially if there’s lots of cheese on top! oooohweee! too bad i can only indulge myself with this when i’m in the province or when my cousin comes here in Manila because he’s always obliged to bring me packs of it! & that sucks coz i’m so craving for one right now!ö boooo!

My friend and i were in Trinoma over the weekend and she wanted to try this yogurt chain that has been getting good reviews these days and it sure looks like its a hit here in the Philippines coz that place is certainly packed! I didn’t think i would say this but wow, i’m a yogurt lover now! …frozen yogurt that is!

I ordered a medium size plain yogurt topped with mangoes, sliced almonds and muesli! The combination is just WIN, WIN, WIN!ü The sweetness of the mangoes just goes well with the yogurt that is both sweet and sour and then you add the crunchiness of the muesli and almonds ~ ooohweee its just perfect! my friend on the other hand went for the green tea yogurt with kiwi and mangoes! Eeeeeew! lol.

It’s quite expensive though. Just the yogurt itself already costs P115 (medium). Of course that would be boring to eat so you have no choice but to pay more if you want some toppings! ..so that’s an additional P40 for the 3 toppings i wanted! But it definitely is worth every penny of it! So yummmmmy! Plus its a healthy kind of treat so no worries!

I forgot to take a picture of my perfect creation so i just took that random picture i saw on the net haha.

What kind of Food Are You”. O planuhin ang future gamit ang “When Will You die” app.

4. Magpa Kikay

Time for a make-over, let’s go ghels!

5. Last Resort: Mag book ng Flight Online at Umuwi na ng Pinas

Kapag walang magawa, lalong nakakahome sick ‘di ba?
