Giuliano Stroe has six-pack abs before turning six years old. And he’s also in the Guinness Book of World Records before he can probably even read it.

Though it’s highly unusual (and possibly unhealthy) for a child to start weight training at such a young age, the pre-schooler entered the record books earlier this year after completing the fastest ever 10-meter walk with a weight ball between the legs, which is both both highly impressive and highly specific. Since then, a four-minute video of Stroe has hit the Internet and made him a viral sensation.

It looks like a training montage from a Rocky movie, minus the Survivor soundtrack. (And, interestingly, Guiliano Stroe is almost the same size as Sylvester Stallone.)

Usain Bolt set a new world record in the 100 meters at the world championships in Berlin this afternoon. He was running into a headwind so there is no doubt he is the fastest human ever. My guess is he’ll run a 9.54 in the next few months.

All Men Are Not Dogs… Or Are We?

For centuries… dating back to ancient Egyptian times… maybe even before time became time…  Men have always been considered “dogs” . Why is that? When has it to become a problem, that a single man at that, deserve the bitter title as a dog.  Let’s state some facts: A man at some point in life (around 18+ years of age) wants a girlfriend, wifey, boo, lady, etc. So therefore, boy meets girl(s), and a lot of the time, she will not meet all criteria*, coincidentally not bad enough for total neglect. You know like I know, no one necessarily wants to be lonely, so that’s why those incapable of being a girlfriend is not immediately exiled from my life. Keep in mind though people, the goal is to get involved in a relationship, and I will not settle for anything less. It’s not picky, its called self-respect and having standards.

As this process continues, now there is like 3 to 4 ladies that I vow my attention to, and to coincide with this, temptation, lust, passion, imagination settles in for these ladies. All of the ladies are thinking the same thing, but 2 out of the 4 is actually gone let sexual confrontation escalate, known personal statistic. And how strange this next statement might seems, the ones that let things go further, actually have a lead on those who didn’t on a lot of cases. Contrary to that, if one of those ladies who let sex take effect, and her pussy smell was disrespectful not only to me, but my nose too. She has cut her own self out the process. The other 2 ladies who did stand their sexual grounds and did not let temptation control them, are still appreciated and admired because of their will power. I take it as though, it is a high chance of her NOT being going, and what man wants a going lady.

Parallel to this situation, word spreads around to people, especially if the lady is an active talker, and if she is, so is the person who listening. So now word out on the streets is that you a hoe, slut, DOG because after the sexual encounter, the partner wanted an increase in personal relation but you kinda kept things the same (if she smelt pleasant) and now her emotions are injured due to lack of expectation. She share with her friends hurt emotions, now they think you are a so called DOG. Which really only exist in one’s mind of the petty victim and the peers of that petty victim.  I’m pretty sure the ones who stood ground do not think that.

Honestly, I think this is fair game because it’s no telling how many others (male and female) she talking when she not talking to me. Remember: The goal is hopefully a relationship with ONLY  1 of the 4, only if none of them are capable due to extensive evaluation. Hypothetically, if one is declared as the winner, because this a game to be honest; they are competing and contestants just as easy as I myself being a competitor or contestant myself in their view, this is inevitable. The “losers” will faded a way because it is my style of handling and abiding by relationship written and unwritten guidelines. Conclusion to this situation, I got three 3 ladies calling me a “dog” due to their failed anticipation of their visions with me. And as time progresses, more similar scenarios arouse, and words get around faster than the speed of light. And it takes a mature individual to distinguish these facts and scenarios, and we all been “winners” and “losers” in this game… Speaking of which… This will illuminate my next post about “The Inevitable Game”

Current shot of our Tad-Frog with his new legs. I woke up this morning to find out my Tad-Frog finally has front legs. i’m happy for him, but a little disappointed personally, as it was fun owning a freak of nature, and we were kind of hoping he’s obtain us some extra income from the industrial park across the street.

We’re not sure what spawned the change. It could have been nature, and the fact that it is spring (although he’s in a 55 gallon tank and probably doesn’t know the difference). It also could have also been his deep desire to get away from the Killer Goldfish in the tank with him. Maybe he was just a little slower than the other tadpoles. We’ll never really know. We just home the other frogs will accept him.

HOMESTEAD, FL – “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” was gracious enough to feature Manigator on last week’s episode. In usual form, Manigator was not gracious in return.

The TV show usually features a family that has faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship. The host, Ty Pennington, had heard of Manigator’s troubled times, and hand-picked him for last Sunday’s show.

It was, of course, a disaster from the start. The episode began with Ty visiting Manigator in his shack on the edge of the Everglades National Park. Ty tearfully recounted Manigator’s lonely childhood as a freak of nature and his inability to keep a job due to discrimination; Manigator switched between nodding encouragingly and dozing off behind his sunglasses.

Unfortunately for Ty, any Weekly World News reader could have told him Manigator’s perpetual unemployment is due to his massive drinking problem and refusal to respect authority.

Manigator was then sent to Miami for a week while the construction crew began putting up his new house. He did not look at any of the progress videos that were sent to him, as he spent his entire trip at the Booby Trap “gentlemen’s club”.

Upon returning, Ty excitedly showed him the new house. Manigator went completely silent and stared unmoving at the building. He finally waddled over and expressed his displeasure by urinating on the front door, before fleeing into the swamps with a screaming Ty in tow.

The house has since been given to a vampire family with a disabled child who lacks fangs.

Although it is not common knowledge, there are actually three sides to the The Force:

The Light side; the Dark side; and, me.

So…  I had an awesome ride today.  Perfect weather.  Tough head wind heading North.  Brilliant sun and growing warmth after the turnaround.

In the final four miles, pushing hard South on Redd Road, I caught up to, and passed, two fellows on road bikes (I train on a Montague “Hummer” Mountain Bike with road slicks [it's more challenging]).

Apparently I knew them.  I heard one say: “Cork is a $@&^ing freak of nature”.

I love that.

Once upon a time, way back in 1945, Mike was but another unnamed rooster, just one of many chickens living on Lloyd and Clara Olsen’s farm and destined for the refrigerated section of the grocery store. On September 10, Mr. Olsen selected several chickens for the chopping block. As usual after decapitation, each chicken scrambled and scratched for a moment by reflex. One rooster, however, kept running around the yard, as if it hadn’t realized its head was sitting on the ground.

The next morning, the headless chicken was still proudly strutting around as if nothing had happened. Surprised and curious, the Olsens began feeding it, dripping a gruel of crushed grain and water down its throat, to see how long it could survive. And the rooster thrived—as much as it could without a head—climbing onto perches, making gurgling noises in an attempt to crow, and futilely attempting to preen its feathers with its phantom head.

Lembrar de todos os clichês do rock n’ roll é fácil, ainda mais das figuras e da moda que compõe esse estilo musical: calças de couro apertadas, bandanas segurando os longos cabelos, óculos ray-ban, gritos estridentes e ensurdecedores, tatuagens, muito machismo, fãs taradas e enlouquecidas, letras sobre sexo, mulheres, bebidas, ou seja, o sonho de todo garoto que acabou de entrar na puberdade. Mas e as mulheres, como entram ativamente nessa história?

O Rock já não é o mesmo, os tempos áureos das décadas de 70, 80 e 90 há muito tempo deixaram sua marca, que hoje é mera sombra de um passado de fama, criatividade, sucesso e sexo fácil, fácil até demais. Em um ambiente dominado por homens que adoram criar a imagem de “feios”, “sujos”, “malvados” e “sexistas”, nos dias de hoje são as mulheres quem mais prometem criar uma nova geração de roqueiros(as) eternos.

A diferença é que essas não são quaisquer mulheres. Pertencentes a movimentos musicais como o “Queercore” (também conhecido como homocore) ou o movimento auto-intulado “Riot Girrrl”, muitas bolachas engajadas do mundo todo, deixam um pouco de lado o gosto por Madonna, K.D. Lang, Melissa Etheridge e caem nas graças de estilos musicais mais pesados, que se concentram não apenas no sexo (com mulheres), mas de cunho político-social-cultural, tratam sobre questões como o preconceito, sexualidade, identidade e questões gerais do universo gay.

O Queercore e o Riot Girrrl são movimentos bem conhecidos do meio gay engajado, com conteúdo (massa encefálica ativa), e bandas como Bikini Kill, Indigo Girls, Le Tigre e as brasileiras do Dominatrix sempre fizeram a cabeça de garotas que gostam de garotas. Entretanto a “sapataria” sempre quis muito mais e com tremenda capacidade e dom, já provaram que podem sim fazer muito marmanjo babar de inveja, não só pela sua música, mas também pelas suas fãs e os mais desavisados, claro, pelo seu “sex appeal”. Pobres “machos”!

Atualmente muitas dykes levaram esse engajamento para outras tantas vertentes do rock: hardcore puro, punk, hard rock, new metal, heavy metal, gothic metal, industrial; todos esses estilos possuem artistas lésbicas de peso. Sejam tomboys ou ladies, o que importa é o rock de alta qualidade que fazem.

O que falar então da diva do punk rock e precursora do “lesbian rock”, Joan Jett, da extinta banda The Runaways e criadora do hino mundial “I Love Rock N’ Roll”? Assumida, a cantora teve um papel fundamental no movimento Riot Grrrl durante a década de 90 e produziu artistas como Peaches e Bikini Kill. Continua na ativa até os dias de hoje e é influência não só para as garotas, como para toda uma geração de roqueiros.

Os anos 90 trouxeram grandes bandas de lesbian rock, como o L7, que na época figurava no time de primeiro escalão do movimento grunge/punk. Formado em 1985 pelas guitarristas Donita Sparks e Suzi Gardner, continuaram na ativa até 2001. Durante a fase áurea do grunge, a banda sempre se viu envolta em “pequenas” controvérsias, como o caso do absorvente feminino atirado na platéia do Reading Festival, em 1992. No mesmo ano é lançado o álbum Bricks are Heavy, considerado pela revista Rolling Stone norte-america, como um dos álbuns essenciais da década de 90 e por muitos como um clássico do rock. Canções como “Pretend We’re Dead”, “Everglade” e “Monster” dominaram a MTV e as paradas de sucesso do mundo todo. A banda fez uma apresentação meteórica no festival brasileiro Hollywood Rock, em 1993, que ainda contava com bandas como Nirvana, Alice In Chains e Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

1993 também marcou o nascimento de outra banda de mulheres e tão importante para o movimento lesbian rock, quanto o L7, mas em um outro gênero (que a essa altura enfrentava uma dura decadência), o heavy metal. Saem o visual desleixado e masculinizado do grunge e entram os rostinhos bonitos e as calças de couro do rock. Naturais de Estocolmo, na Suécia, o Drain S.T.H., seguiu pela vertente de mestres do estilo como Black Sabbath e Metallica e com muita técnica conquistaram os marmanjões de plantão com uma mistura de heavy metal gótico e hard rock. Apadrinhadas pelo ídolo Ozzy Osbourne, participaram, em 1999, do festival itinerante Ozzfest e contaram com a participação de Tony Iommi (guitarrista do Black Sabbath) nas gravações do álbum Freak of Nature, do mesmo ano. O grupo decretou seu fim no ano 2000, mas deixou um legado pra qualquer metaleiro de carteirinha não botar defeito.

Em outra vertente bem mais extrema, a banda Otep, liderada pela vocalista Otep Shamaya, faz uma mistura poderosa de nu metal, death metal e rapcore. O grupo, formado em 2000, já lançou três CDs (Sevas Tra, de 2002; House of Secrets, de 2004 e The Ascension, em 2007). Com um forte apelo político e social, Otep é uma das maiores críticas da guerra do Iraque e do presidente norte-americano George Bush e deixa sua mensagem clara em músicas como “Blood Pigs” e “Warhead”. Direta e sem muitos rodeios, suas letras são incômodas, relatam experiências passadas traumáticas e são recheadas de mensagens contra o fanatismo religioso, problemas sociais e a cultura norte-americana. Tudo isso carregado por um sentimento pesado de inconformismo contra a sociedade atual. Ligada às artes, a cantora ainda se dedica à poesia e já tem dois livros publicados: Little Sins e Caught Screaming, por enquanto apenas lançados nos EUA. Um paradoxo para uma vocalista tão feroz.

Com menos peso, mas não menos ferocidade, a cantora britânica Deborah Dyer, mais conhecida como Skin, da já extinta banda Skunk Anansie, segue com a mistura de britrock e rock industrial que tanto influenciou seu antigo grupo. Em carreira solo, Skin lançou o álbum Fleshwounds, em 2003, mal recepcionado pela crítica e pelos antigos fãs, que se assustaram com o novo direcionamento musical da artista. Muito mais leve e bem distante do britrock pesado, o álbum não chamou tanto a atenção de seu público, mas em 2006, ela volta, outra vez de cabeça raspada, com o álbum Fake Chemical State e o single “Alone in My Room”. Atualmente Skin trabalha em seu terceiro álbum solo.

É uma pena que a decadência do rock, exatamente no período em que muitas dessas bandas foi criada, ofuscou um futuro sucesso mais duradouro, afinal poucas continuam na ativa nos dias de hoje.

Mas uma coisa pode-se atestar, mesmo tendo crescido e sendo influenciado pelo machista “cock rock”, o lesbian rock não perde, nem deve nada aos grandes deuses do metal.

His body has been described as a “freak of nature” and “transhuman.” The BBC has a comprehensive break-down on why it’s perfect for swimming. But as I watched 23-year-old US Olympian Michael Phelps win his 7th gold last night, I couldn’t help but think “Marfan Syndrome.”

Marfan Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects the connective tissue in the the body. Some of the more obvious physical features seen in Phelps include:

- Wing span much greater than height

- Long and slender fingers/toes

- Protruding sternum (pectus carinatum)

- Hyperflexibility of joints

- Long narrow face

- Small jaw

- Overcrowding of teeth

Unfortunately, Marfan Syndrome is also associated with a high risk for a fatal heart condition in which the major vessel leading from the heart can tear.

A quick google search made it clear that I am far from the first person to have linked the swimmer with this condition. Phelps himself writes about being evaluated for Marfan Syndrome in his autobiography Beneath the Surface:

I could feel something wrong one day when I dove into the water at practice. My heart was accelerating and Bob suggested I see the doctor. Because I was very flexible and had long hands and feet, I had some early symptoms of Marfan Syndrome. (Page 66)

In his book, Phelps goes on to say that he is regularly monitored and his heart is in good shape. It is not clear from his recount whether he has been given a definitive diagnosis of the condition, and out of personal curiosity I wonder whether he has had genetic testing. But if in fact he does have Marfan Syndrome, we can expect a 50% chance that little Michael Phelps offspring will share their father’s unique physique and potential for swimming prowess.

i’d like you to take a moment and imagine this scene in your head.

it’s about 4 o’clock on monday. tuesday is supposed to be “water day” at camp. i have this brilliant idea for a relay race that involves pvc pipes (the relay race is a whole totally different story!), so i take a little trip to home depot to purchase said pipes.

i wander around the store for awhile, and finally find what i am looking for. i pick up the 8 foot pipes, one under each arm, and try to make my way to the front of the store, meanwhile knocking people over left and right. i finally reach the register, where i am totally mocked by the guy at the check out. i pay for the pipes and head out to my car….

where i realize that my car is not 8 feet long, and thus there is no way these pipes are going to fit inside. i must have looked like such a fool trying to get them in every which way, but really no matter what i did they would not fit!

so i picked them back up and headed back into the store, praying i wouldn’t knock anymore innocent bystanders over. i walk to the customer service desk and told them that the pipes wouldn’t fit in my car and asked if they could saw them in half for me. they kindly told me to go to plumbing, where someone could help me.

except when i explained my dilemma to the sweethearts in plumbing, they told me they could not saw them for me, but that they could give me a saw.

and so they did.

they handed me a saw. in the middle of an aisle in home depot. and i began sawing. in the middle of an aisle in home depot. and nobody helped me. and i looked like the biggest freak of nature on this planet.

ALL FOR THOSE KIDS AND THEIR WATER DAY!

Yes.
