Football Manager 2010 mengharuskan kita memainkannya dengan menggunakan CD Masternya. Saya dapet ilmu dari salah seorang sahabat..biar CD tetep awet, dan kita memainkannya bisa lebih nyaman tanpa CD. Menurut survey, yang pake crack/patch sih banyak yang mengeluh. Setelah save game,otomatis langsung keluar,kalo mw lanjut ya harus load dulu.

Makanya lebih baek pake Virtual CD aja.Mari membuat Virtual CD Football Manager 2010

Syarat pertama, kita harus udah menginstall Daemon tools, atau software virtual disk yg laen. Di sini saya gak mau bahas cara install Daemon lho,..Gmana kalo belum install?ya install dulu lah, sama juga bo’ong kalo gak pake virtual CD. Nah, kalo udah install daemon sekarang install Nero. Itu lho,software buat burning DVD,.. Nah kalo daemon dan Nero udah terinstall, siapkan CD Master dari Football Manager 2010.

Kemudian buka DVDROM, lalu masukkan Football Manager. Jalankan software Nero. Pilih menu copy DVD, perhatikan sumber (source), pastikan terarah pada DVDROM tempat Master Football Manager. Loh, koq copy DVD?brarti harus siapin DVD blank donk?hehehe,..gak usah,kita kan mau bikin virtual masternya..pokoknya harus masuk ke copy DVD dulu deh,. Ups,jangan next dulu,skarang lihat ke bagian kiri bawah jendela Nero, perhatikan alamat dimana file “Tempimage.nrg” berada..kalo perlu dicatat..hehe,.cara nyarinya bwt yang pake nero di c/program file/ahead/nero/nero express/…..File ini yang nantinya kita pakai sebagai Virtual CD Football Manager.

Nah,baru deh jalankan copy DVDnya,..krik..krik..krik..tunggu sampe CDROM terbuka, dan Nero meminta kita memasukkan CD blank. Nah,kalo udah terbuka, jangan sentuh Nero nya. Kita langsung cari file TempImg.nrg tadi, kalo udah dapet langsung copy di hardisk tapi harus di folder yang lain ya,..Nah kalo udah,baru kita sentuh si Nero..kita cancel..cancel..cancel..mpe keluar dari Nero.

Oke, gak lupa kan dmana kita taruh copyan TempImg.nrg tadi?Skarang kita jalankan Daemon tools, kalo udah lihat pojok kanan bawah windows. Klik kanan lambang daemon tools, lalu pilih mount image. Kemudian cari file TempImg.nrg tadi,kemudian open. Nah,skarang kita bisa memainkan Football Manager tanpa CD Masternya, coz kita udah pake Virtual Cdnya..O iya, maaf gak pake gambar, males edit2nya..hehehe,..Selamat menikmati,.

It’s quite amazing that the last person to get onto the plane was actually given a window seat. No complains whatsoever, of course.

Well, after settling down from that pre-flight adventure, I caught my breath and got started on planning for next year. I can’t divulge information here so let’s just leave it at that. I decided to stop at 3am and to reward myself after such a dramatic evening, I clicked “Start New Game” on my newly purchased and installed Football Manager 2010. I know I’d regret embarking on this addiction but it’s the only game I play; I’ve built up quite a collection of original Football Managers since 2005.

It’s funny how guys connect via (fantasy) football; at 3:30am, after a glass of riesling and after putting unwanted players on transfer lists and putting in bids for desired players, the passenger sitting beside me decided to break the ice with me. I actually had the feeling that he would because of the occasional glances at my laptop.

“The new Football Manager, ah?”

I think it went something like that. Well, I shall not reveal his name or initials (because he might read this and I don’t want to embarrass him) but I’d like to think that it was a pretty divine appointment. He was my age and he also plays football and has a team. Like me, his girlfriend was from NTU and was doing her GIP in Shanghai. I think those common denominators were adequate for a good, long conversation.

The conversation naturally included what each of us do for a living. He’s a banker who used to serve as a youth leader in his church. He said he backslided a little and one reason why he’s heading to Shanghai is that his girlfriend, whose faith is a little stronger, wanted to help get him back on track in his walk with God. He also mentioned that he was getting a little tired of his job.

Well, I went on to share with him a glimpse of my journey towards full-time ministry and how important it was for me to pursue what was in my heart. I’m not sure if I’ve stated it on this blog before, but there is nothing more satisfying than waking up and going to bed every day and night knowing that you are in the centre of God’s will for your life. I feel like that at this point in my life.

Anyway, after hearing my sharing and after sharing his heart out to me about failed relationships, a collapsed ministry and a career standstill, he was also convinced that it was a timely and divine appointment (as he got onto this flight due to a last minute change). He told me that our conversation ignited a desire in him not only to get back on track with God, but to get his youth ministry restarted. How could I not beam with joy and praise God for His grace and goodness in blessing a 3-hour friendship?

We talked until the plane touched down in Shanghai and until the sun rose at 630am. I bade farewell to him at the baggage collection belt but I believe that we will keep in touch. On a side note, I’m pretty sure I will be able to share with him some of my youth ministry experiences as well as to get his church team to play against TeamR-AGE. I was extremely exhausted by the time I cleared customs but this encounter was worth losing sleep for. God used a random person like me in a random situation to draw His child back to Himself.

Właśnie strzelił trzydzieści goli dla Newcastle United, zdobył z Melbourne Victory Puchar Australii, a dosłownie kilka dni temu odebrał nagrodę dla króla strzelców belgijskiej Jupiler League. – Jestem bardzo zadowolony, że zdobyłem to trofeum – stwierdził Polak na konferencji prasowej

Byłym napastnikiem naszej reprezentacji zachwycają się menedżerowie z całego świata. – Zatrudniłem Smolarka, bo to świetny piłkarz. Krótko po podpisaniu kontraktu strzelił dla mojej drużyny 19 bramek. Został królem strzelców i trafił do “jedenastki” sezonu. W kolejnym wystarczyło mu kilka spotkań, by zanotować 13 trafień. Tak głośno o Smolarku nie było już dawno. W reklamie skierowanej do wszystkich menedżerów świata, którą zamieścił portal Losonderkids.com, czytamy: “Smolarek to zawodnik o wątpliwej reputacji, znany z krnąbrnej postawy i chciwej natury. Wydaje się, że jego czas już minął i na pewno nie zrobi prawdziwej kariery. Ale ty możesz to zmienić! Weź go do klubu. Ma tak niezwykłą umiejętność wykańczania akcji z zimną krwią, że na pewno zrobi ci się gorąco, jak będziesz przeglądał rubrykę z liczbą strzelonych przez niego goli”.

Jak to się stało, że z dnia na dzień na punkcie Smolarka oszalał cały świat? Przecież jeszcze niedawno słyszeliśmy, że nie mógł znaleźć sobie klubu, bez skutku pukając do bram HSV Hamburg, CSKA Sofia, a nawet Polonii Bytom. Odpowiedź jest prosta. Ebi króluje w świecie wirtualnym, w którym miliony użytkowników gry Football Manager 2010, takich jak Fudge, Anonim z Lancashire, Peter i Foo, za pomocą komputera zmieniają się w menedżerów piłkarskich. I pracę zaczynają od zatrudnienia Polaka.

- Smolarek w grze, tak samo jak w rzeczywistości, nie ma klubu. Dlatego menedżer, który kompletuje sobie drużynę, może go wziąć za darmo. A drugiego zawodnika “za friko” z takimi parametrami i statystykami po prostu w grze nie ma – tłumaczy fenomen wirtualnego Ebiego Rafał Kowalewski z oficjalnej polskiej strony gry – Cmrev.com.

Kowalewski wspomina, że w poprzednich edycjach na takiej samej zasadzie rządził były reprezentant Polski, Wojciech Kowalczyk, a ostatnio były gracz m.in. Interu i Milanu, Nigeryjczyk Taribo West.

Kto odpowiada za ich ponadprzeciętne umiejętności? Specjalni researcherzy, których na zasadzie wolontariatu zatrudniają twórcy gry. – Postać Smolarka powstała dobrych kilka lat temu w Holandii, kiedy grał jeszcze w Feyenoordzie. Potem była co roku aktualizowana. Ostatnio prawdopodobnie przez researchera z Hiszpanii, bo ostatnim klubem Ebiego był hiszpański Racing Santander. Ktoś uznał, że jest bardzo dobry, biorąc pod uwagę chociażby jego wyniki w reprezentacji – tłumaczy Kowalewski.

A jak rzeczywistość wirtualna ma się do tej prawdziwej? Mariusz Piekarski, rzeczywisty menedżer piłkarski:

- Smolarek wymiata? Niemożliwe. To tylko gra, jego popularność w świecie wirtualnym w żaden sposób nie przekłada się na możliwości sprzedaży tego zawodnika w świecie realnym – mówi człowiek, który kiedyś sprowadził do Polski Rogera Guerreiro.

Vladuts este funny, e primul lucru pe care l-am observat la el (dupa ce mi-a luat o jumatate de ora sa-i analizez tricoul cu doi copii emo… why would you wear that?) si vine des la facultate (deci o ambitie  si sete de cunostinta demne de apreciat). De asemenea arunca cu coji de portocale in mine si doarme in cluburi )). Dupa CRParty, alt punct pe care vroiam sa-l ating in conglomeratul de informatii de azi, m-am dus revoltata la el reprosandu-i ca a plecat de la petrecere fara sa zica macar “ciao”. Si nu am fost singura. De fapt, Vladuts nu plecase inaintea noastra. El dormea langa DJ… periculos de aproape de DJ chiar..

Petrecerea in rest – geniala. Chiar nu ma asteptam sa ne distram atat de tare, si am promis sa repetam experienta, data viitoare poate chiar pe acordurile melodioase ale lui DJ Guster (care se zvoneste ca de fapt e mare fan Salam, faimosul lautar pe ritmuri de raggeton).

Apropo de linia cea prea subtire dintre dragoste si ura, simt nevoia de a enunta cateva cuvinte despre deja faimosul Vladuts, si faimosul-in-devenire-dupa-ce-va-fi-mentionat-pe-acest-blog-cu-valoare-mondiala DJ Guster: chimia dintre ei este inevitabila. Desi V. mai are antecedente (hints Sergiu) tot bataile dintre cei doi par cele mai “rupte din rai”. It’s Thursday 15th January 2009, and I’m sitting in my underwear playing Football Manager. I’m doing this because the previous day, I finished my exams for semester one, and have nothing better to do. It’s not that they were particularly draining or important. I figured I had scraped through History of Latin America by virtue of the only topic I knew anything about appearing on the exam paper, while translation had been a ‘morceau de pipi’ (piece of piss, for those not in the know). I was just playing for the sake of it, really. Football Manager is a horrible game. It wastes away hours of your life in frustration as your virtual players ignore you and your virtual club fucks you about. Even better, the game is kind enough to tell you exactly how many days, hours and minutes you have wasted on it every time you load a saved file. It also offers helpful, sarcastic tips, such as “time to change your underwear”. Well, I wasn’t going to be dictated to by a computer game. So there I was, sat in my dirty underwear, playing a computer game I was coming to hate, when my phone vibrated. This was not in any way an exciting event. Normally, it meant a text from one of four people: my mum, my dad, the phone company, or Louise, a French girl I had had an interest in. But to my mild surprise, it was from none of those candidates. It was from Dave, a friend of mine from school, saying he would be in Lyon the next day, and asking if I would be free to come out for a drink. The two of us had been at school together and although we’d never been massively close, we got on really well and I considered him a good mate. Like my entire group of friends, he had a nerdy side, sharing my passion for history and jokes of dubious taste. He studied History, combined with Politics, at York University, and was taking an Erasmus year in the town of Clermont Ferrand, not far from Lyon. Nonetheless, when I read his text, I wasn’t massively keen. For starters, going out would mean getting dressed, which I was dead against. But weighing more heavily on my mind was the fact that myself and my mate Andy were going travelling on Sunday morning, heading first to Barcelona, and then making our way back to Lyon through the south of France. Andy was a friend of mine from Bristol who was living in the same halls as me. Back in the UK, we had worked together on French projects before, but outside of class we would both have preferred to avoid each other. Nothing personal, we just had different friends and didn’t really know each other. I remember in particular the Languages Ball the summer before, where I had ended up tagging onto Andy’s group due to having only bought my ticket in order to go with a girl who would later turn me down. An awkward night was had by all. But since we had been living together, we found we had a lot in common, in particular a virulent cynical streak, and became good friends. I was pretty excited about going travelling, and wanted to save as much money as I could for it, hence my lack of enthusiasm when Dave told me of his plans. Nonetheless, when a mate says he’s coming to your town, you can’t really sack him off, so I replied to Dave saying that I would be up for a drink. I asked Andy if he fancied coming too – I think his initial reply was something along the lines of “I didn’t know you had any friends”, or something equally twattish. He also appeared loath to leave his Football Manager game (both of us were addicted), but I was able to persuade him to come out for a quick drink. So at around 6.30pm, we set off to meet Dave at a bar in town called Ninkasi. It was a favourite of mine, due to the fact that they brewed their own beers which were like nectar from heaven, or at the very least, good beer. So the three of us got a pitcher of Ambrée, and sat and chatted. Mostly it was me and Dave catching up, and sharing stories of France; Andy later told me he was incredibly bored for most of the time, and wished Dave would shut up. While we were there, Dave mentioned that three friends from Clermont Ferrand had come with him, but were back at the hostel. They were, however, planning on going out later – I’d be up for coming out, wouldn’t I? At the time, the answer was ‘No, not really’, as I said to Andy while Dave was in the toilet. I was trying to work out how I could bail on him. But we went back to the hostel, where Dave said we could do some pre-drinking, and I searched for excuses. When we arrived at the youth hostel, it became clear that it was not a viable pre-drinking destination: having stayed there myself, I knew alcohol wasn’t allowed in the rooms, and the bloke on the desk wouldn’t let me and Andy up to Dave’s room as we weren’t guests. So Dave suggested we go to my halls to drink, which weren’t far away, and I had no choice but to agree. He went to fetch his friends, and I stood around the reception of the hostel, feeling superior to the hordes of gap-yearers and traveller wankers. At this point, I had no idea who Dave’s friends were; I only knew that they were on Erasmus too at Clermont Ferrand. I suppose what I’m trying to say, is that I was expecting three blokes to appear. Instead, he came back with two girls and a morose looking guy, and did the normal introductions. There was Katie, a hyperactive tiny little Irish girl. The morose guy was apparently called Tom – his voice matched his appearance. And there was Jen. I’m not going to launch into a description of her now, as though I saw her and fell in love on the spot, because I didn’t. At the time she didn’t really register with me that much. As we set off up the hill to my halls, me and Dave left the others behind as we carried on chatting and went on ahead.

…og jeg er FM-holiker. Jeg har ikke spilt på tre måneder.

Misbruket begynte i 1993, med Championship Manager på Amiga. I begynnelsen trodde jeg at jeg kunne kontrollere det.

Bare et par timer i dag og. Det går bra.

Jeg var ung, så nattesøvnen var ikke noe stort problem. Jeg kunne alltids ta en kjapp lur rett etter skoletid og vente med leksene.

Så fort en ny versjon var i butikkene, løp jeg. Jeg klarte meg ikke uten siste oppdatering og nye funksjoner. Og ja, dette spillet kjøpes!

Etter noen år, endret jeg innkjøpspolitikken noe. Jeg prøvde å skjule avhengigheten ved å gi meg selv årets utgave til jul, med hilsen fra Julenissen. Denne strategien fungerte perfekt, og ingen fattet mistanke til at jeg hadde et problem.

Jeg fikk samboer og etter hvert kone, og da fikk jeg mer hjelp til å skjule misbruket, helt uten å jobbe for det. Den bedre halvdelen begynte nemlig å gi meg siste utgave av FM til jul! Dermed slapp jeg unna den dårlige samvittigheten også. Det var jo ikke min skyld at hun ville være snill!

Etter hvert ble det barn også, noe som førte til mindre spilletid. Det var nok til det bedre for familien, men jeg har ikke klart å holde meg helt unna, og det har blitt mer periodemisbruk.

Når jeg nå har klart å holde meg unna i 3 måneder, merker jeg suget igjen. I tillegg nærmer det seg jul. FM 2010 er i butikkene, og jeg har siklet på det en stund. Jeg har til og med kjøpt andre spill for å prøve å erstatte hungeren etter FM, men det er ingen ting som varer særlig lenge.

Jeg tror jeg trenger en sponsor. Hva gjør jeg om jeg får det jul i år og? Skal jeg be om å ikke få det? Men det er jo så deilig…

Permainan Assulin yang luar biasa membuat ia disebut-sebut sebagai The New Messi. Sejumlah klub besar di Eropa sedang mengirim pemandu bakat untuk mengamati perkembangannya.

Pemain kelahiran Bucaramanga,Kolombia ini adalah pemain muda berbakat yang membela tim Atletico Bucaramanga. Pemain ini memiliki skill permainan yang sangat tinggi. Ia didaulat sebagai penerus Kaka meskipun belum banyak orang yang tahu. Video permainannya dapat dilihat di Youtube.com .

Pemain yang disebut sebagai The Next Adriano ini bermain di Flamengo. Di tim ini bakatnya mulai terlihat dan terasah. Bruno Mezenga meruapakan pemain termuda yang melakukan debut di tim inti Flamengo dalam sejarah Flamengo.

Sebenarnya masih banyak lagi pemain-pemain muda berbakat yang belum disorot publik tetapi, saya hanya mampu menuliskan sedikit saja.

Nah, klub-klub Eropa lebih baik kalian beli pemain-pemain Wonderkid seperti ini agar regenerasi dunia sepakbola dapa berjalan dengan baik.

Jika tidak percaya anda dapat mencari video pemain di Youtube.com dan meyaksikannya, memainkan game komputer Football Manager 2010 juga membantu mencari banyak pemain muda berbakat. Sejumlah pelatih ternama acap Sir Alex Ferguson dan Arsene Wenger juga memainkan game ini.

Ja, jag vet. Laptops är inte gjorda för att spela kraftfulla spel. Det kan hända att de kraschar då och då. Men en gång, bara en gång, skulle jag vilja att det gjorde så när det går dåligt i mitt FM, och inte mitt i den episka insats som avbrutit en längre tids formsvacka fylld av absurda motgångar och urrton ramträffar och bortdömda mål av min would-be-skyttekung. Kan vi enas om det, världens jävlighet?

Messa är ute och roar okungligt ikväll. Hon är på Hairspray, nån sorts musikal hon inte ens försökte övertala mig att följa med på, hela kvällen och istället ska jag underhålla Messas lillasyster Smelly som kommer hit om en stund. Det kan bli… intressant.

Eftersom det har inkommit orimligt många sökningar på FM2010 +Hidingsta under veckan så tar jag mitt ansvar och ställer upp en liten vägskylt. Här ska ni leta. (Och om någon sen orkar pilla in Den Gula Maskinen i rätt fyra (och kanske rentav med rätt trupp) så vill jag gärna ha XML-filen också.)

I have not really been a gamer since my teens and even then I never really liked platform or fighting games. I only ever really played stuff like Football Manager or Sim City where there was a life to the game and a sense that you were actually trying to achieve.

Now I am sure there are adults out there whose youth was all about killing zombies or watching plumbers wrestle gorillas – and still do today – but, for most adults, gaming seems to have become about a test of our senility and to prove that Alzheimers is not kicking in yet.

Look at the Wii for example. It has been marketed for women – thank Germaine Gwiier for that one – and is all about people interacting or showing off their mental skills. It says ‘look at me i am not getting old, i am down with the kids’.

The Nintendo DS has brain games. I see adults on the tube trying to show that they can still do basic arithmetic and put a square peg in a square hold – when they have spent their days with clients trying to get it in to a round one.

My current fave is Ninja Glove on Miniclip.com. It is infuriating and basic but makes you think quick and show off that your brain does have cells remaining. However it also requires some speed with a mouse.

So my brain may be working but my body is no longer adept at clicking fast enough. It’s like old people getting run over! Think about it!

An old person stands at side of road and sees no cars coming. So they wait. They are saying to themselves they can go but the body has not reacted yet. Eventually the body catches up and they set off across the road. To them it has been a millionth of a second but to the world it has been about 2 minutes, so they step in to road and run in to an articulated lorry. Harsh but true.

So what am i saying? Hey who said this blog has to make sense. Hope to take something from it.

Football Manager is a series of football management simulation games developed by Sports Interactive and published by SEGA. The game began its life in 1992 as Championship Manager; however, following the break-up of their partnership with original publishers Eidos, Sports Interactive lost the naming rights and re-branded the game Football Manager with their new publishers Sega.

Acum ceva vreme am scris un articol intitulat Chloe , pentru ca m-a inspirat o rochie vazuta intr-un magazin. Ei sunt oamenii care imi creeaza mie zambetul, care scriu in fiecare zi un pic de istorie pe paginile aurite ale ultimului numar din Vogue, care ma fac pe mine sa am mai multa incredere in mine, atunci cand ma ia de brat Ladybag-ul meu.

Pentru mine, sunt niste genii pentru ca munca lor de zi cu zi ma transforma in fiecare dimineata, din tipa aia care vrea sa mai doarma in cea care stie ca arata genial azi! Si pentru cei care n-au stiut nici de aceasta data sa citesca printre randuri, nu ma refer la brandul care te imbraca, pentru ca trust me, si geanta aia pe care tocmai ti-ai luat-o din Obor a plecat de la una din ideile lor, sau daca nu a fost ideea  acestor 3 designeri, a fost a altora ca ei..

Morals: inainte sa iti pierzi timpul judecand/blamand industria modei pentru “superficialitatea” ei, gandeste-te cu ce esti tu mai bun decat o industrie care functioneaza de sute de ani? Esti mai bun decat oamenii care au gandit chilotii pe care ii porti acum?

Uhm, Football Manager stuff.

Didn’t have the most extravagant summer really, obviously I got Sanchez/Huddlestone/van Persie in for frees, then I looked around for decent youngsters and got a fair few in, my favourite being an eighteen year old centre back from Man City who looks like he could be perfect in a year or two, he’s probably good enough at the moment. I got a 25 year old striker for free too who my scouts and assistant said was a Definite Purchase, he looks shit, but he’s only on £2,800 a week so it doesn’t matter really.

After barely spending anything all summer, my board gave me an extra £30million to spend so decided it was time to go and get Cesc, boom. £56million isn’t cheap really but I don’t need the money, he’s still only 24 and I’ve wanted him for years.

Had an alright start to the season, three wins and one defeat from my first four league games, won the Italian and European Super Cups, I can’t decide on my starting eleven though which is annoying.

What else? Ah, yesterday I was making some chips and mushy peas, was having a bit of difficulty (our tin opener sucks) so decided to batter the top in with a knife. That was a mistake. Eventually and inevitably I plunged the knife into my hand, hmm. Such a moron. Anyway, it hurt a ridiculous amount, I went to get water, knocked my pans off and went to get Arwell as I was convinced I was going to pass out/faint, as I went really light headed and felt dizzy/sick. Eurgh, had a sit down, drank some water and talked for a bit and eventually felt fine ish. As it was quite a deep wound Arwell started feeling sick too, brilliant. It’s still sore now, especially when I try and grab/hold something with that hand, but it’s ok.

It was the bit between my thumb and index finger, here’s a pic, I won’t post the pic, just a link in case people don’t like things like that.

I’ve watched so much football/NFL over the last week-ish, and playing tomorrow night! Exciting! Been too long, still feeling a bit rubbish but hopefully I’ll play okay.

I make no apologies for leaving it a week between blogs.  This makes a change from the norm as I usually feel quite guilty when I’ve not scribed any words for such a lengthy period of time.  Even us hard working unpaid bloggers need a break from the madcap cyber world around us and if truth be told I’ve had a rather fantastic week.  Fantastic in a middle aged don’t get out much bachelor kind of way.  I’m sure many of you have had far higher thrills than what I’ve experienced this past week although getting my beloved Cambridge United into the heady world of the championship sure takes some beating.

A while back I blogged complaining about my football manager game addiction and at the time it was severely irritating me since I had literally let it take over my entire existence for a considerable amount of time and was doing absolutely nothing creative.  Fast forward to November and my mind is much more at ease with itself and this past week I’ve been merrily playing the new game and mostly ignoring everything else going on around.  Sometimes it’s just wonderful to forget that the world outside is there  and do other pastimes such as reading, finishing the lyrics for my new batch of home recordings, listening to the radio, cooking some good food and going for lengthy walks in a rather splendid looking Thetford Forest.  My only regret is I haven’t had a game or two of chess against the computer (I simply cannot play both games simultaneously, boy I’ve tried!).  I can tell you’re impressed with what floats my boat in 2009.  I even broke a strict rule of thumb by having ITV on in HQ for some 8 hours on Sunday (corrie omnibus, footy, the James Bond film Octopussy and Harry Hill’s TV Burp).

On Saturday in the real world, I went to watch Cambridge United beat a plucky Ilkeston Town side in the FA Cup.  Our reward is another home tie against fellow Blue Square Premier side York City.  This is a big game for both former league clubs since the winner gets to play in the third round and the chance of generating some serious income as well as pitting our skills (using that word in the very loosest sense!) against one of the league big boys.  A trip to Old Trafford would be a jolly day out with the added attraction there would be a very faint and remote chance of turning Sir Alex Ferguson’s red face even redder.  However if we do make it, we’ll no doubt get some rubbish League One side away from home with little glamour or media patronization (more of in a bit!).

About ten minutes before kick off, I was greeted with the bizarre sight of around 30 hardcore Derby County hooligans who showed up.  Apparently if County aren’t playing (they beat Coventry 2-1 Friday night) they like nothing better than turning up where Ilkeston are playing for a spot of lunchtime binge drinking and afternoon fisticuffs.  I stood behind the wall where I flog programmes with an air of distinct nervousness; these chaps were not to be messed with.  Despite my burly status, I have the fighting prowess of Cedric Soft from adult comic Viz.  Being a fat bastard can be advantageous as troublemakers (never the sharpest tools in the box) usually think you’re a hard nut even if you’re not.  In the old fighting game, looks are definitely everything.  Then it occurred to me I had a considerable amount of potential beer money in my collection pouch which didn’t help my tension at all.  There was one policeman and one steward on show plus Dave my fellow programme seller.  Had it kicked off, I wouldn’t have fancied our chances!

These guys looked they meant business, all dressed in new-looking expensive designer gear (surely if your going to a football match with the intention of fighting, would it not be more sensible to wear shoddy clothes?) and despite the relative earliness of the day they were to put it blankly, completely hammered of the highest order.  Then the moment I dreaded happened; a completely inebriated hooligan came up to me and asked me how much a programme was… when I replied ‘three quid’ he launched into a tirade of expletives before scurrying off no doubt looking for a toilet or someone to punch which thankfully wasn’t me.

You could clearly see the mob in the away end, quite separate from the genuine Ilkeston fans that showed up in good numbers.  When Jai Reason scored a thunderous second goal for united, which put the match beyond reasonable doubt, they quickly disappeared.  Off to the city centre to cause more mischief and consume more lager, the little scamps.

I enjoyed the cup match ITV showed between Northwich Victoria and Charlton Athletic.  A real ‘David v Goliath’ affair, there were over 80 league places separating them.  The TV bosses and neutral armchair supporters got what they wanted; the underdogs from Cheshire put the Londoners firmly in their place gaining a deserved 1-0 win.  The FA cup remains a great competition despite being a little devalued in recent years but I despise the way the media patronize the smaller teams.  ITV (and their usual appallingly dreadful coverage) were more than predictable in this department harping on about Northwich’s assortment of postmen, plumbers, students etc.  If I could be bothered I really would campaign to have ITV banned from broadcasting any football ever.  I couldn’t sleep Sunday night as I tried in vain to work out how the likes of Jim Beglin, Andy Townsend and Robbie Earle ever got employment as pundits.  Must be some government funded scheme to keep them off the streets and out the pub.

Another reason for my self imposed exile with the new FM game was the astonishing success I’ve achieved with Cambridge.  I got three promotions and have the club in the top ten in the championship.  However it is definitely time to ease back on ridiculously lengthy sessions and play at a more acceptable rate I think!  I’ve found myself going through all emotions as usual including one memorable rant on Sunday as I was concluding a rather rigorous 14 hour session with an impressive determination I only wish I could adapt more in real life.

I was going for promotion from league one, needed a win out of my last 2 games to secure automatic promotion and avoid the lottery of the play offs.  Away at mid table playing for nothing Bradford City, the three points required should have been a mere formality but as is usual in sport, nothing is cast in stone.  We should be renaming them Real Bradford for the incredible way they played in a 2-0 demolishing where Cambridge were rather lucky to get the 0!  I was screaming ‘you f*cking cheating c*nting arse w*anker t*sser’ and various other expletives at my computer screen before pausing, taking a deep breath and thinking maybe I’m taking this just a little too seriously.

Thankfully got a win in the final game of the season and automatic promotion was mine.  I take great comfort from the fact I am not alone in letting emotions run so high when playing the game.  There is some fantastic footage on you tube of a German kid who literally goes ballistic when things don’t go his way, smashing his keyboard in the process! Even I don’t go that far!  So I’ve learned to live with the addiction, just need to keep it under control for now!

I’ve stopped beating myself up when I’m not as creative as I’d like, concluding you simply cannot force it.  Instead I just go with the flow and as a result feel much calmer inside.  The creativity comes when it comes; often when I least expect it I have the desire to do some writing or bash away at some music.  Peace at last.

Az önce televizyondan öğrendim vefat haberini. Türk taraftarlarının aklında tabii ki Fenerbahçe’de ilk maçında yediği 3 golden sonra gönderilmesi yatar. Evet, bende hatırlıyorum o maçı. Büyük bir talihsizlikti. Football Manager oynayan birisi olarak favori kalecilerim arasına girmişliğide vardır, gerçekten iyi oynuyordu.

Allah rahmet eylesin, ölümü hakkında her ünlü şahsiyetin arkasından kaldığı gibi çok çeşitli spekülasyonlar var, TRT 2 araba kazası dedi, ölen kızının acısıyla tren altına atlayıp intihar ettiğini söyleyenlerde var, hastalığı yüzünden öldüğünü de… Ama gerçek şu ki, o artık yaşamıyor.

The Guv’nor

Woo, three titles in a row, won the Champions League this year too, the final was at San Siro which was nice. Owen netted for me in a 1-0 win, he was only playing as Vela/Messi were both fucked.

I ended up with 87 points, winning by ten points, quite pleased really, as Ochoa/Torres/Vela/Messi/Terry/Vidic all missed a fair amount of games at one point or another. I lost the Italian Cup final which was the only annoying part of the season really.

I’ve got a few players leaving in the summer on free transfers (Pirlo is off to Barca being the main one) but have got Huddlestone, Sanchez and van Persie coming in for free. I wouldn’t mind getting another defender in and maybe another striker as back up, not really needed though.

Ah, after my last update I signed Ashley Cole, for £24million ish, he’s not played much, got injured, started booing so he’s been loaned to Arsenal. Not my finest hour, I’m hoping he’ll come back with a good attitude, but I’m not holding my breath.

Also, Inter only finished fifth so they’ve missed out on the Champs League which pleased me almost as much as winning it myself.
