Next week I’m going away for a few days, the boyfriend and I are heading out to the Sahara for a desert safari. Inspired by this I decided to dye my hair a fiery orange and paint my nails to match. I used Schwarzkopf live colour xxl in fiery copper for my hair. I’m actually really impressed with it and will probably use this brand again. For my nails I used my favourite brand Barry M. I used satsuma for the base colour and raspberry on the tips.

I got the inspiration from these strawberry nails from my fellow blogger: ilovegreeninspiration, who posted a picture of professionally done strawberry nails. Ofcourse this is my first time painting nail art in ages but hopefully the creative juices will flow constantly and I will only get better in time

I use nail art pens but you can also use nail polish, brushes etc.

What you’ll need:

-Red nail varnish          -green nail varnish          -white or yellow nail varnish.

Here I used a yellowy white which doesn’t look as great as bright white.

Step 1) Paint the nails red. A second coat is recommended.

Step 2) Place small white or yellow dots all over the nail.

Step 3) A series of small, messy, green triangles at the top of the nail make the leaves.

What you’ll need:

1. A base coat nail polish
2. A pink shimmery nail polish
3. A green art liner nail polish
4. A black art liner nail polish
5. A top coat nail polish

Step one: Apply the base coat nail polish.

Step two: Apply the pink shimmery nail polish on half of the nail.

Step three: Use the green art liner nail polish to paint a line that goes along the pink part.

Step four: Use the black art liner nail polish to paint about three, four or five (I went with four) tear-shaped dots on the pink shimmery part.

Step five: Apply the top coat and voilà! You’ve got yourself a juicy manicure, haha!
