<p>You&#8217;ve heard the rumors, and Apple has now confirmed that it will be bringing Siri voice control to its new iPhone 4S &#8212; and, yes, it will still be called Siri. That will let you use natural language to perform tasks like asking for a weather forecast or getting directions, setting an alarm or making a calendar appointment, and searching Wikipedia or Wolfram Alpha for information (among many other possibilities). Described as a &#8220;humble personal assistant,&#8221; Siri will work in English (including the UK and Australia), French and German for now, and it&#8217;ll work with all built-in apps and over both 3G and WiFi. It&#8217;ll also be a beta to start with, and Apple promises that it &#8220;gets better&#8221; as it learns your voice. Unfortunately for current iPhone owners, however, it looks like Siri will only be available on the iPhone 4S (at least initially).</p>

<p>Okay, so it wasn&#8217;t much of a surprise, but Amazon finally has a tablet, and as expected its name picks up where the Kindle left off: Fire. Of course, rumors of an Amazon tablet date back to this time last year (if not before), but it seems that Jeff and co. have wisely chosen to get this thing out on the open market before having yet another wild and wacky holiday quarter. <em>Bloomberg</em> has curiously reported on some of the details before the event itself kicks off, noting that the 7-inch device will run a version of Android while acting much like a &#8220;souped-up Kindle.&#8221; The real kicker, however, is the price &#8212; at just $199, it&#8217;s bound to turn heads, regardless of whether you were interested in a slate before. Naturally, that bargain-bin sticker explains the lack of an embedded camera and microphone, though consumers will find WiFi (no 3G, sadly) and a 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. It&#8217;s also quite clear that Amazon&#8217;s hoping to make a bigger splash on the content side of things than has been made already by Apple, and with the deals flowing like wine, we wouldn&#8217;t be shocked if it does just that.</p>

<strong>Update</strong>: Itching for specs? How&#8217;s about a 7-inch IPS (!) panel, Gorilla Glass coating, a 1GHz TI OMAP dual-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a chassis that weighs 14.6 ounces. There&#8217;s also access to things you&#8217;d expect to have access to: Android Appstore (though <em>no access</em> to Google&#8217;s Android Market!), Kindle books, magazines, etc. &#8212; all stored for free via Amazon Cloud Storage. Per Jeff: &#8220;Delete it and get it back when you want.&#8221; Oh, and Whispersync now works with movies and TV shows! &#8220;When you get home, switch to your big screen TV. Your movie will be right where you left it.&#8221; While it&#8217;s clearly Android underneath, the actual UI looks effectively nothing like it &#8212; considering <em>TechCrunch</em>&#8216;s intel that Amazon went and did its own thing without Google&#8217;s blessing, we guess that makes some level of sense. Oh, and pre-orders are set to start today (but only for Americans&#8230; boo), with shipments heading out on November 15th.</p>

This is quite the weak move on HTC&#8217;s part if you ask me. I had to throw my 2 cents into the mix and explain why that idea has failed before it&#8217;s even been set in motion.</p>
<h2>1. HTC can&#8217;t just create their own OS?</h2>
<p>I might not go that far, but they should at least be putting in some hard work if they are planning on going up against Apple &#38; iOS. Right now Apple controls the Tablet world, the Smartphone world, and is either close to or already is, controlling the Personal Computer climate. We will get back to that later, not to mention Digital Music or anything in their sub-production / software lines..</p>
<p>I just feel that instead of going out and purchasing an already functioning, already complete and sold a ton of units type of OS — They should actually be putting some hours in. It&#8217;s okay when a company buys a suffering project — even one that is doing quite well in the creation process, but not one that has been <em>finished</em> and <em>around</em> for.. ever.</p>

<h2>2. Apple has a fairly long lease on the climate</h2>
<p>I&#8217;m sure the mainstream is quite aware of the Tablet Market at the moment. They can&#8217;t quite put their fingers on it, but they do know one thing, or maybe, <em>don&#8217;t</em> know one thing. &#8220;What exactly is a tablet?&#8221; Unless it has tablet in the product name, most mainstreamers think of that old crappy gadget from HP or Motorola with a &#8216;stylus&#8217; — or that huge, bulky, terribly designed, Palm looking thing. Even something that looks like a small Toughbook.</p>
<p>Apple controls the mainstream with iOS, and even at this point, Mac OS. No mainstreamer is going to go out and purchase an Samsung Tablet unless it&#8217;s suggested by a friend, and they&#8217;re not into the iPad. And let me tell you, not many people <em>aren&#8217;t</em> into the iPad. Grown men turn into little mindless children when an iPad is in their grasp.</p>
<p>If you say tablet, we say, &#8220;Oh the iPad?&#8221;</p>
<h2>3. Everything else is just a copy</h2>
<p>Besides the fact that they just plain and simple won&#8217;t even be <em>competition</em> for iOS.. They know it too. To an Apple iPad, most of the tablets out right now look like Kindles. Disregarding the ones that have the same damn design Apple pioneered in the beginning with the touch screen.</p>
<p>We all know who started what we now call the standard in touch displays and gestures. We all know who designed a device that contained practically nothing but a giant screen. We all <em>also</em> know who started the current standard style for a tablet on the market.</p>
<p>All these tablets wouldn&#8217;t exist without their father, the iPhone originally, and now the iPad. It takes a long time for a kid to become strong enough to finally kick his fathers ass. It hasn&#8217;t been that long since the first launch of these game-changing products.</p>
<p><strong>Overall</strong>: None of the tablets created by anyone (maybe just about 2 exceptions) will be / are GAME-CHANGERS. There was ONE game-changer. The game has been changed. It&#8217;s not due for another for a long, long time. This is just my 2 cents guys.. I&#8217;m not going crazy over all of this, but It&#8217;s just something for you to keep in mind as you see this unfold.</p>

And it is a little &#8212; but there are also some interesting macro implications herein you&#8217;ll want to see.</p>
<p>For starters, baseball is one of the oldest, and most beloved games in the U.S. After all, it&#8217;s our national sport. (Though I still haven&#8217;t figured out exactly what that means, do we have to salute it?) And for almost as long as the game itself has been around, there have been scorekeepers &#8212; the people that remind us who won and who lost. You may have seen one of <a href="http://mlblogssnaggingbaseballs.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/7_kathryn_ball_keeping_score-thumb-550x412-13859611.jpg?w=550&#38;h=412">these fans</a> in the crowd at a game. In fact, it just so happens that youth baseball rules state that each team has to have a parent or other team authority keep score. For both teams. High school baseball doesn&#8217;t require each team to keep the score, as far as I know, that usually falls on the umpires or league officials.</p>
<p>But, considering there are over 400K little league and high school baseball teams in the U.S., there&#8217;s a significant amount of scorekeeping goin&#8217; on &#8212; to say the least. Yet, it&#8217;s a practice that, like the game itself, hasn&#8217;t changed much over the years: Traditionally, it&#8217;s all been paper and pencil. And, as a parent, player, or fan, it&#8217;s never been easy to keep track of local, amateur games. Professional games and teams? Yes. But not much else. Local media is getting better at keeping tabs on games and individual players, but there&#8217;s generally a lag, and the information is often spotty at best.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gamechanger.io/">GameChanger Media</a>, a startup founded in January 2009, is helping usher amateur sports into the digital age by offering a scorekeeping and stat-tracking app for mobile phones and tablets. Coaches or parents can keep score of baseball and softball games (GameChanger will soon be adding basketball and more) and track up to 150 different stats.</p>
<p>The apps are intuitive to use, powerful, and with one swipe you move players around the field, showing hits, outs, steals, etc. The data lives on Gamechanger&#8217;s servers, so the apps don&#8217;t slow down your devices. This also enables GameChanger to serve live scoring and statistical information. Fans and interested parents who might not be able to get to the game can choose premium services, which will allow access to SMS, email, Facebook, and Twitter alerts, customizable for particular teams and players, so that you can keep tabs on your son or daughter as they play. Local media sites can also embed GameChanger widgets into their sites to give local readers realtime info on their high school&#8217;s team, for example. (For those getting impatient, fast-forward to the 10th paragraph.)</p>
<p>And GameChanger is growing like gangbusters. The startup added 10K teams in 2010 and has gained another 14K active teams so far in 2011. What&#8217;s more, in the last 30 days alone, the service sent over 1 million live game alert emails.</p>
<p>While GameChanger has been focused on building a robust service for baseball and softball, rather than quickly expanding to other sports, GameChanger Co-founder and CEO Ted Sullivan tells me that the team has spent a significant amount of energy on building a sport-agnostic stat engine, so that when they&#8217;re ready, adding new sports won&#8217;t require them to start from scratch.</p>
<p>As to the technical explanation for what that means, Co-Founder and CTO Kiril Savino said that the startup has built <em>&#8220;a mobile app framework based on an &#8216;event&#8217; engine that creates and operates on streams of sequential events, be they basketball rebounds or baseball pitches, and use a schema-less database to hold that data. Our proprietary &#8220;stat engine&#8221; operates on such streams of events according to a configurable ruleset to generate arbitrarily complex statistics&#8221;.</em></p>
<p>Back in March, GameChanger inked a big partnership with CBS Interactive&#8217;s <a href="http://www.maxpreps.com/national/national.htm">MaxPreps.com</a> (CBS&#8217; resource for all things high school sports), in which high school baseball and softball teams using GameChanger will be able to have their games and stats published immediately to MaxPreps.</p>
<p><a href="http://tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/narrative-science.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-314132" title="narrative-science" src="http://tctechcrunch2011.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/narrative-science.png?w=268&#038;h=206" alt="" width="268" height="206" /></a> But, here&#8217;s what&#8217;s really interesting: A more recent partnership with under-the-radar, Battery Ventures-backed <a href="http://www.narrativescience.com/">Narrative Science</a> &#8212; a startup that transforms raw data into high-quality editorial content &#8212; is a deal that has real implications for an entire industry. (Journalists may soon be taking another body blow.)</p>
<p>As Narrative Science takes raw, quantitative data and turns it into news articles, this means that, at the end of every baseball game scored on GameChanger, the coach can simply hit a button to instantly generate an AP-style article about the game that just wrapped. Check out an example <a href="http://www.gamechanger.io/game-4deaca06f0b06d2aff000005/recap">here</a>. The article is by no means perfect, there are some grammatical inconsistencies and some repetition, but it&#8217;s by no means awful. GameChanger has posted over 105K of these auto-generated game recap stories since May 1st, written by Narrative Science, to its users.</p>
<p>The partnership is still in beta, and there are some technical bugs the two startups still have to work out, but this is an early look at a real content mill. As Narrative Science&#8217;s technology continues to be refined, we could be looking at a scenario in the not-too-distant future where sportswriters (and beyond), especially those working at local media outlets, begin wrestling with obsolescence. It&#8217;s a valuable and intriguing service (the applications could be surprisingly broad) but there&#8217;s no doubt that the startup will certainly have to take a delicate approach to publicity. (I say with a touch of irony.)</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also interesting to see the little ways in which GameChanger is bringing &#8220;modern&#8221; technology into niche markets and to a young audience. For example, Sullivan (who&#8217;s a former minor league player) said that high school booster clubs are using their club budgets to buy iPads for their school&#8217;s baseball and softball teams. And parents, too, are taking the bait.</p>
<p>That being said, GameChanger does have some competition, especially from one company that already has a lion&#8217;s share of the sports market. ESPN has its own scorekeeping app with <a href="http://iscorecentral.com/baseball/">iScore</a>, so GameChanger hopes to parlay the media giant by offering a more robust suite of realtime statistics, by really attacking the amateur sports audience, especially between the ages of 10 to 18, and by forging partnerships with businesses with complementary audiences or services, like Narrative Science.</p>
<p>GameChanger also recently partnered with Rawlings, one of the largest manufacturers of sports equipment, to create a customized and branded page for Rawlings to educate GameChanger users on a nationwide, sport-wide change to aluminum baseball stats. In the coming year, practically every high school baseball player in the country will be buying a new bat, and Rawlings wants a piece of the rapidly growing GameChanger audience.</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s how the startup plans to make money: Through premium features and strategic partnerships with big brands. With 10 people on staff and over $2 million in funding raised from various angel investors, GameChanger is on its way, but it will need to continue its hockey-stick-type user acquisition if it hopes to fend off Goliaths like ESPN.</p>

<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Will inflation turn out to be a game-changer in India?</span></h3>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#330066;"><strong>If the RBI decides its foremost task is to stamp out inflation, never mind if it flattens the growth rate also in the process, that would be change we don’t want. However, inflation can also drastically change the rural landscape, boosting farm output and delivering millions out of poverty-provided the right policy initiatives are forthcoming.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#330066;"><strong>Inflation is driven by, even if not confined to, food, particularly superior food: vegetables, egg, meat, milk, fish and lentils, vegetables and protein, in other words. Nor is this confined to India. Over the past 10 years, the least developed countries as a group have grown at an average rate of 7% a year. All of them witness a spurt in the demand for food. And for a variety of reasons ranging from prolonged drought to excessive rains, supplies have been disrupted, raising food prices across the board. Of course, the huge expansion in liquidity unleashed by the US and other developed countries, pumping speculative capital into all commodity markets, adding a thick layer of froth to the real pressures pushing prices upwards, plays its role as well. The net result: Thomas Malthus, who made the dire but fortunately erroneous forecast that the human race would proliferate faster than food production can grow, is back in fashion.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#330066;"><strong>Beating Malthus is fait accompli. People not only have proliferated with abandon but also enjoy ever-improving standards of living, instead of straining hollow eyes into a darkening future of dwindling food supplies. However, beating Malthus promises to rise as a fresh challenge, an enormously profitable one. India has varied agroclimatic regions, capable of producing a great variety of crops. The challenge is to harness the potential and boost India’s farm output to feed not just a burgeoning India but also the rest of the world. It looks daunting but is, in fact, eminently doable.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#330066;"><strong>Agricultural economist Ashok Gulati reports that the largest boost to farm income comes from investment in rural roads compared to other forms of agri-related investment. This offers a key insight that our policymaking obsession with the technical means of raising yields has ignored: farm production, too, is determined by the market. If you provide farmers easier access to markets for farm inputs and output, they would make use of that access to raise output and incomes. If the best seeds and fertiliser boost production in an interior village which cannot evacuate the surplus harvest to a market outside, the only result of the surplus would be to depress local prices and farmers’ incomes. On the other hand, if farmers can take their produce to buyers outside, their income would amplify.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#330066;"><strong>A primitive system of state-mandated monopoly denies Indian farmers the freedom of choice in whom they sell to. The Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee Act must be scrapped. An organised, efficient supply chain must link farmers with urban consumers. This is what organised retail would do, if it is allowed to. Amul achieved this in the case of milk. New farmers companies or cooperatives should now be catalysed to accomplish this for other produce.</strong></span></p>
<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Observation of and by Blogger:</span></h3>

<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#800000;"><em><strong>On the same lines as mentioned in paragraph above lets have some discussion on a very popular model &#8212; Acclaimed by Corporates as a Great Success Story. I do not think that every individuals who talks about it and considers it as a success has gone deeper in search of reality. So here it starts:</strong></em></span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008000;"><em><strong>Widely acclaimed as an ICT success story, <span style="color:#800000;">it typifies the complete corporatization of the social enterprise model. </span></strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008000;"><em><strong>An initiative <span style="color:#800000;">seeking to become the Wal-Mart of rural India</span>, e-Choupal is a gateway to an expanding spectrum of  commodities leaving farms and also selling to rural India urban oriented goods and services like FMCG, consumer durables and insurance services (Gurumurthy, 2009; Prahalad, 2006). </strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008000;"><em><strong>Based on a business model providing connectivity and services to a closed network of farmers through <span style="color:#800000;">an entrepreneur whose role, interestingly, is projected by ITC as a “public office”,</span> e-Choupal exemplifies the win-win problematique (Gurumurthy, 2009; Prahalad, 2006). </strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#800000;"><em><strong>However a closer study of the model, from a development perspective, unpacking the socio-politics of the e-Choupal ecosystem, indicates a monopolistic control over the entire local agriculture ecology by a transnational corporation through the use of a captive ICT infrastructure, with minimal regulation and competition. </strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008000;"><em><strong>The e-Choupal hubs serve as sales outlets for agriculture and other products and services. Cutting off alternative systems, local middlemen and government services, e-Choupal locks in a large number of farmers into its network.</strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#800000;"><em><strong> While the project has resulted in some increase in rural agricultural incomes through privatization driven efficiency improvements in the supply chain, e-Choupal underscores ‘trickle-down’ and individual enterprise at the village levels (Gurumurthy, 2009; Prahalad, 2006). </strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#0000ff;"><em><strong>The average village shopkeeper/entrepreneur is bound to get affected as local demand for goods and services shifts to ITC and Choupal sagars. <p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#0000ff;"><em><strong>This has allowed targeting, positioning and delivering goods and services to match their needs and wants continuously, succinctly called Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in marketing parlance.</strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#800000;"><em><strong> This makes them more vulnerable to a shift from the present more or less sustainable existence to materialistic consumerism. Little awareness of their (farmer’s) rights may not guarantee total protection of the database and its unethical usage. This is where the government is expected to protect its citizens from such transactions. </strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#0000ff;"><em><strong>However, the government has been changing slowly but surely towards a free market economy. </strong></em></span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#333300;"><em>It was nicely crafted and argued article by T K Arun, and all the arguments look relatively on rational side, but I have my apprehensions, which may be dubbed as irrational or idiotic.  But I feel like sharing.  The below is article I am talking about.</em></span></p>
<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#008000;text-decoration:underline;">Will inflation turn out to be a game-changer in India?</span></span></h3>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008080;"><strong>If the RBI decides its foremost task is to stamp out inflation, never mind if it flattens the growth rate also in the process, that would be change we don’t want. However, inflation can also drastically change the rural landscape, boosting farm output and delivering millions out of poverty-provided the right policy initiatives are forthcoming.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008080;"><strong>Inflation is driven by, even if not confined to, food, particularly superior food: vegetables, egg, meat, milk, fish and lentils, vegetables and protein, in other words. Nor is this confined to India. Over the past 10 years, the least developed countries as a group have grown at an average rate of 7% a year. All of them witness a spurt in the demand for food. And for a variety of reasons ranging from prolonged drought to excessive rains, supplies have been disrupted, raising food prices across the board. Of course, the huge expansion in liquidity unleashed by the US and other developed countries, pumping speculative capital into all commodity markets, adding a thick layer of froth to the real pressures pushing prices upwards, plays its role as well. The net result: Thomas Malthus, who made the dire but fortunately erroneous forecast that the human race would proliferate faster than food production can grow, is back in fashion.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008080;"><strong>Beating Malthus is fait accompli. People not only have proliferated with abandon but also enjoy ever-improving standards of living, instead of straining hollow eyes into a darkening future of dwindling food supplies. However, beating Malthus promises to rise as a fresh challenge, an enormously profitable one. India has varied agroclimatic regions, capable of producing a great variety of crops. The challenge is to harness the potential and boost India’s farm output to feed not just a burgeoning India but also the rest of the world. It looks daunting but is, in fact, eminently doable.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008080;"><strong>Agricultural economist Ashok Gulati reports that the largest boost to farm income comes from investment in rural roads compared to other forms of agri-related investment. This offers a key insight that our policymaking obsession with the technical means of raising yields has ignored: farm production, too, is determined by the market. If you provide farmers easier access to markets for farm inputs and output, they would make use of that access to raise output and incomes. If the best seeds and fertiliser boost production in an interior village which cannot evacuate the surplus harvest to a market outside, the only result of the surplus would be to depress local prices and farmers’ incomes. On the other hand, if farmers can take their produce to buyers outside, their income would amplify.</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#008080;"><strong>A primitive system of state-mandated monopoly denies Indian farmers the freedom of choice in whom they sell to. The Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee Act must be scrapped. An organised, efficient supply chain must link farmers with urban consumers. This is what organised retail would do, if it is allowed to. Amul achieved this in the case of milk. New farmers companies or cooperatives should now be catalysed to accomplish this for other produce.</strong></span></p>
<h3 style="text-align:justify;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#800000;text-decoration:underline;">Observation of and by Blogger:</span></span></h3>

<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>Would someone like to comment on the situation that forced a Nation&#8217;s Goverment and its legislatures to formulate, pass and implement APMC Act, that today every one says should be scraped. </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>Inplace of just talking of implementing what the columnist T K Arun has argued in his article &#8220;Will Inflation Turn Out to be A Game Changer in India&#8221;; I would like to take my audiences a step ahead and deliberate on one of such models. </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>On the same lines as mentioned in paragraph above lets have some discussion on a very popular model &#8212; Acclaimed by Corporates as a Great Success Story. I do not think that every individuals who talks about it and considers it as a success has gone deeper in search of reality. So here it starts:</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#008000;text-decoration:underline;"><strong>E &#8211; Choupal of ITC</strong></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>Widely acclaimed as an ICT success story, <span style="color:#800080;">it typifies the complete corporatization of the social enterprise model. </span></strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>An initiative <span style="color:#800080;">seeking to become the Wal-Mart of rural India</span>, e-Choupal is a gateway to an expanding spectrum of  commodities leaving farms and also selling to rural India urban oriented goods and services like FMCG, consumer durables and insurance services (Gurumurthy, 2009; Prahalad, 2006). </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>Based on a business model providing connectivity and services to a closed network of farmers through <span style="color:#800080;">an entrepreneur whose role, interestingly, is projected by ITC as a “public office”</span>, e-Choupal exemplifies the win-win problematique (Gurumurthy, 2009; Prahalad, 2006). </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>However a closer study of the model, from a development perspective, unpacking the socio-politics of the e-Choupal ecosystem, indicates a monopolistic control over the entire local agriculture ecology by a transnational corporation through the use of a captive ICT infrastructure, with minimal regulation and competition. </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>The e-Choupal hubs serve as sales outlets for agriculture and other products and services. Cutting off alternative systems, local middlemen and government services, e-Choupal locks in a large number of farmers into its network.</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#800080;"><em><strong> While the project has resulted in some increase in rural agricultural incomes through privatization driven efficiency improvements in the supply chain, e-Choupal underscores ‘trickle-down’ and individual enterprise at the village levels (Gurumurthy, 2009; Prahalad, 2006). </strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>The average village shopkeeper/entrepreneur is bound to get affected as local demand for goods and services shifts to ITC and Choupal sagars. Needless to mention livelihood of traders/middlemen whose livelihood has been squelched through this model. </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>Further, <span style="color:#800080;">the ‘DNA’ profile of the farmers acquired during the registration</span> of e-Choupals has allowed ITC to determine and understand their buying behavior very closely. </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>This has allowed targeting, positioning and delivering goods and services to match their needs and wants continuously, succinctly called Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in marketing parlance.</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong> This makes them <span style="color:#800080;">more vulnerable to a shift from the present more or less sustainable existence to materialistic consumerism.</span> Little <span style="color:#800080;">awareness of their (farmer’s) rights</span> may not guarantee total protection of the database and its unethical usage. This is where the government is expected to protect its citizens from such transactions. </strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><em><strong>However, the government has been changing slowly but surely towards a free market economy. </strong></em></p>

<p>For me its controlling netflix.  That is huge.  Growing up we always had a flight to the death over the remote, because that person got to determine what other people watched.  Now the stakes are even higher, we went through 3 peanut remotes in the past four years (kids use them as projectiles, dogs confuse them for chew toys&#8230;well you get the idea.)  Also remotes have gotten so complicated that my mother, or my mother-in-law request I turn on the TV for them.  These are smart, educated women (engineering degree, patent holder.)  Now a wave of your hand or foot can get you to your favorite show.</p>
<p>Like the IPhone, the Kinect is relatively inexpensive, commercially available, has low barriers for development, and a developer community that loves to share hacks.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve found myself changing worlds&#8230; after years in the biggest online MMORPG game I&#8217;ve moved on to the planes of Telara. I think my main reason for staying with the game for so long is the social part of it as I&#8217;ve been bored shitless the last year. The only thing keeping me ingame was the fact that I was in love with another girl in game and she ment the world to me&#8230; but since she barely ever speaks to me anymore I found no reason to bother logging on anymore so when my friend showed me this awesome new world I jumped ship and haven&#8217;t regretted it since.</p>
<p>Lucky for me I got my most loyal friends to follow so I&#8217;ll enjoy both a new world and at the same time being social. I&#8217;ve noticed I don&#8217;t feel like playing 24/7 even tho I adore the game but I actually find time to enjoy some movies and series in the evenings which is great. I&#8217;m not much of a real lifer, I guess I never were&#8230; which is why it&#8217;s easy for me to accept the fact that I&#8217;ll be undateable forever&#8230; Will I forget her&#8230; doubtful as I can&#8217;t get her out of my mind&#8230; but I&#8217;ve come to term with the fact that I was right yet again (don&#8217;t you hate it when that happens), I am way to boring for a girl keeping in touch over a longer period than 9 months. Conclusion&#8230; I&#8217;d be a horrible father prospect as she&#8217;d be tired of me before &#8220;you&#8221; get born.</p>
<p>Anyways&#8230; I&#8217;m sure Rift will keep me entertained till the next MMO comes around. Fictional (ingame) women are easier to talk to and you never fall for them (as they are mostly played by men)&#8230;</p>
