Questo post è per commemorare la morte del nostro idolo Freddie Mercury, avvenuta 18 anni fa, in modo tragico e inaspettato.

Mi sembra giusto celebrare il passaggio a miglior vita dell’ uomo che con la sua voce ha saputo dare una nuova definizione di grandezza.

Questo è per te Freddie, Grazie di Cuore!!

Popular teen-themed channel 4 television show Skins is due to begin broadcasting its fourth series in January 2010. The show, which began broadcasting on digital station E4 in 2007, has built up a large number of devoted fans. Every two years the cast is replaced with a new set of core characters. About A Boy star Nicholas Hoult starred in the first series as Tony Stonem. The new series will be the last featuring the current cast, which includes Kaya Scodelario as Effy Stonem. There will be eight episodes in the new series. The show is also a hit in the states where an American version, set in Baltimore, is currently in development. A big screen version may also soon be made as it was announced, in May 2009, that Film4 and Skins production company, Company Pictures, are in preliminary talks about producing one. I’m looking forward to the new series and will be disappointed if it proves to be the last one they make. Been really hard to find any inspiration today for something to write.
For the first time in a long while Monday has been very dull and eventless…crap.
Well maybe it is because of the weather, only rain, wetness and cold winds, isnt it really time for some snow or something right about now?
I miss the good old winters with tons of snow, that really gave both the coy winter mood but also a sense of christmas feeling.
I love to play this timeless Queen song ” A Winter’s Tale“, it really tells quite a different ‘winter’s tale’, because partly there is no mention of snow or christmassy stuff, but then again it sounds very warm and fuzzy, almost romantic in my ears, especially at 1: 45 where the guitar solo starts…if I close my eyes I can just see infront of me a romantic dance with a beautiful woman infront of a fireplace.

Feels like it’s time for a new poem soon?
Maybe this lack of inspiration, grief, boredom and longing is the material I need?

Im planning on getting one of my ears pierced, been a thought lingering for a while now.
I really would like to have a cool tribal earring, they look pretty cool.
What do you think, do you think I’d fit with one of these?

What scares you the most? Which horror icon is the one that keeps you coming back for more? Who’s the King of Horror? Zombies, Werewolves, Vampires, even Aliens?

Or is there one character you’d definitely hate to meet in a dark alley, your dreams,  or a mist-shrouded graveyard? Perhaps it’s Freddie, Jason, Frankenstein’s monster, Michael Myers, Chucky, the IT clown?

Personally I recall watching the original Alien when it was released. Scared the utter crap out of me. I actually nightmared the whole movie that night and woke up bathed in sweat!

So who hits the fear factor for you?

Basically I’m still praying that Tony will make a guest appearance, but it seems as though Effy has finally found some balance in her life so maybe he won’t be needed. A girl can only wish.

Weather is cooler and damp. Cloudy for 2 days but no rain here. Just a sprinkle.

Last sunday I went to Kansas City on a bus trip to the New Dinner Theater to see Church Basement Ladies II starring Barry Williams. It was just hilarious! I loved every moment. In some plays the ‘big name star’ has a tiny tiny role. Barry’s role was anything but. He did a great number like Elvis and in another dressed like an African or whatever native and danced. A great day. Except for our bus driver. He was not good. Many errors and almost ran a car off the turnpike. I was scared we would not get home. See photos of the day here.

When I came home I saw a package in the kitchen. Our neighbours are from Mexico and their son had brought over a package of homemade tamales. Wow!! at least 10 of them! Very good!!! Willie had helped them find one of the calves and they repaid us with tamales. Mmmm!

Sunday nite I  watched the futboll play offs. My team, Sounders FC, lost so my season is over. No more soccer until March. How will I survive?? But there will be lots to read and new players to add.

Monday was hair cut day. I could tell it was getting a bit long. Needed to be shaped up. Much better now.

I met Eric and Kathi for supper monday evening. We ate at Jalisco’s. Good eats!! Then it was movie class. Eric rode with me. We watched an Ida Lupino movie called Outrage. It was pretty good. Followed it with a good discussion.

Weather was beyond awesome today. Incredible. It was 75F and sunny with little breeze. Coming to an end soon though.

Went to my church today with John for the yearly pancake feed put on by the local Boy Scouts. All the pancakes you can eat plus sausage or bacon. Very good eating for only $3.50.

Then it was a work day for me. I had one thing that HAD to be done. The weather was soo nice that I then sat outside in the front courtyard. I had no tours and no phone calls. A perfect day.

Was a GREAT football day today in Kansas. KSU beat KU this afternoon. Oh, for the whining and excuses already coming from the KU side. Have some aquaintences — not friends — who live, eat, and breathe KU sports. They are bad sports whether they win or lose. And treat KSU friends like dirt. I am quietly enjoying the day.

Probably no blogging tomorrow. Gone most of the day and then my futboll team is in a playoff game. I might — MIGHT — get to watch it live or not long after.

FHA Loan Limits As a result of the passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, on February 25, 2009, HUD published changes to FHA’s single family loan limits . Given that most of the loan limits decreased for 2009, most areas will revert to the higher 2008 mortgage limit. On October 29, 2009, House and Senate passed legislation to extend the current loan limits for FHA and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (the government sponsored enterprises, or GSEs) through December 31, 2010. These loan limits, set at 125% of local area median home price and capped at $729,750, would have expired on December 31, 2009 in which case loan limits would have been reduced in many markets.

Reports this morning confirm Andrew Flintoff has signed a new deal with Lancashire. Freddie will play one-day cricket for the Roses for the next three summers. The deal will also enable Flintoff to continue to play Twenty20 cricket in the IPL. The deal would enable him to play cricket in Australia, South Africa and the West Indies, as has been reported recently. There is no clarification wether the deal allows him to take part in stunt-based TV shows….

Weather was nothing but rain, rain, and more rain. At midnite last nite it was thundering and lightning. And only got worse. As of this afternoon, we had 1.60 inches and around Lindsborg, there is water — deep water — in the fields and ditches. Wheat sowing has halted, corn picking has stopped, etc. Stayed around 50-60 degrees so not terribly cold.

I went to Assaria for lunch with Naomi and Gem. A nice get-together. I enjoyed the conversation.

Then off to Lindsborg. I went to the Bouquet Shoppe and bought a small bouquet of flowers. Today would have been Mom and Dad’s 58th wedding anniversary. Jay & I put the flowers on their graves. I cried last nite and a bit ago. I am just so sad.

I SAW my car today. I even touched it. But it is still at the garage. They had to order a part and are waiting for it. With my luck, I won’t see it until monday. Headed to Wichita next week and would prefer the car to the truck, but I am really liking the truck.

Tonite is a soccer game. Season is over, now we are in the play-offs. Home game that is a sell-out. I am on pins and needles. Wish it was time now!
