“Take my hand. It’s okay, don’t be scared.”

“Where are we going?”

“Somewhere they can’t hurt us.”

“But I’ll hurt us…”

“You won’t.”

“How do you know that?”

“Because i trust you. And maybe i know you a little better than you do.”

Take my hand. It’s okay, don’t be scared. We’re going somewhere they can’t hurt us. We’re going somewhere warm. I know you hate the cold. Another thing we have in common. We’re going somewhere we’ll be alone. I know you hate people. So do i. Funny how we have so many in common. Coincidence? Doubt it. There’s no such thing.

I always hurt. Myself, you, everyone. I don’t want to. I keep doing the same things over and over again. It’s like something is in my head, and it’s making me forget. I’m always so impulsive. I got that from my dad. I got his temperament too. I wish i could be more like my mom…

Did i tell you how perfect i think you are for me? I think you are more than perfect for me.

Keep me safe while i sleep. And I’ll keep you safe while you sleep. You look so peaceful when you sleep. And innocent. Just like a child. I love watching you sleep and cradling you in my arms. “And I’m wondering what you’re dreaming/ Wondering if it’s me you’re seeing”.

I wish i could be your heroine, just like you are my hero.

The thinking of the modification? Look up your first project are directly above you. That's right. Its ceiling is often overlooked aspect seriously look of a house. While the walls, floors and exterior work is important when it comes to remodeling a house, often when all these functions have been renovated and are complete and the old ceiling remains, the whole house may be incomplete. An upper limit can be a house look like old-fashioned and dated. At the same timeTime, a new, up-to-date ceiling can be the last puzzle piece that serves as the finishing touch for your transformation. This article will discuss alter removal of the original ceiling, replacement options for a new ceiling, and the benefits of this change.

The first thing you need to do when planning on a blanket transformation to remove the existing ceiling is. There are many books and websites out there that will assist you in removing your original ceiling. The books are not available-it-yourselfWeb sites and in popular home improvement stores everywhere.
TheNext decision is made to when you remove the old roof, new ceiling must be replaced. Much like when you replace flooring or wall covering, there are many different ways the ceiling types. Texturing, tin or aluminum, and painted for a smooth are just a few of the options that exist when choosing a ceiling to be replaced. Just as there are books on the removal of ceilings, there are so many books that help, like giving to the ceiling, which you remove to replace. WhateverChoose, it should go well with the style of the house.

It’s Friday afternoon about three o’clock. The sun is beating down on you as you finish

It’s Friday afternoon about three o’clock. The sun is beating down on you as you finish packing your car. It’s vacation day and your kids aren’t letting you forget that; the constant question asking and “Daddy hurry up!”’s are hindering you from completing your goal: getting your portable DVD player to work.

That’s a scenario I’m sure a lot of families have. Maybe you can relate too. Portable electronics such as DVD players, laptops, and small TV’s are all great on road trips but they all share one fatal requirement: power. That sounds like an easy problem right? Wrong. Most portable electronics come with your standard wall plug-in, which is something that just about every vehicle doesn’t have. So now you need a power inverter – something that not very many people have just lying around.

It’s probably time to get one.

Power inverters are great inventions that are life savers if you need to plug something in on the road. Power inverters are also fun to say. Power inverters. See, doesn’t that sound all technical? Anyway, there are different sizes of power inverters so it’s a good idea to pick one that has the necessary capacity to power what you’ll be using. I personally have a 2000 peak-watt power inverter that I have hard wired into my truck’s battery, which frees up another power point to use on something like a GPS.

Since we’re assuming your vehicle doesn’t have stock DVD players or plug ins (the latter more rare than the former) we’re going to continue to assume that you’ve bought an inverter. Great, now the main thing you have to watch for is not maxing out the machine. Some inverters have displays that show you the amount of power that is being used by your devices plugged into it. That’s really handy since you’ll be able to prevent that annoying, high-pitched buzzer that will sound if you’ve overloaded it. If yours doesn’t have a display, that’s ok, just don’t get too alarmed if you hear that noise.

Now you’ve heard some scenarios and things to do with a power inverter. What’s the next step? Go buy one and take a road trip!

Some times its good to forgive and forget.A few weeks ago you saw a post where I was getting into fight with my friend.I didn’t really talk to her for about 3 days. But now I am.Its been great.I found out that a friendship isn’t going to be a real friendship with out its tiff.We learn from them and grow stronger.Knowing a person is willing to get over it and so are you.Well then they really are friends. Its great to have her back as a friend.Knowing I will never make that mistake ever again. To have friends is a best thing you can have cause.money comes and goes.Boys come and goes. But friends never come an go.You maybe get into a fight but the truth is they are always there.I don’t want my life to be like the hills and always be fighting with my friends.I want my life to be funny and wild but caring at times.

My lovely wife often blames lapses of memory or just plain common sense on ‘pregnancy brain’.

For those uninitiated in the world of baby-bump related brain-freeze allow me to explain.

Now, what was I doing again? (image from www.maternity-wedding-dresses.com)

Pregnancy brain is, so my wife insists, a medical phenomenon caused by having what used to be termed as one in the oven. From misplacing keys to going to the shops in her slippers the blame is all layed at the pregnancy brain door. Many other expectant mothers may sympathise – others with children may remember it, fondly or otherwise.

I have a new slant to place on it. I don’t think it’s related to the cycles of the moon, the hormones or the blood flow required by a placenta. I think the cause may be parenting – even if the parenting of a first-time expectant partent may be in-eutero.

I feel this is the case as (at this point imagine me standing up in a circle of chairs in a church hall-style venue)… I am a sufferer. I have pregnancy brain.

My six-pack is long since lost to my (manly) curves but despite appearances I am not pregnant. I don’t have a placenta and despite my protests to the contrary, I don’t have a monthly cycle – suspended by pregnancy or otherwise.

Yet still I insist I am a fellow sufferer.

I forget things. And not just normally. I have a habit of forgetting things at crucial times (my wife would, I’m sure, be able to fill a book with my memory mishaps alone). A favourite example, oft told around the dinner table is my cooking dinner – tuna and pasta bake… and forgetting the tuna. Yes, I made a bowl of cheesy, baked pasta.

But I forget things even more under the pressure of parenting. It’s not just my memory either. Logic, of which I’m usually such a fan, deserts me when I’m confronted with my child.

Let me give you some examples. My son is nearly two. For about 18 months of that we’ve been in a (glorious) routine. Despite this, almost every night after his bath, as my wife carries him up the stairs she has to remind me to bring his bottle of milk. No matter how many times this happens it just will not stick in my mind.

I have, countless times, carefully packed a bag of supplies to take with me when taking my son out. Parents will know the drill: nappies; wipes; change of trousers if there’s any chance of puddles being involved; water; snacks etc. etc.

After spending many minutes going through every possible eventuallity and therefore preparing for it and packing any required remedy in the bag – I then leave the house… without it. Not ‘every now and then’ almost every time. I have a blind-spot with milk bottles and bags it seems.

Lost logic

Then there’s the logic.

A screaming baby - enough to sap anyone's brain-power (image from http://2.bp.blogspot.com)

Parents will know the trouble of facing a crying/screaming child. It can be hard to think at the best of times. For me crying or otherwise I just cannot seem to think of the most glaringly obvious solutions to problems with my son.

During lunch he won’t be eating the meal I’ve loving crafted over the past half-hour. As macaroni cheese is flung around the kitchen in a fit of pique (his not mine, I promise) I just cannot think what to do. I know he needs to eat; I know I’ve prepared food… I just cannot seem to get to the step that says: “Give him something else then.” It just does not compute.

Fortunately my wife (perhaps seeing a fellow sufferer) is very patient. She’ll advise/steer or just flatly point out the glaringly obvious as required.

I’d like to say it’s because I’m just so excited about having fun and taking my son out to x place or y playground. My mind is so lost in ideas of games and having fun and his heart-burstingly gorgeous giggle. I’d like to say that. Could I say it honestly? Not so sure.

Maybe it’s me. Maybe I am just a complete mental klutz and my wife’s patience is mercifully bottomless. This seems far more likely.

To save some shred of self worth, I label myself a sufferer. Parenting-brain sufferers – unite!

This is a somewhat simple solution to a possibly costly memory issue, in that forgetting to flick a switch/turn off a tap costs money by way of the bill, as well as costing more in terms of environmental costs.

I have found myself being far more efficient in these areas in the last little while and hardly ever forget to turn off a light when not needed, turn off a tap when brushing teeth, etc. It did however take a lot of self-discipline and I can see how stickers/post-it’s, etc, can be handy for some people.

In life, we will encounter many people with varying personalities and dispositions. It is a fact that there will be disagreements, fall-outs, and times of miscommunication. These things can cause an individual not to have the proper perspective of others in daily interactions. It can be difficult to see others, especially as God sees them, when we have seen unfavorable aspects of their personalities and lifestyles. However, we must get over what we know about an individual.

And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. Gen 17:15 (KJV)

Abraham receives a name change, but God goes further and changes the name of his wife. Abraham had to see his wife, no longer as a barren woman (Sarai), but as a fruitful woman from whom kings and nations would come from (Sarah).

Once we come to Christ, our perception of men has to change. We have to see others as God does. He is not willing that any should perish. The very worst of sinners are candidates for His grace and redemption. When we see others as God does, it will restrain us from allowing what we see and know about them to change our love for them. This holds especially true concerning other members of the Body of Christ.

Though some Christians may be like Sarai, being barren in their walks with Christ, we must see them as candidates for being Sarah, members who will eventually be of great service to the Church and Kingdom of God. This will keep us from unforgiveness, bitterness, and judgment.

Why do I have to remember things I don’t want to recall and forget things I want to remember? My life’s so stagnant, it isn’t going anywhere.

Swine flu, swine flu, swine flu.. Is everybody talking about it or is it just written Everywhere.. Some are these days less concerned about it and some are even more scared.

The vaccines are finally here, but only a small amount is getting them. Some even refuse taking them, thinking their even more harmful then the influenza.

I was wondering that if i got swine flu from a outsider and my friends might catch it from me; then it would be my fault?
I’m the one spreading swine flu in among my friends, I’m the one that wasn’t cautious?

Some might think this is vain thinking and humans aren’t that shallow.
But I’m young girl, my friends are young. They have strong emotions, the scars go deeper in. Some can forget, some can forgive, but some will remember it forever.

So if i got it and survived but my friend died after getting it from me, it would be my fault. If i died, the others could forgive and mourn. But if i did survive i would be the one to blame. If i then again got it from one of them i would get sad and angry too for them spreading it to me.

I don’t know anyone well that has had swine flu, only one from my old work got it. But he only worked there ones a week and i ended work there before he ever came back. At that time i was worried what if he had infected me?
He was a nice man but i didn’t like him the days i worried..

…Yes i know everyone is not gonna get it, but you newer know whos gonna be the next victim…

Taking medication as the doctor prescribes is crucial to improving health. However, 26 to 59 percent

Taking medication as the doctor prescribes is crucial to improving health. However, 26 to 59 percent of older adults do not adhere to instructions, according to a 2003 study published in Drugs and Aging.

“It is very important for physicians and nurses to move past educating patients about the need for medication and focus on teaching behavior strategies,” said Vicki Conn, associate dean of research and Potter-Brinton professor in the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. “Implementing these strategies can help older adults take their medications, resulting in better health and well-being.”

The University of Missouri researchers found that behavior-changing strategies have a greater impact on medication adherence than reinforcing the importance of taking medication to patients. Effective strategies include reducing the number of doses taken daily, prescribing medications so they can be taken at the same time as other medications and encouraging the use of pill boxes. Giving patients clear, easy-to-read instructions for the medications also proved to be effective.

There are many reasons older adults have difficulties with medications, Conn said. Vision changes can interfere with reading medication bottles, and arthritis can make it difficult to handle pills and containers. However, the majority of adherence problems are not related to physical health. For example, many people simply forget to take their medications.

“There are approaches to overcome almost all problems,” said David Mehr, co-author of the study. “It makes a huge difference in patients’ adherence and health if they have some type of organized system for taking medication.”

Failure to take prescribed medications can result in costly health interventions, including expensive tests and unnecessary additional prescriptions, Conn said.
