I’ve been meaning to do a post on the current state of Ugandan football for some time now, highlighting – among other things – the Cranes relative success achieved under the stewardship of Scottish coach Bobby Williamson. Uganda are currently the highest ranked side, by FIFA, in East Africa sat at 77th in the overall standings and 14th on the continental list, above nations such as South Africa, Mozambique and Togo. This surprisingly high ranking for a side not currently competing in the 2010 World Cup and 2010 Africa Nations Qualifying round has divided opinion from many football pundits in the country.

Whilst doing my daily rounds of the East African newspapers I came across a very interesting article written by Ugandan journalist Tusiime Ibrahim on the current state of the game in Ugandan, particularly the way its being run by the countries governing body. When the current embattled Federation of Uganda Football Association(FUFA) president replaced Dennis Obua at the helm of this country’s football authority, many soccer fans across the country thought that the problems that had stifled the growth of the country’ game had come to an end.

The election of Lawrence Mulindwa was seen as a panacea to our country’s deteriorating level of football that was presided over by an allegedly corrupt Dennis Obua regime that drove many soccer lovers out of local football and into the arms of foreign football. The fans saw no reason in watching local matches whose results would be determined even before the kick off.

The early years of the Mulindwa administration saw what many hoped was a revival of truly competitive football, prompting a return of some fans back to stadia. The euphoria was shortlived as the new administration quickly fell prey to the same ills that bedevilled previous football leadership.

cautam azi ceva pe un site. si mi-a atras atentia o reclama la un restaurant-cred-care ofera servicii de catering si de delivery.

am zis ca nu e adevarat, ca asa ceva nu exista, ca nu se poate ca niste oameni de publicitate sa fi venit cu o asa idee sau daca n-au venit ei, sa fi acceptat sa faca realizarea.

reclama e asa:

nici nu stiu cu ce sa incep. cu faptul ca-desi au imaginile alea cu animale care, in mintea lor, ii salveaza-e absolut jignitoare reclama?  in primul rand, nu toate gagicile comanda salata. si chiar daca ar fi asa, reclama asta cu “salata, desigur” o faci la un restaurant care e axat pe lean cuisine, pe produse usoare, dietetice. da’ cand bagi reclama cu “ceafa” dup-aia, nu merge.

asa…si am ajuns la “ceafa, vita!” cum, cum sa faci asa ceva? ok, e discutie intre porcusor si vaca, bun. dar…cat de fara creier sa fii sa te prezinti potentialilor clienti cu o reclama in care clientul (porcusorul) e intrebat “Tu ce vrei ma?” (mai lipseste si virgula dintre vrei si ma, dar deja asta e ceva minor, in conditiile de fata). pe bune, cum? stiu ca ma repet, dar de cand am vazut reclama, numai intrebarea asta o am in minte.

si “vita” ala (din nou, chiar si cu imaginea) da rau. e urat, zgarie si vizual si auditiv si cum vreti. desi, se potriveste in contextul creat. tu, reprezentant al restaurantului iti intrebi clientul “Tu ce vrei ma?,” deci de ce nu ti-ar raspunde “Ceafa, vita!”

si asta nu e tot. vine partea finala, vine sloganul. “Vorbim pe ‘limba’ ta.” aici deja ar trebui dati in judecata (exagerez, evident, dar nu atat de mult pe cat se pare) pentru afirmatii calomnioase. cum adica vorbesti pe ‘limba’ mea? (nu inteleg de ce cuvantul limba e intre ghilimele, dar fie).

adica eu, potential client, ori sunt o pitipoanca (nu incerc aici sa jignec doamnele care comanda salate, dar la noi in batatura-din pacate-comandarea unei salate la restaurant este asociata cu fandoseala, cu atitudinea de pitzi/fufa care pe langa salata, cere si apa plata cu lamaie, deci e clar ca- intentionat sau nu, tot la imaginea asta fac si ei apel prin reclama) ori un/o needucat(a), care habar n-are de maniere si nu stie sa se comporte, sa vorbeasca etc.

a, si am intrat si pe site. si acolo au o pagina care se cheama “la zid,” unde zic ei ca vor enumera persoanele/companiile (nici nu stiu) cu care nu au colaborat bine si pe care nu le recomanda. fratioare, din nou..proces, calomnie etc. daca ai dovezi (facturi neplatite la timp sau mai stiu eu ce), sa zicem ca ar fi oarecum ok. dar daca te-apuci si zici de nu stiu care ca e de tot rahatul asa, in gura mare…nu cred ca o sa-ti fie bine. plus ca daca n-ai colaborat eficient, poate sa fie si vina ta…si la ce reclame ti-ai facut, mai degraba l-as crede p-ala care te-ar pune pe tine intr-o lista d-asta.

si inca ceva si gata. au doua tipuri de meniuri : cu porcusor; slogan: face matzu mare. ce sa mai zic? si cu gaina; slogan: ceva mai fin. ei, si la acest “ceva mai fin,” cateva din produse sunt:

-Piept de pui pane servit cu cartofi prajiti, sos de mustar cu miere si sos barbeque;

-Cartofi prajiti acoperiti cu branza topita, costita crocanta, rosii, ceapa verde, serviti cu dressing taranesc;

-Burger de vita la gratar cu costita si branza, servit in chifla cu susan si cu cartofi prajiti.

Lembram daquela brincadeira iniciada pelo Leandro Ribeiro, há uns posts atrás, onde todos postamos o que seria o grid ideal da F-1 para 2010? Pois é, gostei da coisa e resolvi botar ordem na casa. A Scottish football manager faces the sack as the coach of the Ugandan national football team – unless he signs a form condemning sodomy.

Formers Rangers star Bobby Williamson, who has spoken out against discrimination during his career, faces the boot unless he falls in line with the anti-gay government.

Homosexuality is illegal in Uganda, and Williamson has been asked to part in an anti-gay offensive in a bid to rid the game of an alleged “culture of homosexuality”.

Every coach in the country must sign the form handed out by the Ugandan FA (FUFA), which “denounces any support or involvement in sodomy-related acts.”

Williamson, who has managed Kilmarnock and Hibs in the past, said that most politicians and footballing authorities were strongly against homosexuality in Uganda.

He said: “There has been a lot of talk about homosexuality in the game in Uganda and I’ve heard stories, although I have no evidence of it.

“What I do know is that politicians and football officials seem strongly against it.

“What I will say is that you have to abide by the law of the land in whatever country you happen to be working in.

“Until FUFA speak to me about that it’s a hypothetical matter and I’ll reserve my views until I’m approached.”

Authorities initiated the clampdown after a prominent Ugandan footballer, Isaac Omalla, reported his manager Charles Ayeko to FUFA, claiming that the older man had sexually assaulted him after a match.

FUFA are persisting with their efforts despite the fact that Uganda could be expelled from FIFA if their actions do not fall in line with the pro-inclusion policies of the sport’s global governing body.

Stone Kyambadde, a senior Ugandan football official, said: “We are going to address [sodomy] in our code of conduct.

“The code will denounce any support of involvement in sodomy-related acts.

His calls were echoed by Ugandan newspapers and Rogers Mulindwa, a FUFA spokesman, who said: “We totally condemn it.

“We want evidence to pin the people involved – it’s here that we will start the clean up.”

Williamson, who had spells as a player in Scotland and England, was appointed coach of Uganda in August of last year.

The Glaswegian has spoken favourably of Ugandan football in the past, saying that his colleagues in the 84 per cent Christian country were “grateful for what little they have” and “God-fearing”.

I have wanted to take Peanut’s pacifier or “ba ba” away for a while now. This is her name for her prized lovey. I was going to last year but did not have the strength. Memories of Pookie came flooding back. Pookie actually did okay. She just cried a bit one night but she refused to take her naps from then on, and I paid for it. She was horrible for several months with no nap.

I kept praying about it and Peanut started with the fevers again and choking at night and nap time from all the saliva that a pacifier can produce. I decided it was time. We had been talking about it for a week now. I took it away last night. When I walked away after our goodnight routine, I heard nothing. A few minutes later I heard a whimper. I went into her room. “What is wrong? I asked”. Peanut said, “I would like my ba ba’s back please.” Oh, my heart melted. Stay strong I kept hearing in my head. Stay strong! I reminded her tomorrow morning we would go pick out a new toy if you can give it up. “Okay, mommy” She did fine. She did not go to sleep until 10:30 PM. I guess her pacifiers were the ticket to knocking her out, but she slept from 10:30 until 7:30 all night without crying or asking for it.

As soon as she got up and she had her breakfast, we were off to the store. She picked two small things. She picked Muno and Plex from the show Yo Gabba Gabba. This is her favorite show. She added them to her collection. She also has Fufa and Robie. She just needs Tuti and her collection will be complete. I am so proud of my big girl. We’ll see how she does at nap time but I think she will be fine! She will be three in a couple of months so it was time.

Ce e cu diferenta asta intre oameni, de unii au sa-si puna in cap toti banii din lume..au case ..vile ..masini..conturi cu 14 mii de zero-uri …si altii au nimic!?

Oh well, i have been wondering about it for quite a few days that passed by because i have to deal with some really pathetic ones which i ,BTW, called once friends. Yeah, talking shit behind my back and behind my friends’ back. Let’s say it’s ok until you arrive at a certain stage with it but after a time is really pathetic i must say it. And really, calling someone biatch without knowing that person makes things only worse. And all this done by teenagers (meaning age around 17) and some grownups (meaning age 21,26,30). Where will the world go? Come on people, we like a band for music and not because their private lives (who they are dating, who they are going to bed and stuff). Insult those you know in person and you everything about them and betray them not those about who someone told you and may have been told only lies. By these people some are gathering fame, oh yeah, they might just think that they make those to go lower than low but actually they don’t. People, i have only one single advice, which i nowadays repeat quite often in here too: Get a life and don’t bother by others’. Listen to music but leave the band members’ private lives alone. Know it’s hard (been through fangirl moments too) but try and will see that you can enjoy the music better, and make friends to discuss lyrics and melodies, not the rumors and love-life of singer/drummer/bass/guitar players’.

Seems like i won’t ever have a peaceful day, without having the opportunity to meet up with different kinds of people. And why everyone wants me to proove i’m really a dangerous kind and not just chosen the domain to have one also passing with The Rasmus song. Will have to  get over it somehow. Anyways, 3 more days until the gig and i’m already waiting as hell for it, one reason is meeting up with fellow forumers and friends and yes of course for the gig itself. Well, got to go and relax a bit cause had a really tiring day at school and i’ve frozen outside while being in the town.

NEWLY elected Super Division Clubs Association chairman Godfrey Kisekka has promised to lobby FUFA(Federation of Uganda Football Associations) to allocate part of the annual $250,000 grant from soccer governing body FIFA, to support his members.

Kisekka, who was elected to the clubs’ top job after serving it for nine years as secretary and vice-chairman, argued that FUFA does little to support the association.

“We all know that our clubs are the backbone of the national teams but when our players get injured at national engagements, we are required to treat them without any help from FUFA,” he argued.

Kisekka was elected unopposed during the associations’ general assembly at FUFA House yesterday.

The KCC interim chairman has been deputy to Col. Jackson Tushabe of Victors club.

Villa secretary Edward Luyimbazi Mugalu beat Mbale Heroes’ Moses Twalla by 20-9 votes for the vice-chairman’s seat.

Acting commissioner for sports in the ministry of education and sports and chairman of Boroboro football club Omara Apita beat Police’s Livingstone Lajan in the vote for secretary.

Newly instituted Express interim committee members were locked out because they aren’t yet recognised by SDCA. Masaka did not show up.
