Don’t get me wrong I adore Nicole but um I dont really know what’s going on here besides going incognito. Nicole hate to break it to you but the more clothing you used to hide whose under there the obvious. Nicole is a frequent user of the bohemian look and I think she’s now attempting to incorporate bohemian with winter.

The dress is lookin’ good, but the shoes – ouch! It is almost too painful to look at them! Why would anyone wanna wear sky-high clog-like shoes?

For the first time in a loooong time I like this Zac Posen dress on the Model versus Mischa. Mischa looks like she doesn’t even want to be at the Fashion show. Just look at her face expression and body language. The sad part is that the Model wearing the Zac Posen dress, is probably not even a Model.

Mischa wore a hot pink Zac Posen Resort 2010 gown with cut-out details is really striking, the cut flatters and the silver cuffs are a nice accessory.

sooo Who WHORE it Best ??

Oh, holy hell people. Try as I might to befriend them, Gap jeans hate me. I can hardly tell you how many years and salespeople I’ve burned through in my fruitless attempts to patronize that fine establishment. It’s fucking epic.

Three states, two flagship stores, four sizing options, two inseam choices, and five denim wash variations later; still no jeans. If the waist fits, the length is too long. If the hip and butt fits, the waist is too big. It. Does. Not. Work. EVER.

But when I heard tell of a new fancy premium denim line at The Gap this fall, my Gap Jeans Optimism was rekindled. Oh yes, we were off and running. I thought to myself, “Self, surely, surely your time is now.”

Determined to make use of their recent $20 off jeans sale at the end of August, I tried to nonchalantly approach The Jeans during a lunch hour. I even brought along GDF for moral support. She’s been an instrumental force in the purchase of a number of things, including but not limited to Julianne.

So, GDF and I fell into the Gap, where I proceeded to head straight for the denim section, optimistically thinking, “today is The Day.” I even acquired help from a friendly and reliable store manager. I zeroed in on the sexy boot cut and the real straight leg jeans, alas to no avail. I then turned to something known as “The Perfect Boot.” Yeah, the “Perfect Boot”? Not so perfect.

For all my optimism and all the salesgirl’s efforts, the jeans did not work. In fact, come to think of it, they somehow fit me so as to provide ample room for some man bits oddly enough. Huh.

Anyway, there I sat, defeated and discouraged, and without even so much as a snack. I may have brought in reinforcements, but I had gone in emotionally and mentally unprepared and it was time to pay the price.

I tried to console my hard-working sales gal as I handed the antique washed Pile of Failure back to her. I assured her that it wasn’t her fault, that she did everything she could, but that sometimes these things just happen. It’s outside of our control. I am clearly a freak of nature.

In the meantime, everyone else sauntered about the fitting room, enjoying the soon to be theirs affordable premium denim. Everyone else looked so cute and happy and carefree. La la la!!!! And then there’s me: Gap bottomless, shuffling along, without even the interest in going to Forever 21 or Sephora in consolation afterward.

Jeans shopping at The Gap is enough to drive me to drink.

It was a eye opening event at TAC at One Marina Bolervard. Had dinner with the speakers on the last day at Alex’s office, at Central on top in the evening. An open breeze chill out enviroment outside their office and the food was good as well as the beer.

On the sideline, we were each given a gift which was a headset cum microphone for skype and it is skype #1 product

Two of my favorite sites are total opposites; In Style and Go Fug Yourself (GFY.) That means what In Style posts as fantastic, Go Fug Yourself may post a picture of the same look as fuggly. And if you’re not familiar with GFY or the term fuggly, check out their blog for some great laughs. Be prepared for a different kind of fashion addiction!

I have to admit, when I see way out fashion on In Style, I check to see if it’s been posted on GFY. Hey, it’s couture but I wonder how they can call some things fashionable. In fact my first reaction to the Look of the Day on Sandra Bullock (8/27/09 – photo’s below) was totally FUG! I think she usually looks fantastic and very fashionable and I would wear anything she does but this had me thinking ICK! NO! and HUH?! Maybe not in that order, but seriously, especially when her outfit was chosen as their Look of the Day??!! Yes, their LOOK OF THE DAY!! Seriously! The front fabric of the dress forms a heart. In Style called it avante garde. And as if that weren’t enough, her hair looked as if it were half-up or falling out of an up-do and she was barely smiling.

I immediately went to see if GFY blogged about it.

Of course there was an even fugglier photo of her posted on GFY. Do those ladies try to find the least flattering shots? To be fair, it wasn’t that much different than the In Style photo. I searched on-line and found a few good photos and I think both sites could have posted a better shot. There were some nice close-ups, too, but that wasn’t the point for In Style and GFY.

But the boots? With the dress?

I consider myself trendy but I don’t know that I would/could wear the boots with a couture dress. With any dress. Without being laughed at. Or totally fugged. Although I am middle-aged. What about you? Would you wear that outfit or something similar? Ankle sox (and socks, I suppose) are a new fall trend, too. Neon colors, worn with pumps, booties and yes, of course; dresses and skirts.

After looking at all the photo’s I decided that what the hell; Sandra rocked the look, boots and all! She looked like she was having some fun. Everyone obviously has different taste and that’s why one woman’s fashion fug is another woman’s look of the day. Whose taste is it anyway?

Today is shaping up to be one of those days when I just want to punch someone. Say perhaps the lady “in line” in front of me this morning when I went to get coffee.

“EXCUSE ME! I was in line!”

“Oh, I’m sorry.”

Glares and shuffling ensued. It was every woman (or bitch) for herself. And as her Eyes of Hatred continued to bore into me, my face went hot and I got inordinately pissed. I mean, it’s not like I deliberately cut in front of the lady (who incidentally maybe shouldn’t have been ordering the Sausage McMuffin breakfast combo with iced coffee, oj, an extra hashbrown, a parfait, and a Cinnamelt). Of course Ms. I’m-Ordering-a-Breakfast-for-Four would be “in line” in front of me. Of course.

This is when I decided (because I apparently have STELLAR decision-making skills before 8 am and most importantly pre-coffee) not to leave well enough alone.

“You know, I really didn’t mean to cut in front of you…you were all the way back by the doorway. I thought you were just digging in your bag.”

“Well, I was. But I was still in line.” (She said “in line” without the ironic air quotes though. The hulking cow actually meant it.)

Jesus fucking Christ, I thought. And before I knew what I was doing…

“GREAT! That’s great! And guess what? YOU STILL ARE!”

She didn’t say anything after that. I stood there seething, even though I really had accidentally cut, and we both preceded to wait on her fucking family feast so that I could get my measly coffee.

In my mind, I imagined what she would have done if I had told her what I really thought. If I had said something like, “Well you don’t have be a fat bitch about it” or “Lady, don’t fuck with me.” I don’t know, something a little provocative.

Toolbag. Fat, bitchy Toolbag.

No! No! No! Amber you do not wear a nice ass herve whatever his name is skirt which is freakin HAWT!!! along with some booties and a sports bra! What the hell are you on?? Is she serious? I guarantee you, Kanye told her to wear as lil as nothing on to the movie set of Just Wright with Queen Latifah. ugh! ugh! ugh! im so mad at her right now! ugh!

I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt that she got either breast implants or a breast reduction. Since she doesn’t want to be sitting around and instead whore herself out, maybe just maybe she thought a sports bra would be a great idea! I still think its a BAD idea! Ayi Ya Yai.

Oh yes, they’re still around, those badly-dressed men.

Yesterday, while innocently walking down the sidewalk toward my place from the bus stop, I was nearly run down by a cyclist (on the sidewalk, grrr) wearing the following:

1. Purple spandex bike shorts
2. Filthy olive-drab fanny pack
3. Black sneaker-slides
4. Nothing else

Oy.

Half the fun in people-watching is that you get to make fun of other people. The other half is having a good laugh at them.

"Psst, we're Asian"

Sometimes people don’t even need to be made fun of — they look ridiculous enough to provide an endless supply of natural laughter. These moments are magical and should be cherished with a best friend or grandmother. (I remember being little and sitting outside the Red Lobster eating french fries and vinegar with my grandmother, first experiencing the art of “People-Watching”; subtitled Talking Mad Shit About Strangers. Magical.

After a long day of shopping or a night spent battling The Spins, the easiest way to enjoy the benefits of People-Watching is to go for visuals. Talking Mad Shit about someone’s fanny pack is simpler than any other People-Watching tactic, such as Eavesdropping, doing The Foreign Film (watching two people from afar and dubbing in conversation), or watching out from behind a mirrored window (nose-pickers, pimple-poppers, women checking out their own asses). The following Fashion Faux Pas’s’ (?) are a few of my favorites to point out to a friend.

"Look at this great sweatshirt I bought on Ebay. I'm so unique!"

Disney sweatshirts in cities. I don’t care if it’s a tad chilly out and you forgot to pack your North Face fleece that you got on sale at Bob’s — Disney sweatshirts are never okay. If a bird shit on all your other clothes and there are no more Cheers Boston hoodies left in the entire city, at least consider carrying a gimp keychain and strapping a portable CD player to your hip to fool passersby into thinking that you’re attending a 90s Party.

Louis Vuitton Handbags. You’re wearing a tattoo-print baby tee and jewel-encrusted jeans. That giant LV-print handbag MUST be real.

Uggs. Self-explanatory.

"Aasics are cool again."

Sneakers with suits. For some reason all women who ride public transportation met by candlelight in a hidden chamber and agreed that it is socially acceptable to take off their heels and ride the train home in massive white Keds. The humor gradient lightens a tad when the athletic footwear is more stylish or less boat-like, however the sneaker-suit combo is still fug. Why not substitute heels for a pair of ballet flats? Why not go barefoot? Why god, why?

White sunglasses. You look like a tool.

Tight Shirts. You didn’t just shop in the boy’s section of abercrombie to save money. Rather, you want us girls to see your remotely toned physique. Put on some white sunglasses while you’re at it to complete the look.

I was away from the flex community for long time. I had came to know about Pune FUG meet from local news paper. I realize that, event will be good opportunity to linkup with the community again. I met all my old friends Anand, Sagar and Himanshu and many more at the Meet. I made few new friends as well like Harish and Priyank.

I enjoyed the Serge’s session . It always a pleasure for us to realize such expert live.
