Okay, so Nightmare’s at it’s finale, and it’s kick-ass beyond words. So amazing, words can’t describe. Nightmare was truly one of the best EI’s ever, considering it evolved through only a few stages. It would’ve been interesting to watch it go further, though. Hidden Ace also looks amazing as always. You have to love those little sprites, they’re adorable.

And, the plot ended! S.I.N. won! Woot. I was always supporing S.I.N but I joined the Overseer on a mis-click. So everyone behind the Sentinel got to keep their skin, and the clams… Well, out skin is really underground now. You’ll see what I mean in good time.

Now to mention Shop Updates! They’ve finally given legwarmers in more colors, and very cute patterns at that. Coats and hats are in, also a superb job. You also have to love the new accessories and skirts, which come in almost every color of the rainbow. I’m still not too fond of the new glasses, though. Just something about tinted shades…

Hi again~! Now, before I continue with this section, I want to take everyone to a trip down memory lane. Now, when GaiaOnline first started, it was known as GoGaia, and everything then was peachy keen. The plans for zOMG  were the usual 4-way path of warrior, thief, mage, and archer. The mages would have magical rings that released certain powers, and that’s when the whole plan was thrown away for the rings themselves. But that’s a different story. So, a few years passed, and GoGaia became GaiaOnline.

Everything was amazing, Monthly Collectibles were introduced, it was the start of Kiki Kitty and Golden Laurels, everything was awesome. Plus, the plot was ever-changing and exciting. But Gaia then decided they weren’t making enough money. So they introduced the Cash Shop and Gaia Cash, and it all went down-hill from there. The plot was left untouched, GaiaTowns gathered dust, and the old players were extremely upset. We asked them, nay, demanded updates to Towns, the Gold Shops, the plot, and Rally.

So they updated Rally, with GaiaCash. The oldies got SUPER mad. So what were they to do? Answer: PLOT TWIST.

After years and years, the plot has finally been updated! Well, it’s going to be! We can join forces with the good side and  the bad side for some epic battle that’s soon to come! I’m guessing items are going to come with this, so make a mule along with your main account so you can take both sides of the items.

Hey everyone~! Excellent news today.

Bad Moon is evolving, with some spirit poses. Hidden Ace is now featuring some…large hands, and some card sprites~ They’re so cute. A little too cute, actually. >.> The Nitemare is also evolving, and it’s especially creepy this time. Reve Rouille is ALSO evolving, featuring some cool poses in the red-black-gold style it’s become known for.

4  in a week. Wow.

The Monthly Collectible have also opened, revealing Will-O-th’-Wisp and Golden Fleece. They really compliment each other, the golden sheep items and the blue, ghostly colors.

Oh, but it continues. October’s Monthly stuff are hitting the Cash Shop, with Jack’s Plush, Fall of the Morning Star, and Queen Anne’s Lace.

Can you imagine all the announcements that were sent on that day? That’s 4 Announcements. Actually, 6 but I’ll discuss the other 2 later today.

Logo que encontrei os vídeos experimentei da paixão platônica … A paixão platônica teoricamente é uma paixão praticamente impossível … Mas que todos nós sentimos por algum artista ou algo assim … Tipo sei lá só achei ela muito louca … Ela é toda estérica … Tipo parece aquelas crianças que tomam Red Bull e ficam ligadas no 380 V….

Mas chega de paixão platônica … Vamos aos fatos …. Quem é Boxxy … ??? Boxxy é uma garota comum de cerca de 16 anos de idade que jogava Gaia Online até que certo dia um de seus amigos  intitulado no jogo como Ant pediu pra que ela fizesse um vídeo para ele no Youtube … Ela fez o vídeo com seu jeito único e estérico … Um outro amigo de jogo gostou e pediu que ela fizesse um vídeo para ele também … Enfim os dois vídeos caíram nos domínios de um fórum famoso por divulgar e popularizar diversos virais da internet  …. E com isso transformou a Boxxy em um viral do dia pra noite fazendo até com que ela fizesse mais um vídeo direcionado especificamente para o fórum…. E como foi dito pelos administradores, Boxxy se tornou como um câncer para o fórum … Milhares de pessoas abriam tópicos sobre como amavam a Boxxy e que iriam se casar com ela … Então o fórum resolveu banir qualquer um que falasse sobre a Boxxy … Além disso uma equipe anônima organizada hackeou a conta da Boxxy no Youtube tirando seus vídeos do ar e deixando um vídeo no lugar com uma mensagem pra que ela parasse de fazer vídeos … Misteriosamente na mesma noite sua conta voltou ao normal mas ela nunca mais deu as caras em outro vídeo … Não só em vídeos mas Boxxy sumiu do mapa … Ela teve a vida muito falada, comentada e aberta na internet, pelos seus admiradores. Isso não foi muito bom, sua privacidade foi tomada por desconhecidos. Esse deve ter sido outro motivo pela sua sumida … Mas alguns fãs não deixaram de amá-la …

Um grupo com 14 anônimos se encontraram no Robert Doyle Park, na cidade de  Roseville, na Califórnia. Eles visitaram sua suposta casa no número 8032, na Halseworth Drive, tocaram a campainha, mas ninguém respondeu. Depois disso eles visitaram a casa real da Boxxy (endereço desconhecido). Eles tocaram a campainha, mas ninguém respondeu. Então eles formaram a palavra Anon (abreviação de Anônimo em inglês) com pétalas de flores.
Sabe-se que essa era a casa real da Boxxy, pois alguns objetos nela, tinham fotos da Boxxy…

Enfim… Esse foi o fim da Boxxy e do seu legado de vídeos virais … Onde ela está ??? Como ela está ??? Eu sinceramente não sei …. Mas que ela é bonita demais ahh isso sim ela é …

Hi My Name Is Boxxy…

Some days ago, before my exams, I got back on Gaia online. Now, after the exams, I spend my time drawing chibis for other people and earning pixel gold to buy pixel clothes. I feel so productive.

Anyway here are some chibis that I have done, and each take quite some time to draw.

That’s not all the chibis I have done for Gaia actually, I have many more of another style, but that style isn’t as polished this one!

I plan on opening a new shop there to explore another style soon~

Whoo! At Last! I have the fliers that are designed and ready to be printed tomorrow morning to go be handed out at DSC and other schools. I’ve got a busy day tomorrow but this means that I can sit back and spend the rest of today watching Anime and Playing GaiaOnline’s zOMG MMORPG.

Best in-browser Casual MMORPG ever. Play a little or play a lot, it’s easy on the mind even when your mind is mush. Even though the Beta version has only been out for a year, it has already changed and improved so much since I first tested it in Closed Beta a year ago (I tell ya, it lag was evil back then). Rumor has it that they are going to start opening up new “World” areas over the next few months and release the 1.0 Version.

Well, I’m off to be lazy some more until tomorrow. Rock on everyone!

XD This week is cramming week for everybody in my batch, since our end of year tests are all next week. I’ve been busy too, although I daresay I haven’t been spending my time very efficiently yet.

I dedicate the mornings for all 5 days for math, then I do various subjects in the afternoon. The problem is that after I turn on the computer for lunch  time I tend to get stuck there for very long, and no I can’t not turn it on grr.

Actually I’ve been spending a lot of time on Gaiaonline, filling out commissions, chatting and stuff. It is seriously wasting my time but I can’t stop! D:

I just played this super cool online game called Gaia. It’s got profiles, journals, and uber cool avatars! I just joined 2 days ago and today, I’ve got comments on my (super suckish, may I remind you) profile. I post on the forums of course! May I also remind you that my house and car sucks. Well, gotta earn some gold if I want my avatar (which is the only one I can customize since I’m on Ubuntu, and Windows is a nightmare) to look smoof *shot*

GaiaOnline.. Does it ring a bell? Well, in my opinion, alongside Facebook, Myspace, and whatever social networking site you can think of, it’s one of the coolest and is a fun way to meet new friends. And, here, you could actually customize your own avatar!! Cosplay, dress the way you actually dress, and a whole lot more. You just have to let your imagination go wild! =D

In Gaia, you earn gold to buy items for your avatar or for your home. And you can earn gold by playing the mini games, posting in forums, posting comments, rating, or just by merely browsing the web. Isn’t that cool? And, to add to that, they give away pretty cool items once in a while when there are certain events.

Duh, duh, duh, DUH!!!

Anime on your iPhone/iPod Touch?  It doesn’t get easier than Castle of Magic, a Super Mario Brothers style obstacle course game.  You are a cute, blonde elf with a cape that lets you parachute up and down the forest and medieval castle challenges, over which you run, skip and acquire gems and coins.  You look like you stepped out of a Japanese anime movie.  You are occasionally accosted by trolls but you can skip or fly over them.  Many different levels, puzzles, and challenges.  Cute beeps and boops sounds.

To be honest, I like it but don’t love it.  The blue and gold colors don’t naturally appeal to me.  Further, I don’t love anime, the Japanese cartoon style found everywhere from Gaia Online to Saturday morning cartoons.  You know it’s anime by looking at the large, doe-like eyes and brassy colors.

Rolando and Rolando 2 feel more modern, with their rich colors, proto-3-D stylings, and motion detection (or acceleromator) features.  Moreover, Castle of Magic, though slick and satisfying on the iPhone/iPod Touch, doesn’t use motion-detection and finger flicking in original, fun ways.

However, casual gamers who enjoy classic graphics and themes will probably love Castle of Magic.  Gaia Online fans, folks who love Japanese anime or cartoons, might also love Castle of Magic.  It’s a well-executed, easy game with lots of levels.  Thumbs up.

Gaia Online

I’m getting loads of views by having Gaia Online mentioned so I thought i’d do a bit of research as to why people are searching such a broad term rather than a specfic part of the game. Was originally called Go-Gaia.com in 2003 but the changed to GaiaOnline in 2004. It’s quite hard to say what exactly the website is, its a mish-mash of social gaming but with insane forum activity (Million posts per day), with 7 Million unique visitors each month.

Why I decided to quit Gaia. The tl;dr answer is that I am sick of it, its lost all the fun it once had. The details of it are something that’s arguable, depending on what you see Gaia as now, and what you remember it being. I’m sure that my thoughts are going to offend some of you, but these are things that need to be said.

I am going to try my hardest to make this a SF worthy post.

1.) The user base of the site has gone down hill. The targeting of MySpace and Facebook users has led to a userbase of people who don’t read the rules, spam, scam, beg, bot and text talk. Its hard for me to find a discussion there that isn’t half brain dead, unless of course its a SF reg thread. The sad thing about it is that my Gaia life consists of complaining and saying no to moar gold and gold to GC treads.

Gaia, you should be concentrating on finding worth while users, ones who aren’t going to break the rules and spam like there is no tomorrow. You should be looking at what appeals users to go to the 50 other avatar sites, the ones who don’t have a spam box and promote actual conversation. These sites, are where your users are going…

You also need to gain control over the GD and not bend the rules because you no longer wish to deal with it. Yes, it is a compromise, but at the same time you are only showing them they they don’t need to follow the rules.

Just the like, you cannot leave it up to the users to take an active interest in reading the TOS and the Rules of the site and forums. You need to include these things in the new user quest, it will lead to better informed LONG TERM USERS.

Further more the addition of the 18+ forum would probably peak my interest in Gaia. I think this addition is a step in the right direction in helping the site grow with an aging userbase.

2.) You’ve sucked the fun out of my avatar. Thanks for that, really. It was the only thing I kept coming back for. I loved buying things for my avatar, but I do not love your RIG. When I asked for things I want to spend my money on I was told by dev’s and users that it wouldn’t happen because you wouldn’t make as much money. Consequently, this means my opinion and wishes mean nothing unless its making you money.

I don’t even know what to say about this. Gaia is a business and needs to make money, even needs to make profit, but really guys when you are discounting users wishes just to make money it’s bad. Do you really care about your users any more, or really has it just become about the money?

At one point, I defended your actions even when you made stupid decisions. I feel like you have made me a liar and on top of that you have taken advantage of my willingness to help you out.

You are not giving your users a choice. It is buy this RIG or the cash shop items that have been in there for a better part of a year (with the exception of a few). Where is the choice in that? There is none. Period. Its if you want new items you HAVE to buy these RIGs. What about those who don’t like the RIGs? Oh, I get it now, fuck us; we aren’t giving you ENOUGH money.

You can’t tell me that this isn’t correct. Its been stated by DEVELOPERS, moderators and users alike.

I wanted to spend money on this site, but as a CUSTOMER (since we aren’t donating any longer, as you have stated) I feel I should have a choice, not buy this because its all you get. It is bad business and bad customer service, I don’t care what Mr. Business Degree says.

My feedback on this is making money is good, but making money at the expense of your users happiness will only lead to ruin. Even if something doesn’t make as much money as you want it to does not mean that it is something that should not happen.

With out your users and their money, where would you be, Gaia?

3.) Appreciation for what the users of this site do for you, more specifically your moderators. I rarely if EVER see a administrator or a developer stand up for the mods, it irks me. They do what they do for free and take crap from BOTH sides. They are the ones doing all the crap that you don’t want to deal with or PAY some one to deal with. You should show your appreciation a little more.

4.) The community. Ah, I miss that feeling, but it sailed away long ago. I left you for a year, thinking I was just burn out and tired and came back to find the same emptiness and let downs that where there plus some. The community, which was once the soul of the site has been replaced with pay for items and flash games, things that take little to no participation in the forums.

The gold grant tweaks were a good start, but so far all they have led to is complaining and spam.

As stated above the addition of the 18+ would make me a little happier and feel like I belong there again.

Most of the developers on the site I adore, however, there are some that make you look terrible and say things that make the users feel insignificant. These are things that should not be happening and should no be tolerated by the administration, and steps need to be taken to correct these actions.

5.) Item outsourcing? Seriously, at first impression I thought this was just strictly sponsor items, but after watching the video I see that it was used for the Celebrity Snare, which judging by the lack of updates was less than successful. These things make me feel like you have really lost touch with your users interests and I think you need to spend a little more time with in your community and listen to what the people in the SF are asking for (well beyond items, mind you).

This place and from what I understand other places make items at a low cost for sites like Gaia. What I really have trouble wrapping my head around is why it hasn’t been utilized for creating items you have designed for the cash shop.

I degress, much of this is rudimentry feedback. Things I wish you would have done, and think you should still do.

Gaia Online is the most fun social/gaming website, it’s better than Facebook, Myspace and (Twitter) put together! I’ll add the following reasons of why I think this…

#1 They have message boards, where you can discuss more than just what you are doing OR eating.

2#They have a MMORPG game zOMG!

#3 You can also build your own profile!

#4 Instead of an avatar you can create a miniture version of you!

For me those are wonderful reasons of why Gaia Online is the best social hangout on the Net!

On a less happy and more annoyed note…

The drama in the SF continues about the stupid surveys. No they aren’t perfect, but hell I got 1600 GC out of it and I really don’t want to see it go any where. Trolling and bad parenting seem to be the big nay sayers.

There was also a dev that was “hacked” and the whole SF responded in a fit of complete and utter paranoia and fear mongering. Leaving me lurking and miserable while waiting for the EI report. -sigh- Some people just need to get a hobby.

There have been a lot of people stating that they have not gotten their cash for completing the conditions of the offer. I have had some problems as well, however, quite a few of them have been resolved. Here are some steps to take that will hopefully help you to get your cash:

1. If you aren’t given cas after about 24 hours click on the “problem?” button. DO NOT bitch in the SF/Q&A, it isn’t Gaias fault and they cannot fix it.

2. Take screenshots of every final page that you reach and submit them with your reports. I have only submitted FULL SCREEN shots so they can verify that the time is around the same time as their records show.

3. This was a statement from JP, one of the Admin of GetGambit.
