You can tell a lot about a gal by the way she sprays her fragrance.

Now, more than ever, there is a vast selection of perfumes to choose from as you strut down the isle at your local cosmetic department. And while I would have suggestions on certain fragrances that are above and beyond the standard scents, I will opt out of recommending them and will instead focus on how you should apply your fragrance.

Most of you know that you are to spray your pulse points, the areas of your body where the blood vessels run close to the skin. Pulse points in the body heat up and in-turn act like mini fragrance pumps through the day. The common pulse points are the wrist and neck colleté area, but there are other areas of your body that need attention too.

Spraying the back of your neck is a polished fragrance application ritual. You will mist your hair while spritzing the back of your neck, and since hair holds fragrance longer than skin, your scent will become more long-lasting. Other important pulse points are the back of the knee, the bend of your elbow and your ankle as these locations allow your fragrance to drift up throughout the day.

I am also a fan of the “mist then walk” technique. It is a very subtle way to perfume yourself. If you are a sexy gal who likes to kick-up her fragrance, I would also suggest lightly misting the outside of your hand prior to attending a cocktail party. That way guests will have a pleasant whiff of your perfume as they great you.

We all have our traditions when it comes to applying our fragrance, but I encourage you to try different methods along with different scents.
