Now then, I’ve gone a bit technical with this card         I’ve used one of the gorgeous new digital images from Sugar Nellie…Webb Knitter.  I’m not computer savvy at all…(as my very helpful, and talented friend Janneke will tell you!), so the thought of printing out images was a bit daunting…not to mention the possibility of having to buy a new printer that’s compatible with Copic Markers!  So, I enlisted the help of my son…resized the image and printed…I then photocopied the image so that I wouldn’t have any ink issues whilst colouring.  It all worked perfectly and I’m now looking forward to tying out a few more of the digital images from Funky Kits…though I’m definitely still, and always will be, a rubber stamp girl…bring on the black ink pad!!!!!!!!

I had so much fun colouring this gorgeous Sugar Nellie image called Bubbles .  I really enjoyed colouring her body…huge areas to colour on her chubby arms, legs and of course, her cute face…it was nice to be able to use lots of different skin tone copics…I find some images hardly have any areas to colour…this was just perfect

I’ve used one of the new stamps by Sugar Nellie…she’s called Raven.  I thought she was pretty apt for the arctic weather we’ve got in England at the moment…very sensibly dressed for the snow and ice!  You can see all the new stamps for December  —> here <—   Funky Kits are now selling digital images and currently have a January Sale going on

Here is my project for this week. I made a small (4″x4″) Christmas giftbox, which should be perfect to hold some choccies or handmade notelets for a friend, or for your child’s teacher.

I’ve used one of the lovely Christmas Magna stamps from Sugar Nellie, and the sentiment stamp is by Stampin’ Up. The papers are by DCWV, and the base of the box is made with red Bazzill cardstock.

Promarker Colouring recipe:

Skin: Ivory, Pale Peach, Blush.

Hair: Vanilla, Raw Sienna, Sandstone.

Clothes and Baubles: Red, Poppy, Ivory, Sandstone, Cool Aqua, Sky, Pear Green, Marsh Green.

Over at the Willow Sketchie Challenge on the Craftbubble forum the twist this week was monochrome with a dash of colour.

Here’s the sketch:

Although I have stacks of patterned papers I don’t seem to own any black and white ones.Fortunately I’d spotted these lovely florals at Canon Creative Park a while back and thought  I’ll have to play with them sometime.Well now I  got the chance.

As they are positive and negative images of the same design I cut an apeture,using Nestabilities,out of the darker one then positioned the lighter one behind.The centers of the flowers have been accented with Maroon Promarker.The stamped image by Sugar Nellie from Funky Kits has been shaded with pens from the Cool Grey range,1,3 and 5,with small amounts of Black for extra depth.The bow,buttons and tights are coloured in Maroon and Mulberry.They are showing more purple in the photo but in IRL they match the Core’dinations card better (more like the flower middles).The skin is a mix of Ivory and Blush and highlights are added with white gel pen.Even though she’s sitting on a ledge on the stamp I decided to carefully cut some slits so that the ribbon could be extended from the tag to the image.The sentiment comes fromPersonal Impressions Cute Characters set 2.

Hallo und eine tolle neue Woche wünsche ich euch allen . Wir haben  diese Woche bei Stamp With Fun, Ute85 als  Gast Designer  mit einen tollen Sketch von ihr .

Für meine Karte habe ich das süße Gorjess Girl von Funky Kits gewählt. Das Papier ist wieder von My Mind´s Eye. Das Wort Joy habe ich mit meinen Slice(Card Fa-la-la( Create4Fun))geschnitten und koloriert habe ich wieder mit Polychromos Buntstiften.

Hi, today’s card is made with Marlene’s sketch over at The Sugar Bowl…loved it Marlene…thanks   There’s an option of using the colour combination pink and brown to be in with a chance of  winning the six new stamps designed by Mary Hall.  I received my first DT package from Karen – Sugar Nellie on Saturday and this gorgeous image is from the autumn 2009 kit.  I’ve also made some cards with the new Manga Christmas stamps…I’ll  be posting them over the next few days    You’ll be happy to hear  that the Manga Christmas stamps have gone on sale at Funky Kits

This weeks Willow Sketchie Challenge at Craftbubble was to create anything but a card!And to use Pumpkin Promarker pen.

My first reaction was of dismay.The idea was to take you out of your comfort zone.It certainly did that!

There were some pretty spectacular entries from other group members.

Although mine still looks like a card this is what is inside:

It’s actually a reading record.I was pretty pleased with myself for creating the table on the computer without the aid of a safety net!More can be added too.

As you can see the bar from the front of the card is a removable bookmark.

First outing for Manga Boy from Funky Kits.Isn’t he an endearing little fella.He reminds me of DS2 who the record is intended for.He loves books!

The papers are Basic Grey Archiac as is the quote sticker on the narrow bar.Orange brads are Making Memories.The button is made from Funky Foam embossed Mesh Cuttlebug and copper Metalic Rub-on wax applied to give a faux leather effect.A piece of my favourite hairy string to complete.

Wow – She’s enormous !!!! I really love using these funky colours for Christmas cards…something a bit different from the normal !!!!

Well I always have the Sugar Nellie Blog as one of my tabs on “tinternet” and today Karen asked to see Chrsitmas cards using Sugar Nellie stamps…well I only have one that is vaguely Christmassy and I wasn’t “feeling the vibe” to use it so decided to festive up one of the Manga Chicks….I also attempted a tri-fold card using one of the tutorials on Split Coast Stampers…here is my card, I hope you like…

I just love the colour combination of the Lime and Orange. I have used Doodlebug Papers and the fabulous Manga stamp from Funky Kits.  I have coloured it in using my Prisma Colour pencils and was very unsure as to how to colour them as they are not your cutesy kind of stamps. I love the sketch and will be keeping it for future use..Here is a close up of her

I have used the new Manga stamp from Funky Kits which I adore. I have coloured her using my Prisma Color Pencils. The papers are Flip Flop from the paper loft.  I have used loads of pearls, prima flowers, ribbon and my Martha Stewart punch ( Lace Doily). The Message was done on the computer…here is a close up..

Here is a card I put together following a sketch from one of the challenge sites..unfortunately I got sidetracked and not only did I not get it uploaded in time, but I forgot which site it came from….DOH

I love the paper range which is Playful Petals from Daisy Bucket Designs, I used ribbon and heart headed pins from stash, pearls from Basic Grey,  and three swarovski bi-cones on the end of each pin which really finishes them off and add’s that all important sparkle.

I have used one of the Gorguss Girls Stamps from www.funkykits.co.uk and I have coloured the image with my wonderful Prisma Color Pencils…thanks for stopping by x

This week’s challenge colours are Lime and Rose Pink, chosen by Ida, and I have to say that this is one of my particular favourite combinations. We are very lucky to be sponsored by Papirloftet this week, and here is a picture of the splendid prize they have for the winner.

My card is made with some wonderful goodies that Papirloftet kindly gave to all the design team members.  The image is by Elisabeth Bell, and is available from Funky Kits, and I have coloured her with Promarkers, of course!  The colouring recipe can be found below the card.

I think Gill’s sketch is great…so simple but open to so many possibilities.

I have used the new Basic Grey Lemondade 6 x 6 papers and a few prima flowers, the pearls are also Basic Grey. I have used the Gorguss Girl stamp and Puss from Funky Kits and the “Ric-Rac” is from stash… I hope Mary get’s well soon x

The third challenge at Passion for Promarkers is to use the colours chosen by Denise, Cinnamon and Pumpkin, to colour the image on your card. The prize for this week is a £10 voucher donated by Hotshot Craft.

I have used another of the delightful Gorjuss Girls on my card, and she is available from Funky Kits.  The papers used are by Daisy Bucket, and the cardstock (Close to Cocoa) is by Stampin’ Up, and Bazill Bling.  The flowers, ribbon and brads are from my stash.

Here is the promarker recipe for my colouring:

Skin:  Ivory, Blush and Pastel Pink.

Hair:  Cinnamon, Cocoa, and Umber.

Coat, hat and boots:  Cinnamon and Pumpkin, shaded with Cocoa, and Apricot.

Dress: Lime with Pumpkin trim.

Fox:  Pumpkin, Apricot and Ivory, with Satin for the tip of his tail.
