O galã do momento Robert Pattinson que interpreta o personagem Edward Cullen na saga Crepúsculo, declarou não ter gostado de seu personagem após ler o livro pela primeira vez.

Pattinson disse à revista In Touch que a primeira vez que leu o enredo, teve a impressão de que seu personagem era ridículo e que foi muito difícil para ele, nos ensaios, levá-lo a sério.

- Eu li o primeiro livro e o achei bom. Mas, a descrição de meu personagem, desde o começo, é completamente ridícula

O astro também afirmou não ter se surpreendido ao ver duas vezes, os dois filmes da saga, que traz o romance entre um vampiro e uma mortal.

“Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin (Justitie) stelt een onderzoek in naar het afluisteren en opnemen van telefoongesprekken. Hij komt daarmee tegemoet aan de wens van een meerderheid in de Tweede Kamer, die vandaag opheldering vroeg over het hoge aantal taps. De eerste helft van dit jaar werden er 13.223 telefoons afgetapt. Gemiddeld liepen er dagelijks 2254 taps. Dat is veel meer dan in buurlanden van Nederland.” (NRC.NL)

Een goede zaak! Nu nog zien of het onderzoek daadwerkelijk iets oplevert en of de media aandacht er naar toe blijft gaan. Het verdwijnt anders zo snel in de doofpot, net als veel andere dingen. Gisteravond was er overigens een interessant onderwerp bij ‘De wereld draait door’. Het ging over een sticker, een protest tegen de rekeningrij plannen van Eurlings, die de Telegraaf bij de krant had uitgegeven. Ik weet de details van het voorval niet, maar het was boeiend om de discussie over de onafhankelijkheid en objectiviteit van de media weer eens opgelaaid te zien.

Vandaag weer hard aan de slag voor D66. Nog maar een paar weken en dan zit mijn stage er helaas op. Toch is meer vrije tijd in combinatie met mijn studie wel erg goed, want zo dubbel praktisch fulltime bezig zijn houd je niet lang vol. Ach, ik ken mezelf. Ik verzin vervolgens wel een ander project. Ik voel me nog steeds niet helemaal honderd procent. Ken je het gevoel dat je extreem vatbaar bent voor griep? Dat sluimerende gevoel dat je weet dat het niet helemaal snor zit.. en dat je lichaam het virus gewoon negeert… Nou, ik mag maar zorgen dat ik genoeg slaap krijg want ik heb veel te doen (vannacht overigens heerlijk lang geslapen!)

Vanavond heb ik een gala van SIB. Ik ben nog steeds lid van SIB-Utrecht en ieder jaar wordt er een gala georganiseerd door één SIB vereniging ergens in Nederland. Dit jaar in Leiden en voor mij komt dat heel goed uit! Morgen studeren en naar mijn ouders toe. ‘S avonds Awakenings in Amsterdam! Mijn nieuwe doel is dus-> maandag zo fris, fruitig en actief zijn dat niemand door heeft dat ik dit weekend leef op een strict regime van studeren,vrienden, familie, feestjes en dansen..

ANTENA DE ORO:  esta gala se celebra hacia finales de septiembre desde hace 37 años, donde reune a más de 300 personalidades de la comunicación.

PREMIO ONDAS:  Desde hace 56 años, los premios Onda entregan en el mes de noviembre un total de 23 galardones a profesionales de la televisión, radio y música. La gala está presentada por reconocidos profesionales y se caracteriza por tener un carácter más humorístico que el de otros eventos del estilo.

PREMIOS TP DE ORO: evento donde se entrega un galardón otorgado anualmente por la revista Teleprograma (TP) mediante votación de sus lectores, que distinguen la labor en distintos ámbitos de la televisión en España. Es, quizás, el único dirigido exclusivamente al ámbito televisivo, sin abarcar también el mundo de la radio o de la música. Comenzó en abril de 1972, por lo que ya es todo un clásico en los premios de televisión.

PREMIOS UNIÓN DE ACTORES: La Unión de Actores es el sindicato que agrupa a la mayoría del conjunto de actores de cine, teatro y televisión en España. En la actualidad cuenta con aproximadamente 2630 afiliados.  El origen de la creación de este grupo es curiosa: en 1986 el gabinete de ministros del gobierno del PSOE presidido por Felipe González pretende aprobar un decreto que declara que el actor lo es por cuenta propia. en 1987 El conjunto de intérpretes del país se moviliza en contra de este proyecto y en el mes de junio firman el acta notorial por el cual nace el sindicato. Otro de los objetivos de la Unión de Actores es promocionar aquellos trabajos que en su opinión merecen ser destacados, por eso crearon este acto de entrega de premios en 1991. Para ello, se crean los Premios de la Unión de Actores, que reconocen los mejores trabajos interpretativos en cada uno de esos tres ámbitos. En sus inicios el número de candidaturas es limitado, aunque con el paso de los años, el número de categorías ha aumentado. —What’s the hottest ticket in the nation’s capital? An engraved invitation to Tuesday’s White House state dinner, the first hosted by President Obama.

He and the first lady will honor India’s prime minister. But in a departure from the traditional venue — the elegant State Dining Room — the Obama’s will gather with a few hundred VIPs in a huge, heated tent on the South Lawn.

Glamor and Grace

The guest list for the black-tie gala remains a closely guarded secret. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, will certainly be there.

Several notables are good bets, such as Oprah Winfrey and Chicago hotel billionaire Penny Pritzker, as are top Obama aides David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett and Rahm Emanuel.

Tonight's Menu and Desert

Dee Dee Myers, who served as President Clinton’s press secretary, said the lobbying by people seeking an invite had probably been relentless. The first [state dinner] is always the most dramatic,” Myers said. “First impressions are important. That’s your A list, that’s your top game right there. By the time you get to the eighth state dinner, it’ll be a lot less important.”

The gargantuan tent affords a bigger crowd than could fit in the State Dining Room, which holds 140.

State dinners generally draw administration officials and members of Congress, the Cabinet and the diplomatic corps. Obama donors and corporate titans, Hollywood glamour, athletic greats and leading artists are bound to be thrown into the mix, possibly joined by some academics and journalists.

And the morning after, hotheads left off the list are bound to let off steam.

“There’s always a few angry calls,” Myers said, “because people read the guest list” in the morning papers.

But until the dinner takes place, the heat is on, perhaps for no two people more than Desiree Rogers, the White House social secretary, and Cristeta Comerford, the White House’s top chef.

Myers was a guest at a few state dinners put on by Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is another guaranteed attendee Tuesday. As Secretary of State, she hand-delivered the invitation to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in July.

Tented parties for state dinners aren’t entirely new. In President Clinton’s final year in office, he had about 700 guests under a tent for an earlier Indian prime minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee.

Jennifer Hudson to Perform Tonight

Oscar Winner Jennifer Hudson will perform at the Obama administration's first state dinner Tuesday.

Hudson, a Chicago native who performed at the Democratic National Convention in August 2008, will perform for 320 guests at the black tie affair.

The Obamas have had several soul singers perform at the White House. For the Governor’s Dinner, they drew on their Chicago connection and had funk band Earth, Wind and Fire perform for guests.

Hudson suffered a major family tragedy in 2008 when her mother, brother and nephew were killed. Obama, who was campaigning at the time, sent condolences to Hudson.

Hudson got her start as a contestant on American Idol and has been a winner at the Oscars and Grammys. She was recently tapped to play Winnie Mandela in a forthcoming biopic.

Couple slips though security to crash state dinner
WASHINGTON – The Secret Service says it’s looking into its own security procedures after determining that two people crashed Tuesday night’s state dinner at the White House.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan says that President Barack Obama was never in any danger. Donovan says the party crashers went through the same security screening as the 300-plus people actually invited to the dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Röken efter Spinnfyrverkeriet har lagt sig. Kvar ligger en våldtagen skyltdocka fortfarande invirad i rött omslagspapper. Varför?

Erik Westerberg och Kristin Djerf skriver i Dagens Medias blogg “Köksveckan” att “Newsdesk stod för kvällens allra konstigaste pr-stund då Kristofer Björkman bar upp en röd mumifierad kvinna på scenen under någon amatörteaterliknande dialog. Kvinnan visade sig vara Newsdesks Pernilla Åström (som tyckte att det hela var lite penibelt)“.

Ni var nog inte ensamma om att uppleva detta som något av det konstigaste ni sett på en Spinngala. Syftet med upptåget var dock inte att vara konstiga, utan snarare radikalt utmanande. Däremot är jag den förste att hålla med om att ambitionen inte flög som tanken var, varför resultatet landade i ett förbryllande magplask.

Ni som ändå är lite nyfikna på vad vi ville säga med upptåget, hör här:
Med inspiration från diverse installationer i konstsammanhang klädde vi in en skyltdocka i omslagspapp med inmonterad högtalare. Skyltdockan skulle symbolisera en person ur företags vilket som helst) målgrupp. En vanlig människa som är väldigt trött på alla typer av företagskommunikation; ointressanta budskap och påhopp, vid de mest olämpliga tillfällen. Dockan placerades knästående mellan minglet och matsal. Ur högtalarna flödade frustration som: “Jag skiter väl i PR. Hör du vad jag säger, jag skiter väl i PR. Hallå! Här är jag. Lyssna på vad jag säger. Jag skiter i PR. Jag är en vanlig människa som behöver hjälp.“

När Spinn-gästerna satt sig till bords, ätit, druckit, och lite glada i hatten förväntade sig få huvudsponsor presenterad, så skulle jag i egenskap av representat av MyNewsdesk, komma inbärande med personen ur målgruppen, fortfarande inlindad i papp, men denna gång livs levande och skrikandes: “Jag skiter väl i PR, släpp mig, jag är en vanlig människa….“.

På scen utnyttjar jag scenariot för att presentera MyNewsdesk. Som frälsaren river jag av pappret från personen och säger samtidigt: “Lugna dig. Lugna dig, säger jag. Jag är från MyNewsdesk. För oss är du ingen måltavla. För oss är du en människa. Nu är det “du” som kund som står i fokus“.

Vänder mig till Spinn-gästerna och fortsätter: “MyNewsdesk har klivit in som långsiktig huvudsponsor för att vi älskar PR. Inte den som bygger på att överösa människor med information. Utan PR som bygger på riktiga och varaktiga relationer.“

Tanken är ofta god, men nyckfull. Verkligheten mer krass. De flesta av gästerna hade inte noterat installationen innan middagen, än mindre noterat vad den uttryckte. I detta tidiga skede anade vi begynnelsen till ett fiasko, och famlade efter en Plan B, men tiden var knapp och kreativiteten låg. Så sagt blev gjort. Och resultatet ett obegripligt magplask.

Men som jag sa till arbetskollegorna dagen efter: “Den som inte vågar – vinner ingenting. Och vi lämnade i alla fall ingen oberörd.”

Vi ses nästa år!

Gala. Ostatnio w “Milionerach” padło pytanie o muzę i żonę Dalego. Gala. Na imię jej było Gala.

Surrealiści zdawali się mawiać, że jeśli któryś z nich namalował wartościowy obraz, to musiał być zakochany w Gali, rosyjskiej imigrantce, która zajmowała się handlem obrazami, układaniem tarota i zmienianiem kochanków. Famme fatale, kobieta – demon, doprowadzała swego męża – poetę Eluarda do granic wytrzymałości, mimo iż surrealistyczny sposób życia zakładał wolną miłość. Poznawszy Dalego, młodszego od niej o około 10 lat, miała rzec, że już się nigdy nie rozstaną. Jedni złośliwie mawiali, że widziała w nim maszynę do robienia pieniędzy, drudzy, że to wielka miłość, a Dali twierdził, że Gala – jego Gradiva, bogini zwycięstwa, jak mawiał – jest spełnieniem jego fantazji z dzieciństwa.

Dali i Gala

W 1932r. w konsulacie Hiszpani w Paryżu zawarli związek małżeński, a ich ślub kościelny odbył się w 1958, po śmierci Eluarda. Dziwny to był związek. Nie mogli bez siebie wytrzymać, ona biegała z jego obrazami po mecenasach i budowała jego sukces w Ameryce, on sygnował każdy obraz imieniem swoim i ukochanej. I żyli bez zbliżeń fizycznych, bo Dali – oprócz lęku przed pasikonikami – panicznie bał się kobiecych narządów płciowych. Podobno Dali i Gala tylko raz uprawiali seks; Gala (i jej znane nieposkromione libido) zaspokajała się, za przyzwoleniem męża, w ramionach innych mężczyzn.

Gala umarła w 1982 r.  Podobno na początku ich związku Dali obiecał, że zje ciało ukochanej po śmierci (co miało być dowodem miłości!), ostatecznie jednak ciało Gradivy zostało złożone w mauzoleum , w trumnie z żelaznym wiekiem, otoczonej białymi gipsowymi końmi oraz żyrafami Dalego.

Dali nigdy nie otrząsnął się po jej stracie. Umarł siedem lat po niej, wciąż będąc w żałobie po ukochanej. Wrażenia nie wywarł na nim nawet fakt, ze król Juan Carlos I nadał mu tytuł szlachecki markiza de Pubol i jedyne na co się zdobył, to telefoniczna rozmowa z władcą.

L’Olanda si conferma sempre la patria degli sport da ring!!!
L’evento era organizzato da Angelo Meola in collaborazione con la Rings Holland, quindi un gala di assoluto livello e prestigio con ben 17 match in cartellone.
Una fantastica atmosfera si respirava nel palazzetto dello sport di Enschede per quello che sarebbe stato il momento cloù dell’evento, ovvero il titolo Europeo Kombat League di MMA tra l’atleta di casa Danial Sharifi e il brasiliano di stanza in Italia Andrei Almeida.

Per Sharifi era la giusta occasione di vendicare la precedente sconfitta subita da Almeida, e voleva farlo davanti a tutti i suoi tifosi.
Oltre 2.000 olandesi erano li per applaudirlo e dobbiamo ammettere che ha compiuto l’impresa nel migliore dei modi.
Almeida dal canto suo ha disputato un fantastico match, molto combattuto ed alla fine del primo round lo vedevamo in vantaggio.
Ma all’inizio della seconda ripresa una potente ginocchiata al viso dell’atleta di Patrizio Maggiori ha chiuso l’incontro.

Un vero peccato in quanto il pubblico avrebbe meritato di vedere tutte e 3 le riprese che questi due atleti avrebbero potuto offrire

Eu sempre tenho dúvidas qual calça usar, qual camiseta e se estou bem ou não, a verdade é que nunca acerto a roupa na hora de ir pra algum lugar a não ser que seja uniforme, porque se não for ai já viu né!!!

Mais fico feliz em saber que isso não é um problema só meu, tanto que anualmente a Editora Abril lança o Guia VIP de Estilo para homens, e a edição 2010 acaba de sair do forno, ou melhor, da gráfica com dicas que vão te deixar parecendo com um galã de TV.

Vão desde dicas casuais até dicas para festa e eventos de gala, passando claro pelo escritório e por outros eventos simples do dia a dia de um homem, sem falar que as dicas são todas muito praticas e no geral baratas, mas  que conta mesmo é a combinação perfeita de peças e ocasião.

O Guia VIP de Estilo 2010 tem nada menos que 475 imagens para mostrar todos os looks masculinos, e mais ensina a dar nó em gravata, é realmente a salvação de um homem que mora só.

In an unprecedented collaboration, the Adrienne Arsht Center, Miami City Ballet, Florida Grand Opera, and the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy, celebrated a singular fundraising effort for their 2009 Annual Gala.  Generously underwritten by the Yachts of Seabourn, and with the support of Carnival Corporation, the overnight cruise treated guests to an evening filled with beautiful vistas, delicious cuisine, and first-class entertainment.

The Odyssey set sail from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades on Friday afternoon.  Guests enjoyed a sail away reception on the ship’s pool deck and were treated to a breathtaking sunset as the Fort Lauderdale skyline faded into the distance.  Then it was time to change and prepare for the black tie Gala dinner, which was held in the Odyssey’s elegant dining room.  Attendees – a who’s who of South Florida’s top arts enthusiasts, philanthropists, and business leaders – paused for a commemorative photograph before entering for dinner.

After dinner it was time for entertainment in the Odyssey’s Grand Salon.  The show began with a moving performance from Florida Grand Opera soloist Elizabeth Caballero.  She was followed by a performance from New World Symphony fellows Tarn Travers (Violin), Edward Abrams (Piano), Kevin Businsky (Trumpet), Carrie Schafer (Trumpet), Jonas Van Dyke (Horn), Douglas Rosenthal (Trombone), and Karl Wiederwohl (Bass Trombone).  For the evening’s long-awaited act, guests were treated to fantastic performance from stage and screen star Bernadette Peters.  The activities continued long into the night. Once the ship reached international waters, the casino was open for players to try their luck, with all proceeds benefitting the Adrienne Arsht Center and the resident companies.

The Odyssey returned to port early Saturday morning, but the benefits will continue on land throughout the 2009-2010 season. Most of the Gala packages included exclusive artistic experiences with each of the collaborating organizations, such as an in-home concert by the New World Symphony; an invitation to a private black-tie dinner following an opening night performance by Florida Grand Opera; an invitation from Adrienne Arsht Center President and CEO John Richard for six guests to join him in the President’s Box for an Adrienne Arsht Center Presents performance; and six premier box tickets for an opening night performance by Miami City Ballet, including a backstage tour and champagne toast.

The entire community can still participate in this collaboration by purchasing a ticket to win a Volkswagen Eos, the award-winning hardtop convertible from Volkswagen, living in the lobby of the Ziff Ballet Opera House for the next few months. With this generous donation by the Esserman Automotive Group, the Arsht Center and its resident companies will be able to reach their fundraising goal. Drawing ticket sales will continue through the holidays, with the drawing scheduled to take place on the evening of Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2010 at the Adrienne Arsht Center (event and time to be announced).

The suggested minimum contribution is $100 per ticket—limit of 10 tickets per person.  There will be a sales close-out after 1,000 tickets are sold. If you’re feeling lucky, enter the drawing at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House Lobby during performances or call 786.468.2243.
