So what’s been going on since.. shit.. July:

1. Finished building up my Leader frame, actually right after I did my last update I finished building up the bike.
2. I did a few alleycat races including: Halloween race where I dressed up like  Asian Fred Durst:
   Made it into a youtube video, Jonathan’s next to me on the left.
   

   and I placed 19th at Cranksgiving, where one of the checkpoints had us dress up like pilgrims and Indians.
   
   Another checkpoint was just posing, so Mark and I posed with some baby food (that we had to drop off at the CP).  Mark ended up my racing buddy after our huge group got split up, he finished 20th.

3. I got a pair of cheap sweet glasses from Goggles4u.com
4. I discovered the awesomeness of Rage Guy, and made my own when I had to work the day after Thanksgiving:
   
5. Did a sweet Queens bike crawl, got a sweet t-shirt and plastic “DAS BOOT” from it too, the night ended with Landing Project and other bands playing.
   
   
6. Went to my cousin Robbie’s bachelor party, which included rednecks and monster trucks
   
7. For my birthday, rode to Ft. Tilden, some people came out, and had a great time, got trashed on tequila (BAD IDEA) then had the longest ride home ever. Rode with Tracy:

   Thanks to everybody who came out, it was a hard place to find!  I would never have found it if left to my own devices.  Danny, Adri, Big Tom, Steve Chang, Ram, Tracy, Sarah & Mel!
8. Went camping up at Lake George with Ram, Big Tom & Sam:

10. Also met a LOT of cool new people, strengthened friendships with my current friends, and overall a good time.

Winter is beginning next week (or this week, idk), and it’s gonna be pretty shiety for a few months.  Can’t wait for the warm weather and the good times.  That’s all for now.

The dawn came and, as our eyes angrily got used to the bright light, we saw the future.  And it looks like we are in for a helluva ride. All over the world people are picking up the debris of yesterdays eruption, and holy god do they love it!

Well he said the new Limp Bizkit album’s gonna be named Gold Cobra.  Hey, anything’s better than The Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, am I right?

Limp Bizkit’s back with what will be their first studio album since 2005’s The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1).  Guess part two got caught slippin’.  And Fred Durst is already worried about the haters:

Weird name for an album...then again weird name for a band.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has exclusively told Kerrang! magazine the title of their forthcoming new album which is due next year.

The US Nu-Metallers have named it ‘Gold Cobra’.

He told Kerrang! “The name of the new Limp Bizkit album is Gold Cobra. We will slowly be revealing the meaning of the title over the next few weeks. Cobras are quite venomous. I wish it were a much longer, more ridiculous title, but Gold Cobra is as ridiculous as we’re going to get right now.”

Gold Cobra will be released early 2010 via Flip/Interscope/Polydor.

limp bizkit? siapa yang tahu band ini? atau jangan jangan anda sudah melupakannya? hahaha… yap, band ini adalah band yang menemani hari hari saya ketika jaman SMP dulu, dimana bersanding dengan Korn, Slipknot, bahkan Greenday maupun Blink 182, tapi band yang lain nampak tenggelam begitu saja tertelan dengan kejamnya dinamika industri musik yang keras, mulai bermunculan banyak aliran aliran musik baru, lebih keras, lebih garang, lebih bergaya, lebih banyak berteriak, tidak ada lagi embel embel rap, funk, apapun itu disebutnya, orang orang bilang itu adalah musik cadas dan seterusnya. tapi kemanakah limp bizkit, setelah sempat kehilangan gitaris yang sudah menjadi icon sekaligus trendsetter bagi seluruh dunia di jaman millenium, limp bizkit tenggelam begitu saja, sempat tampil dengan gitaris baru yang banyak orang selalu kritik tidak pernah ada yang bisa menggantikan wes borland, tapi saya tetap membeli album mereka dengan gitaris barunya, saya tetap suka dengan musiknya walaupun sudah meninggalkan ciri khas rap metalnya maupun hip metalnya. tapi setelah sekian lama hilang kembali. limp bizkit kembali dengan formasi lamanya, wes borland pun kembali, mereka ingin kembali bermain musik, dan saya kaget setengah mati ketika saya menemukan live concert mereka yang terakhir sekaligus bersama wes borland di festival musik download bersama sama dengan band band “uzur” pula yaitu Korn, Slipknot, bahkan Faith No More, tapi bukan limp bizkit namanya kalau tidak mempunyai ciri khas, dan ciri khas itu telah kembali… welcome back wes borland.

Figo. Visual da morire, un po’ deboluccio nella storia a mio parere. Però, che viaggi!

Non vi sto a spiegare la storia, ma la cosa più figa di tutto il film è che mediante trance del suddetto Dottore (che poi, dottore de che? Sicuramente non è un neurologo, o psicologo, o psichiatra: lo vedo più come, che ne so, un otorinolaringoiatra, visto che si riesce a ficcare due flauti in gola senza soffocare…vabbeh) e l’aiuto di uno specchio magico, ti fa entrare nella tua immaginazione. Storia malatissima!!!

Allora, ho cercato di immaginare come sarebbe, visualmente parlando, il mio immaginario. I miei amici, che, evidentemente, hanno un’opinione di me molto bassa, han detto che sarebbe piena di uomini nudi: Chris Martin (ma anche gli altri tre Coldplay, poverelli), AJ dei Backstreet Boys, Robbie Williams, Fred Durst, Jude Law, i tizi dei Prodigy, anche Brian dei Backstreet poraccio….etc, etc, etc. Alcuni hanno detto che avrebbe le pareti di pizza, altri che sarebbe un trip allucinante.

Secondo me invece è tutto questo, con la differenza che lo scenario sarebbe tipo il centro di Londra, o New York, e che tutti gli uomini sopra citati sarebbero vestiti (l’uomo nudo non è di certo uno splendore, diciamoci la verità), e forse in vetrina, storia malatissima.

In realtà, il mio immaginario potrebbe anche avere le sembianze di Alassio, ridente cittadina marittima ligure dove ho trascorso, prima di conoscere l’Inghilterra, la mia innocentissima infanzia: rilassamento a mille, mare mare mare e focaccia.

Ci sono stata giusto settimana scorsa per un weekend con una mia amica all’insegna del relax più indegno, tipo da addormentarsi continuamente, tanto che i vecchietti che vanno a svernare in Riviera ci guardavano male lanciandoci tanti tzè tzè. Un chilo di cazzi vostri, no? Non ci sono cantieri da andare a guardare invece che importunare povere milanesi in detox da smog?

Fatto sta che siamo state in sto hotel fighissimo a 4 stelle, che si chiama Grand Hotel Diana, che aveva pure la piscina coperta, e di cui ho scritto su Qype. Da favola.

Ma tornando al film, altre due cose che mi sono piaciute un cifro: quando Mr Nick (il diavolo) offre una mela rossa a due suore che gli dicono “Dio la benedica!, e sopratutto l’inizio, che fa vedere un gruppo di ragazzi in uscita da una discoteca londinese, che mi ha ricordato tantissime drunken nights passate, dove l’immaginario del Dottor Parnassus l’ho visto anche io, eccome.

Mi è piaciuto che in quella prima scena, io ridevo memore, e i miei amici brianzoli non capivano. Good Times.

NIN frontman Trent Rezor tied the knot with his fiance Mariqueen Maandig this past saturday. Congratulations.

Hope this marriage lasts longer than Fred Durst’s.

Authors, Children’s — You may or may not have heard by now that Where the Wild Things Are author Maurice Sendak recently told Newsweek that people who think the film adaptation of his book is too scary can go to hell. Now culture site Asylum puts together a list of the toughest kids’ writers in history, where Sendak is in good company. Unless we find out that J.K. Rowling pulled out an adversary’s spine Mortal Kombat-style, this list looks to stay fairly valid.

Durst, Fred — The former Limp Bizkit frontman filed for divorce from new wife Esther Nazarov after only one month. It’s the classic he said/she said: he claims she is pushy and abrasive; she claims he is the washed up lead singer of a flash-in-the pan band from a rap/metal musical movement in the 90’s that produced nothing of lasting value.

Moses — Expect a blockbuster of biblical proportions in theaters soon as Variety reports that 20th Century Fox plans to tell the story of Moses in — wait for it — “green-screen 300-style.” Notable scenes will be Moses outrunning the exploding bush in slow motion and commandeering a tank full of Jews through the red sea. Let’s just hope Michael Bay doesn’t direct and cast Megan Fox as Esther — we know what happens when those two get together.

O’Brien, Conan — This evening’s Tonight Show will feature host Conan O’Brien squaring off against Newark, New Jersey mayor Cory Booker. Booker “banned” O’Brien from the Newark airport after repeated jokes the host made about the city. Booker’s appearance is somewhat self-defeating, however, as even if he wins the showdown, he still has to get on an airplane and go back to Newark.

Swap, Wife — The family of a 6-year-old boy who was believed to have been whisked away yesterday by an balloon-like experimental aircraft built by his father in the family’s backyard have been revealed to have once appeared on ABC’s Wife Swap. The episode in question swapped the mother from a home that had young children and a swingset in the backyard with a mother from a home that had young children and dangerous, balloon-like experimental aircraft in the backyard.
