I really like this QuickPress blog feature, as it makes it real neat to quick throw a blog say, right in between two boring conferences (where you can write about how boring the past conference was!), and under the Tags, you need to place commas instead of enter.

Ecco, io qui voglio elencare le dolci motivazioni che mi portano ad addurre il fatto che, il caro animale quadrupede suino, altresì detto comunemente Maiale, sia per me la bestia che più si avvicina alla perfezione divina.

Mi soffermerò poco sulla grande catena di distribuzione e sugli allevamenti intensivi, che non fanno altro che degradare l’animale divino, rendendolo più simile all’uomo che a se stesso.
Mi voglio invece dedicare a quelle piccole perle di saggezza che ancora ci sono in giro per il mondo, e che allevano con cura e amore questa siffatta bestiola. Iin particolar modo mi voglio dedicare agli abili norcini che rendono ancor più divino questo,e qui ci stà una ripetizione, divino animale.
Sì, perchè solo tra le abili mani dei norcini, che ancora macellano e lavorano le carni e il resto di questo animale dalla rosea pelle, esso assume la perfezione più assoluta. PErchè per i norcini è una missione, non un lavoro, essi scelgono con cura le bestie, solo quelle allevate meglio diventeranno opere dal gusto raffinato.
Salsiccie, prosciutti, bistecche pancetta… quante bontà sgorgano da questa bestia che il nostro signore ci ha voluto donare.

Riflettiamo sulle banalità che sempre si ascoltano ma che, come ogni banalità, altre non sono che semplici e quindi formidabili verità.
Del maiale,tutti sanno, non si butta via nulla, la carne si mangia, il sangue si fa dolce, il pelo pennello ecc…s olo per questo andrebbe esaltato in mille maniere.

Il maiale è, inoltre, economico da nutrire. Qualcuno potrebbe avere da ridire, ma ragioniamo.
Se invece di dargli pastoni comprati, e dilapidare così capitali, per ottenere un animale dalle carni mediocri, pieno solo di grasso e di chissà quali intrugli chimici noti per il loro potere di annientare le cellule di chiunque ne venga in contatto, pensate, a chi lo lascia placidamente grufolare in un bosco, libero di cibarsi delle più pregiate ghiande, e quando il freddo incalza gli butta i propri scarti. Si sà che il maiale è onnivoro e mangia tutto, ben lo sapevano pure i mafiosi quando gli davano in pasto le loro vittime per farne sparire il corpo.
Ah! Pensate allora, a che meraviglia del signore potrete avere davanti, a che carni deliziose con il prelibato grasso che, messo su una buona brace fatta di ottimo legno diventi croccante e delicato e, una volta a contatto con la saliva si sciolga in un crogiuolo di delizie elevando così noi poveri esseri di dubbia intelligenza al massimo livello di illuminazione divina.
Potremmo anche parlare della scrofa che intelligentemente mette alla luce una quantita di piccoli atta a pensare che sappia già come stanno le cose al mondo. Alcuni verranno egreggiamente portati su tavole imbandite quando ancora sono maialini da latte (i sardi in questo sono veri maestri!), altri verranno tenuti per diventare grandi e creare le massime opere dell’arte culinaria. Poi ovviamente alcune saranno femmine e diventeranno altre procreatrici di altri divini maiali e uno verrà tenuto come verro per la riproduzione e quindi farà la vita del maiale gaudente(o godente?).

Potrei andare avanti per ore ma mi limito a questo dicendo inoltre a coloro che sono vegetariani: anche io quando ero giovine lo sono stata, per anni e anni(10 per l’esattezza) ho snobbato qualsivoglia tipo di carne e di nutrimento animale, perchè sostenevo che gli allevamenti intensivi,la macellazione indiscriminata portasse alla morte spirituale nostra e alla degradazione di ogni essere vivente nonchè all’inquinamento della nostra madre terra. Ancora sostengo questa tesi, e ancora sono convinta di ciò, ma quando entrai nel tempio dei norcini e vidi, ma soprattutto potei annusare quella meraviglia di odori,e potei ascoltare la filosofia di chi di questo mestiere fa un’arte sublime scegliendo, allevando amando questa sacra bestia, ecco lì allora le mie remore sono cadute lasciando il posto ad una filosofia che si avvicina quasi più a una religione.
Quindi ora io dopo aver parlato a lungo, alzo le braccia al cielo e grido la mia (L’)ode al Maiale!

We’ve all heard about how stress can affect your ability to perform in bed. The psychological impact on a person’s libido when they’re subjected to large and sustained amounts of stress can be very detrimental. However, the damage doesn’t just remain psychological if the stress isn’t dealt with and removed from the equation.

The damage manifests physically.

Now, I’m no expert like Alexa and I’m not going to start giving advice like Shay. I’m just trying to relay what’s going on in my life and hopefully it can serve as a warning to others. It’s well documented what effect stress will have on your PC muscle, regardless of how well-toned it is. Guys, you may have been able to hold it in forever, but add on some serious stress and all those hours doing kegal exercises won’t amount to a thing. Keep the stress going, and you might not be able to keep yourself erect at all.

I’ve been dealing with quite a bit of stress and for quite a while. S might not be willing to admit to me that there’s a big problem, but there is. I should know. I know how I used to be able to perform when things were a little less troubling and I know how I’m performing now. It’s not the same. I used to be able to go longer, hold it easier, get hard instantly and stay that way for as long as I wanted. It’s not age, I’m a few months shy of 27.

The odd thing is that my libido hasn’t calmed at all. I still want sex just as much as I always have, but when the opportunity does arise it’s as if I’m separated from the faculties that I could normally call upon instinctively. It’s a sensation that I’d call more disturbing than odd. I can understand why men suffering from such debilitating forces might keep quiet about it. The ramifications can be embarrassing to say the least.

If I let this go any further, I worry about the damage becoming permanent. If the mind affects the body for so long, after a while the body won’t be able to heal, even if the mind can.

As I’ve said before, I’m seeking professional help. S has been amazingly supportive through this, as have friends and family, both IRL and through the series of tubes (you know who you all are, and I love you more than you know). I urge anyone who has  noticed performance issues in themselves or their partners to please consider stress as a real factor and one that can and must be remedied as soon as possible.

I want to hear if any of my readers have had these issues. Male or female. Feel free to write as much as you want, even double-post if necessary. If you have a blog and cover this issue there, please leave a link in my comments.

OK … Now we have received a looooot of suggestions on how we should continue this game design.

Some of the most important ones include us stopping the implementation we are doing with DirectX and the DigiPen university documents and start working with real game engines and frameworks..

including using slimDirectX or XnA for Microsoft. Maybe even OpenGL & C++ for playstation and wii.

But I think we will decide how to continue because each way has its advantages over the others

like if we continue with the normal DirectX then we are mostly learning the language C#, which is a good idea because since we are mostly thinking of designing for the Xbox 360 & it is implemented using visual studios, it will provide us with a strong programming background. Although using XnA immediately will make us work on “VIDEO GAME DESIGN”. We still have other options, but we will talk about our path later
