As gas prices continue to rise, the auto industry is out in full force touting the benefits of car maintenance. Many repair shops even have custom “fuel saver” services. While maintaining one’s car is indeed important, does it really save gas? Before we answer this, let’s step back and look at auto maintenance for today’s cars.

The first question we need to ask is – what does my car need (according to the manufacturer) for it to be considered “maintained.” Today’s cars no longer have distributor caps, rotors, points, and a variety of other ignition components – so these don’t need maintenance. Many vehicles now come with extended service parts such as 100,000-mile platinum spark plugs and life-time fuel filters. Oil change intervals have been extended to 5,000 miles or more. The 3,000-mile oil change is ancient history. Coolant flushes and transmission services aren’t needed until 100,000 miles if at all. Yet, even if we performed all the above services, will they increase fuel efficiency? Probably not. Unless your vehicle is misfiring (i.e., not running on all cylinders), you’re gas mileage is likely fine.

So what part of car maintenance adversely effects gas mileage for the average driver of a late model vehicle? Three things: tire pressure, air filters, and excess carbon.

Tire Pressure: Setting your tire pressure is free, and is the best maintenance service you can perform to maintain maximum fuel efficiency. It’s that simple.

Air Filters: Air filters can indeed get plugged after a considerable amount of driving and can then restrict air flow, which will not allow your fuel to burn efficiently. This can also cause excess carbon build-up, which can reduce miles per gallon. The good news: air filters are cheap ($15 to $30), are easy to install, and usually only need replacement every 30,000 miles.

Excess Carbon: There is another auto maintenance service that “can” help gas mileage. It’s called a fuel system cleaning service. Some repair centers call it fuel injector auto maintenance, or a fuel injection service. Simply, chemicals are added to your fuel system through a variety of orifices to clean out excess carbon deposits on your valves, pistons and intake manifold. This naturally forming carbon (in excess) is not good for gas mileage. Excess carbon absorbs gasoline, which would otherwise be used to power your vehicle. However, before you run out and spend the $150 + to have this service performed, there is one important consideration – the service will only work for vehicles that need it. In other words, yes the stuff works, but you’re vehicle may not have any excess carbon build-up. You wouldn’t wash clean clothes – right?

When you see those “fuel saver” services for $100 to $300, they’ll likely include an air filter, tire pressure check, and a fuel system cleaning service. If you’re wondering whether or not your vehicle needs it, ask yourself the following:

1) Do I use quality gasoline consistently? 2) Have I replaced my air filter at least every 30,000 miles? 3) Have I checked my tire pressure recently?

If you can answer these questions affirmatively, you’re probably ok. Buying cheap, no-name gas once-in-awhile is ok. Replacing the air filter and setting your tire pressure is common sense. Also, if you drive like grandma, get out on the highway and press the vertical pedal at your right foot “all the way to the floor” until your vehicle accelerates to speeds at which you’re not all too entirely comfortable. Then repeat a few more times. This will help clean out excess carbon – FREE – less the cost of fuel. Be careful. Watch out for cops.

In summary, follow your manufacturer guidelines for your car’s maintenance – not ones designed by those who stand to benefit most. Use name-brand fuel, set your tire pressure now and again, pop in an air filter, according to your car’s recommended interval, and don’t be afraid to drop the hammer now and again.

While I was browsing the CNN news website looking for old articles, I’ve stumble upon an article talking about water fuel cell, also known as hho fuel kits.

Ya…betul tu. Saya banyak terima e mail dan pertanyaan. Banyak sangat iklan mengenai alat jimat fuel sehingga jadi keliru. Betul kah ? Tulin kah…? Macamana nak pilih yang terbaik…?

Ya post saya kali ini kita bincangkan tentang itu.

PERTAMA SEKALI KITA KEMBALI PADA BASIC, ATAU ASAS PENJIMATAN MINYAK. Sila kaji konsep terkini yang di guna pakai sebagai asas rekaan alat alat tersebut. Sekurang kurangnya ada 6 konsep asas innobasi yang ada dalam pasaran sekarang. petuanya di sini senang saja, anda tanya penjual alat save fuel itu bagaimana caranya ia menjimatkan minyak (how it works):

1. konsep fuel alternatif, samada 100% atau sebahagiannya.

2. konsep alam sekitar, green engine, mesra alam etc

3. konsep polarisasi atom fuel, daya magnet (besi berani).

4. konsep daya letrik

5. konsep daya ruapan pembakaran dan oxigen tambahan

6. konsep cecair pill tambahan

7. konsep memandu berhemah.

Setiap satu konsep rekaan ini memang boleh menjimatkan minyak, kalau pasang lebih satu satu lagi baik, tetapi tentulah banyak wang diperlukan, yang pentingnya dalam banyak banyak konsep itu mana yang tinggi penjimatannya dan kurang maintanannya, tahan lama dan berapa peratus boleh jimat.

KONSEP FUEL ALTERNATIF DAN MESRA ALAM.

Pereka alat jimat minyak berkonsepkan di atas mementingkan alam sekitar, mesra alam di mana pemakai alat ini meminimakan pengeluaran gas toxic. Jadi mereka mencari bahan bakaran selain dari fuel asli petrol/disel. Mereka cari bio -fuel dan air. Bahan lain selain fuel asli yang murah sekali ialah air (water). Penjimat minyak jenis ini akan menggunakan air sebagai bahannya seperti kereta hybrid hydrigen atau alat penjimat hydrogen booster atau hydrogen generetor. Semua orang tahu bahawa air boleh mengeluarkan gas hydrogen dan ianya sangat powerful (hydrogen bomb).Alat ini makin popular kerana mesra alam. Asap dari kereta ini boleh di hidu.Konsep ini adalah air di tukar kepada gas hydrogen dan disuntik ke kebok pembakaran bersama sama dgn fuel biasa……….tepat sekali firman Allah bahawa air adalah sumber kuasa dan kejadian….

Termasuk juga dalam konsep ini alat penyembur air atau mist sprayer/injector (kerana sebab sebab tertentu alat ini tak popular)

Penggunaan alat ini maintainance free, top-up pakai air. Full version alat ini sangat mahal dari RM5,000 keatas, tetapi basic set alat ini di antara RM1,500 – 2,500. Kereta jenis ini full version pula juga hampir 2 kali ganda kereta biasa. Kuasa Kuda kereta boleh meningkat dan perbatuan boleh sehingga 80%. Di USA produk mesra alam akan dapat potongan incometax.

KONSEP POLARISASI ATOM FUEL ATAU MAGNATIC FORCE ENERGY

Pereka alat ini menggunakan medan daya atau Kuasa magnatik bagi menyelaras polarisasi atom fuel biasa sebelum masuk kebok pembakaran dan dengan itu kuantiti fuel yang masuk dapat dikurangkan sedikit. Ya, ianya boleh membantu tetapi penjimatannya kurang dari 5%. Alat ini murah dan simple di mana dua atau lebih keping besi magnat di kepitkan pada saluran intake fuel. Lama kelamaan, sebagai besi magnat powernya akan haus dan kena pasang yang baru. Tidak dapat di pastikan samada ianya mesra alam atau tidak

KONSEP DAYA LETRIK.

Pereka alatan ini akan menggunakan letrik yang sediada di kereta anda untuk menigkatkan dan menstabilkan voltage dan seterusnya menigkatkan prestasi kereta anda. Biasanya penjimatan fuel akan berlaku sehingga 20%. Alatan mungkin ‘outlife’ beteri anda dan memberi tekanan kepada alternator dalam jangka panjang. Kos pemasangan alatan ini dari RM200 – 700 tergantung kepada kualitinya. Walau bagaimanapun alatan ini di Malaysia, eg “i-charge” di jual secara MLM dan kita semua tahu bahawa produk MLM itu kos sebenarnya ialah kurang separuh dari harga jualan. Pembelian produk secara MLM tidak menggambarkan nilai sebenar produk tersebut. Tidak dapat di pastikan ianya mesra alam atau tidak. Sebenarnya anda boleh memperbaiki sistem elektrik kereta anda dgn menggunakan beteri lebih tinggi plate drp yang sedia ada, pasang lagi satu earthing wire, pakai calbe plug yang berkualiti (racing cable), kosnya di bawah RM100.

Yang di atas lah i-charge dan Booster yang di bawah juga menggunakan daya elektrik.

KONSEP DAYA RUAPAN PEMBAKARAN DAN OXIGEN TAMBAHAN

Pereka alatan berkonsepkan daya ruapan ialah dengan anggapan bahawa fuel yang di suntik itu merupakan fuel solid. Jadi mereka menchipta alat yang boleh meruapkan dahulu fuel itu kemudian barulah di suntik kedalam ruang pembakaran. Dengan demikian yang di bakar ialah ruapan fuel dan ini akan menjimatkan penggunaan fuel sehingga 40%. Alatan ada yang mahal dan ada yang murah dari fuel heater biasa hingga yang berteknoloji tinggi dari RM120 – 700

Fuel saver 7000 MPG ini sangat berkesan menggunakan konsep peruapan fuel.

Konsep ini kadang kadang hanya menggunakan air paip biasa sahaja dalam water injection sisstem: produk ini mesra alam. Kosnya RM250 – 500. Pretasi water injection ini adalah 30% tetapi ianya kurang popular

KADANG KADANG ALATAN TAMBAHAN INI DI GUNAKAN bagi menarik keluar gas samping dari kebok enjin, di panggil PCV Enhanse. Alat ini tidak mahal kira RM200 sahaja tapi amat berkesan di mana bead di gunakan bagi membersihkan pulutan dari kebok injin. Ianya lebih baik dari cecair additive dan boleh meningkatkan prestasi sekitar 10%.

ALATAN UNTUK MEMACU OXIGEN TAMBAHAN pula adalah mesra alam dan kosnya sekitar RM200 juga bolih menjimatkan minyak sehingga 15%: Jenis ini seperti cyclon dan Tornado.

KONSEP CECAIR/PILL TAMBAHAN ADDITIVE LIQUID)

Pereka berkonsepkan cecair ini adalah di mana cecair tertentu di masukkan kedalam minyak fuel atau pun minyak pelincir bagi menolong prestasi pembakaran atau pun pergeseran. Ianya tidak mesra alam dan prestasi penjimatan adalah di bawah 10%. Harganya murah tetapi selalu kena beli lagi…Tergolong dalam kategori ini seperti minyak pelincir syarikat minyak yang banyak terjual sekarang…entah entah nama apa aja.

Disamping itu ada yang dibuat khas untuk tujuan ini seperti H-gen32 dan sebagainya.

YANG BENTUK MACAM PILL PUN ADA:

yang ini pula RM22.00 sebiji untuk satu tangki minyak

MAP DAN EFIE SENSOR CONTROLLER

Sebenarnya MAP dan EFIE ini adalah alatan bagi mengawal oxigen sensor dalam injection fuel. Orang tahu oxegen sensor ini di gunakan untuk mengawal keperluan oxigen, atau supaya jangan save minyak. (Anda baca tajuk berkaitan dalam page sebelah kanan: KALAU BETUL MENGAPA PENGELUAR KERETA TAK BUAT BENDA NI dan RAHSIA PENGELUAR KERETA TERBONGKAR.)jadi bila oxigen masuk banyak dia akan arahkan fuel juga masuk banyak…..jadi alat ini di gunakan untuk memperdayakan oxigen sensor tu supaya ‘ Hey..jangan ganggu akulah, aku nak jimat fuel ni,,,bahlol!. Hang dok jaga kepentingan Pembuat Kereta tu, apa jadahnya..’. Jadi ianya bukan alat jimat minyak tetapi tanpanya alat jimat minyak tak berkesan dalam injin injection fuel.

OK KALAU DAH GITU, MACAM MANA NAK PILIH? NAK PILIH KONSEP APA? PASANG SATU KOMPONEN KE ATAU BEBERAPA KOMPONEN SEKALI GOS? PASANG SATU DULU KEMUDIAN TAMBAH LAGI BOLEH ?… TUNGGU SAYA SAMBUNG LAGI…..dah mula seronok ni…
