Nem, nem a pár napja fellépett Alice In Chains koncertről fogok mesélni. Azt még meg kell emésztenem, mert egy hihetetlen élmény volt. Ám a későbbiekben egy kvázi mega exkluzív cikket fogok írni a koncertről, mert tényleg leszedte a fejemet. Ma pedig egy olyan zenei megközelítést mutatok be, amit imádok, és az egyik kedvenc műfajom. Hölgyeim és uraim, hadd mutassam be a fűszagú, tekergős groove-os, Déli „rebell” metált(?) ill. grunge műfajokat. A vicces az, hogy ez két külön műfaj, és eléggé külön állnak egymástól, ami a csontig leegyszerűsített teóriai nézőpontot illeti, és ami a témájukat illeti, úgyszintén különböznek. Ám amikor az ember nyers, zenére vágyó fülekkel hallgatja nem is olyan távoli a kettő, sőt! Mindkettő eszméletlenül füstös, és komisz, nagyon hasonló érzelmeket vált ki és szerintem a szellemi tartalma, líraibb rálátásból is hasonlónak tekinthető. Ami még egészen biztosan hasonlóság az az, hogy amikor az ember bármelyiküket halhatja, valami leírhatatlan nosztalgikus felling fog(hat)ja el. Igen, mind a két műfaj nagyon jellemző volt a 90’ évekre. A mai VödöЯovatban pedig a kedvenc déli metölllllll-t játszó bandámat mutatom be, ad Down-t (jó magyaros szó ez is… de így is jobb mint a „le-t”). A Down egy szupercsapat. Nem olyan aki szemétből fegyvereket csinál meg akiknek van egy „I pity tha fool”-ozó Mr.T-jük, hanem egy olyan, ahol Pantera énekes Phil Anselmo prédikál, úgyszintén Panterás Rex szolgáltatja az igazán mély frekvenciákat Corrosion Of Conformity Pepper Keenan bűvöli a gitártat (höhö) és Crowbar tagok nyüstölik a dobtat (HÖHÖ) és a gitárt (itt már nem höhö). Remélem érvényesül mind az amit mondtam, bár szerintem nehéz elsőre mind ezt átélni. No de mindegy, íme az ópusz:

What a long, boring day… 3 long lessons with basically nothing to do.
Worst is the English C class I had in the afternoon, I have to write an academic paper, 6 pages and I have no idea on how to start.
My topic is about how the evolution of martial arts of the 20th and now 21st century has gone.
But where to start, how to find and construct the information is the biggest mystery…I have no idea.

I wanna especially take up the topic about MMA and the UFC.
Personally, I am no fan of MMA, also known as mixed martial arts, and when I watch the UFC matches… I get like…what the fuck is this?

In my opinion MMA is nothing but brutes just pounding the living fuck out of one another with ruthless kicking and punching, and then they know some good wrestling moves on the ground…but nothing more, no technique, no dicipline and most importantly; no honour.
This isnt real martial arts, for there is no ART in this sport, or blood sport as I call it.
No, I prefer the traditional Wushu and all those other traditional east asian martial arts, which I feel is the true artforms of combat and selfdefense.

I would like to give a tip for a good movie; ‘Wushu’ from 2008 starring and directed by Sammo Hung, produced by Jackie Chan and introdcuing the rising wushu stars Wenjie Wang and Fengchao Liu, seen on the above pic with Jackie himself.
Great movie about a bunch of kids growing up at a wushu academy, learning about life and wushu when they ultimately must use their power to defeat evil.
It is kinda B, but the acting is good and very, very well choreographed, and the Wushu competition scenes are breathtaking.

Though, to change to another subject from all the violence; I created a little but very nice playlist on Spotify, filled with some of my personal favorite love songs ^^

nach dem FAZ-Artikel sind die besetzenden Studis sicher am Ende ihrer mit Löffeln geschlurften Voküweisheit

Plenum im besetzten Plenarraum der FU. Das dritte Drittel des Plenums eröffnet die Lesung eines kürzlich erschienenen FAZ-Artikels aus der Hand von Tobias Haberkorn, stimmlich geübt vorgelesen von Michael Feindler. Es gibt was zu lachen. Die studentischen Besetzer erfahren aus professioneller publizistischer Feder, daß ihr Kontinentalvernetzer zu einem “großen Blonden” herangewachsen ist, keine geringe Überraschung für die paar knappen 1,65m und ein paar Zerquetschte. Und das blond müßte man auch erstmal blond färben, damit es der Beschreibung näher käme. Offensichtlich ist Tobias in der letzten Woche um 30cm geschrumpft und beginnt an früher Farbblindheit zu leiden (läßt sich übrigens mit einer gehörigen Portion Möhrensaft teilweise auskurieren, wenn man schnell handelt).

Tobias, der es von seinem Schreibtisch her gewohnt sein muß, Essenfassen von geistiger Arbeit (Lösungen ergrübeln) und praktischer Umsetzung (Lösungen formulieren, zur Abstimmung bringen, am Laptop, an der Tafel, in den Bastelecken zur klaren Form zu gießen) zu trennen, gibt übersetzt zu verstehen, daß das Futtern beim Labern im besetzten Plenarsaal ihm ein  nur mit Mühe und viel Geduld gerade noch erträgliches Greuel ist, zumindest jedoch ein zutiefst suspekter Akt, der an hemmungsloses Gammlertum und kraftlose Vokükombattantelei grenzt.

Etwas anderes als die hastige Huschelei bei der Beschreibung von Personen oder Atmosphären verwundert an diesem Beitrrag von Tobias jedoch weit mehr – obwohl die Forderungen der Studenten, in ihrer derzeitigen Form als Zwischenstand schon mal als A4-Ausdrucke vorliegend, immer wieder alle sind (verteilt, von Stapeln aufgegriffen, Foyerbesuchern in die Hände gedrückt), bemühen sich die jungen Streikenden trotzdem nach Kräften, stets für genügend Vorrat und frische Ausdrucke zu sorgen. Und was also interessiert den neugierigen FAZ-Schreiber am Plenum, an dem besetzten Raum? Die Voküschüsseln in den Händen der Leute, die an der Sammlung studentischer Forderungen, ihrem Transport von Druckern und zu diversen Infotischen den lieben Tag lang beschäftigt waren – und es, im übrigen, auch weiterhin sind. Phase zwei – der Weg zur konkreten Umsetzung – ist eingeläutet, die Studenten brennen darauf, sich in Findungsreichtum des für jede einzelne Forderung jeweils besten Weges auszuprobieren. Das dreistufige Verfahren dazu wurde bei der letzten Vollversammlung per Präsentation klar und deutlich vorgestellt, bisher befinden sich die Studenten noch locker im gesetzten Zeitrahmen für die zweite Phase.

Und im FAZ-Artikel? Im FAZ-Artikel ist zwischen den Zeilen zu erlesen, daß Tobias sich mit verbundenen Augen durch das Foyer bis in den Plenarsaal getastet haben muß, eine beachtliche Leistung für den laufenden Meter vielversprechender Journaille. Kein einziges Flugblatt, kein zielgerichtetes Plakat erreichte das  wahrscheinlich schlicht ziemlich hungrige Auge des Blattvertreters, dem im übrigen niemand verboten hat, sich am Topf gegen eine kleine Spende zu bedienen. Laut FAZ fläzen und mampfen ein paar Gammler und Döser müde im Plenarsaal, dabei ihrem Kontinentalvernetzer hörig wie ein Knäuel junger Katzen, hierarchisch im ahierarchischen Diskurs, im Grunde ahnungslos und wie immer in löchrigen Hosen.

Auch die in Tobias` Beitrag kurz erwähnte Pizzakette, deren Weihnachtsgeschenke durch eine weitere Entwerbungsaktion (zur ersten, fortlaufenden Entwerbungsaktion dieses Semesters vgl. Beitrag zur FU-Besetzung vom 11.11. in diesem Blatt) zu Weihnachtsgeschenken für das Kinderhilfswerk (Inhalt) sowie zu studentischen Tütenbriefkästen (Tüten der Adventskalender) umfunktioniert wurden – wozu sie im Nachhinein eine unterstützende Solidaritätserklärung der Pizzafirma erhalten hatten, hätte Tobias leicht in Erfahrung bringen können, wenn er sich für einen Teller sattmachendes Voküfutter Zeit bei seiner im Ergebnis leicht gehetzt wirkenden Recherche genommen hätte.

Respekt für die gründliche, zielgerichtete und  auf das Wesentliche  konzentrierte Arbeit, liebe FAZ. Und lieber Tobias -  Dir für den weiteren beruflichen Erfolg alles Beste

Es gibt mal wieder Bildungsproteste im Land. Ein klitzekleines Bisschen wagen also ein paar lose Grüppchen den Papst, also die Regierung, anzupupsen während sie eigentlich versuchen ihre eigene Stimme und ihre Rechte zu finden.

Ja, das Studium ist hart, zeitaufwändig, nervenzerreissend, ein vampirartiges Biest welches einen aussaugt und am Ende weiß man als braver strebsamer Karrierist, äh, Student nicht einmal ob es sich überhaupt lohnt. Frechheit! Der Hammer! Da müssen wir was tun! Oder? Oder vielleicht doch nicht? Kostet doch alles Geld am Ende. Wer immer gegen den Strom schwimmt, – kommt nicht weiter.

Die Revolution in Deutschland wird nicht stattfinden,
weil man dazu den Rasen betreten müsste.

War das Studium nicht einmal soetwas wie die Zeit für die Entwicklung des Charakters? Die Zeit in der man die Welt, das Leben, die Menschen, Tiere und eigentlich alles was wahrnehmbar ist, – näher kennenlernt? Nein? War es schon immer geprägt von Leistungsdruck und Wettbewerb? Ging es grundsätzlich immer darum “Bulimie Learning” zu betreiben? Hmm, muss verdammt lange her sein als es einmal anders zuging.

Tja, jedenfalls empfinde ich die Bildungsproteste als süss. Nicht mehr als süss, weil sie nicht tief genug gehen. Sie hinterfragen nicht genug. In unserem wirtschaftlichen System geht es nicht darum die Menschen charakterlich reifen zu lassen, ihnen Zeit zu lassen gewisse Zusammenhänge, auch in unvorstellbaren Größenordnungen, nachvollziehen zu lassen, – es geht darum fähige Fachidioten für die Industrie zu schaffen.

Dazu wird keine finanzielle Unabhängigkeit der Studenten gebraucht, das wäre viel zu teuer, dazu wird das Turbostudium gebraucht, damit es schneller Menschenmaterial für die Maschinerie gibt. Damit aber nicht jeder Idiot zum Fachidioten mit akademischen Hintergrund werden kann, diese Ausbildung ist schliesslich auch horrend-teuer, gibt es nunmal Zugangsbeschränkungen die allerorts als unheimlich sinnvoll bezeichnet werden. Am Ende hätten wir ja sonst sogar noch mündige Bürger die die Mächtigen und Herrschenden abschaffen, so gehts aber nun wirklich nicht!

Ihr wollt eine “Demokratisierung des Bildungssystems” habt aber noch nicht einmal an eine “Demokratisierung” der Politik, Wirtschaft usw. gedacht, – warum nur? Könnte das irgendwie mit dem Satz über die Mächtigen und Herrschenden zusammenhängen? Was hat uns Dutschke da vor 40 Jahren erzählt? Naja, scheißdrauf wir tun mal so als würden wir was gegen irgendwelche arg-lästigen Sachen machen, yeah! Man sind wir coole Bildungspiraten!

Menschenrecht auf Bildung? Ich kriegs kotzen alter! Es gibt auch ein Menschenrecht auf Nahrung, trotzdem verhungern täglich tausende Menschen, – scheint auch keinen zu interessieren. Wieso sollte dann also Bildung interessieren? Wieso sollte Bildung mit derart verblendeten Aktionen funktionieren, wenn sie nicht einmal zu reflektieren vermag, wessen Kind sie ist?! Wessen Brot ich ess, dessen Lied ich sing! Ja, so ist das und keinen störts.

Longer answer: Song Fu is a contest for songwriters and musicians, challenging them to create a song within certain rules and guidelines. Some are more free form, and some are much more constricted. The latest contest is one of the more constricting. You have a week to write, produce and uploaded an MP3 of your song to go with all the other groups, then be judged on originality, content, and how well you fit the spirit of the theme. Quite a challenge.

I stumbled upon this when Mike Lombardo randomly followed the BYD on Twitter. He had entered a song for Contest #4, and it looked like a fun project to join in on.  Due to a mix up, I’m not in the competition for #5, but I’ll try and work on one for the non voting ’shadow’ contest.

If you’re still reading this massive missive, I’ll say one of my favorites that had me laughing was ‘Mokey’ by Josh Holober-Ward. You don’t need to know the history of the characters to follow the story, and I admire the crafting of the song to the ‘I wish I wrote that’ ending.

Nhưng đứng ở một phương diện khách quan tớ vô cùng xin lỗi mọi người vì những thiếu sót của ngày hôm nay.

Tớ tự nhận thấy mình phụ trách trang trí nhưng xem xét hợp lí thì thực sự hôm nay chưa trang trí đc gì.

Ngay từ đầu và cho đến tận bây giờ, sau khi đã từng tổ chức rất nhiều sự kiện tớ chưa từng một lần nghĩ đến sẽ tổ chức cho những vị khách VIP. Mục đích của tớ khi tham gia vào lễ hội này chỉ là mong muốn tạo ra một hoạt động vui chơi thoải mái cho tất cả mọi người, để có thêm thật nhiều những kí ức bên nhau. Nhưng khi thực hiện thì mục đích của lễ hội này đã bị biến chất, Nó không mang tính chất  dành cho sinh viên học sinh mà dành cho những vị quan khách có chức có quyền. Tớ rất buồn và hoàn toàn khó chịu về việc đó. Có thể mọi người coi tớ ngớ ngẩn nhưng thực sự tớ ko muốn biến một ngày hội vui chơi thoải mái lại bị xoay tròn và biến thành công cụ PR cho nhà trường.

Hôm nay thực sự không hề như những gì mà tớ muốn và đã tưởng tượng trong đầu. TRong phần thiết kế, ý định của tớ là sẽ xử dụng đèn lồng và che hết ánh sáng trắng bên ngoài đi nhưng hôm nay đèn lồng không có? Trong ý muốn cũng muốn tổ chức các gameshow nhưng cuối cùng cũng ko đc. Lá phong rải ra vẫn còn quá rải rác, ý tớ muốn là đi phải đạp vào lá xào xạc Y_Y

Một tuần lễ đã trôi qua.

Kí ức đã có, có rất nhiều

Vui có, buồn có, nước mắt có, mệt mỏi có, cáu giận có

Nhưng dù có thế nào thì chúng ta cũng đã ở đây ngày hôm nay, cùng cố gắng và dù có thiếu sót gì đi chăng nữa thì công sức của mọi người là hoàn toàn không thể phủ nhận.

Tớ rất vui vì đã được hợp tác với mọi người, những con người nhiệt tình nhất mà tớ từng biết, có trách nhiệm nhất mà tớ từng biết tuy đôi khi vẫn còn rất ham chơi

Một tuần trôi qua rất nhanh và tuần sau lại trở về đúng quy củ. Tớ có lẽ sẽ rất nhớ những lúc ngồi tô lá và cùng nghe nhạc xem phim, cùng được ăn cơm với mọi người, cùng đi ăn uống. Cùng động viên nhau.

Time for a night out on the town!

Something made me happy today, and that is that I met a seemingly nice girl in town, at pressbyrån.
I asked her if she was half asian, turns out she is half Philipino, and I told her ” Aha so thats why you’re so pretty “

For one of the first times in my life, I was nervous.  Had to park the ‘King in the city on Halloween.  Figured I’d pony up and pay for parking (totally against my sense of will!), and I did.

Riding in from the house was smooth and easy.  With the lady on the back, those sexy jumps the Stage II kit provides were what kept the bike sporty feeling when pulling away from a stop, heading uphill, or striking out on those highway straights.  Constantly happy and relieved I went for it.

We took the turnpike, heading north toward the Holland tunnel about 1 in the afternoon on Saturday.  I drifted upwards of 70mph in fifth gear.  It was effortless.  And with the road open and the sun bright overhead, I put it in 6th and let it rip.

The little green ‘6′ light doesn’t come on until you’ve fully released the clutch lever, and then there’s a tiny delay still before the bike really knows it’s in 6th.

I realized I forgot to put the windshield back on as I tore past 100mph and then past 110mph.  It was almost scary how still-effortless it was.  My mind flashed to the rating of the tires – the Dunlops might not be rated for such speeds and might blow off or something.  I had no idea.  But I dismissed it because I just had to know what was there.  The needle crept up and the road sunk away.  115mph.  The ease with which I cranked the throttle and felt the bike fall forward was the same ease it would be to step off the edge of a cliff.  It was just right there, easy as pie.  Too far forward and you’re done.

But once 115mph felt safe, I stayed there.  Lord, that’s fast.  And call me nuts, but  I had the widest grin on my stupid mug as I rolled through the curves.  It was smooth!  It was fast!  It was FLYING!

That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it?

It was a remarkable rip-off.  I guess that’s what I get for being paranoid.  I’ll park on the street like normal from now on.  I spend so much on insurance, why the hell should I be worried?

Rode to dinner, parked on the street – sat by the window, obviously.  Even with all the drunks in the east village, no one touched the bike.  It was very reassuring.  Like it’s a different city than it was 10 years ago, somewhat.

(Side note: FU is my favorite sushi – so, so fresh and good! Seems to have hit his stride and isn’t as generous as he was, and service is a little slow, but the food quality is still top-notch and the other bits are the reason it’s affordable.)

Then the rain came, about 9 or 930, and I had to ride (solo – the girls hopped in a cab to get their costumes ready while the boys hung back and ordered more food) in that rain.  I’ll admit to apprehension.  I had all my gear on, it wasn’t a cold night so the wetness wasn’t uncomfortable, it was a short ride (11th st to 95th st … maybe half hour?), and it was familiar roads.  Still…how does the King handle in wet wet wet world?

The Road King Classic is like a pig in shit, that’s how it handles.

Can I say that again? Mothers, put the kids to bed.

My FLHRC made the FDR its BITCH as I streaked through the rain.

Wow, again, just wow.  When will the WOW’ing stop??

Within just a few moments, I was dazzled by how smooth the ride was.  That 850lbs was working for me.  Puddles the size of taxicabs were no problem.  Those generous floorboards actually shielded my feet/ankles very well – had no idea, was planning on getting soaked (had extra socks and everything). The suspension was undaunted by the shit-ton of pot holes on that strip of war road.

Told you it was a war road.

Anyhow … I made it without issue.  It was genuinely a good ride.

The next day was a day like any other.  I got over my fear of parking on the street (whereas with the Volusia I happily parked on sidewalks, under scaffolds, at construction sites, at hydrants, etc) and left the Harley on a broad sidewalk across the street from some detention center near the water.

Riding home in the late afternoon on Sunday, it was much colder than coming in with the sun.  I couldn’t help cranking up to 115mph-ish, but then settled into a solid 95 and coasted home.

Probably due to the lower ambient temperatures, there was no pinging when I parked this weekend.  I suppose I might make it through the winter without having to get a proper tune, which is great because I don’t have any cash at the moment and I don’t know what to get anyway.

Reading up on exhaust, I think i’ll experiment with the baffles in the SuperTrapp.  New discs are cheap, and a few more discs might up performance – a few less might up the noise.  Very cool, will have to trial-and-error it.

I might also drill out the baffles – I have my mint stock pipes still so I can always throw them on in answer to a fix-it-ticket.

And, y’know, I might spend this saturday drilling out the cat.  I’ve got blueballs for a good roar or a solid idle.  Supid EPA.

We are finally finalizing our plans in the Tv studio ^^

-He is strikingly similar to my all favorite James Rolfe, better known as Angry Video Game Nerd.
I originally wanted my teacher to appear performing as James Rolfe, but since he is pretty unknown at school, let alone Sweden at all…we scrapped that idea…Instead he is gonna talk about basketball, and spin a ball on his finger!

I wore my supercool Japanese Schooluniform today, it was very comfortable actually, I wouldnt mind wearing it everyday.
Although I wore a pretty thin layer of clothing under, it still got pretty warm, so I better not or it’s gonna start smellin… PUN!
Unfortunetly because it is pretty old, two buttons fell off, which was a pickle but luckily I managed to collect them so I can reattach ‘em ^^
